Zelia Edgar brings us back to 1973 for yet another truly bizarre retro UFO incident. October 22nd, 1973 at around 10pm, a couple driving with their baby suddenly spotted what they thought were children playing on a dark rural road. But as their headlights hit the figures, they realized these were no children. Instead, they encountered bizarre, silver-suited beings moving in strange, hopping motions across the road. Who were the “Slo-Mo Silver Saucerians”? Were they extraterrestrials, misidentified figures, or something far stranger?

In January 1959, ten experienced young skiers set out for Mount Otorten in the far north of Russia. While one of the skiers fell ill and returned, the remaining nine lost their way and ended up on another mountain slope known as Kholat Syakhl (or 'Mountain of the Dead').On the night of 1st February 1959 something or someone caused the skiers to flee their tent in such terror that they used knives to slash their way out. Search parties were sent out and their bodies were found, some with massive internal injuries but with no external marks on them. The autopsy stated the violent injuries were caused by 'an unknown compelling force'. The area was sealed off for years by the authorities and the full events of that night remained unexplained. Using original research carried out in Russia and photographs from the skier's cameras, Keith McCloskey attempts to explain what happened to the nine young people who lost their lives in the mysterious 'Dyatlov Pass Incident'. Texas DogmanAfter 25 years in Alaska, where the narrator immersed himself in the rugged wilderness—from the Arctic Pipeline to the Aleutian Islands and gold mines—developing a passion for cryptids, they spent over five years earning the trust of tribal elders. These elders shared ancient encounter stories, histories of elusive creatures, and even passed down a Woolly Rhinoceros tooth from a hunt in the late 1600s or early 1700s. Alaska's extremes brought thrilling wildlife sightings, like cooperative black bears raiding dumps and moose wandering urban streets, evoking Jack London adventures. Seeking warmer climes, the narrator relocated to a lush, open suburb in East Texas—137°F milder than Alaska's winters—only to discover cryptids thriving amid the greenery and barking dogs that suddenly fall silent at night. One afternoon, after a doctor's visit in a one-story office complex, their service Jack Russell Terrier grew agitated, pulling on the leash before freezing and trembling violently. As the narrator knelt to comfort the shaking dog, an unnatural silence descended—like a shadow blocking sound—accompanied by a foul, inexplicable odor. Remaining still, they waited it out until birds and frogs resumed chirping, and the presence lifted. In the soft mud nearby, a massive footprint appeared: longer and wider than the narrator's size 13 shoe (which barely dented the earth), ending in three deep claw marks from a heavy, narrow foot. Photos sent to Alaskan hunter friends yielded no identification. Locals whisper of similar run-ins with 10- to 12-foot-tall beasts, dubbing this a "Dogman." He was a prominent astronomer who was involved in the mystery at the very beginning as a consultant for the Air Force's investigation, which operated for most of its existence as Project Blue Book until its termination in 1969. He was born in Chicago in 1910 and worked and lived in Ohio from 1935 until he became chair of the astronomy department at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, in 1960. In 1973, he founded the Center for UFO Studies, which was based in Chicago. Then, in 1984, after spending his entire life in the Midwest, he rather suddenly moved with his family from Chicago to Scottsdale, Arizona. Divinatory practices were an important part of traditional Halloween ritual. The veil between worlds was thinned by both the season transition and the close proximity of our ancestors to the spirits of nature. Surviving winter was a superstitious and hopeful affair and divination eased the transition, just as it provided comfort for the living and dead. One was either to be prosperous or die. Most divination was focused on marriage, from apples and cabbage to kale and nuts. The forbidding of divination in various religious texts, and the emphasis placed on the one true God, is a matter of perspective considering the Druids, with Christian symbols, held this God to be found in nature and sky. Divination today is often done behind a thicker veil and for less serious reasons. In 2025 it is even easier to turn to Grok or ChatGPT, perhaps one of a number of religious applications, to fulfill the spiritual need, consult oracles, and commune with the other side. However, this is leading rapidly to false prophets, psychosis, and paranoid delusion. Interestingly, up to half of all chatbots and AI driven systems are released in the fall months, and up to a third of all cases of violence or psychosis resulting from chatbot use occurs in the same timeframe. A recent ritual EDM show at the pyramids in Egypt takes the discussion to another dimension. On a stage set by two massive pillars and wire, a laser light show produced an enormous robot that broke through the portal glass on October 10. The show was called Quantum DJ and The End of Genesys, the latter indicating perhaps the end of organic evolution and the start of synthetic change. Whereas the Druids danced east to west in alignment with the sun, and the whirling dervishes in circles to align with the planets, an EDM show themed by the end of God's creation and drug field orgy of mindless erratic dancing is sure to invoke the absolute worst from the other side. The AI apps that people believe have connected them with God have instead connected them with the black mirror and a world of death with no hope of internal salvation. Nearly a year ago, mysterious drones of unknown origin began buzzing military bases and other sensitive sites, mostly in the eastern U.S. They swooped in out of nowhere, hovered and maneuvered over airfields, didn't try to hide their presence, and could not be tracked when they abruptly departed. Entire U.S. bases were shut down, including Langley and Wright-Patterson AFB. Similar incursions were reported at joint bases in the UK, where personnel deployed advanced anti-drone tech - with no effect. Now, several European countries are experiencing similarly troubling incursions. In recent weeks, mystery drones have caused fear and confusion in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, and Belgium. Governments suspect the drones are being controlled by Russia, though there isn't a shred of evidence to prove that, and these drones cannot be tracked or brought down.
