Today is my most personal episode yet! The journey of becoming a mom has been anything but straightforward for this girl. Since I turned 30 (I am 34) I have had repeated labs, endless needle sticks, and the same news from 4 fertility doctors in 3 states. "You have a low AMH level, which doesn't make you a candidate for egg freezing and if you do want to get pregnant you should try today (this was 4 years ago) because the chances of you conceiving are already slim to none..." That constant disappointment did everything but discourage me for very long, I fully trusted in God and the timing of my life. Fast forward to today and I HAVE THE BEST NEWS to SHARE WITH YOU TODAY! WE ARE PREGNANT!!!!!! Let's explore this new chapter of motherhood together!

Welcome back to our weekend Cabral HouseCall shows! This is where we answer our community's wellness, weight loss, and anti-aging questions to help people get back on track! Check out today's questions: Selena: What are your thoughts on apple cider vinagre, do you recommend to take it on a daily basis? Holly: Hi Dr Cabral, Thank you so much for all the information you share for free - it really is life changing. I started listening to your podcast a couple of months ago and I heard you explaining most diseases are curable except maybe cancer. I understand you can't give medical advice but I value your opinion and I'd really appreciate your thoughts on my situation. I was diagnosed with premature ovarian failure also known as early menopause at age 30 with a FSH of 125 and a AMH of 0.2. I endured 6 years of infertility and finally had my miracle baby via IVF, egg donation and reproductive immunological therapy last year. Have you experienced Premature Ovarian Failure being cured? Would it be possible to restart ovulation and conceive naturally? If so what would you recommend for my next steps? Dawn: Dear Doctor Cabral. Thank you so much for everything you do I enjoy watching you every day. I read your book. I use the daily nutritional support. I did your cleanse. everything you do is so helpful to us all. Thank you so much. I recently cleaned out all my cosmetic and skin care. Because I know of the dangers of everything we buy out there. I found a company called toupe and co. I really think you should check them out. Their ingredients are amazing and us women do like choices. And they are very good ones. Let us know what you think i'm sure you will approve. Alie: Hi Dr. Cabral, Your podcast is amazing, I've learned so much from you and I really appreciate all that you do. I'm reaching out because I have been dealing with chronic canker sores for the last 3 months. I have always gotten them here and there, but for the last 3 months I have had 4-8 in my mouth at the same time, at all times. I have eliminated citrus and acidic foods from my diet and nothing seems to be working. Do you have any idea what else might be causing these? I also struggle with migraines, digestive issues, and hemorrhoids so I'm not sure if these things could all be connected? In the past I've been told to see a Rheumatologist as well, I never got to it so I wanted to know if you think that's worth while? Thank you so much! Nicolette: Hi! i have been listening to your podcast for years, and it has truly changed my life and perspective on health! I have been diagnosed with subclinical hypothyroidism by my endocrinologist. Before starting a family, he has made it a point that with my TSH level fluctuating between 2.5-4.5 that once I'm pregnant, I would need to begin synthryoid. I obviously want to do what's best for the baby, but also don't want to take unnecessary medication. What are your thoughts on this? Is this a known or common practice? Are there other options to do while pregnant with a compromised thyroid? Thank you so much! In this insightful episode of "Taco Bout Fertility Tuesday," Dr. Mark Amols unpacks the complex significance of FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone) levels within the realm of fertility treatments. Using vivid analogies such as smoke signals and buildings, Dr. Amols elucidates why the numbers on a lab report are just the beginning of understanding one's fertility health. Delve deep into the dynamics between FSH and estrogen, and learn why lowering FSH with estrogen might not actually improve your chances of conceiving.Dr. Amols challenges common misconceptions and provides a nuanced explanation of how FSH levels interact with ovarian reserve, response to medication, and ultimately, egg quality. This episode not only clarifies the biological feedback loops essential for accurate diagnosis but also emphasizes the difference between association and causation in fertility metrics.Listeners will come away with a clearer understanding of how hormonal levels reflect underlying reproductive conditions, rather than dictating them. Whether you're navigating your own fertility journey or supporting someone else's, Dr. Amols offers essential knowledge to help demystify the process, ensuring that patients and their supporters are well-informed and empowered.Tune in to "Smoke Signals: Decoding What FSH Levels Truly Signify in Fertility" for an in-depth discussion that transcends the numbers, offering hope and clarity to those facing fertility challenges. Don't miss this opportunity to change the way you think about fertility and hormonal health. Thanks for tuning in to another episode of 'Taco Bout Fertility Tuesday' with Dr. Mark Amols. Be supported on your donor egg journey with the Community MembershipIn this episode, we are joined by Jessica, a wife, mother, and mental health therapist from Oklahoma, USA. Jessica's path to motherhood was rough from the very start, as she received the devastating diagnosis of premature ovarian failure at age 24. The fairy tale that we all take for granted of natural conception was shattered and she struggled with her mental health. The irony that she should be at the peak of her fertility in her 20's was hard to bear and she sank into a deep depression. After knowing about her condition, Jessica sought help from two doctors regarding her situation, and they provided contrasting advice. One convinced her that she can't conceive naturally, while the second one told her that she can still try for at least a month to see if it works. Jessica was not convinced that she could get pregnant naturally and made a courageous decision at 29 to embrace the donor egg pathway to parenthood.Dedicated to being a mother, Jessica embarked on six trips over nine months, opting for donor egg IVF at CNY in New York. It took her four transfers, and then she finally achieved pregnancy with her son, who is approaching his third birthday.Jessica shared that the biggest help came from her husband and family's support. She said:“ I think the biggest thing for me was I relied on my husband and my family for support. I talked to them about how I was feeling. And I think that was a big thing. I knew from my past that I don't want to talk about the things I'm struggling with and I found that it was best for me to reach out and talk about how I was feeling.”Leaning on her faith also played a pivotal role in her journey. She found solace in being prepared for different outcomes, regardless of whether the path led to success or further challenges. Jessica's journey ignited her passion for raising awareness about the donor egg pathway. She emphasizes the value of sharing stories, destigmatizing emotions, and helping others navigate their emotional complexities more efficiently. Through her trials, Jessica found her inner strength and resilience. Shifting her mindset, she recognized her journey as a source of strength rather than brokenness, transforming her feelings of isolation into growth and healing.Support the showI would love you to hit subscribe to find out when my next episode has landed and leave me a review :)✨Follow me on Instagram for all topics Donor Egg IVF - @donoreggmama✨ Check out my website www.donoreggmama.com✨ Find out all about my Community Membership for women on a donor egg pathway ✨To find out about the coaching programs I offer click here✨To join my free donor egg emotions support Facebook group click here✨ To be a guest on my podcast click here✨ Contact me here

Record numbers of young women are experiencing early menopause, also known as Premature Ovarian Failure, in their 20s and 30s. Here's the science and details you should know. Support your sleep, mood and metabolic health with Myo Relax and Calm by MYOXCIENCE: bit.ly/myo-relax-sleep-blend Use code podcast at checkout to save Link to video and research: https://bit.ly/3NZeWOv Time Stamps: 00:00 Young women in their 20s and teen girls are going through menopause, premature ovarian insufficiency. 00:37 Nearly 11% of women in North America go through POI. 01:45 POI is a symptom of endocrine disrupting chemical exposure, poor metabolic health, and malnutrition. 03:45 Long-term health issues are caused by low estrogen, progesterone and testosterone. 04:50 Early symptoms 05:30 Indicators: elevated FSH, between 25 IU and 40 IU, and low AMH, below 3.5 picomoles/liter. 06:24 Exposure to certain environmental chemicals compromise reproductive health in women. 10:35 POI is ovarian failure, not early menopause.
In 2013, I gained 45 pounds in three months … out of the blue. It was scary and overwhelming, and I had a really challenging time finding a doctor to help me understand what happened to my body. When I was finally diagnosed with Premature Ovarian Failure and put on Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT), I began releasing the 45 lbs that I mysteriously gained. As my journey unfolded, I struggled with falling asleep and staying asleep at various times, and optimizing my hormones moved the needle and helped me to sleep. As I've been on-the-hunt to figure out why I've struggled with brain fog and weight-loss-resistance, my quality of life has dramatically improved because of BHRT. And when one of my root cause practitioners (*cough*male*cough) suggested I get off hormone support while I was working with him, I KNEW that it would be a disaster …Because without hormones, I'm not sleeping, my brain doesn't work, and my body gets super inflamed. (When I told him that being off hormones would threaten my ability to function well, he agreed and chose to support me, thankfully!). None of us has to settle for a life adversely affected by unbalanced hormones. There isn't enough education out there on the power of fixing female hormones… I want you to feel empowered to navigate this part of your healing journey!Y'all have lots of questions about hormones, too! So I'm so excited to interview my dear friend, Dr Shawn Tassone, author of Hormones Balance Bible! He is one of the top functional-medicine-trained OBGYNs in natural health, and he practices right here in Austin, Texas.

At the age of 37, the doctor told me, “You have the body of a 51-year-old post-menopausal women” - Melissa Felix If that sentence shocked you as much as it shocked me, you’ll be even more surprised to hear that it’s more common than you think. A missed period here and there, and hot flashes that we dismiss as "dehydration” can be our body's way of signaling a larger problem for us to address. In this episode, we will unpack what premature ovarian failure (POF) is with our special guest Melissa Felix. Melissa bravely shares her journey about undergoing menopause earlier than she anticipated and her “trial & error” fiasco with the doctors that she saw. The vulnerability and misfortune with seeking proper diagnosis brought both the guest and myself to tears! Please make it a priority to get a reoccurring check-up and seek preventative care. Please share this episode with a friend so they can prioritize their health also. The conventional method of solving infertility leaves much to be desired. Often a blanket approach is used and everyone is shoved into IVF treatment without taking a further dive into what is really going on with each individual. In this episode I sit down with Sarah Clark and we discuss why the holistic approach is so important to getting pregnant. In addition, we talk about the alarming increase of infertility in both male and females and the impact that may have on future generations. We dive into food and inflammation and how both have dramatic effects not only on our infertility, but on our overall health and wellness, and how those traits can be passed on to our children if we don’t take action to become healthier versions of ourselves. You don’t want to miss this deep dive in all things fertility with Sarah Clark. Topics Discussed:How the traditional infertility system looks at infertility. The societal rise of infertility. How your work affects your infertility.Should you quit your job when dealing with infertility? -- Quotes:“You are in charge of your health.”“We don’t realize how sick we are before we dive into fertility.”“I don’t think people realize their 40 or 50 hour work week is having a huge impact on their fertility.”“You don’t have to accept every invite.” -- Connect with Sarah Clark:Website: https://fabfertile.com/Podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/get-pregnant-naturally/id1329414094 Connect with Monica ::

Let's talk about sex baby! When was the last time you were really honest with yourself about your sex life? For a lot of us, that conversation can feel daunting, confronting, or even shameful and there are so many factors that play into the feelings of disempowerment we experience when it comes to our own sexuality. In this episode, I'm going to be diving deep into why my views on sex have changed so drastically since I was younger, why we should be living in a judgment-free zone around this topic, particularly towards women, and share my experience being diagnosed with Premature Ovarian Failure. I hope that by offering my perspective, you feel encouraged to challenge your own beliefs and biases and are inspired to hold space in your own life for healthier conversations in regards to sex. Last year my sister and I embarked on a long journey to have a child. It was the most beautiful experience in this Premature Ovarian Failure story despite not coming out of it with a baby. My sister, Charley, selflessly offered to be my egg donor and stick with me every step of the way, nudging me coward even when it meant her sacrificing a whole lot. Here’s to the hero that literally saved the day - or - the year! I hope all POF mommas have someone in their lives who loves them so very much and is willing to show it, perhaps not by being their egg donor but in whatever way they need it. Anne Brock shares generously online about her experience of learning to live a good, full life in the midst of infertility, and she invites other women whose lives have been changed by that diagnosis to gather and do the same. In this conversation, we talk about how the path beyond an infertility diagnosis can go in different directions for different women and that there is no one path that fits every woman the same. For Anne, it's about leaning into what kind of life is possible once "childfree not by choice" becomes one's reality. If you or someone you know has been given an infertility diagnosis, this episode is particularly for you and them.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀But if infertility is *not* your reality, this episode is *still* for you. And that's because this conversation shines a light on something so many women experience, helping all of us collectively understand it more and grow in our awareness of what it can look like for light to be brought into this space.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀In this conversation, Anne and I talk about:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀* What it's like to share publicly about such a personal subject⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀* The difference between journaling and blogging⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀* The various paths available to women diagnosed with infertility and why all paths are not created equal for all women⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀* The hope that this kind of light—learning to live a good, full life in the midst of infertility—can bring to a reality that otherwise feels quite dark⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀I hope Anne's story and leadership in this area touches you. If you know someone who could be particularly encouraged by this episode, I invite you to share it with them. Thank you, Anne, for a terrific conversation and for bearing the light with such brilliance.
