S&P Futures are headed for a weaker opening this morning as markets in Europe slide. MSC Industrials issued a profit warning overnight, which is an indication of the state of growth in the economy. ADBE reported positive earnings overnight. ARM is being added to the NASD-100 index. Economic calendar is rather light this morning. In Europe, markets are lower as political concerns in France have indices non edge. Putin is said to have outlined conditions for peace talks with Ukraine which comes after G7 support yesterday. Oil prices have reversed course and are now trading higher.

S&P Futures are higher this morning and the sentiment remains positive. Fed Bank Presidents Bostic and Goolsbee echoed Friday's comments from New York Fed Williams over the weekend that no rate cuts are on the near term horizon. UBER, JBIL & BLDR are being added to the S&P 500 today. CDW, CCEP, DASH, MDB ROP & SPLK are being added to the NASD 100 today. Bank of Japan likely to forecast the end of negative interest rates at the conclusion of its monetary policy meeting the evening. In Europe stocks are mixed and oil price just reversed course and are now higher on the day.

S&P Futures are trading higher this morning as tech stocks are displaying positive gains. News week we have the FOMC announcement and earnings announcement for the big tech stocks plus the NASD100 rebalancing. The NASD rebalancing take effect today after the close. Another important item happening next week is China's Politburo meeting where new stimulus measures are expected to be announced. In Europe, the major indexes are mostly higher and oil prices are positive by about 1%.

S&P Futures are trading slightly lower this morning. Markets are showing concern on the weaker than expected GDP data out of China overnight. TSLA is higher after it completes its first cyber-truck at its Austin, TX plant. Earnings will be a key focus for the week ahead and next week we have the NASD 100 rebalancing. European indexes are lower and oil prices are down more than 1.5%

S&P Futures are flat to higher and have been fluctuating between gains and losses this morning. The market has been benefitting from positive earnings announcements combined with lower oil prices and minimal economic reports being released. This morning we are seeing gains in NASD & oil futures.  The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note edged up to 4.065% from 3.996% the day before.

In many countries, in order to obtain damages for breach of contract or to obtain specific performance or other equitable relief, the aggrieved injured party may file a civil (non-criminal) lawsuit in court. In England and Wales, a contract may be enforced by use of a claim, or in urgent cases by applying for an interim injunction to prevent a breach. Likewise, in the United States, an aggrieved party may apply for injunctive relief to prevent a threatened breach of contract, where such breach would result in irreparable harm that could not be adequately remedied by money damages. Arbitration. If the contract contains a valid arbitration clause then, prior to filing a lawsuit, the aggrieved party must submit an arbitration claim in accordance with the procedures set forth in the clause. Many contracts provide that all disputes arising thereunder will be resolved by arbitration, rather than litigated in courts. Arbitration judgments may generally be enforced in the same manner as ordinary court judgments and are recognized and enforceable internationally under the New York Convention, which has 156 parties. However, in New York Convention states, arbitral decisions are generally immune unless there is a showing that the arbitrator's decision was irrational or tainted by fraud. Some arbitration clauses are not enforceable, and in other cases arbitration may not be sufficient to resolve a legal dispute. For example, disputes regarding validity of registered IP rights may need to be resolved by a public body within the national registration system. For matters of significant public interest that go beyond the narrow interests of the parties to the agreement, such as claims that a party violated a contract by engaging in illegal anti-competitive conduct or committed civil rights violations, a court might find that the parties may litigate some or all of their claims even before completing a contractually agreed arbitration process. United States. In the United States, thirty-five states (notably not including New York) and the District of Columbia have adopted the Uniform Arbitration Act to facilitate the enforcement of arbitrated judgments. Customer claims against securities brokers and dealers are almost always resolved pursuant to contractual arbitration clauses because securities dealers are required under the terms of their membership in self-regulatory organizations such as the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (formerly the NASD) or NYSE to arbitrate disputes with their customers. The firms then began including arbitration agreements in their customer agreements, requiring their customers to arbitrate disputes. Choice of law. When a contract dispute arises between parties that are in different jurisdictions, law that is applicable to a contract is dependent on the conflict of laws analysis by the court where the breach of contract action is filed. In the absence of a choice of law clause, the court will normally apply either the law of the forum or the law of the jurisdiction that has the strongest connection to the subject matter of the contract. A choice of law clause allows the parties to agree in advance that their contract will be interpreted under the laws of a specific jurisdiction. Within the United States, choice of law clauses is generally enforceable, although exceptions based upon public policy may at times apply. The Nasdaq is a global electronic marketplace for buying and selling securities. Nasdaq was created by the National Association of Securities Dealers to enable investors trade securities on a computerized, speedy and transparent system. It commenced operations on February 8, 1971. The term, “Nasdaq” is also used to refer to the Nasdaq Composite, which is an index of more than 3,000 stocks listed on the Nasdaq exchange. The stocks include biotech giants such as Apple, Google, Microsoft, Oracle, Amazon, and Intel.Nasdaq officially separated from the NASD and began to operate as a national securities exchange in 2006. In 2007, it combined with the Scandinavian exchange group OMX to become the Nasdaq OMX group, which is the largest exchange company globally, powering 1 in 10 of the world's securities transactions.The Nasdaq OMX has its headquarters in New York, where it operates 25 markets which include primarily equities, as well as options, such as fixed income, derivatives and commodities. Sigríður segir að SHJ standi fyrir seiglu hugrekki og jafnvægi, hún vinnur við að fara í fyrirtæki og stofnanir með námskeið fræðslu og stefnumótunarvinnu. Óskar er leikstjóri nýrrar þáttaraðar sem verður sýnd á ruv og heitir Hvað höfum við gert en þar er fjalla um loftslagsmál á mannamáli. Hann ræddi umhverfismálin út frá sínu sjónarhorni og taldi að við getum ýmislegt gert til að bæta úr meðal annars með því að minnka neysluna. Hún er í dag ristjóri Smartlands en hún segist verða áhugsöm um fólk og telur sig heppna að geta starfað við áhugamálið.

Mr. Mervyn L. Hecht was educated at UCLA, University of Paris (Sorbonne) and Harvard Law School. In 1963, while still in law school, he authored an important article in Taxes Magazine on real estate taxation, and in 1964 opened a law practice in Pacific Palisades California.
