Tanner Chidester went from struggling entrepreneur to scaling multiple seven and eight-figure businesses—but after hitting $1M/month, he realized something was missing. In this episode, we dive deep into his journey, from early hustle to high-ticket coaching success, and the hard lessons about money, fulfillment, and business scalability. Tanner reveals why most entrepreneurs stall at six figures, how to pivot when strategies stop working, and what separates business owners who plateau from those who scale past $1M/month. What You'll Learn in This Episode: ✔️ The mindset shift Tanner made after hitting $1M/month✔️ Why coaching & consulting businesses have an income ceiling✔️ The biggest hiring mistakes that prevent business growth✔️ How to scale past $100K/month (most entrepreneurs get this wrong)✔️ The future of AI in business, content, and marketing✔️ Why high-ticket is actually easier to sell than low-ticket If you're scaling your business, struggling with sales, or looking for your next big pivot, this episode is packed with insights from someone who's done it at the highest level. DM @tanner.chidester on Instagram with "Blueprint Podcast" to connect. Listen on Apple, Spotify, and YouTubeSubscribe, leave a review, and share this episode! Key Takeaways & Lessons from the Episode 1. The “Million a Month” Realization: Money Won't Fix Everything Tanner hit $1M/month, threw a huge party, and quickly realized… no one cared. After sacrificing friendships, relationships, and free time, he started questioning what actually mattered. His new goal: Building businesses that don't just make money, but also fuel personal growth and freedom. 2. Why Coaching & Consulting Won't Make You a Billionaire High-ticket coaching is great for cash flow, but bad for scale because it requires manual fulfillment. After interviewing ultra-high-net-worth individuals, Tanner found that billion-dollar businesses have: Private Equity: Buying & scaling businesses. Hedge Funds: Managing investor capital at scale. Tech & SaaS: Low-overhead, high-leverage products. If freedom & scalability matter, you need a business that delivers consistent value without constant effort. 3. The 80/20 Rule for Pivoting When Business Strategies Stop Working Many entrepreneurs panic and completely overhaul their strategies too quickly. Instead, test new strategies gradually → Keep 80% of your budget/resources in what's still working and 20% in testing new approaches. Example: If spending $10K/month on ads, keep $8K in proven methods, $2K for testing. 4. Scaling from $100K to $1M: Why Most Entrepreneurs Stall 0-100K/month: Can be brute-forced with hard work and personal effort. 100K-1M/month: Requires hiring, delegation, and team leadership. Biggest mistake: Entrepreneurs think “working harder” will grow their business. Instead, success depends on acquiring & keeping high-level talent. If your team can't execute at a high level, your business will hit a ceiling. 5. Organic vs. Paid Traffic: What's Actually Working in 2025? If you don't have money for ads: Create engaging content that starts inbound conversations. Cold outreach – Manually message potential leads. Content Strategy Tanner Recommends: Case Studies → Show testimonials & proof. Value Posts → Teach something people can use immediately. Lifestyle (optional) → Build relatability & trust. Why high-ticket is easier to sell: Fewer sales needed to hit revenue goals. Perceived value increases when pricing is positioned correctly. 6. The Truth About Instagram Shoutouts & Boosted Posts Do shoutouts still work? → Not as well as before. Best for B2C (fitness, lifestyle brands), not B2B (coaching, consulting). Better alternative? → Boosted posts with DM automations (ex: “Comment ‘Blueprint' for a free training”). Rule of thumb: If it doesn't bring a direct return, it's not worth it. 7. AI in Business & Content Creation: What's Useful Right Now? AI is great for copywriting, DM automation, and content ideation. Not replacing human storytelling anytime soon. Best use case: Automating repetitive tasks to free up time. Final Thoughts & What to Do Next Tanner Chidester has built, scaled, and pivoted multiple businesses to seven and eight figures. His biggest lesson? Money alone won't fix your problems—but the right strategy will give you both freedom and financial success. Want to grow your business? She is here to help and inspire you to seek out a positive mindset. We talk about her choice to join my coaching program, what it was like, and her biggest takeaways. This episode is an inside look into the work we do and a sneak peek of the results that everyone deserves! Why Coaching? [1:30]I was always attracted to the idea of being positive- I started reading books like The Secret and I was in such a good mindset. [2:20]During lockdown I had loads of time to work on myself, but when lockdown ended, it was the first time I was hit with anxiety. [3:30]I had a knot in my chest and stomach that wouldn't go away. [3:50]Before the lock down we were so go-go-go, and we didn't even know there was another way. In lock down, we worked on ourselves. When things started to reopen, we didn't want to go back to the way things were. [4:40]What is Coaching like? [6:00]I didn't let fear prevent my growth. [7:30]I was trying to be grateful for the all the opportunities I was given but I was exhausted. That's when overwhelm came in. That was where the work came in. [9:00]During our time, I connected with my feelings and connected with my true selves. [9:50]The biggest thing you taught me was to put myself first. [10:15]I noticed that you really started to take your power back and get clear on putting yourself first. [11:10]The only reason I ever did exercise was to lose the weight- it wasn't enjoyable. Now I do it for my mental health. I've enjoyed it, I won't look at exercise the same ever again. [12:00]When we do things from a place of fear and lack, it's not sustainable. When we do things because we love ourselves and our life, it's a different energy. [12:40]I have so much more time in the day since doing this. Before I didn't allow myself time for me. [15:40]I would be at home, waiting and resting to go back to work. That's not living. [16:00]What you don't own, owns you. When you don't own your emotions, they own you. [19:00]When you connect with your authentic self, you have more energy. [21:00]I'm really, really happy. For the first time in my life I feel so content going to work. I fell in love with it again. [23:15]Coaching is all about the small steps that you can take to become the healthiest and happiest version of yourself. [24:30]3 Steps Can Change Your Life [25:00]Number one: Give yourself more time and be more organized. [25:30]Number 2: Be grateful for the small things. [26:00]Number 3: Give away the tasks that others can do for you. [27:00]Find Your Blind Spots [27:30]Stress is created by the stories we tell ourselves. [28:00]I have started believing that I deserve a break and holiday. I am worthy of rest and deserve rest. I don't have to earn it. [29:00]Give yourself permission to live a stress free life without any of the guilt that goes with it. [30:10]Life is meant to be enjoyed, not endured. [31:00]Life is never going to be completely clear sailing, but knowing that I have the tools to deal with anything that may come up makes me free. [31:30]Coaching is the best investment you will give yourself-and definitely look no further than Claire.[32:00]Connect with Ursula@Ursula_hairstudio

Again, my own reinvention and newly re-inspired TDE brand just launching now would not be as IMPACTFUL if you didn't know the ENTIRE story. So thank you for listening, sharing, and SHOWING-UP. Let's dive-in.   Here is what you will hear on Ep. 304: - Why I didn't feel completely fulfilled in 2022 and what to do when your soul is not singing like you want and you know there is an even deeper level of significance you want to create. - Why I took a GM role for a professional indoor football team and the greatest lesson I learned from that debacle. - Another knee surgery to clean-up the mess that was created from partial knee replacement in 2020 that didn't heal properly because of not rehabbing/moving the way I needed to because of my back injury. - MINDSET through uncertainty and my mindset now after enduring through a 3-year “battle. - Top Lessons learned through a difficult time that will help you in the best of times and the worst of times. - How my faith in God carried me through the last 3-years and despite many times feeling broken, empty, lost, and even sometimes depressed, how I never felt alone. - Why my faith even further deepened in the midst of darkness. - The people and support networks who made a great difference in the last few years that allowed me to get through the mess. - Why COACHING and IMPACT is my life and why I love hearing from our listeners who are wanting to go deeper, do more soul-searching, and who are willing to battle through thick and thin to KEEP GOING! - The ONE THING that I learned from all this and that I will take to the grave someday…   Again, thank you. My heart is full of gratitude and I appreciate you listening and sharing. Next week I will do a “Q&A” episode stemming from episodes 301-304. If you're not familiar with the term, it is essentially making the workplace or the job unappealing and edging an employee out of the company in hopes that they quit so that you don't have to outright fire them or lay them off. It doesn't typically go quite so far as a hostile work environment, but the job and workplace become so miserable that the employee sees no other choice than to leave. The episode goes into greater detail on what it is and how it manifests, how some managers might be doing it unintentionally, and what to do instead. Find show notes at https://janelanderson.com/108

Welcome to the Women of Worth Podcast with Claire Fealy! In today's episode, I am joined by my first guest! Ursula is joining me to talk about her incredible story and journey. She is here to help and inspire you to seek out a positive mindset. We talk about her choice to join my coaching program, what it was like, and her biggest takeaways. This episode is an inside look into the work we do and a sneak peek of the results that you are worthy of.But, this isn't just my podcast. I would never be where I am today without you! So, settle in, grab a nice cup of tea, and welcome to another episode of OUR podcast. [31:30]Coaching is the best investment you will give yourself-and definitely look no further than Claire.[32:00]Connect with Ursula@Ursula_hairstudioJoin the 5 Day Challenge! Hey everyone! Welcome to the show. The topic we're going to dig into right now is Why Coaching is the #1 Leadership Skill Today. I have a special guest with me, who, in my opinion, is the best person on the planet right now to talk about this particular topic – Michael Bungay Stanier. Michael is the founder of Box of Crayons, a learning and development company focused on coaching. He's the author of The Coaching Habit – my personal favorite business book – and he has another one coming out on February 29th called The Advice Trap. I've already preordered my copy – make sure you preorder yours too (link at the bottom of the show notes). In this episode, we dive into: What it takes to be a good manager, 5 Reasons why people resist being more coach-like, Michael's definition of coaching, How coaching drives impact and engagement, Coaching conversations, and a whole lot more. Click that play button to listen! Don't forget to subscribe and rate us on Apple Podcasts! What is coaching? This is my definition. It's a behavior, and the behavior is this: can you stay curious a little bit longer? Can you rush to action and advice-giving a little bit more slowly? It's simple, but it's difficult. Impact, Engagement and Coaching. In essence, the two key drivers in an organization are impact, which is productivity, and meaning, which is engagement. Coaching is one of the key skills – I know it is, because research tells us – to drive both impact and engagement. What do you want? That is a great question to crack open a conversation, just to accelerate it into a “Let's get down to brass tax here”. It's an easy question to ask and hard to answer, because people often don't know what they want, but it's really powerful to hold them in that space. Because once you know what you want, it grounds you. When you're grounded – that's the basis for action and movement. Another thing I really love about that question is to ask it of yourself, particularly when you're feeling annoyed, discombobulated, knocked off balance, when things have been hard for you and you're struggling with a particular relationship. Just go, “What do I want?” Often we hesitate around difficult conversations, not because we're scared of the scary conversations; we're just not clear on what we want. Michael's advice for new leaders Be skeptical about advice, because often, they don't know what they're talking about. They're projecting all sorts of things. It's the same as feedback. Feedback often tells you more about the person giving you the feedback than it is actually useful for you at that moment. This episode connects the dots between your website, coaching packages and pricing as a reason you might not be earning as well as you'd like.Find the show notes at prosperouscoach.com/135. I'll be providing links to episodes that go into more detail on each of those topics so you can make clear, strategic shifts.I didn't start my business knowing how to be successful at coaching. Everything I've learned has come from studying my own many mistakes as well as what works and why.Let's start with websites because this is the biggest and most expensive bungle most coaches make.Did You Just Slap Up a Coaching Website? When you completed coach training, did you rush to put up a website? You might have thought, as I did, that:·      A website is the first step to getting clients. It's not.·      A website will make you legitimate. Other thresholds come first.·      Your website should be about you and coaching. Not true. After redoing my website 4 times now my site is like a spring river flowing ideal clients to me who are ready to enroll and invest. I'm grateful for the flow!I want you to have that flow!My website is not the prettiest or trendiest website. Those things can actually be distracting to buyers. Coaches like my website because they feel at home there. They feel that I'm talking specifically to them. And that's the secret. Is it obvious on your website WHO you serve? Are you speaking directly to your audience in words they'll understand? If so, you're way ahead of the game and you've been strategic. The 3 big mistakes I see on coach's websites are:·      It's not clear, in seconds, who the coach's target audience is·      The site is selling coaching as a solution·      Multiple coaching packages and prices are offered Let's take these one at a time. Why Make Your Coaching Website a Home for Your Audience?Relevance. Have you ever gone to a website and bounced off quickly? Chances are, you didn't find what you wanted there.Your website must grab attention and strike a resonant chord with your audience in mere seconds or they are out of there fast! That's called a bounce. For more about this listen at prosperouscoach.com/40.So make sure that the short pithy copy on each webpage is highly contextualized to your audience using keywords they'll recognize and about their top problems and ultimate goals. Be connective not salesly.Don't Sell Coaching On Your WebsiteWhat? You're thinking “I'm a coach, Rhonda, what else would I sell?”I'm serious. Do not have a page or copy about the wonders of coaching on your website. There are inherent challenges to selling coaching that you don't want to hassle with.·      People rarely wake up knowing they want coaching.·      Many people have a negative opinion of coaching.·      Coaching is a skillset not an outcome. For more about this critical concept, listen to Why Coaching is a Hard Sell at prosperouscoach.com/7.To read more Show Notes and learn why you should NOT Offer Multiple Coaching Packages click here.

On this episode of the Massimo show Rod sits down with a ghost writer and (his own) writing coach Wally Bock. Wally is an authority on the  issues of supervision, leadership, and management and has the various career endeavors to prove it. More recently he has spent his time helping others lean into and expound upon their own leadership qualities by helping them write about them.  Wally was born in New York City in 1946 to a Lutheran Pastor and his wife. He attended the Bronx High School of Science and graduated from there in 1963. He was a bright kid with scholarship opportunities for college as well. But one day his father told him about a relative who had gone off to a major university with their family paying the way. But this relative didn't go and study. They avoided going to classes for a year and a half, before their father found out. “I thought about that a lot. I realized that however bright I was, if I went to college right then I'd probably do pretty much the same thing.” Wally tells Rod.  Instead of potentially wasting his money and scholarships Wally decided to pursue a lifelong interest - the military. He joined the Marines and served from 1963 to 1968 and it was here that he learned a lot about courage and leadership and principles and about how your capacity is more than you ever imagined.   Why Books?   Wally's first book was called Budgeting for First Line Supervisors.  This was his first book because when he got out of the Marines he was teaching for a government program called Model Cities helping small businesses.  He started writing articles around that. An acquisition editor at a publishing company heard some of his speeches, read a couple of his articles and offered him the opportunity to do four books.  A couple of years after that, Wally moved on from the multinational to a non-profit, where he was the Business Manager at a graduate school. He got the numbers right and they  improved on every measurable performance indicator. But he messed up in other ways and got fired. “That is when I figured out the only person who would keep me hired was me.  That is when I started my own business.” Wally remembers.   He established his consulting firm in 1982 and for the next several years, he had a fairly conventional practice where he did business consulting as well as speaking, training, and writing on leadership issues.  “I was good at finding the story a business had to sell and turning that into something that helped them get business.” Wally tells Rod “ It is a dynamite skill to have, however it takes time to get the info out of the person who has the business.”  Wally had a skill of understanding the story behind the business.  It is the story that attracts the sales.   Mixing the old and the new  Wally is an excellent example of the merging of two very important skills: connection and progress. When asked how he marketed his books he simply says: Letters. “I wrote letters to people.  That and the yellow pages.  Letters are more important than ever today.  It is more important than email, twitter.  I am all for those, but I am for writing letters.” Additionally Wally was one of the first wave of people who engaged in e-commerce to sell his books.  Wally was writing for speakers, trainers and consultants for a report called Cyberpowers. A publisher came to him and asked him to write a book about “Taking on the Super Information Highway”.  That book came out in 1995 and resulted in 2 more large book contracts.  That was when he went from small to big.  The market warranted it and he was ready.  Why Coaching?  Wally was speaking across the globe and traveling all the time for business and then  911 happened.  After 911 travel was harder to travel. “I was going to come off the road and needed to figure out something else to do.” Wally says.  “Up until that time, all the books I had written were by myself but I wrote CyberPower for Business with Jeff Sonea and discovered I really liked working with somebody else.”  The idea of ghost writing came to him and it took off - that was over 20 years ago.  Wally and Rod talk about the types of ghostwriters, how the pandemic has forced people to shift in their businesses and the value of writing your story. On today's episode, I want to talk to you about change, seasons, transition, and why it is imperative we recognize our season and steward it well. We're talking about Seasons, Segues, and the Strategic Shifting of Priorities and Focus. Tips, Tools, And Resources:  Get A Coach Every great athlete has a coach. Once clarity has been achieved, the coach then assists the client in the process of strategic planning and goal setting, then provides accountability and support with the goals and objectives the client has determined to be most important.
