Jack is joined by Billie T to react to Tottenham's last-gasp draw with Burnley. We discuss how Cristian Romero turned goalscorer, a consistent theme this season, to snatch a point from the jaws of a terrible defeat. But the bigger question remains: how is Thomas Frank still in charge? We react to the particularly uncomfortable video of his interaction with fans after the final whistle, and discuss whether the board are ignoring the reality of a fanbase that is incredibly unhappy. We delve into the "data vs context" debate, apparently the underlying numbers suggest a slight upturn, but does that matter when the team looks so uninspired and lacking direction? Conversation moves to the ongoing experiment with Djed Spence in an attacking role, and the rumours linking Andy Robertson to the club. Have we become a donkey sanctuary for aging stars? We also weigh up the reports suggesting Guglielmo Vicario could be sold to Inter Milan. Finally, Billie fills us in on the latest Change For Tottenham initiative ahead of further planned action at the Man City game. Theme is Ghost Cat by Gillen Learn more about your ad choices. Griffin Warner talks betting for this weekend. Griffin Warner delivered a wide ranging betting breakdown for the Friday January 23 slate, touching the NFL European soccer and college basketball while explaining how market movement and situational factors shaped his approach. In the NFL focus centered on a playoff matchup with New England favored by four and a half and a total of forty two and a half amid concerns about travel weather and quarterback volatility. Warner noted limited line movement but said his interest continued to grow on Denver, citing the difficulty of New England going on the road as a sizable favorite and the belief that the market may be overstating the drop off at quarterback. He outlined interest in Denver for the game and first half along with multiple under looks, emphasizing the value of the first half under at twenty and a half. The night game featured the Rams as short road underdogs in Seattle with the total dipping into the mid forty six range. Warner pointed to recent head to head results, injuries and special teams swings, arguing the teams are closely matched and that buying the Rams up to a field goal held value if the market allowed. The soccer card opened in Spain with Levante hosting Elche, where Warner leaned toward the road underdog and the under in a matchup between promoted sides. In Italy he highlighted Inter hosting Pisa, expecting the visitors to slow the match and identifying under three goals as the most appealing angle if the number rose. In France he discussed PSG on the road as a heavy favorite, preferring to wait for a larger plus price on the host rather than laying goals away from home. Germany's marquee rivalry between St Pauli and Hamburg drew interest primarily on a low scoring script, with Warner favoring the under given St Pauli's scoring issues. On the college basketball slate he touched on rescheduled games and several notable lines, including St Louis laying a significant number at St Bonaventure, Indiana favored at Rutgers, a rare large underdog role for Marquette at Butler, Michigan laying a big number to Ohio State, and Utah State at Colorado State where home court and roster absences factored into the handicap. Warner closed by reiterating his primary wager for the episode as Denver plus four and a half and shared a promotional discount for bettors looking to follow along. Learn more about your ad choices. In this episode I'm joined by Andrew Allen to look back at the 3-1 win over Inter Milan on Tuesday night. In an enjoyable game, Gabriel Jesus shone with two goals and an excellent performance overall. We assess that and whether or not he's played his way into the starting line-up for Man Utd on Sunday. We also chat about the way Mikel Arteta successfully rotated his side, an impressive display from Bukayo Saka on the right hand side, the goals we scored, including a confidence booster for Viktor Gyokeres, and Arsenal's progression through European competition this season. There's also a bit about Ethan Nwaneri's potential loan move to Marseille, and lots more.Get extra bonus content and help support Arseblog by becoming an Arseblog Member on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/arseblog Hosted on Acast. This podcast would normally be for members, but I can't upload it to Apple Members because the Apple servers are down and have been for a long while... so I'm having to release it to everyone so the Apple Members have something to listen to this evening. We'll do a make-up members podcast for everyone very soon. It was a night of religious experiences at the San Siro as Arsenal delivered a “delicious” 3-0 victory over Inter Milan to secure a top-two finish in the Champions League group stage. Johnny, Jacob, and Matt are here to bask in the glow of a performance that proved the Gunners are truly the “best team in Europe” right now. In this episode we discuss: Jesus Reborn: Gabby Jesus gets the nod for a big European night and delivers a “fox in the box” masterclass. Is this the blueprint for the striker position while we wait for Havertz? The Big Vic Debate: Viktor Gyökeres silences the doubters (briefly) with a stunning late goal. We analyze whether his future lies as a “chaos agent” off the bench rather than a starter against low blocks. Magnificent Mosquera: A massive shoutout for 21-year-old Christian Mosquera, who stepped into the backline with “tank energy” and looked like a 10/10 signing. Saka's Playground: Bukayo Saka turns up for the Champions League anthem yet again, leaving Federico Dimarco with “twisted blood” in a dominant display. The Eze Conundrum: While the attack flowed, Eberechi Eze still drifted in and out. We discuss how to unlock his undeniable talent before the season's crunch time. Hottest of Takes: From “mental barriers” being broken to bold predictions of a historic treble, the boys are turning up the heat. Plus, we look ahead to a massive clash against Manchester United at the Emirates. Grab a refreshing beverage, sit back, and enjoy the ride—this runaway train isn't stopping anytime soon. This episode features SFC Jacob Allen, an elite medic from the 75th Ranger Regiment currently transitioning into the Inter-service Physician Assistant Program (IPAP). With a background that includes six combat deployments, Allen offers a rare firsthand account of what it means to deliver medical care at the "tip of the spear." He describes the unique pressures of being the primary medical provider for a platoon of Rangers, where the responsibility is immense, and the environment is often austere. A major theme of the conversation is the 75th Ranger Regiment's culture of excellence, built on mastering basic medical skills and a relentless commitment to training both medics and non-medical infantrymen. SFC Allen shares his expert insights on the evolution of military medical training and strongly advocates for realistic simulation. He explains why human roleplayers and "the feel of skin" are irreplaceable when preparing for high-stakes procedures like cricothyrotomies. Beyond the clinical technicalities, Allen delves into the leadership challenges he faced while managing medical readiness for multiple companies, emphasizing that the most difficult part of the job is often managing personalities and expectations. His transition from a senior non-commissioned officer to an officer candidate in IPAP is fueled by a lifelong passion for medicine and a desire to build longitudinal relationships with patients, a hallmark of the Battalion PA role. The episode also serves as a practical guide for enlisted service members interested in IPAP. Allen breaks down the application process, from prerequisites and SAT scores to the importance of strong letters of recommendation. He concludes with profound leadership advice for junior officers, urging them to humble themselves and lean on the vast experience of their senior NCOs. SFC Jacob Allen's story is a testament to the "for the boys" philosophy—a commitment to putting the welfare and development of soldiers above all else. This conversation is essential listening for anyone interested in special operations, advanced medical education, or the intersection of clinical excellence and military leadership. Chapters (00:00-01:28) Introduction to SFC Jacob Allen (01:28-09:16) Life as a Medic in the 75th Ranger Regiment (09:16-17:15) Realistic Training and Medical Simulation (17:15-26:47) Leadership Challenges and the Move to IPAP (26:47-38:45) Navigating the IPAP Application and Curriculum (38:45-51:00) Future Aspirations and Advice for Leaders Chapter Summaries (00:00-01:28) Introduction to SFC Jacob Allen: Dr. Soderdahl introduces SFC Jacob Allen, a student in the Inter-service Physician Assistant Program with an extensive background in the 75th Ranger Regiment. SFC Allen shares his unique path of enlisting with a college degree and his motivation to join the "family business" of military service. (01:28-09:16) Life as a Medic in the 75th Ranger Regiment: SFC Allen describes the immense responsibility of being a SOF medic, where one often operates on a "medical island" as the primary provider for a platoon. He emphasizes the Regiment's culture of training non-medics to high standards and notes that the unit's core is the professional development of young soldiers. (09:16-17:15) Realistic Training and Medical Simulation: This section explores SFC Allen's philosophy on medical training, which prioritizes extreme realism and the use of human role-players over high-tech mannequins. He discusses innovative "cheats" for simulation, such as using earbuds to communicate with role-players to better simulate patient feedback and clinical symptoms. (17:15-26:47) Leadership Challenges and the Move to IPAP: SFC Allen reflects on the difficulties of managing personalities across multiple companies and the realization that senior NCO roles eventually move away from direct clinical care. He explains his decision to join IPAP to stay close to medicine and his desire to emulate the influential Battalion PAs he served under. (26:47-38:45) Navigating the IPAP Application and Curriculum: SFC Allen provides a detailed breakdown of the IPAP selection process, including academic prerequisites, the PA-CAT, and the weight of NCOERs in the holistic review. He also describes the transition from the program's intensive didactic phase to his current emergency department clinical rotations. (38:45-51:00) Future Aspirations and Advice for Leaders: In the final chapter, SFC Allen discusses the expectation for PAs to return to conventional units before reassessing for SOF roles to learn the administrative side of the job. He offers final words of wisdom for junior officers, encouraging them to prioritize their troops' welfare and to value the mentorship of senior NCOs. Take Home Messages Master the Fundamentals First: Excellence in high-stakes environments is built upon the mastery of basic medical tasks and trauma care. Training should never "out-kick its coverage," as the ability to perform the basics perfectly under pressure is what saves lives on the battlefield. Prioritize Realistic Simulation: There is no substitute for human roleplayers and the tactile feedback of real skin and anatomy when training for medical procedures. Effective training should be as close to reality as possible, including the emotional intensity and physical complications of treating a real person. Leadership is About Managing People: Whether in a clinical setting or a combat unit, the greatest challenge of leadership is managing diverse personalities and expectations. Success requires a leader to adapt their communication style to the individual needs of their subordinates and commanders. NCO Experience is Invaluable to Officers: Junior officers must recognize that senior NCOs possess a level of operational experience that cannot be replicated in a classroom. Developing a humble, learner's mindset and leaning on NCO mentorship is essential for any officer to lead an effective medical team. Put the Soldiers First: True leadership is defined by the philosophy of being "for the boys," meaning the mission and the welfare of the troops always take priority over personal career advancement. A leader's legacy is found in the professional development and care they provide to the young soldiers under their charge. Seven straight. Top two secured. And revenge delivered in Milan.Arsenal head to the San Siro knowing the stakes — one more Champions League League Phase win to lock a top-two finish — and produce a performance that blends control, chaos, and cutting edge. The panel break down a fast, open contest against Inter Milan that never quite settled, with both midfields exposed early and Arsenal choosing to play on the front foot from the opening minutes. There's deep discussion around the starting XI and rotation calls, including surprise inclusions, positional responsibilities, and how Arsenal's midfield shape contributed to a game that felt more end-to-end than usual. The hosts analyse how Arsenal handled long balls, physical duels, and isolation at the back — and why certain defensive performances stood out despite being repeatedly put under pressure.Set-pieces once again prove decisive, prompting a wider conversation about Arsenal's evolving attacking identity in Europe, while individual performances across the front line raise important questions about form, confidence, and decision-making in key moments. There's a detailed debate on finishing, shot selection, and what Arsenal need from their attacking leaders as the season enters its decisive phase. The episode also looks ahead to what securing a top-two Champions League finish actually means under the new League Phase format — including draw mechanics, scheduling advantages, and why this campaign is quietly becoming historic for the club.In Part Two, the panel turn their attention to squad management and development, including a loan decision that sparks serious debate about pathways, planning, and long-term intent. There's also the return of the Who Am I? game, predictions from around the Premier League, a six-pack ranking Manchester United's post-Ferguson managers, and an early look ahead to a high-stakes weekend showdown at the Emirates.A big European night, plenty of talking points, and another step forward in Arsenal's Champions League journey.Chapters:(00:00) – Arteta's Non-Negotiables Intro(00:53) – Rotation, Selection Surprises & Revenge Framing(02:03) – Fast Start: Arsenal on the Front Foot(03:14) – 1-0 | Gabriel Jesus Opens the Scoring(04:20) – Midfield Exposure & Inter's Long-Ball Threat(05:21) – 1-1 | Barella Strike and Game Turns End-to-End(07:28) – Shape Confusion, Zubimendi Isolation & Control Debate(08:22) – 1-2 | Set-Piece Delivery and Jesus' Second(09:26) – Missed Chances, Saka Shot Selection & Open Game(10:39) – Half-Time Thoughts: Control Without Pressure(12:09) – Lewis-Skelly Moment: Awareness vs Physicality(15:01) – Second-Half Control & Arsenal Push for a Third(16:07) – Substitutions Debate: Rice, Eze & Midfield Balance(18:34) – Merino Booking, Suspensions & Tactical Fouls(19:47) – Game Settles & Defensive Shutdown(20:19) – 1-3 | Gyökeres Finish After Martinelli Impact(21:36) – Saka Debate: Greed, Confidence & Shot Volume(28:09) – Late Booking, Game Killed & Full-Time Reaction(28:38) – Stats Review & Why the Game Wasn't Close(30:20) – Seven Straight Wins & Champions League Significance(31:35) – League Phase Tiebreakers Explained(32:44) – Champions League Ambition & Squad Depth Questions(37:18) – PT.2 Who Am I? But the real terror began when she returned. The Disclosure: Shortly after publishing her account of these specific entities, Nicole's analytics revealed she was being monitored by a specific IP address: Vatican City. Why is the Church tracking NDE survivors who speak of the "Fish Gods"?In this episode, we dismantle the "New Age" narrative and look at the mechanics of the afterlife. We cover the danger of "bring-back" entities during meditation, the "frequency war" waged by modern cities to keep you trapped in the body, and the "Great Reset" that ancient tablets warned us about.
