Christmas is nearly here and team D2DLP is keeping things extra festive with a deep dive into the listener mailbag.  It turns out that people are in fact listening, and they have questions. Lots of questions. These include, but are not limited to:  Where is the best fireworks viewing spot? What is a fun place at DLP for having a cocktail? What the heck is a jamboree? Why is that restaurant over there on fire?   Marq, Beth and Vanessa answer these « burning » questions to the best of their collective abilities and also launch into an in-depth discussion of the new Brasserie Rosalie dining location at Disney Village. This restaurant stirred up contoversy among the team.  Is a motorised chandelier really enough to qualify a place as "family-friendly"?  Have a listen and decide for yourselves.   Maybe the team can't take you walking in a winter wonderland, but they CAN make you feel like you're at Disneyland Paris, thanks to a detailed trip report provided by one of their top listeners. Jen sent a full accounting of her November trip and shares her list of pros and cons and even a top tip for getting though a long, cold, wet day at DLP. In this episode, Beth also says "Isengard" when she meant to say "Asgard". Welcome to this Disneyland Paris trip report My wife and I had an incredible opportunity to spend time in London during the Queen's Jubilee, in far away places in England, and in Paris as well. But we also spent several days in Disneyland Paris and I can't wait to share! There were many fantastic moments along the way as well as some wonderful surprises at both the Disneyland Parc and the Walt Disney Studios Paris Parc. Between the two is the dining and shopping experience of Disney Village. I talk about them as well as many of the logistics of our stay, to include two Disneyland Paris Resort hotels, the Santa Fe and the Sequoia. I also get into the weeds of our stay to include trains and planes, getting to and from within the resort, and even handling laundry. It was a fantastic trip and for those of you who have ever wondered about visiting, this podcast for you. I'll even explain how this park has now become one of my favorite parks around the world. If you're planning to travel to one of the Disney Parks & Resorts around the world, here's what you'll need to know and expect if you want to visit during the Covid-19 pandemic.The basicsAfter being closed for over a year, Disneyland Resort in California reopened on April 30 with limited capacity at Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park. Only California residents may visit the parks until June 15.Those wanting to visit need to purchase tickets in advance via a new reservation system.Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa reopened on April 29. Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel is set to reopen June 15, while the Disneyland Hotel will reopen on July 2 with reduced capacity."Avengers Campus," a new land based on the Marvel franchise, opens at Disney's California Adventure on June 4.In Florida, most of Disney World's parks are open. The Blizzard Beach water park reopened on March 7. No reopening date has been set for Typhoon Lagoon, however.Disney World also requires visitors to make reservations in advance.Hong Kong Disneyland reopened in February -- the third reopening for the park since the start of the pandemic. Shanghai Disneyland Park is operating normally with enhanced health and safety measures in place, however guests need to reserve their tickets online before visiting.Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea are open. Today well be talking the top 10 attractions you cant miss at the parks and new details surrounding Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel. But first a quick update for everyone whose planning on taking a car to the parks. Free re-entry is now no longer possible. This means that if you pay to park and then leave the lot for any reason, you will be required to pay the full fee again to re-enter. According to the official Guest Parking Regulations, “Any exit is final”. As of January 2019, parking fees for guests of the resort parks and Disney Village are €30 for cars, €45 for camper-vans and €25 for motorcycles. Resort guests can park for free with their hotel Easy Pass, and Magic Flex, Magic Plus and Infinity Annual Pass holders may park for free. Re-Opening in the summer 2020 as Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel is going to combine the dynamic art world of Marvel Super Heroes with the Big Apple atmosphere. The hotel reimagining will create an environment evoking a luxury and contemporary Manhattan establishment. Let’s be real a lot has changed in the real New York since the opening of the original Hotel in 1992, it’s great that its getting a deserved Facelift. The interior design will be sleek and cosmopolitan, inspired by the style of Tony Stark and the Avengers Headquarters. Comer dentro de Disneyland tiene el mismo nivel de comida pero a precios inflados, y resulta que en el paseo Disney Village que está en la salida de los dos parques, tenemos escondido y sin ningún tipo de publicidad ni señalización, un Mcdonalds. ¡Hamburguesas baratas! ¡Agua a menos de 2 euros! (dentro te cobran 4 euros) ¡Café y helados! (a precios razonables) No nos sentimos especialmente orgullosos de esta recomendación pero os aseguramos que es un oasis en el desierto ese establecimiento escondido en el parque de Disney. PD: Si decidís comer el menú de dentro del parque las mejores patatas son en el Hakuna Matata. Más recomendaciones Estar todo el día en Disneyland, es cansado, mucho, si aprecias tu espalda (tu dinero ya sabemos que no, porque estás en Disneyland), cogerás un carro para tus peques, incluso dos para evitar peleas, los carritos valen 20 euros el día y tienen un nombre que los personaliza. Puedes dejarlos en cualquier lado, ya que cada atracción tiene un aparca carros, y nadie te lo quitará, aunque recomendamos dejar el carro solo, sin objetos. Los carros suelen alquilarse en las primeras tiendas de los dos parques. Fast Pass, existen atracciones dónde puedes sacarte un ticket para no hacer colas. Hay unas máquinas que al pasar el código de tu entrada o pase anual, te imprimen unos tickets dónde te dan una hora para que vuelvas sin hacer colas de 45 hasta 2 horas, y en menos de 15 minutos estás dentro. fastpass Cola para singles, los solteros o personas que se apartan de la familia momentáneamente tienen en algunas atracciones un permiso especial y suelen ir super rápido entrando en las atracciones. Busca el cartel señalizador y aprovéchate de la cola single. Recomendamos consultar climatología, en Francia 1 día hay sol y 3 lluvia, así que llevar de casa el paraguas y el chubasquero. Porque dentro te lo venden, pero claro... a precio Disneyland. Compra vestidos de princesas antes de viajar, porque ¿no querrás pagar 70 u 80 euros por un disfraz de Frozen, o sí? You can do Walt Disney World on the cheap We were all young, broke, and nerdy at one time and did Walt Disney World on the cheap I use to live about an hour and a half from Walt Disney World in Sarasota Florida when I was in high school and sometimes I would drive to Walt Disney World in my car with my friends.  I spent many nights sleeping in my car behind the Arby’s on I-Drive in Orlando.  When I did have money we would get a group of friends together and all go in on a hotel room and enjoy the Disney Village which is now Disney Springs. You don’t have to sleep in your car to do Disney on the cheap now that Walt Disney World has Value Resorts.  You can stay on Disney property in a value resort room for $125 – $150 a night and when you split that with friends it becomes very do-able.  It’s also much safer than sleeping in your car like I did.  The advantage of the Walt Disney World Value resort is that it also includes all your transportation.  So you are not paying to park at the resort or at the Disney parks.  Also if you fly into Orlando FL., you get Disney’s Magical Express to and from the Orlando airport for FREE.  I like Free! C’est dans un spacieux et lumineux espace de 1300m² sur deux étages, à deux pas des Champs-Elysées, que l’enseigne allemande "fast-casual", d’inspiration italienne, a choisi pour installer son restaurant drapeau. "Pour une enseigne comme la nôtre, c'est important, surtout à proximité des Champs-Élysées. Très, très important d'avoir ce type d'établissement. C'est une vitrine pour la France, ça permet de nous faire connaître par un maximum de monde, sur toutes origines confondues, toutes nationalités confondues. Belle avenue, on est à 30 mètres des Champs-Élysées. Donc oui, une belle visibilité. Et puis on a la place, on est quand même sur plus de 1300m², pratiquement 500 places assises, donc oui, c'est un restaurant à remplir," m’explique Mathieu Vallado, directeur de cette nouvelle adresse signature, ainsi qu’à Gladys Diandoki, notre invité Foodie de l’émission. "On est dépaysé. Je ne m'attendais pas à ça, là. C'était un peu la surprise de venir découvrir le cadre. C'est vraiment très joli. Le fait d'avoir pas mal de verdure et des arbres centenaires, c'est un peu dépaysant," précise la consultante en communication. Il s’agit de la première adresse située en centre-ville, après un début en France en 2010 à La Défense, dernièrement à Créteil fin 2015. Vapiano s’y sent tellement bien qu’elle prévoit un grand projet d’ouverture de 4 à 5 restaurants par an. Les suivantes suivront déjà début juin 2016 à Cour Saint-Emilion, puis Disney Village fin juillet 2016. Vapiano, c’est 170 restaurants dans le monde dont 70 sur ses terres d’origine.

As well as the usual news of escaped Buffalo (!), new Disney Paris website, Halloween in Disney Village and Tarzan, Steve and Mark are joined by Allison and Mel who have just come back from Disneyland Paris. They give us a first-hand report on all the new Halloween decorations and Disney’s Halloween Celebration cavalcade.
