Nun wie bin ich eigentlich auf den Walter gekommen - gestossen ? Durch Mund - zu Mund Werbung und weil ich ja bei Tina Lötscher war. Die liebe Frau von Allerlei Oberwallis und ja mit Ihr und Ihrem Lebensabschnittspartner dem Julius vom Vorhangshop hatte ich ja auch schon einen tollen Hengert.   Sie wiederum erklärte mir dass auch ihr Label einheimisch gedruckt wurde und ja klar beim Walter. Bei wem? Walter kenne ich nicht. Na der Walter von der Buchbinderei Schwery in Brig und der macht allerhand. Dieser wiederum kennt ja auch den Designer der Etikette - den Sven Frachebourg von Vaid und ja so schliesst sich der Kreis.    Aber eben - der Walter der würde mir auch nur ein Buch drucken, und er druckt rechteckig, halbrund und dreieckige Bücher. Er druckt Diplomarbeiten, am liebsten dicke gut gefüllte mit viel Text gestaltete Diplomarbeiten und noch dickere Bewerbungsdossiers. Mit less is more kann er nichts anfangen? Wäre ja auch schlecht fürs Geschäft und darum freute er sich auch ja auf den DRUCK von meinem ersten BUCH. Mehr als 700 Seiten oder wie mein Freund Beat Anthamatten nun sagen wurde - more peppar - less paper und ja nu.    Übrigens das Krautfunding „Geldsammeln“ bitte bättiiii gib mär - last Calls for your Stutz -10 Days to go -  its a win weine win Situation - sie geben - ich gebe zurück und man investiert ja so bei einem Crouwdfunding nie ins Lehre, sicher können sie ihr Geld dem Fastenopfer spenden, oder eben einen Lotto Zettel damit ausfüllen - scho rächt ! Aber einen riesen Dank an alle welche mein Buch und Studio Projekt bis anhin schon unterstützt haben und welche noch dazukommen mögen.    Mit Walter diskutierte ich über Gott und den Frieden und er meint - er sei wohl ein kritischer Katholik und würde sich eher als Christ bezeichnen. Natürlich disktutierten wir auch über Verzettelung und wo sonst ist die Gefahr der Verzettelung grösser als in einem Atelier voller Papier und ? Weil der Walter druckt mit modernster Technik alles mögliche - auch Agenden, Kalendern, Wein und Menükarten und ja wo fängt man auf und wo hört man auf ? Hilft Disziplin? Banknoten kann er offiziell nicht drucken aber wer würde das in der Öffentlichkeit einfach zu geben. Ich bin überzeugt, dass das der Walter kann - aber eben.    Im RadioRottu  läuft gerade das Lied - Live is a Highway und da kommt mir gerade die Mundartversion von  Hans + Ruedi in den Sinn und ja ä mal bisch drauf und ä mal bisch drab - danach die Nachrichten - der Autobahnabschnitt Raron - Gampel wird wiederum gesperrt, ca 3 Monate und kaum ist dann mal jemand wie zb die Fahrenden auf der Walliser Autobahn - werden sie wieder nach Hause geschickt und ja das erinnert mich an die Satire mit den obdachlosen in Berlin doch nun zurück zu Walter. Walter und ja es überrascht, denn wer tag täglich so mit Papier und Büchern hat doch Abends dann wohl kaum mehr Lust auf ein gutes Buch ? Er schon und er malt aber auch gerne. Sein Buch Tipp : Die 1% Methode  - tönt spannend das Buch - das Geheimnis des Erfolgs = die 1% Methode = minimale Veränderung, maximale Wirkung - das Buch liefert das nötige Handwerkszeug, mit dem sie das Ziel erreichen. Erhältlich im ZAP in Brig.    Mit Walter diskutierte ich über die Zukunft des Papier, dem gedruckten Buch - Zeitungen um Kampf gegen die Digitalisierung und ja zwischendurch restauriert der Walter auch eine Bibel oder ein altes Kochbuch und was gibt es schöneres als ein Buch in der Hand und ein Glas Fendärboerg dazu.  Weg vom Handy, weg vom Tablet obwohl eben Umweltschutz und eben - less Paper. Recycelt Paper und wieso das gerade im Buchdruck nicht unbedingt gewünscht wird von den Kunden? Ja Umweltschutz = da werden alte Papierfetzen in kleinen Böcklein verwendet oder mit einer alten Holzpalette baute eine Kundin einen Zaun, damit der Hund nicht abhaut. UPCYCLING, toll.   Lesen gefährdet ihre Dummheit und ja eben, der welcher mit kennt - der kennt mich und der welcher eben nicht? Klar sind wir nett zu allen Kunden und wir haben ja die BESTEN, obwohl der eine oder andere nervt ja immer?  Ja und eben betreffend sozialem Engagement da engagiert er sich zum Beispiel bei Berg Buch Brig als Partner und hilft mit Rat und Tag beim Event mit - dieser Event so ca : November und ja eben betreffend den Terminen - 15.05. 2025 und das Studio Supersaxo in Naters wird offiziell eingeweiht so um 17.00 Uhr ? Aber max bis 18.15 Uhr weil danach ja noch Alphorn-Probe und da steht das grosse Fest vor der Tür doch dazu später mehr ?   Aber Walter, wie sieht es denn nun mit meinem Buch aus? Das Buch sollte ja am 25.05.20205 erscheinen, am Tag an welchem das Krautfunding endet? Und ja am gleichen Tag das Dekanatsfest in Grächen wo so diverse Chöre gemeinsam singen? Terminkollisionen? ICH ?    So ein Buchbinder welcher man heute liebevoll Print + Medien Verarbeiter nennt muss einiges können, auch so bisschen Zahlenmensch weil es muss ja offeriert und budgetiert werden, Steuern und Mwst und stellt euch mal vor so ein Buchbinder leidet an einer Papier - Allergie?   Gerade erhalte ich eine Freundschaftsanfrage von Beatrice Egli. Als nächstes wird sie mich fragen ob ich mit Ihr im Duett am nächsten Eurovsiosion Contest mitsinge? Vielleicht ja wegen der übermässigen Anhäufung von ungebrauchter Wolle macht das Lied mit dem Schwarznasen-Schwaf-Woll-Rollchragu Bikini durchaus Sinn? No Waste Please ! Oder vielleicht findet wir im Archiv von Nella Martinetti noch ein ungebrauchtes Lied?   Sorry, bin gerade abgeschweift, wir sind ja noch immer in der Buchbinderei Schwery und gerade gestern habe ich noch ein leckeres Wasabi Pesto gemacht, mega fein - und die Jungen vom Kinderdorf Leuk schenkten mir nach der Musik Session diverse Leckereien und da ein Glas eingemachte Zuchetti und Ananas in Curry und diese so über mein Rosé-Risotto und dann eben auch noch ein Löffel vom Wasabi Pesto und dazu ein sprudelnd feines Glas LA ROSée bei Cave Fin  Bec ? Auch ja und da wären wir beim Thema Lieblings Walliser Gericht und Walter : Raglett. Eben die Aussprache diverser Walliser Wörter sind in Brig und im Saas nicht immer gleich? Er liebt das Raclette mit Pfeffer - ein scharfer Purist der Walter !   Ach und ja auch über Musik wurde so diskutiert und wie kamen wir auf Eliane Amherd, das Frauenstimm Festival in Brig? Wie kamen wir auf Steiner und Madleina ? Ach ja weil ich den Termin verwechselte und ja eben Berg Buch Brig im Herbst und das Frauenstimmen Festival im Frühling und ja kann vorkommen. Terminkollision - ICH?   Wie weiter ? Hi mamas. Today on the podcast, I'm joined by Chrissy Powers, a licensed marriage and family therapist, mum, wife, writer and embodiment coach. I've been following Chrissy on social media for quite some time and I just love her beautiful, authentic, warm presence, which shines through in this conversation.  In this episode, we discuss Chrissy's background and some of her early internalised ideas of being the ‘good girl', how this showed up in her adulthood and her mothering, and her departure from this archetype over time, allowing her to redefine herself according to her own ideals in her thirties and into her forties.  We also discuss purity culture and Chrissy's experience of growing up in a small evangelical Christian church, the ideals that she was raised with, and the shame, guilt and isolation this culture can create. Happy New Year! I am single handedly extending the January blues by taking 6 weeks to edit this but i think we can all agree it is worth the wait. Raymond Antrobus is a poetry legend. It has been over a decade since we first shared a stage together and it has been a joy to see his work flourish since then, and an even bigger joy to find out that he had recently moved to Margate so we could snap him up for a very special edition of Something Borrowed Live. Steve Herter is one of the most passionate people I've ever meet. Humorous, smart, adventurous, ingenious… Herter checks all the boxes. I've been in the elk woods with him and watched him empty the Yampa river with flies only Steve could design and tie. He is world class with everything he engages with. He has led one of the most varied and successful lives of an outdoorsman I know. Aside from developing three of the top ten lodges in North America from the ground up; Elk Trout Lodge, Elk Creek Lodge and Seven Lakes Lodge, he was instrumental in positioning lodge projects in Patagonia and Argentina. He also worked with Orvis Fly Fishing schools and product development with Flies. Steve designed and helped stream improvement projects, one on the White River and Storm Mountain Ranch in Steamboat Springs, CO. He also spent a great part of his life chasing rooster fish on the beaches of Mexico, but what sets Herter apart from all others is his world class ability to design and tie incredibly small trout flies; midges. No hopper dropper, no nymphs, nothing will ever be tied on his leader he can't see floating. But it's not just dry fly fishing, it's midge fishing. Flies so small you have to tie them with microscopes.This is an art form, and Steve is a master at it. Also, he's had hard luck with his health and most recently a stroke…. in spite of it all, he has remained as vibrant as anyone I know!
