I live in the beautiful suburb of Menora, Perth, Western AustraliaAustralia, I'm 50 years old, and married to the incredible Terry, who's a fellow faster these days. I'm a mother to a 23-year-old and 21-year-old twin, all gorgeous young men. Fur Mum to two Aussie Shepherds, Savannah & Angelica. I own and run my own business selling energy cleansing &lifting products, and I was a hairdresser in my past life. I've had weight issues my whole life, at 17 I was diagnosed with PSOS, now at the other end in peri/menopause and on HRT.I went through 18 cycles of IVF to have my beautiful boys. Atmy highest weight (after IVF and the baby's) | was 130kg (290lbs) and at my lowest 55kg (121lbs). IF Starting Date: 3rd October 2022SW: 91.6kg (201lbs)CW: 64kg (141lbs)First Time Lost: 27kg (60lbs) Second Time Loss: 14kg (30lbs)Height: 160cm (5'3”)I lost 27kg (60lbs) from 3rd October 2022 till September 2023, doing clean IF, then slowly with mostly 4 4-hour daily windows and some slack food choices like casual drinking wine, as well as a couple of big life moments full of stress Iregained 14kg (30lbs) of my weight by 26 August 2024, when my weight was 78kg (171lbs). Strict OMAD (1 hour mostly a day), alcohol free, and cardio exercise 5 times a week till mid March 2025, got my weight back to 70kg (154lbs). I felt the weight lost the second time around was a lot harder and ahell of a lot slower. My weight loss got stuck around 70kg (154lbs) for over 7 weeks, so I reluctantly started ADF for the first time on 24th March 2025., Wednesday, Friday, with OMAD Sundays, I lost 6kg (13lbs) in 4 weeks. I never thought I could or wanted to do ADF, but I like it now. I've always cleaned fasted and don't do the 500-calorie down day option. So here I am, 2 years and six ish months into my IF lifestyle, back to 64kg (141lbs) in my second round of maintenance, alcohol free, working on muscle tone as well as cardio, and myself physically, emotionally and spiritually daily
CeADAR, Ireland's Centre for AI, will visit Kerry next month to host an information and networking event for companies and public sector organisations aiming to transform their operations with Artificial Intelligence. The technology hub is offering the free event as part of its EDIH for AI Programme, an initiative to provide data science expertise and resources to support start-ups, small and medium-sized enterprises, and public sector organisations, as they seek to digitalise their operations in pursuit of greater productivity, competitiveness, and sustainability. The event will take place at the RDI Hub in Killorglin, Co. Kerry, on Thursday, May 1, from 1pm until 2pm. Attendees will hear how organisations can access CeADAR's fully funded EDIH for AI services, including digital maturity assessments and advisory services, specialist training and upskilling, and prototype development and testing. Speakers will outline a range of case studies across sectors that illustrate outcomes from past collaborations, while the event will also provide an opportunity for attendees to meet with CeADAR's data science team to discuss their specific business needs and understand how AI can be used to respond to those challenges. The EDIH is a €700m European initiative comprising more than 150 tech hubs across 30 countries. CeADAR's selection as the EDIH for AI in Ireland came with an initial funding boost of €6 million over three years. The award is jointly supported by the EU and the Government of Ireland through Enterprise Ireland. CeADAR CEO John Lonsdale will be attending the event along with EDIH Programme Manager Laura Plunkett and other EDIH staff. EDIH Programme Manager Laura Plunkett says: "We're delighted to collaborate with the RDI Hub in Killorglin on this event, and look forward to hosting start-ups, SMEs and PSOs for an afternoon of information sharing and networking. Events such as this are vital to our mission, to empower Irish organisations to explore and experiment with AI and drive digital transformation in Ireland." CeADAR CEO John Lonsdale says: "EDIH for AI events such as this hosted at the RDI Hub on May 1 provide Irish enterprise and public sector workers with the information and contacts necessary to transform their operations. While innovations in technology are making domestic and international business more competitive than ever before, they also provide significant opportunities for start-ups and SMEs to scale quickly, and for public sector organisations to streamline their processes to maximise their efficiency. CeADAR is delighted to be playing a central role in this mission, and we look forward to hosting more EDIH for AI events in the future." RDI Hub CEO Liam Cronin says: "We are proud to welcome CeADAR to the RDI Hub on Thursday May 1 and we are looking forward to the insights and case studies on how AI can enhance performance, strategy, and engagement. The RDI Hub has a strong connection with AI, fostering a collaborative environment where entrepreneurs and innovators can harness cutting-edge technology to drive progress in various sectors. Our mission is to position the South West of Ireland as a global leader in technology and innovation, and the collaboration with CeADAR is testament to that vision." See more stories here.

The Hormonal Solution Podcast"Finn Spermidine her: www.superstate.no Rabattkode: Corebalance10Oslo skin lab: https://www.osloskinlab.noRabattkode: Biohacking60
Exciting news for those in the PSO world! The United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit issued an opinion (In re Baycare Medical Group, 101 F.4th 1287 (11th Cir. 2024)) on May 14, 2024 that expands the scope of information, known as “Patient Safety Work Product,” protected by the Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Act (“PSQIA”). The Court rejects the “sole purpose” test articulated by other courts and the Department of Health and Human Services (“HHS”), finding that the test and HHS's guidance “contradicts” the PSQIA's final regulations. The “sole purpose” test was extremely limiting in what providers could categorize as Patient Safety Work Product because the information had to be generated solely for reporting to a PSO. Now, with the Eleventh Circuit's rejection of the test, it allows additional types of information to qualify as Patient Safety Work Product. Join Horty, Springer and Mattern partners Dan Mulholland and Charlie Chulack for a discussion of the PSQIA, the “sole purpose” test, the In re Baycare Medical Group case, and how the opinion will affect PSOs, and providers that contract with PSOs, during the podcast “Patient Safety Organizations – New Court Case Provides New Opportunities.”
On today's pod, we are celebrating PSO's first solo art show at Klaus von Nichtssagend Gallery in New York City with a listen to Side B of the lathe cut LP produced in a limited edition of 20 for the show. Side A includes eight of the nine past PSO pieces whose images are framed, and Side B is a suite of 4 movements recorded among trains and the dust of the famous West Texas town of Marfa. The second movement was featured on porchswingorchestra.org as PSO no.226, Ziggy Ice Plant, Marfa, Texas, March 13, 2024.The exhibit at Klaus features selections from nine past PSOs whose pictures are framed along with ambient sound played through two amazing speakers provided by PSO uber mensch, Mark Menjivar. Sounds and sites from Spiral Jetty, are situated next to pebble cascades from Maine, and the sounds of fireworks on election eve of 2020 are pictured from the porch along with many more PSO pieces.Behind the framed images lies an array of images directly adhered to the wall which range in size from 8 by 10 to 40 by 60 inches. These images are pixel remixes of the framed photographs. The sound is collaged from the 9 audio pieces. As with all things PSO, everything comes from the original experience of the site itself. You can purchase the physical record through the links below:Porch Swing Orchestra Website: https://porchswingorchestra.org/PSO Exhibit at Klaus von Nichtssagend Gallery through June 22, 2024https://klausgallery.com/exhibition/barry-stone-porch-swing-orchestra-2024-05-17/Barry Stone: Porch Swing Orchestra physical record is available athttps://klausgallery.com/product/barry-stone-porch-swing-orchestra-2024/Porch Swing Orchestra digital files are available on Bandcamp https://sunsetcommission.bandcamp.com/ Get full access to Porch Swing Orchestra at porchswingorchestra.substack.com/subscribe

Armed guards or 'PSOs' were introduced in 2011 and began patrolling Victorian train stations in 2014. But is more security the best solution for safer train and bus travel?
I live in the Northern Suburbs of Perth Western Australia, I'm 48 years old, almost married to the incredible Terry (hopefully we will get married this year as I kept telling him I wouldn't marry him while I was overweight) we been engaged for 8 years. I'm a mother to a 21 year old and 19 year old twins, all gorgeous young men now. Fur Mum to an Old English Sheepdog Benson and our baby a 1 year old rescued German Shepherd who has severe leg problems due to such severe malnourishment before being rescued. I own and run my own business selling energy cleansing & lifting products, I was a Hairdresser in my past life. I've had weight issues my whole life, at 17 I was diagnosed with PSOS, now at the other end in peri menopause. I went through 18 cycles IVF to have my beautiful boys. At my highest weight (after IVF and the baby's) I was 130kg (290lbs) and at my lowest 55kg (121lbs) when the twins where about 7 years old, from a strict calorie deficit and running addiction, looking back at photos I think I was too thin at this weight. My height is 160cm (5'3”) so I'm a shorty
Welcome to Food Freedom and Fertility, this week we are talking about planning to conceive after a baby- getting your cycle back and much much more! Caitlin and Sophia discuss the landscape post-partum territory looks like. The first topic of discussion is how soon after my baby is born should I be trying for my next. Sophia and Caitlin share the different research on the different reasons why it is important to wait a certain amount of time and how your body can still be recovering from nutrient deficiencies, C-section trauma, postpartum depression and other things your you need time to heal from. They also share how your risk can increase the closer together your pregnancies are and what that means for your baby. We realize that sometimes pregnancy can happen unexpectantly and they also say how to take care of yourself, your unborn baby and your baby out of your belly if you do become pregnant if you are under 1-year post-partum (which is the least amount of time that is recommended between births) Another question to consider is your lifestyle, how you parent, how you feed, how you sleep. Our hosts walk you through the different scenarios and how each one could be affected by having another baby. They want you to know that if you are breastfeeding that relationship may change with your non-utero baby, your body will prioritize the baby inside, your supply will decrease but there are ways around that such as donor milk. This episode also discusses the question of “Is my cycle back?”. Some women with PCOS can be confused by the new cycle and can't tell the difference between a standard post-partum cycle return and PSOS, so they suggest getting lab work done to give a definitive answer. They also mention that once your baby starts sleeping longer, women typically start to get their cycle back or if there is another source of hormonal feedback it can trigger your cycle to start again. To wrap up the episode Caitlin and Sophia want you to work on your thoughts about yourself and do what is best for you and your body. Also consider that your most healthy self isn't necessarily your most fertile self. Continue to stay on your prenatal and remember that your body is not a trash disposal for you to dump junk into, so continue the healthy eating and be sure to check in on your mental health. You can also get lab work done to check your Vitamin D, iron and immune levels to ensure you have recovered from your blood loss from your previous pregnancy. Review your life without judgement and prioritize your health and the health of your family, there is no need to rush your timeline. Listen to your intuition and do what is best for your body. Welcome to The Nonlinear Library, where we use Text-to-Speech software to convert the best writing from the Rationalist and EA communities into audio. This is: A Summary of Profession-Based Community Building, published by Sean Lawrence on December 20, 2022 on The Effective Altruism Forum. TLDR: there are now a notable number of profession-based community building organisations in EA and below you will find the key activities, team structure, and ways to get involved for several of the most active organisations. Summary There has been a significant increase in the number of organisations catering to specific professions – profession-specific organisations (PSOs) – over the past 12-24 months and we want to update the community on who some of these organisations are and what they seek to provide for their members and the broader EA community. Please note that this list is not fully comprehensive. It should be treated as a partial snapshot of some of the organisations that exist in this space and a window into some of the ways in which they are doing community building in a profession-specific context. If your profession isn't listed on this post then you may find an organisation that does cater for it on High Impact Professional's Professional Groups Directory, which is a more comprehensive resource for finding professional groups (see their EA forum post). If you run a PSO that isn't on the High Impact Professionals' Workplace and Professional Groups Directory, please email Devon or book a call with him. Additionally, High Impact Professionals can help nascent PSOs through strategic support, reviewing grant proposals, making introductions, and more so don't hesitate to get in touch! If you run a PSO and would like to be added to this post, please copy and fill out this template and send it to Sean. The What and Why of Profession-Specific Organisations PSOs focus their organisational mission and scope on supporting a specific profession, or group of related professions, with tailored content and programming to help members of that field learn more about EA and how they can contribute to the shared project of doing the most good in the world. Additionally, PSOs provide a community of like-minded professionals to help increase network effects amongst members, limit value-drift and make the EA space more welcoming to professionals overall. Goals We think this post could be valuable to: Increase the awareness of existing PSOs and their activities. Recent EAGs have given some of us the impression that members of the EA community are unaware that there are active community building efforts targeting professionals and what each group's target focus and mechanisms of engagement are. Summarise the methods for engagement with professionals. This post may help to motivate nascent professional-specific groups, highlight commonalities in PSO's approaches so organisers can collaborate, and/or highlight gaps in approaches that could be filled. Help grow the membership of organisations. Inspire people to start groups for neglected professions. By seeing that there are already a lot of professional groups around, we hope that others see this as a viable way to have an impact in their profession. List of Profession-Specific Organisations (Please note that this list is not fully comprehensive)Last updated: 21st December 2022 EA Architects and Planners What do we do? We seek ways in which architects, urban designers, and planners can use their unique skills to get involved in EA causes and to have a greater positive impact. We are NOT focused on finding high-impact work within architecture and planning, but rather, explore a wide range of opportunities where architectural or design thinking may lead to more effective ways of doing good. As we research ways in which this might be achieved, we are updating the Career Options for EA Architects and Planners database to help others find inspiration. Our aim is to a) create an environment that support...

On this week's episode of the Girlfriend Doctor Show, we're doing things a little differently. I attended the Women in Tech Global Summit 2022 in Paris, France. Under the High Patronage of Ms. Elizabeth Moreno, French Minister for Gender Equality, Diversity, and Equal Opportunities, the theme is ‘HERoes Shaping Tomorrow', which celebrates women across the world who are the Shakers, Makers, and Innovators of our new society and economy. The panel of speakers I was a part of consisted of high-caliber people and the talk revolved mainly around food supply and how the quality of our food has been gradually declining. Terri Cochran, a past guest here on the Girlfriend Doctor, emphasized how not only is the food quality decreasing, but the way in which we manage and waste it is slowly leading our manmade emissions here in our home, earth. Overall, the discussion was very fun but also essential because we need to become more aware of our actions. 70% of food is actually wasted in the home, and though it may only seem like a waste of money, wasting food is also a huge contributor to climate change. We need to come together and find solutions to the problems humanity is facing, and it starts with discussions like these. Tune in to find out how we can overcome these global issues! KEY TAKEAWAYS [10:30] Food storage and waste contributes to 35% of total manmade emissions [13:24] Diabetes and obesity in the country is growing exponentially [18:32] How Food Cloud is feeding the world [22:04] We waste a lot of food and water [22:54] Dr. Anna's take on ‘Food is Everything' [32:55] Becoming more conscious of food waste in the home SPEAKERS Teri Cochrane - CEO and Longevity Expert - Beyond Nutrition John D. Bolten - Associate Program Manager - NASA Applied Sciences Program Aoibheann O'Brien - Co-founder and Director of FoodCloud MEMORABLE QUOTES “With the war in Ukraine right now with Russia, there's many economic considerations; we're seeing at our gas pumps… but more importantly… the number 1 country where we get our fertilizer ash from is Ukraine.” “Food was everything to me because food was killing my son, and food has saved my son.” “We need to look at the changing trajectory of our world because it is changing in an alarming rate and food systems sit in the center.” “Food production storage and waste currently contributes to 35% of total manmade emissions that swarm at the transportation sector, and by the year 2050, will represent 70% of total emissions.” “1 out of 4 persons in the US cannot meet the eligibility requirements for military service because of obesity alone. That's a national security crisis.” “1/3 of our global food is wasted and ¼ of our global water use goes to wasted food.” “Our women in STEM can help fortify this food that becomes wasted then ends up landfills. We all have an emissions aspect to this. So I think this is one of the most brilliant solutions.” “In my three decades of practicing medicine, I have seen an increase in infertility, ADHD, PSOS, and cancers, at an earlier and earlier age.” “It's estimated that in order to sustain support for an additional 2.2 billion people, we'll need to more than double our food production, unless we embrace the solutions that we're talking about here.” “70% of food is actually wasted in the home. I know people think if I waste this, it's a waste of money but it's actually a major contribution to climate change and it's the one thing that we can take action on three times a day.”

Welcome to the Events > Forward Podcast by Meetings & Incentives Worldwide. In this episode, our host, Jeff Naue, Special Projects Marketing Lead, interviews Lisa Palmeri, Vice President and Principal Consultant of Intent Strategy Group. Intent Strategy Group (ISG) is a division of Meetings & Incentives Worldwide. Their team of consultants helps clients develop and implement their SMM strategy, manage large scale SMM and technology implementations, and find the best solutions for their enterprise event strategy needs. During this episode, we take a deep dive into Cvent Access Portals. With the pivot to virtual and hybrid events, the SMM workflow needs to support new data capture and process requirements. Also, migrating to Access Portals usually requires system downtime so organizations are taking advantage of the current situation when meeting volume is down, and the migration will cause less disruption. Lisa Palmeri is an impassioned leader with 20 years' experience establishing consulting and professional service organizations (PSOs). She is dedicated to advancing the Meetings & Event (M&E) industry. She joined M&IW in 2015. You can also follow her on LinkedIn.
