What if the secret to stronger workplace connections and higher engagement could be found in your mailbox? In this episode, Jerome and Julienne sit down with Amy Daughters—keynote speaker, author, and advocate of handwritten letters—as she shares the incredible journey that started with writing notes to a grieving acquaintance and led to a profound reconnection with over 600 Facebook friends.Amy tells a moving story about her father's unconventional summer camp rituals that taught her the power of being seen. That same power, she's discovered, lives in the simple act of a handwritten note. Send me a messageHow do we scale nature-based carbon removal without greenwashing or over-promising? That's exactly what I explore in this episode with Lisett Luik, co-founder of Arbonics. We all know forests are powerful carbon sinks. But turning that into credible, measurable climate action is harder than it sounds. Lisett shares how Arbonics is using satellite data, digital twins, and over 50 layers of land analysis to help landowners across Europe grow new forests or manage existing ones for long-term carbon storage, without defaulting to clear-cutting or monoculture plantations. We discuss the difference between planting trees and restoring ecosystems, how continuous cover forestry can deliver carbon and timber, and why Europe's underused farmland holds massive potential for afforestation. Lisett also tackles the big issue of trust in carbon markets - explaining how dynamic baselines, data transparency, and strong EU regulations are helping improve the integrity of nature-based carbon credits. If you work in sustainability, forestry, or carbon markets, or you just want to understand the real role of nature-based solutions alongside tech like direct air capture, this episode is for you.Listen now to learn how technology and nature can work together to deliver scalable, high-quality carbon removal.Find out more at https://arbonics.com, and connect with Lisett on Bluesky here.Digital Disruption with Geoff Nielson Discover how technology is reshaping our lives and livelihoods.Listen on: Apple Podcasts SpotifySupport the showPodcast supportersI'd like to sincerely thank this podcast's amazing supporters: Lorcan Sheehan Jerry Sweeney Andreas Werner Stephen Carroll Roger Arnold And remember you too can Support the Podcast - it is really easy and hugely important as it will enable me to continue to create more excellent Climate Confident episodes like this one.ContactIf you have any comments/suggestions or questions for the podcast - get in touch via direct message on Twitter/LinkedIn. Rowell breaks down how his enterprise sales discipline shaped his startup success, sharing tactical wisdom on transforming cold calls into warm connections, creating repeatable processes, and winning buyer trust from the very first interaction. If you can build what you're gonna do every day into a defined process, you're gonna move faster.”[00:01:46] “I saw 50-year-old President's Club winners still taking time to read 10-Ks before calls. That prep never stops being valuable.”[00:02:57] “They shouldn't be cold calls. They should be warm calls because you should figure out ways to make them warm.[00:04:09] “If you're an enterprise rep, that's your NFL. You should be prepping like Patrick Mahomes watches film.[00:05:55] “Preparation allows you to be present, not scrambling to sound interesting.[00:06:45] “When you're prepared, you're not performing. You're just being yourself—and that's when trust is built.[00:08:34] “Dialing in a process and measuring success—whether in sales or startups—gives you repeatable wins.”Listen to the full conversation through the link below.https://revenue-builders.simplecast.com/episodes/pinned-golf-making-the-shift-from-sales-to-entrepreneurshipEnjoying the podcast? Send us a messageHow often do we get caught up in what might happen tomorrow or what happened yesterday, neglecting the beauty and purpose of today? God has invited us to live fully in the moment, trusting that He is at work in all three - our past, present, and future. Living in the present means embracing the moment we're in. But being present doesn't mean ignoring the past or the future. It means letting them inform our actions today without letting them control us.In this final episode of the "Focus" series, we take a look at what lessons we can learn by living in the present, while still taking time to look back at the past and look ahead towards the future.

A lot of us respect the Bible but if we're honest with ourselves, we struggle to love it. We haven't learned to "consume" what's spiritually nourishing. Scripture is not just literature; it's spiritual fuel, essential for our growth and vitality. In this episode, Whit and Casey discuss how to learn and grow in our understanding and love of God's Word. Why does prayer often feel awkward and uncomfortable? We often struggle with feelings of inadequacy, striving for the perfect words while missing the authentic connection with God. The basis of prayer is not performance but relationship. So, how should we pray? In this episode, Whit and Casey talk about their personal experiences with prayer, our misconceptions about God, and what Jesus had to say about prayer. Today's Message: How can you believe that?1 Corinthians 1:18-23
Message: How do we allow God's good work to be completed in us? We grow in our identity in Christ, we grow in our purpose, and we grow in our practice. We, as Christians, have to understand that our identity can't be found anywhere except for in Christ. We have to commit everything to the Lord and our thoughts and desires will begin to be transformed to His. After that, we have to put off the old man and put on the fruit of the Spirit. Passage: Philippians 1:2-6 “Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”

In today's episode, we're diving into the art of delivering clear sermons. Have you ever found yourself listening to a speech and wondering, "What are they trying to say?" Unfortunately, unclear messages are all too common in preaching, leaving congregations confused or unaffected. Today, we explore the three essential characteristics of a clear and effective message: unity, order, and progress.Unity of Thought:Clarity begins with unity. A clear message must embody a single, vigorous idea. This unity is not just an academic concept but a functional necessity for effective communication. As the scripture reminds us, "If the trumpet makes an uncertain sound, who will prepare for battle?" To avoid leaving listeners with their own conclusions, we must subject our thoughts to the unity of the Word of God. Unity, in essence, reflects the way God created us to seek order and coherence in the chaos around us.Unity in The Message:How can a speaker achieve this unity? The answer lies in the concept of a "central idea." Every sermon, much like the sermons in the Book of Acts, should be centered around a single idea or thought. Effective communication, whether in speeches or sermons, demands a single, dominant idea. Regardless of the terminology used, be it "thesis," "theme," or "central thought," the principle remains the same — a clear message consists of one main central idea.Order in the Message:After unity, the next crucial element in an effective sermon is order. Order ensures that various ideas are distinguished, follow one another logically, and progress towards a climax. Sermons often fail not because they have too many ideas, but because those ideas are unrelated. Good order is key to maintaining the audience's attention and interest.Progress throughout the Message:Progress is the third fundamental factor in a powerful speech. It is indispensable for holding people's attention and interest. Without progress, the audience may perceive the speaker as treading water, leading to a loss of concentration. Progress is vital for clarity, preventing the message from being unclear or easily forgotten.Summary:In summary, effective messages are clear, possessing unity, order, and progress. Napoleon's three commands to his messengers — "Be clear! Be clear! And be clear!" — echos the importance of clarity. Achieving clarity requires hard work, time, and effort, but it's a worthwhile investment. As you prepare your sermon, remember that if your message is unclear to you, it will be unclear to your audience. Your message should be concise, clear, and expressible in a single sentence. This process may be challenging, but it is essential for creating impactful and memorable sermons.Remember, no sermon is ready for preaching until you can express its theme in a short, pregnant sentence and as a clear as crystal short phrase or paragraph. Message: How are you living God's plans and purposes? We watch things to see how they work or don't work. Paul is uncovering the legalism of the Law, the heresies, where previously he was was persecuting Christians in accordance with the Law or with the support of the Law. Paul is in Corinth writing to the the Romans, to encourage them in the salvation of God by grace through faith. New Testament Christians use Romans to strengthen their faith and learn how to live with their new beliefs. It is the power of God in which we receive salvation through the gospel of Christ. The righteousness of God grows through the gospel by faith to help us live as a new creation. Living is walking in trust of a truth in our life, a path directed by God. The righteousness of God is revealed through His wrath from our rebellion. Trusting in this world is like stepping in sinking sand. God is manifest in everyone, but revealed through manifestations in our lives as our rebellions are shown. The Jews had clues to God, but refused Him in their heart. They reasoned away their evil ways, unwilling to see the light of God, giving in to the desires of their hearts. They valued the world over God, so He desired to show them their sin, to see their own destruction. He repeated the process until they were drawn back to Him, seeing their self-worship and need for a Deliverer. This is God's loving response to their unrighteousness. The answer is to focus on heaven rather than earth, but we choose paths of destruction, reaching for the wrong things, creating a way to get what we want over what God wants for us. We, by default are rejecting God and walk deeper in sin, wanting no one to tell us what to do. Even so, God in His compassion makes a way through His Son to live life. Scripture: Romans 1:16-17 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”" - NKJV
