This week I want to talk about lists. Why I don't have to do lists, cleaning lists, work lists, etc. I just all the sudden realized I didn't have them and had to figure out, where did they go? When did I get rid of them? How long have I been living without lists? Where was my security blanket? It just seems like the more productive you are, don't you need more lists? Shouldn't your lists have lists?  So my new to-do list is my Sunday Basket®. Many of the things that our brain reminds us to do or that end up in our Sunday Basket® don't need to be done now, or in the near future, or in some cases, ever. But our brain wants to let us know about it as a possibility… of a potential way of spending our time if we'd like to sometime in the future, maybe. What I've moved into after so many years of checklists is establishing better routines, better cadences of natural structures inside my house, inside my day, inside my work. Looking at my morning, afternoon and evening routines. There are six routines that I have Monday through Friday, and then my household management and household cleaning day. There are no organizing emergencies.  Having good, strong routines for the essentials and then wide open spaces for whatever you WANT to do. Let's play more! Are your lists really serving you anymore? Are they helping you? Are they reducing your stress and anxiety or making it worse? Saturday we arrived at the Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck around 11a. We shopped until 2p meet-up. It was sS lovely seeing/meeting so many of you! We chatted for awhile- longer than Riley would have liked, I'm sure! See the video for candid reactions!  Then we shopped until they closed. Saturday night we had dinner at a lovely little place in Hudson - the Grazin' Diner. Liz found Mom's favorite blow up seat cushion when she dropped her fidget spinner under the seat and had to retrieve it! We watched a Curious George Halloween Special that Gabriella was dying to show me, had a snack and read books in their tent before I had to go. Dan & I attended a Clue (movie based on the board game) Party as Miss Scarlet & Mr. Green. After striking out at the thrift stores, I bought a dress on Amazon that was more perfect than I realized. Thanks to Mom, I had the perfect costume jewelry. Dan brought all sorts of props from home for the "weapons." The interior blitz may be every new DC's original go-to call. But, they are very likely misusing them. As we continue our dive into the fundamentals of the game, blitzing has to make the cut. Although new coaches will likely send blitzes at random and ad nauseam, or search for the most complex blitz schemes known to man, the very simple Single Edge Blitz can be the key to success in gameplanned situations. On this episode Joe and Daniel discuss the Single Edge Blitz's uses, why you need to have them in your scheme, and exactly how to gameplan them to see positive results.  

Live and die by the sword! Okay, maybe not the sword in this day and age, but Defensive Coordinators have replaced the sword with blitzes, and living and dying by the blitz is very true of some coaching philosophies. The man blitz, or blitzing with any man coverage behind you, is a fairly safe and targeted blitz call to live and die by.
