Chris Tobe's journey as the author of "Kentucky Fried Pensions" is the first public SEC whistleblower which attempted to use the new Dodd-Frank law to clean up the culture of cover-up and corruption in Kentucky Pensions. It explores the national links between corruption in investments via placement agents and corruption in underfunding that plague states like Illinois and Kentucky. Kentucky Fried Pensions explores the Kentucky Employee Retirement System (KERS) for State Workers as the worst funded state plan in the country (worse than any single IL plan) and how others can learn from its current death spiral. The book looks into the lack of transparency as evidenced by no disclosure of holdings in SAC Capital buried in a Blackstone fund for nearly a year after the scandal broke. It connects a placement agent network to New Mexico, California (CALPERS) Illinois, New York, Connecticut and Rhode Island. The book has received glowing reviews in Forbes and Public Sector Inc. and has made the non-fiction bestseller list in Kentucky This new and expanded 2nd Edition provides updated coverage of Kentucky's ongoing pension funding crises and provides comparison with those of Detroit and Rhode Island. Be sure to watch the PBS Special "The Pension Gamble" which aired in October 2018, where Tobe and other experts reveal the massive eventual meltdown in public pensions in places like Kentucky, Illinois, New Jersey, Conneticut and more. For over two decades P. Christopher Music, founder of Econologics Financial Advisors, has developed the subject of Econologics, as a new standard of financial planning technology using a more logical and scientific, results-based approach to solving the financial challenges of consumers. Drawn from an in-depth study of the basic fundamentals of financial prosperity from the greatest minds in history, the evolution of Econologics philosophy comes from 21 most common and repeated laws culminated from over 5000 years of financial documentation. Econologics could be considered the modern science of financial planning. This coined word is necessary to avoid confusion with what consumers believe is “financial planning,” since that concept has not been standardly defined or practiced in the financial advisory profession today. Briefly described, Econologics is an innovative financial planning and wealth preservation system designed to produce consistent results from household to household through the Econologics Road Map® Financial Plan: Results-Based Financial Planning® for Professionals and the Econologics Practice Max Value Plan: Results-Based Transition Planning® for Professionals and the Annual Road Map Renovation®: ARMoR program.https://econologicsfinancialadvisors.com/

It became evident that the appetites of shareholders for immediate profits might pressure financial company executives to increase revenues in any manner possible- even if this meant taking unethical shortcuts or making poor stewardship decisions by prioritizing reward over risk. That these breaches in trust were usually at the expense of the firm's own clients was especially frustrating. Mark decided the timing was right for a superior model of investing to be made available locally and trusted that the public would agree - we are very pleased to say he was correct. If retained as Investment Advisor Representatives, we serve in a fiduciary capacity, a higher legal standard which requires us to place our client's interest above our own, and avoid any and all conflicts of interest, something most well-known investment firms and their investment salespeople are either unwilling or unable to do. This is a very critical difference for you and your family, and one which you should demand when retaining the services of a trusted family advisor. Often working in conjunction with other professional advisers such as CPAs and Attorneys, we work on a referral basis providing comprehensive planning services including wealth advisory, financial and estate planning, as well as business succession planning, charitable gifting and wealth transfer services to families, individuals and businesses. In tems of safekeeping, all client assets in managed accounts are held in custody at Pershing, a subsidiary of The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation, the nation's oldest continuously operating bank & the world's leading provider of securities services with over $22.3 trillion in assets under custody. My professional path has been very unique. I was a very early adopter and pioneer in what today is known as income planning. Income planning is simply the mathematical sequencing of accounts to create a predictable income expected to be significantly greater than the current prevailing interest rates available. With the added benefit of providing income guaranteed for life. I evolved that model and today consider myself to be on the forefront and the leading expert in tax and actuarial arbitrage. Today, what I can do is help people and business owners profit from the difference between the way their money is treated for tax purposes. Actuarially, I help them realize profits by reversing the traditional use of certain insurance contracts creating high guaranteed rates of return for my clients resulting in a much greater retirement income. With a unique practice model and a level of notoriety in the industry my firm was acquired by a publically traded company National Financial Partners (NYSE Symbol: NFP) for stock and cash valued at over $1,000,000 when I was 29 years old. In 2008, when the market tanked I purchased my firm back from NFP and remain independent to this day. I've also been hired to train financial advisors by some of the largest insurance distribution companies in the country. These firms produce three to five billion dollars of annuity and equivalent life insurance sales per year. I've authored three financial planning books: To find out more about Matt Zagula and his unique approach to creating a Smart Retirement, please visit www.zagulamanagement.com

Marquee private equity firms such as Blackstone Group, Carlyle Group, and Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, have grown bigger and more powerful than ever. They have also become the nation's largest employers through the businesses they own. Journalist Josh Kosman, who is a business writer at The New York Post explores private equity's explosive growth and shows how its barons wring profits at the expense of the long-term health of their companies. He argues that excessive debt and mismanagement will likely trigger another economic meltdown by 2018, wiping out more than one million jobs. He also explores the links between the private equity elite and Washington power players, who have helped them escape government scrutiny. The result is a timely book with an important warning for us all. Ralph Nader says this about Josh Kosman's book, The Buyout of America. “Just how do those giant private-equity boys get away with taking over working companies, strip-mining their equity, squeezing out many workers, often ending in bankruptcy, yet still jump ship with big profits, pay very few taxes, and stay out of jail? The answers are in Josh Kosman's The Buyout of America. He believes there is still time to wake up Washington, but only if enough readers themselves heed this properly alarming wake-up call for all Americans.” To contact Josh Kosman, please visit http://www.joshkosman.com

Today, RAWZ Natural Pet Food is headquartered in York, Maine. The family journey in pet food began with Jim Scott Sr. and his purchase of Old Mother Hubbard® (part of the WellPet brand family) in 1961. Now, with our son Jim III, we have founded RAWZ® Natural Pet Food. Our first goal is to offer your pet nutritionally exceptional recipes that provide the highest meat content possible, utilizing natural alternatives to highly-processed ingredients. Our second goal is to give back. Our sons both acquired life-altering injuries. As they were recovering, we experienced the spiritual impact a pet can have on its family. Living through that difficult time, we received tremendous comfort and support from Boomer, our family's yellow lab. In recognition of the crucial role Boomer played as we transitioned into a new chapter of our lives together, we pledged as a family to donate 100% of the profits (after taxes and reserves) from RAWZ® to three main causes: providing service dogs, spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury. I am fascinated by creating and building things. I'm a musician, and have been my entire life, so producing content is second nature. But a problem exists the moment something new is conceived: How do we get it to the people who would enjoy experiencing it? For me, there is no difference between creating art and creating a product. The inspiration that leads to each comes from the same source; innate human ingenuity. And I believe art and products have the same goal. Whether a song, a painting, a sculpture, software, or a widget, all are more than just "things", they are conversations between the people that created them, and the people that experience them. If the conversation doesn't happen, the idea fails. Those that create are inspired by what's missing, and those that experience want something valuable. The question is, how do we connect creators with the people who will most value their creations? That, my friends, is why companies are built. From bands to bakeries, we group together to build the systems that deliver our products, and I have experience in every part of it, from conception to operations and marketing. I have run large organizations, and built my own. I'm currently managing marketing projects that range from producing online educational curricula, to marketing videos, and B2B lead generation. I also provide voiceover services for a number of clients, because apparently I can rock a mic. But most of all, each creation is uniquely valuable, and deserves a unique approach to connecting it to the world. I'm good at finding it.
