In this special 200th episode of Podtastic Audio, I'm taking off the headphones and getting real with you. Over the last 15 years, I've worked as a gasoline tanker truck driver—and for the past several years, I've also been behind the mic as an indie podcaster, podcast editor, and podcast coach. But this episode isn't about audio tips or gear recommendations. It's about why I podcast in the first place. This is my most personal episode yet. I'm sharing the full story of how I went from being a long-haul listener to launching The Kris and Kristine Show with my wife, how that podcast helped build a relationship—and how the end of both the show and the marriage left me rebuilding everything from scratch. Through heartbreak, divorce, and the chaos of starting over, podcasting became more than just a creative outlet—it became my lifeline. I talk openly about navigating the collapse of a relationship, the decline of our podcast, and what it's like to lose your co-host and your best friend all at once. But I didn't stop. I kept creating. In this episode, I also introduce my new podcast project, Everyone's a Bot, a short-form social media comedy podcast that helps me laugh through the absurdity of online life. Whether you're new to podcasting, deep into your own indie podcast journey, or just need to hear a real story about resilience and rediscovery, this one's for you.

In this episode of "Podtastic Audio," I, Chris from the Kris and Kristine Show, dive deep into the intricacies of podcast production, sharing valuable insights from my own experiences and expertise. I begin by discussing the critical importance of a podcast's initial moments, advising against starting episodes with ads, as they can prompt listeners to skip ahead, potentially missing crucial content. Instead, I advocate for captivating introductions that hook the listener right from the start. Throughout the episode, I emphasize the dual priorities of good content and superior audio quality, which are essential for retaining an audience. I provide a detailed walkthrough on how to achieve professional sound, including tips on mixing audio and selecting the right equipment. Additionally, I discuss the strategic use of engaging titles and visually appealing episode artwork, drawing parallels to successful tactics used in YouTube content creation. A significant portion of the podcast is dedicated to leveraging technology, particularly focusing on the use of AI through platforms like Eleven Labs. I explain how AI can be utilized to create compelling podcast introductions and even entire episodes, offering a step-by-step guide on how to use these tools effectively to enhance production value without incurring high costs. I also share my thoughts on ad placement, suggesting that mid-roll positions are better for listener retention than pre-roll spots. I wrap up the episode by encouraging podcasters to infuse their unique personalities into their shows. This personal touch, according to me, is what truly differentiates one podcast from another and fosters a loyal listener base. Overall, this episode of "Podtastic Audio" serves as a comprehensive guide for both novice and experienced podcasters, packed with actionable advice aimed at improving the quality and appeal of their podcast productions. In this episode of Podtastic Audio, I reflect on the early days of podcast promotion with my first podcast, "The Kris and Kristine Show," back in mid-2020. We utilized Twitter resharing groups as a marketing tool, where podcasters would share new episodes within the group, and members were expected to reshare each other's content. However, recent observations revealed a shift in behavior. Many podcasters began using these groups solely as personal billboards, neglecting the reciprocity that once defined them. Disheartened by this trend, I've made the difficult decision to close down all Twitter groups associated with both podcasts, marking the end of an era in our promotional strategies. Join me as I discuss the evolution of podcast promotion and explore new avenues for audience engagement and growth. Thanks so much for listening, I really appreciate it so much. One key element that can elevate a podcast to success is the dynamic between dual hosts. Crafting a positive podcast dynamic requires careful consideration of various factors such as getting to know each other, defining roles and responsibilities, effective communication, authenticity, and navigating challenges. Getting to Know Each Other: The foundation of a successful dual-hosted podcast lies in the hosts' understanding of each other. Take the time to delve into each other's backgrounds, interests, and personal experiences. A strong personal connection will not only foster camaraderie but will also contribute to a more natural and engaging conversation. Share anecdotes, discuss shared interests, and establish a genuine friendship, as this connection will resonate with your audience. Roles and Responsibilities: Clearly defined roles and responsibilities are essential for avoiding confusion and ensuring a seamless podcasting experience. Discuss and outline each host's strengths, interests, and areas of expertise. Establishing who leads the conversation, manages technical aspects, and handles social media promotion can help create a well-organized and efficient workflow. By recognizing each other's strengths, hosts can complement one another, providing a more balanced and diverse perspective for the audience. Communication: Effective communication is the backbone of any successful partnership. Regularly check in with each other to discuss the podcast's direction, potential topics, and overall goals. Set up a communication channel, whether it be through regular meetings, messaging apps, or shared documents, to facilitate collaboration. Transparent communication ensures that both hosts are on the same page and helps prevent misunderstandings that may arise during live recordings. Authenticity: Authenticity is the key to connecting with your audience. Listeners appreciate hosts who are genuine, relatable, and true to themselves. Embrace your unique personalities, quirks, and perspectives. Authenticity fosters a connection with your audience, making them feel like they are part of an honest and authentic conversation. Share personal stories, experiences, and even vulnerabilities to create a more profound connection with your listeners. Navigating Challenges: No partnership is without its challenges. Disagreements may arise, technical difficulties may occur, or external factors may impact the podcast's flow. Establish a protocol for resolving conflicts, whether it's through open communication, compromise, or seeking external advice. Embrace challenges as opportunities for growth and improvement, and learn from each experience to strengthen your podcasting dynamic. Crafting a positive podcast dynamic with dual hosts involves a thoughtful combination of getting to know each other, defining roles and responsibilities, fostering effective communication, embracing authenticity, and navigating challenges. By investing time in building a strong foundation, dual hosts can create a podcast that not only resonates with their audience but also stands the test of time. Remember, the synergy between hosts is the heartbeat of a successful podcast, and when done right, it can lead to a truly memorable and impactful listening experience. We're thrilled to be back in the podcasting scene, ready to share our thoughts, stories, and laughter with our amazing listeners. Life has thrown some unexpected twists our way recently, adding a layer of realness to our conversations. In the midst of our return, we sadly experienced the loss of our dear neighbor Joe, reminding us of the fragility of life. As we navigate through these events, we aim to bring a mix of joy, reflection, and authenticity to our discussions. On this episode we are joined by June Edward. She has been psychic since a child; however she didn't realize she was also a medium until later in life. Some of her gifts have been passed on, since her mother was also a medium. She also passed to the other side herself when she was 27 years old, and came back to this side by choice. She can offer firsthand experience that Life after Life does exist! She has a 100% success rate in bringing through souls from the other side, to give closure and help loved ones heal on both sides. Her sold out group readings can help give insight as to what's going on in your life, and help to see what the Universe has in store. June's special gifts include working directly with the Angels, Guides and departed Souls. Combined these tools have made her a very strong and accurate psychic and trance medium, able to bring through validating details to prove the connection and messages from the other side. June believes that her job as a psychic medium is not only to help those connect with their loved ones, and heal both sides, but to help encourage others to embrace this life, and be thankful for all the gifts they receive in their life every day! https://juneedward.com/ https://www.facebook.com/JuneEdward111/ https://instagram.com/juneedwardmassmedium?igshid=OGQ5ZDc2ODk2ZA%3D%3D&utm_source=qrhttps://www.linkedin.com/in/june-edward-0a6981a?utm_source=share&utm_campaign=share_via&utm_content=profile&utm_medium=ios_apphttps://x.com/junemassmedium?s=20https://www.youtube.com/@juneedward3760 ***** The Kris and Kristine Show ***** http://www.krisandkristineshow.com https://www.kristinesmithdesigns.com K2 RADIO: https://live365.com/station/K2-RADIO-a04551 Email: krisandkristinepodcast@gmail.com Voice Mail: https://www.speakpipe.com/KrisandKristineShow Twitter: https://twitter.com/k2showsandiego Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thek2showsandiego/?hl=en Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/k2showsandiego Patreon: www.patreon.com/thekrisandkristineshow

The aftermath of Christmas 2023. We had the blessed opportunity to have both of us home for Christmas Eve & Christmas Day this year. Plus having the little boys staying with us for the Christmas Morning experience was truly magical. Then on this episode we are joined by Anthony Kuo. A Career Satisfaction Coach. You are more than your job, and your career is more than a shiny resume. Much more! Anthony Kuo is a Career Satisfaction Coach - and he wants to help you intentionally craft a career you're excited to wake up for. Anthony graduated from the NYU Stern School of Business in 2010 and subsequently took an 8 year tour through the Fortune 500 world, rising up the corporate ladder before realizing he was filling his bank account but leaving his soul empty. Anthony integrates his practical experience with his training as a Transformational NLP Practitioner to gently and playfully guide his clients through one of life's most omnipresent questions: "What do you want to be when you grow up?" About Anthony Kuo: I grew up playing the piano at a very high level. Thanks to my Juilliard-trained parents, I performed at Carnegie Hall when I was 17. Despite my talent, my heart just wasn't in it. So once the concert recording helped me lock down college scholarships, I called it quits. You see, there's a huge difference between having a skill and genuinely enjoying it - but I didn't learn that lesson until much later, 8 years into a rapidly advancing corporate career. On paper, I was living the American Dream. But I was anything but happy. It turns out that focusing solely on our skills is just half the story. In our frantic quest to answer "what can I do?", we often lose sight of a far more crucial question: "what do I need to thrive?" Career satisfaction isn't just about landing a new job. It's about defining "satisfaction" on your own terms (hint: not your mom's). As a career satisfaction coach, I help clients uncover their unique career fulfillment formula, locate fitting opportunities, and present themselves effectively to attract the right employers and repel the wrong ones. https://untamedcareer.com/ ***** The Kris and Kristine Show ***** http://www.krisandkristineshow.com https://www.kristinesmithdesigns.com K2 RADIO: https://live365.com/station/K2-RADIO-a04551 Email: krisandkristinepodcast@gmail.com Voice Mail: https://www.speakpipe.com/KrisandKristineShow Twitter: https://twitter.com/k2showsandiego Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thek2showsandiego/?hl=en Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/k2showsandiego Patreon: www.patreon.com/thekrisandkristineshow

A former attorney who earned her MFA in creative writing from Saint Mary's College of California in 2020 at age 56. A longtime resident of the California Bay Area, , she turned to writing after losing George, her high school sweetheart and husband of 32 years, and she found herself single and living alone for the first time in her life. Weiss's essays have been published in The New York Times's “Modern Love” column, HuffPost, Woman's Day, Good Housekeeping, and Reader's Digest, among other publications. This April marks ten years since she lost her husband George to cancer in April 2013. It talks about creating a new life after widowhood, including dating, which was quite a surprise since she hadn't dated since 1980 as a high school junior. On this week's episode, we talk about the simple struggles we deal with on a daily basis. Finding the balance between work schedules and personal lives. https://podtasticaudio.com/easy https://www.kristinesmithdesigns.com/ Then we are joined by Clint Hatton. From being a former drug addict and divorced in his late twenties to a pastor to losing his 17-year-old son in a tragic plane crash to inspiring people to be courageous humans. He has lived a very layered life. At 12 years old he faced living with a mother that suffered from suicidal ideation, which on two occasions almost cost him his own life. During our 20-year marriage together, Amárillys and him have experienced a miscarriage and two sons born prematurely (Gabriel at 3 lbs 12 ozs & Liam at 1 lb 14 ozs) because of her life (and theirs) being threatened by a pregnancy disease. While giving birth to their middle son Joel, they had another close call as she had great difficulty waking up from the anesthesia. There have been many other scary moments and setbacks. There have also been some amazing experiences and victories! All of these challenges helped prepare him for the greatest blow of losing his oldest son to tragedy. There are foundational mindsets, values, and character traits he have lived by that have empowered him (and his family) to be resilient and thrive again no matter what life throws at us! We have survived Hurricane Hilary. For the first time in modern history the city of San Diego was on hurricane notice. The city was bracing for impact. And as most of our weather, it was uneventful. Kris has some exciting news related to Podtastic Audio. https://podtasticaudio.com/easy Kristine has exciting news about Kristine Smith Designs. https://www.kristinesmithdesigns.com/ Then we are joined by Danika Sanchez. Danika began her nursing career in 2018, with time spent in both the NICU and in Postpartum/Mother-Baby. This gives her a unique perspective into the relationships and bonding processes between parents and babies. Education is her passion; she not only enjoys educating parents on caring for their newborns but continues to learn about new theories and evidence-based practice with regards to parenting and newborns. She holds a BSN in nursing, an RNC for NICU, and is certified in neonatal touch and massage. Working with new parents over the last 5 years has given her the ability to address not only the concerns regarding physical care of the infant, but also the parent's fear of the unknown, and lack of confidence in his/her ability to care for the infant. One of her specialties is helping same-sex couples (most often men) learn to care for a baby (especially a daughter). She loves to help everyone, but if she can contribute to the education and empowerment of an underserved community then she is even more excited to do so. https://babystepsnursing.com/ https://www.instagram.com/babystepsnursing/ https://www.linkedin.com/in/baby-steps/ ***** The Kris and Kristine Show ***** http://www.krisandkristineshow.com https://www.kristinesmithdesigns.com K2 RADIO: https://live365.com/station/K2-RADIO-a04551 Email: krisandkristinepodcast@gmail.com Voice Mail: https://www.speakpipe.com/KrisandKristineShow Twitter: https://twitter.com/k2showsandiego Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thek2showsandiego/?hl=en Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/k2showsandiego Patreon: www.patreon.com/thekrisandkristineshow

We have had quite the summer this year as our kids get ready to go back to school. Two of our boys, the oldest and youngest will be attending brand new schools for the first time. We have a college student and two middle schoolers now. They do grow up fast. As parents we try to give the best opportunities for our kiddos so they can become great adults in the future. But what if kids are brought up in a not so loving household? Our guest this week Lisa Goodpaster has had a traumatizing upbringing. Alienated from both parents by her stepmom, Lisa's the first child of divorce to come forward with proof of what happened to her. Lisa hopes by sharing her story it will bring awareness and action against parental alienation. While clearing the path for other survivors to come forward. WHY DID YOU START THE STEPHOOD PROJECT? I started the project to bring awareness of parental alienation and reach other survivors unaware of them. To ignite a positive movement forward towards parenting for our kids and generations to come. Co-parenting is so essential. Without it, any child can be led with years of trauma and confusion. This reason alone is why I started the Stephood Project. https://www.stephoodproject.org/ https://www.facebook.com/lisa.goodpaster https://instagram.com/lisa.goodpaster https://www.tiktok.com/@lisaleanosgoodpas ***** The Kris and Kristine Show ***** http://www.krisandkristineshow.com https://www.kristinesmithdesigns.com K2 RADIO: https://live365.com/station/K2-RADIO-a04551 Email: krisandkristinepodcast@gmail.com Voice Mail: https://www.speakpipe.com/KrisandKristineShow Twitter: https://twitter.com/k2showsandiego Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thek2showsandiego/?hl=en Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/k2showsandiego Patreon: www.patreon.com/thekrisandkristineshowpodcast

Kristine is back home after traveling up north to visit her Grandfather. Who happens to be currently battling dementia illness. On this episode she shares her emotional story of seeing her Grandparents and the story of their love. And how its never too late to find your true love in life. Cherish it, because you just never know. Then we are joined by Turner Grant. A Washington DC architect, widowed father of twin boys, former candidate for Congress, and author of "To Venus and Back, One Man's Quest to Rediscover Love" published in 2023. It chronicles his quest to find life and love again at age 51 after the suicide of his wife of 20 years. "To Venus and Back, One Man's Quest to Rediscover Love" is a memoir about dating, relationships, sex, and looking to find love again when Turner Grant—a Harvard-educated architect in Washington DC, onetime congressional candidate, and father of twin boys—never expected to be doing any such thing. Adventurous, intimate, revealing, voyeuristic, surprising, and funny like most dating memoirs, the book stands apart because of its heartbreakingly tragic back-story (the suicide of his wife of 20 years). Turner's journey to Venus brought him into the lives of women whose views, expectations, and norms were so incredibly different and divergent from his own—often bizarre at times—that he often questioned how it could be. At other times, connections were made that were so amazing and intense, he was transported away from his “normal” life and world. Extensive use of actual emails and texts give the story an unfiltered and voyeuristic narrative. https://tovenusandback.com/ https://www.facebook.com/turner.grant.73 https://www.tiktok.com/@theturnergrant?lang=en https://twitter.com/TheTurnerGrant ***** The Kris and Kristine Show ***** http://www.krisandkristineshow.com https://www.kristinesmithdesigns.com K2 RADIO: https://live365.com/station/K2-RADIO-a04551 Email: krisandkristinepodcast@gmail.com Voice Mail: https://www.speakpipe.com/KrisandKristineShow Twitter: https://twitter.com/k2showsandiego Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thek2showsandiego/?hl=en Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/k2showsandiego Patreon: www.patreon.com/thekrisandkristineshow

Two years ago, upon my return to Israel after nine years in the US, I decided to follow my calling and support women's career growth. Women I work with tell me that working with me enabled them to continuously tear down "ceilings" by challenging them to think bigger. Welcome to Hot Topics! Gabrielle Crichlow talks to guest Chris Smith about podcasting - what is it, how it works, and why it is so popular.Who is Chris Smith? From Chris: "I'm Chris of the Kris and Kristine Show Podcast. Which you can find at http://www.krisandkristineshow.... The podcast launched the summer of 2019 with my then girlfriend Kristine. The podcast had no real niche or purpose. We started doing it as something fun on a Saturday night. We talked about a few life experiences and newsworthy articles that interested us. Sometime around Episode 20 we upgraded our equipment which made recording the podcast much easier. Then a few episodes later we had our first remote guest interview. Then shortly later we discovered our now preferred way to host remote interviews - Cleanfeed (http://www.cleanfeed.net). The Kris and Kristine Show began hosting regular guest interviews as part of our podcast episodes. During that time we were getting messages from other podcast shows commenting on how amazing our audio quality was. Especially when we had many different guests on. As I answered their questions about how we created the show with "basic" equipment and made it sound amazing. I had an idea to launch a second podcast all about the behind the scenes of how we made The Kris and Kristine Show. That show is called Podtastic Audio (http://www.podtasticaudio.com). A podcast designed to help out other podcasters that want a good-sounding podcast, but don't have the budget to spend on expensive gear. Podtastic Audio launched the very first episode just after New Year's Day 2021. But it was in response to all the 2020 bad audio podcasts that emerged due to the pandemic lockdown. Podtastic Audio has become a well respected show within the podcast community. The show always ranks very high on GoodPods charts. For many weeks it was ranked #1 in the Education/Courses category. I receive messages from many shows thanking me for my advice. I created this show to help others because I love the audio format. I've been a fan of radio for over 20 years. In addition to the two podcasts, I have also launched my own Radio Station K2 Radio. The station plays my favorite music live 24/7. Along with music we have clips from The Kris and Kristine Show as well as guest appearances. When a guest comes onto K2 Radio I'll have them tell me 3 of their favorite songs. I'll play them live in real time and discuss. I call it K2 Radio Sessions."You can find Chris Smith:Podtastic AudioOn the web: https://podtasticaudio.com/On Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/podt...On Twitter: https://twitter.com/PodtasticAThe Kris and Kristine ShowOn the web: https://www.krisandkristinesho...On Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/k2sho...On Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thek...On Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/k2show...K2 RADIOhttps://live365.com/station/K2...Watch this episode on YouTube: https://youtu.be/beKSNFslHqU**********************************************Follow A Step Ahead Tutoring Services:Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/astep...Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/ASATS2...Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/aste...Eventbrite: https://astepaheadtutoringserv...Visit our website: https://www.astepaheadtutoring...Sign up for our tutoring email list: https://squareup.com/outreach/...Check out our entire "Hot Topics!" podcast: https://www.astepaheadtutoring...Support us:Cash App: https://cash.app/$ASATS2013PayPal: https://paypal.me/ASATS2013Venmo: https://venmo.com/u/ASATS2013Zelle: success@astepaheadtutoringservices.comDownload the full episode transcript here: https://drive.google.com/file/...Original date of episode: November 7, 2022
This is Episode 99! Wow I've almost made it to officially creating 100 amazing podcast episodes about helping you create an amazing podcast of your own. Today we are going to have a little fun. This entire episode was recorded live in one take. To illustrate the similarities to podcast guesting remotely to locally. I have two different clips from two different podcast interviews that we did on The Kris and Kristine Show. You have to decide which of them was recorded locally, and which was done remotely with Cleanfeed. There are several differences and benefits to having podcast guests remotely or in person. Here are some of them: Remote guests: Convenience: One of the biggest advantages of having remote guests is that it's much easier to schedule interviews with people who may live in different time zones or have busy schedules. You can conduct interviews from anywhere in the world, without having to worry about travel time or expenses. Diversity: With remote guests, you have access to a much larger pool of potential guests, which can lead to a more diverse range of perspectives and experiences on your podcast. Technology: With the right tools and equipment, remote interviews can sound just as good as in-person interviews. You can use platforms like Zoom, Skype, or Zencastr to record high-quality audio and video, which can be edited and polished in post-production. In-person guests: Connection: When you're interviewing someone face-to-face, there's a level of personal connection that can be difficult to replicate remotely. You can read body language, make eye contact, and build rapport in a way that's not always possible over a screen. Energy: In-person interviews often have a higher energy level than remote interviews, which can make for a more engaging and dynamic conversation. Atmosphere: When you're recording in-person, you have control over the recording environment, which can help ensure good audio quality and reduce distractions. Ultimately, whether you choose to have podcast guests remotely or in person depends on your specific needs and goals. Remote interviews can be convenient and offer a wider range of guests, while in-person interviews can provide a deeper connection and more dynamic energy. Thanks so much for listening, I really appreciate it so much. If you need any help with your podcast, feel free to reach out. We are Back! Dr. Kristine has not been feeling well and is dealing with a very challenging time at work. Kris has been starting the new baseball little league season with Masons first big event. Then we are joined by Darryl Rodgers. He is a speaker, author, and family recovery coach living in Cary, North Carolina. As a family recovery coach, he specializes in working with parents of children struggling with a substance use disorder. Darryl also serves on the state advisory board of NC Mothers Against Drunk Driving. At the age of 19, Darryl began a career as a corporate pilot. He served as a medic in the Army National Guard and became a Copilot/Gunner on the AH-64 Apache attack helicopter. Darryl and his wife, Kim have been married for thirty-one years. They are the proud parents of two boys, Justin and Chase. My oldest of two boys, Chase, attended college on a football scholarship. He dropped out in the second semester of his freshman year after developing a drug addiction. When I first learned of Chase's drug habit, I didn't know anything about substance use disorders, and I panicked. I made a lot of parenting mistakes. Through an intervention, we were able to get Chase into treatment, but I didn't realize the proper role of the family in the recovery process. In some ways I was enabling Chase and doing things that may have contributed to his eventual relapse. I worried about Chase constantly, but it seemed as though my efforts to help him only made matters worse. Chase returned home from treatment and was doing well with his recovery at first, but months later, he relapsed and in 2014 at the age of 20, Chase died in a drug-impaired wreck. Chase was a passenger in the front seat of his own car. The 18-year-old driver took her own life 7 months later. After Chase died, I immersed myself in learning everything I could about substance use disorders. (drug & alcohol addiction). I wrote a book about Chase's life. I began doing drug prevention speaking. I read books about addiction, attended seminars, and watched videos. This weeks all new Episode Kristine has been a bit sick still. So for the first time on the podcast, she is enjoying an adult beverage. A mommy cocktail of orange juice and champagne. Also known as a mimosa. Kris discovers a brand new show on Netflix that grosses Kristine out, with the mere thought of it. (Love, Death - Robots) https://podtasticaudio.com/easy Later we are joined by Peter Anthony from Australia. Peter is an author, speaker and Master in Professional Communication. As an expert in collaboration and Peter has run workshops for thousands of people in 12 countries over 20 years. He consults to Fortune 500 companies to help them achieve better smarter outcomes from more effective internal and external relationships. His book Collabradabra highlights the six moments that matter to maximise collaborative outcomes one conversation at a time. https://peteranthonyconsulting.com/ https://www.amazon.com.au/Collabradabra-Peter-J-Anthony/dp/064681074X Peter: "As an introverted 6-year-old my mother insisted I come out of my bedroom to talk to my uncle Harry and his family. I didn't like talking so I would ask my uncle questions and he gave me long funny answers. As an introvert I was a great student and after university I found myself at IBM. They encouraged us in sales school to sell the IBM way, and I found the more I ignored selling the more clients bought from me and I was on to one of many 100% sales clubs. Later I spent a decade in advertising agencies selling clients products and again I found traditional selling didn't work. What did work was demonstrating a unique understanding of the consumer and then you were rewarded with a purchase. When I started consulting, I taught non salespeople like engineers, lawyers, and accountants how to build the client business by not selling but collaborating with clients. After 10 years of consulting and training and a master's degree I wrote Collabradabra- the magic of collaborative conversations. I would like to share the collaboration idea with your listeners who I think will find it useful if they have customers or stakeholders to engage." ***** The Kris and Kristine Show ***** http://www.krisandkristineshow.com https://www.kristinesmithdesigns.com K2 RADIO: https://live365.com/station/K2-RADIO-a04551 Email: krisandkristinepodcast@gmail.com Voice Mail: https://www.speakpipe.com/KrisandKristineShow Twitter: https://twitter.com/k2showsandiego Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thek2showsandiego/?hl=en Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/k2showsandiego Patreon: www.patreon.com/thekrisandkristineshow
We are back to Podcasting this week. Kristine has been sick over the last week as she missed out on our SuperBowl party. This episode we share our thoughts on this years Super Bowl, especially the halftime show with Rihanna performing. Then we are joined by Leslie Holthoff. In addition to her educational experience, Leslie also survived teen pregnancy in 1994, a divorce in 2005, and the death of her father in 2017. Each of these experiences brought change that she learned to embrace, including co-parenting both in and out of the 50/50 joint shared custody arena for 27 years. Her teen pregnancy and subsequent parenting took her through mediation, parenting classes, multiple court cases, child support, and all types of custody arrangements. Her divorce was a life-changing occurrence that took her from the life she thought she always wanted to a completely new life she had never even dared to dream of. Happy Holidays as we countdown to Christmas 2022! Today we discuss 10 Toys That Have Caused Holiday Mayhem Through the Years. All parents want to make their little tikes' holiday dreams come true. For many, that means dutifully participating in a distinctly non-whimsical winter tradition: mass consumption. Over the years, certain toys have topped nearly every kid's list, and in some instances, scarce supplies sent the public into veritable shopping (and scheming) frenzies. https://people.com/parents/christmas-toy-crazes-through-the-years/ ***** The Kris and Kristine Show ***** http://www.krisandkristineshow.com https://www.kristinesmithdesigns.com K2 RADIO: https://live365.com/station/K2-RADIO-a04551 Email: krisandkristinepodcast@gmail.com Voice Mail: https://www.speakpipe.com/KrisandKristineShow Twitter: https://twitter.com/k2showsandiego Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thek2showsandiego/?hl=en Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/k2showsandiego Patreon: www.patreon.com/thekrisandkristineshow

Happy December 2022! The Holiday Season is here upon us. As we gear up for the Christmas Season a lot of Podcasts will be taking time off for the Holidays. That is totally okay to take breaks from podcasting. But consider that people do enjoy listening to podcasts all year long. They might be forced to take a break from their favorite shows because they decided to take time off this time of year. Which opens up the chance they might discover you podcast. So if possible dont stop podcasting this time of year. Make your show a Holiday Theme like we are doing on The Kris and Kristine Show. All December long we are making Christmas Themed Content. On The Kris and Kristine Show this week, our Podcast Media Host went down. They had server problems and our show wouldn't play anywhere. Which can put a lot of stress when you are trying to promote your podcast. So what do you do when that happens? You should double check that you are connected to the internet. Try different devices and see if it plays. If still not working, then Google check if the company is having an outage. You could file a complaint or wait and see if it comes back up like I did. Luckily it was only down for a few hours. But if it was longer... I would consider switching media hosts. Thanks so much for listening, I really appreciate it so much. We are back in the K2 Studios this week as we settle in right after the Thanksgiving Weekend. Just today as we record this episode, Kris gets a flat tire. Hear all the usual dramatics about the day. Then we are joined by Anthony Poponi. An expert in human happiness. Something we all need in our lives, more being happy! https://anthonypoponi.com/ I have a passion for laughter, community, connecting, and philanthropy and it shows in my career, words and stories and antics. Humans are wired to feel good when connecting with others, and events are a huge part of what's been missing since the whole pandemic thing started. Conferences, retreats and team-buildings are an opportunity to reconnect and reengage. So, I urge you to gather, connect, celebrate and laugh – and, uh, hire me to make it a your event memorable and inspiring and focused. Focus on what you might ask? Focused on the 40 that Matters. I have over two decades of event planning experience, including grand galas, festivals, corporate events, trainings and intimate parties for donors and have seen it all. You get that experience behind the scenes and a “comedic genius” in front of your audience and BOOM your event goes from “fine” to “memorable.” Need more convincing? Check out my reviews. These reviews make me smile ear-to-ear because my clients are always HAPPY! I get to use my gifts in ways that serve others and inspire laughter. How lucky am I to call this my career? Very, very lucky. I would reply. I am a connector and a Connector. One is a personal passion the other is my leadership voice. Get a feel for both in this great podcast a listen on what makes me smile and the role I relish in my community. I take pride in lending my skills and experience to my community in diverse ways through service to non-profits, the less fortunate and to the business community. I'm honored to be part of a community of caring, passionate, driven and yet funky people! We all want to be happy – I want to make people happy. Service is important to me and I'm honored to volunteer my time for as a Board member for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bend and Commute Options. When I'm not working, I'm usually outside seeking space and water. I've been told I'm “tenacious about my happiness” and I love that label. I'll be out exploring the breadth of life's humbling experiences through snowboarding [below average], and playing hockey [really poorly]. And when snow turns to water I'll be rafting [flipping] and fishing [it's not called catching for a reason], on my motorcycle, hiking, mountain biking, or navigating series of near-death experiences. I'm having fun. https://anthonypoponi.com/ ***** The Kris and Kristine Show ***** http://www.krisandkristineshow.com https://www.kristinesmithdesigns.com K2 RADIO: https://live365.com/station/K2-RADIO-a04551 Email: krisandkristinepodcast@gmail.com Voice Mail: https://www.speakpipe.com/KrisandKristineShow Twitter: https://twitter.com/k2showsandiego Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thek2showsandiego/?hl=en Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/k2showsandiego Patreon: www.patreon.com/thekrisandkristineshow
