This episode may get your heads scratching if you're tuning in from a society that has very specific relationship dynamics and arrangements in place. My curiosity to how other's live their lives and what they deem as healthy for their relationships has never been higher, as I am in the process of becoming the best partner and friend myself. In this episode, I speak to Akil Apollo Davis, a full-time Performing Artist & Theatre Professor of Mask and Art Aesthetic. He has been a unique and influential presence in New York City's performance, educational and cultural avant-garde for 2 decades. We discuss the ins and outs of this thing called Sex Positivity. And to give you a brief idea, sex positivity is a social and cultural movement that promotes an affirmative and open attitude towards all aspects of sexuality. It encourages individuals to embrace and explore their own sexual desires, preferences, and identities without judgment or shame. Sex positivity emphasizes the importance of consent, communication, and respect in sexual relationships. He has trained with Monks in Thailand, Brahmans in Bali, Witches in New York, and has worked with Psychologists to bridge the gaps between esoteric knowledge and classical paradigms. Akil's Karmic mantra: there must be more light. Episode Highlights Meet the one and only Akil How he went from celibacy to monogamy to discovering consensual non-monogamy Akil's understanding of attachment and fear in relationships The establishment of monogamy Accessing your healthy sexual energy The tiers of being non-monogamous, and the importance of communication on your wants and needs Emotional maturity Real life examples on how non-monogamy works The ins and outs of play parties The downsides of sex positivity/monogamy Compersion - a new word to remember Resources, courtesy of Akil:Sex-Positivity for Curious Minds 1.“The Ethical Slut: A Practical Guide to Polyamory, Open Relationships & Other Adventures” by Dossie Easton and Janet Hardy2.“Come As You Are: The Surprising New Science That Will Transform Your Sex Life” by Emily Nagoski3.“Sex at Dawn: How We Mate, Why We Stray, and What It Means for Modern Relationships” by Christopher Ryan and Cacilda Jethá4.“Opening Up: A Guide to Creating and Sustaining Open Relationships” by Tristan Taormino5.“What Makes a Baby” by Cory Silverberg (for all kinds of families)6.“Queer: A Graphic History” by Meg-John Barker and Julia Scheele7.“The New Topping Book” by Dossie Easton and Janet Hardy8.“The New Bottoming Book” by Dossie Easton and Janet Hardy9.“Girl Sex 101” by Allison Moon and KD Diamond10.“Pussy: A Reclamation” by Regena Thomashauer11.“Urban Tantra: Sacred Sex for the Twenty-First Century” by Barbara Carrellas12.“Sex God Method” by Daniel Rose13.“The Art of Sexual Magic: Cultivating Sexual Energy to Transform Your Life” by Margo Anand Psychological and Emotional Work for Curious Minds1.“The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma” by Bessel van der Kolk2.“The Sexual Healing Journey: A Guide for Survivors of Sexual Abuse” by Wendy Maltz3.“Healing Sex: A Mind-Body Approach to Healing Sexual Trauma” by Staci Haines4.“Radical Acceptance: Embracing Your Life With the Heart of a Buddha” by Tara Brach5.“The Mastery of Love: A Practical Guide to the Art of Relationship” by Don Miguel Ruiz6.“Hold Me Tight: Seven Conversations for a Lifetime of Love” by Dr. Sue Johnson7.“More Than Two: A Practical Guide to Ethical Polyamory” by Franklin Veaux and Eve Rickert8.“Love's Executioner and Other Tales of Psychotherapy” by Irvin D. Today's podcast is for women and men seeking a new approach to feeling expansive in their individual and sexual pursuits, and how to use this power in all relationships; friends, family, co-workers, and strangers. Empowered intimacy exploring tantric sex, personal power, and boundaries is a conversation that leads the charge on what we are here on Earth to move forward in, generationally. This quest of sharing how we can start owning our "turn on" or see through a "lens of love" each day of our lives has been my personal experience, and practice, for deepening my own relationship with my sexual expression. Since having had a Love, Sex, and Relationship Coach for 6 months in 2023, where we explored deep wounding, stood at my edge, and reintroduced myself to all things pleasure, I have never felt more confident and clear on what I desire and communicating it with love with my partner, friends, family, and co-workers. This conversation was also inspired by Mama Gina, Author of "Pussy: A Reclamation", and Tantric Sex Practitioner/Author, Diana Richardson, and her book "Tantric Orgasm for Women". Without women learning, feeling, and educating other women on how to cultivate the full feminine expression, we grow up sexually "out of tune", for no other reason than that we are told/shown "how" pleasure is meant to look/sound/be and fall into the despair of body unawareness. It is time to lean into an expansive episode of The Isabelle Wellman Show to feel empowered in your own intimacy. Learn the basic truths about Tantric Sex, how to hold yourself in a "turned on" state as to always be in charge of each moment, and never let your voice be denied when speaking your boundaries. How you elevate those around you is EVERYTHING. You are apart of a transformative generation. How will you participate? This episode is so important for women -- and for those who love them. I had the absolute honor and delight of sitting down with the famously beloved Regena Thomashauer, endearingly known as “Mama Gena” and celebrated as an icon, legend, media personality, and revolutionary – and the vivacious author of the NY Times Bestseller called Pussy: A Reclamation. If you are (or care about) a woman who has ever… …felt shame about your body or sexuality, …dimmed your power or light, …and/or denied, ignored, dismissed, or overrode your own pleasure and desires because you didn't think they were important… …oh my goooodness, you are in for such a treat this episode. Mama Gena's mission is all about helping women reclaim what it means to be fully expressed and embodied. She believes that women are the greatest untapped natural resource on the planet, and she has taught countless women to turn on their innate feminine power to create a life they love. Regena's approach stems from decades of research in the social, cultural, and economic history of women, and she has been recognized widely as a leading expert in modern feminism. She has been featured on Elle, Glamour magazine, Newsweek, TEDx, 2020, and countless other media outlets. In her classroom and through her books, she shifts the way women hold their sexuality and identities, both individually and culturally. On her website it reads: “She creates communities of women who are so outrageously and wildly expressed that they are loving the world back to itself.” Big yes to that! After hearing the buzz and excitement about this book a few years ago, Bret I got the audio version and listened to it together on a long road trip. We both enthusiastically recommend it and have since shared it with countless clients and friends. May you – and anyone you love – be served and inspired by this juicy episode and by getting a glimpse into what it looks like to reclaim what it means to be a woman – and to be fully turned on from being alive. ❤️ HELPFUL LINKS https://www.instagram.com/mamagena/ https://mamagenas.com/ https://www.amazon.com/Pussy-Reclamation-Regena-Thomashauer/dp/1401950248 https://centerforthrivingrelationships.com/ https://www.instagram.com/centerforthrivingrelationships/ ✨ MORE ABOUT THE THRIVING RELATIONSHIPS SHOW Christine Eartheart, Founder of the Center for Thriving Relationships, interviews some of the most inspiring luminaries, thought leaders, and researchers of our time to gain their unique insights on every imaginable aspect of how to experience more love, healing, and understanding in all our relationships. Yep, we are going there. A real conversation about sex without common misconceptions and shame. I have been pretty disconnected from my body much of my life and am slowly dismantling old ways of being and the belief systems that do not serve me. My guest, Allison Carver, has gone before me - doing this work in her own life and now guiding others on a similar path. We blow up culturally approved narratives and discuss taboos that only keep us confused and unfulfilled. The bottom line, many of us have been kept in the dark with regard to our bodies and the power of the feminine operating at its fullest and most engaged. Our Guest: Allison Carver is a certified Life, Mastery, and Sensuality Coach. With 15 years of coaching experience she now focuses on educating women of all ages about their personal sexuality. She operates from a mindset that says, “It's not about age it's about where you are on your self-discovery journey.”Married for 23 years to her best friend and beloved - Allison assumed that the sex life they enjoyed was “good enough.” A number of years ago, she took a deep dive into her own physiology and sexuality, as well as her limiting beliefs, micro traumas, and stories. In that process, she discovered all that still held her back from receiving life's pleasures fully. Allison's life completely transformed and she extends the same to others through private coaching, workshops, and a custom online courses.Allison acknowledges the many explanations for why we have been kept in the dark about our bodies and then challenges the status quo. She is passionate about lighting the path for others with her stories and experience. She delivers much needed support to her clients who value compassionate and non-judgmental guidance."Take my hand, and I will guide you to the light of pleasure."Website: https://allisonjoywellness.com/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sexwithallisonjoy/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/allisonjoyFBAYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHiQylkuk1tyrI6lgFTnWFg Great resources and people referenced on this episode:Come As You Are: The Surprising New Science that Will Transform Your Sex Life by Emily Nagoski, Ph.D.Pussy: A Reclamation by Regena Thomashauer Your host: Jen Oliver holds space for those who want to elevate and amplify their voice. My word for 2022 is JOY. After living through the pandemic, epically burning out last year, and navigating perimenopause fo the last five years, I was needing some joy in my life. I knew I would bee to be conscious about cultivating it, because JOY wasn't showing up on it's own. Over solstice last winter, I shared my word JOY with my witchy friends Autumn and Jendeah and they were like, "Joy, yes, but have you considered Pleasure?" Pleasure? Ummm. no. I'm immediately thinking, "Is pleasure necessary? Isn't it dangerous? I mean, JOY would benefit others. I'd be happier and easier to be around. I'd spread light and love to everyone who came near me, right? I mean, we could all use more joy right now." But pleasure? Pleasure = sexy. Sexy = not me. But I decided to lean in. (I love/hate this quality about myself.) My resistance obviously meant I should get curious. So I did. In this episode, I'm talking with my friends, Jendeah and Autumn - both who are faithful to the practice and experience of pleasure in their lives. I'll be honest, they feel different to be around. They experience the world, themselves and their relationships through another lens - an embodied, rich, present, and pleasurable lens. About my guests: Autumn Youngblood is a pleasure ambassador — she has committed nearly the last decade of her life to exploring, testing, and sharing the transformational power of choosing pleasure. She is the daughter of artists, the mother of daughters, and is currently in a deep transformational process of claiming her sovereignty. She manages a retreat center called Liminalia in the coastal mountain range of Oregon where she loves to welcome friends for healing, renewal, and empowerment. Jendeah Foreman identifies as a Pleasure Activist, Witch, tarot reader, social worker, creative writer, cat mama, and a big voiced, big idea having, outspoken, hilarious, story telling, sex positive, hula hooping badass, tender hearted feminist goddess. Jenn is part of a Pleasure Coven where she meets monthly with a group of women who are dedicated to the ongoing conversation and real life application of pleasure as a guiding light for a happier, more fulfilling and lush life. She has spent the last several years prioritizing pleasure in all aspects of her life. She believes that women fully anchored in the power of their pleasure can and will save the world. Please enjoy our conversation and if the kids are around, you might want to save this episode for another time. Just saying.. RESOURCES FOR YOU! How do you see desire: as a challenge or an opportunity? If you chose the first option, you definitely believe your desires aren't within reach. But don't worry, that isn't your fault. Living in a masculine culture as a feminine person means pushing your instincts deep down. So much so you don't even recognize them. This unfortunately conditions us to feel anger and shame towards our desires, which only pushes us away from our power even more. But have no fear, because there are magnificent women leading a rebellion to honor our womanly desires. In case you missed it, I had the magnetic Mama Gena on the IHML Show to discuss how to take your pleasure seriously. Her New York Times best-selling novel, Pussy: A Reclamation, speaks volumes about the importance of desires to our wellbeing. Not only for ourselves, but other people as well! I felt called to share my essential takeaways from this book that have not only influenced my life but many others, too. Pussy is a much needed reminder that we women are worthy of all we desire. More importantly, we shouldn't feel discouraged by the challenges of experiencing them. Embracing our desire means discovering our creativity, wealth, and knowledge. Mama Gena loves to remind us that the feminine force is responsible for desire, but the masculine takes responsibility in maintaining it. This power struggle is what pressures women to second-guess their power, and all the ways they can express it. Let this podcast episode be the inspirational pep talk you need to rediscover what desire means to you. It's well within your right to experience the beauty of desire, and all the transformation that comes from it! In This Episode: Emily shares her biggest learnings from Mama Gena's book, Pussy: A Reclaimation. What makes a woman a legend? Listen to find out. Why your wants and needs matter most to you— and the rest of the world. Emily shares her life mantras inspired by Mama Gena and Raymond Holliwell. How you can rewire your mind to trust your desires (and strengthen your instincts). The exercises that Mama Gena believes can help us discover our deepest desires. If you struggle to see your desires as reality, tune into what Mama Gena's book says. Why everything leading you to your desires is just as important. The ultimate sacrifice to get what we want most in this world… Do you know the most important part of a woman's journey? The one (of many) definitions of fabulous— and why each woman is capable of it. How listening to your inner child can transform your life! Emily shares Mama Gena's legendary dress story to remind us all we deserve to make our dreams a reality. Quotes: “Every woman's legend must be lived in order to feed the evolution of the world. We will never live our legend if we follow someone else's script or someone else's roadmap, listening to and living our desires if they were a roadmap to our truth is the way we women live.” - Emily Williams (quoting Mama Gena's book Pussy: A Reclamation) “We are all impacted, influenced, and shaped for the better by the radiant power of a woman's desire.” - Emily Williams (quoting Mama Gena's book Pussy: A Reclamation) “When you look at your desires, are you looking at them, feeling ashamed, feeling like you need to hide them, feeling like you're not good enough to achieve them, feeling like if you go for those desires, then someone's gonna be negative, or are you looking at it as you know what the world requires?” - Emily Williams “True desire represents the urge of life, seeking a fuller expression and is kept alive by the continuous expectation of its fulfillment.” - Emily Williams (quoting Raymond Holliwell quoted by Mama Gena) “I'd love for you to think about a time when you actually followed a crazy desire, but it ended up working in your favor. We all have stories like that.” - Emily Williams “I believe the word ‘desire' is much stronger than the word ‘want'.” - Emily Williams “Feeling turned on at the thought of a desire sends an energetic vortex of attraction out into the world.” - Emily Williams, quoting Mama Gena “We [women] are designed to rupture in order to continually shed the skin that no longer fits us.” - Mama Gena as quoted by Emily Williams “The problem is that we women are so deeply wounded by the masculine culture in which we've been raised.” - Emily Williams (quoting Pussy: A Reclamation) Links & Resources: Follow the I Heart My Life Show on Apple Podcasts https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/i-heart-my-life-show/id1569047758 Subscribe to the I Heart My Life Show on Spotify https://open.spotify.com/show/1Zw6fI37FrfVjZMXlMiZZ6 Connect with Emily: Emily Williams Website https://emilywilliams.com/ Emily on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/emilywilliams/ I Heart My Life Website https://www.iheartmylife.com/ I Heart My Life on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/iheartmylife/ I Heart My Life on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/iheartmylifenow I Heart My Life on LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/company/i-heart-my-life/ Join the IHML community to receive exclusive announcements and tips. https://www.iheartmylife.com/newsletter Email: info@iheartmylife.com Find Mama Gena: Mama Gena Website https://mamagenas.com Mama Gena Instagram https://www.instagram.com/mamagena/ Mama Gena's book Pussy: A Reclamation https://mamagenas.com/books/?utm_campaign=social&utm_source=instagram

Does desire drive you to live authentically, or are you afraid of unleashing that power within? Has your conflicted want for visibility become the bane of your existence, driving you utterly mad with confusion and fear? What would be possible for you if you nurtured that divine feminine energy? You would not believe the positive change you can create for yourself (AND other women) by listening to your desires. I'm thrilled to have the riveting and wise Regena Thomashauer onto the IHML Show, also known as motherly media personality Mama Gena! I've been a fan of her work for some time now, implementing her own magnificent teachings and tricks into my own life! Her book Pussy: A Reclamation was an influential read of mine; it certainly has been for many other women! This bell-selling author navigates us through the monumental journey of feminine empowerment through pleasure, sexuality, and healthy doses of self-expression! Wouldn't you agree that womankind's best stories begin with difficulty? Mama Gena certainly likes to think so! She begins by bringing us back to her earliest times of struggle, and how her encounters with the ethereal feminine presence sparked a “delicious feeling” in her. This is the inspirational catalyst for Regena's entire movement! Through her own experiences, Regena evolves into an authentic advocate for the essence of womanly instinct: desire. Through fashion and friendship, she instills in us that we all possess a need to be seen for who we are. More importantly, how (and why) we shouldn't feel guilty striving to do so! Regena also divulges the origin story of how she connected with her Mama Gena persona, providing the first steps WE can take to explore that similarly powerful version of ourselves! This is the grounding for her entire educational vortex of thinking, being, and doing! Mama Gena teaches us that when women satiate their wants at every level, they uncover legendary gifts. She excitedly rants to us that generosity is one of the infinite ways a woman can inspire the people around her (which I absolutely loved). However, it is our womanly responsibility to trust our energy so that we establish a safe, supportive space for other women to discover that same enlightenment! Absolutely incredible, isn't it?!?! I love how Regena tells us how she's personally steered through belief systems in religion that shame or invalidate the nature of the divine feminine. As someone who grew up in a religious background, it was personally difficult for me to overcome negative criticisms of feminine desire. Gena advises us to enjoy the immortal spirit of earth's feminine beauty as a way of connecting to our individual spirituality- and eradicate those feelings of shame! This episode is to remind you that dressing up and stepping out is more than just a lively outing. Under the surface of womankind's vibrantly alluring expressions, it's really about embodying creative truth. But in order to get there, we have to dig deep through the wardrobe holding our innermost expressions and wear those pieces of us with unapologetic confidence! For those of you out there struggling to begin that journey of divine empowerment, Mama Gena is here to prove to you that leaning into your innate self is the perfect guide to getting there. And more importantly, you are the leader of this amazing adventure- so navigate YOUR way! In This Episode: [0:05] The provocative Mama Gena admires the legendary narrative of womankind by revealing face-to-face encounters with adversity that inspired her feminine power! [6:22] Mama Gena shares a story from her book Pussy about fully stepping into her authenticity- and how to hold that space for other women to do so as well. [15:33] Hear Mama Gena dive deep into how women magically inspire the human desire through their own precious wants (and needs). [17:50] Emily shares a beautiful, momentous quote made by Mama Gen herself! [18:52] Regina responds by divulging into the first fundamental steps to tapping into our desires! [23:55] Listen as Gena emphasizes how and why we should center our daily lives around our self-care! [26:09] Gena shares her practices that not only honor her boundaries, but protects her pleasure and aliveness. [31:16] Tune into what Mama has to say about women channeling, authenticating, and connecting to their real selves through experimental expression. [36:35] Mama Gena explains why it's crucial women take their pleasure seriously to maximize its impact on their truth (and other people's as well)! [38:49] Gena explains her experiences with religion and how she navigates their belief systems surrounding sexuality, pleasure, and divine energy. [42:55] How do women express their innate generosity? Mama Gena can count the ways! [43:50] Mama Gean tells us how to begin living a life beyond our wildest dreams by allowing our deepest longings to illuminate our journey there! Quotes: “I would say all really good stories start with women. It starts with a rupture. You know, there is no really great tale of a woman becoming who she is in the world that doesn't start with some kind of profound rupture or difficulty or challenge, like the best stories are made of that.” - Mama Gena “I learned that the goddess lives in the periphery and I got hell bent on finding her.” - Mama Gena “As women, we have so much self criticism that takes the place of our ownership of our feminine majesty and miraculousness. I was just kind of desperate to find a way to live the fullness of who I was as a woman.” - Mama Gena “It was through the discipline of pleasure that I encountered the divine feminine that I'd always been looking for, literally in my own reflection. It's pleasure that allows me to see the goddess in me. [I was like] I've got to tell women about this because it's the greatest, best kept secret of our generation!” - Mama Gen “I wanna say to you dreamers out there: put together your dream team. Have people who see you, who believe in you, who stand for you because it makes all the difference in the world. When you falter and waiver, to have beloved friends say, “You got this kid, you can make this happen. This dream is not too big for you…” that makes all the difference in the world between a woman being able to stand for her truth and stand for her desires.” - Mama Gena “There is no desire that is inconsequential. It is. It's the way we hold hands with the goddess, how the goddess presents herself on this earth through our longings and [through our] desires. So there is no desire that is frivolous or unimportant. Every single one of your desires is so, so precious.” - Mama Gena “When a woman is turned on she's herself, meaning she's more likely to say her truth, stand up for herself, speak, whatever her values contribute. And we [the world] require that like right now, the masculine and the feminine are really at an imbalance.” -Mama Gena “[Generosity is] kinda the nature of women, right? When we find something wonderful, whether it's a great movie or a great show on Netflix or a great recipe, or a great bath oil, the first thing we wanna do is tell all our girlfriends!” - Mama Gena “By surrendering to your deepest longings and desires because your desires will take you places you could not even dream or imagine. And that is the key to really live an unimaginable life, to just tune in to what you most deeply long for. And you will have an ever unfolding, expanding adventure!” -Mama Gena Links & Resources: Follow the I Heart My Life Show on Apple Podcasts https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/i-heart-my-life-show/id1569047758 Subscribe to the I Heart My Life Show on Spotify https://open.spotify.com/show/1Zw6fI37FrfVjZMXlMiZZ6 Connect with Emily: Emily Williams Website https://emilywilliams.com/ Emily on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/emilywilliams/ I Heart My Life Website https://www.iheartmylife.com/ I Heart My Life on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/iheartmylife/ I Heart My Life on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/iheartmylifenow I Heart My Life on LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/company/i-heart-my-life/ Join the IHML community to receive exclusive announcements and tips. https://www.iheartmylife.com/newsletter Email: info@iheartmylife.com Link to Email: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1oASRiDu64aWz1trG9o_OyIhrqn_GZW0mg3MtIF-uPCw/edit
Hey Brave Table fam, and welcome back for another super juicy episode. My guest today is Regena Thomasauer, also known as Mama Gena. She is a teacher, a mama, the New York Times best-selling author of Pussy: A Reclamation, and Founder and CEO of The School of Womanly Arts, which began in her living room in 1998 and has since turned into a global movement. Above all else—Regena believes that women are the greatest untapped natural resource on the entire planet. What you'll get out of this episode… - A brief history of the divine feminine and how we moved from a matriarchy into a patriarchy - Why now is the best time to be living on this planet as a woman - The importance of pleasure in connecting to your deepest desires - The life of the Courtesan, why it was so important, and how the women's movement ended it - Why women need to fill up on pleasure as much as they can and use the lens of pleasure to reach a different paradigm - Tips to practice sensuality and self-pleasure so you can flood your body with feel-good hormones and turn on your radiance - Giving yourself permission to connect with your life force - The art of the turn-on and turning yourself on - Why you should always follow your desires, even when it leads to unexpected places - And much, MUCH more Regena's story starts with childhood abuse. From the time she was 5 years old, she remembers feeling drained, disconnected from herself, and as though she didn't have enthusiasm for the day. She recalls being in her bed and seeing a goddess sitting on the edge of it in her peripheral vision. But every time she would turn to look at it, it would disappear. Regena longed to find her goddess. Later in life, in her 20s, she researched ancient goddess traditions and learned about the matriarchal societies of the past to find out why the feminine was missing in our modern day. Then one day at University, she got an assignment asking her to prepare as if the most important person in the world was coming for a visit (which, turns out, that's you!). As women, we're always taught to take care of our partners, our kids, our parents—but never of ourselves. So with this assignment, Regena pampered herself for the first time... ever. She looked in the mirror in a state of pleasure and finally awakened the inner goddess she had been searching for. This was the moment that would change everything for her, realizing that this goddess is within every woman and that pleasure is the key to revealing it. The reality is that we are witnessing global unhappiness among women right now. 1 in 4 women will experience depression, and only 1 in 5 will seek treatment. There are eating disorders, an alarming level of self-harm, and built-up resentment. Despite all of the gains women have made, we are still a bit lost. But ladies, what if you could reclaim your power by exploring your sensuality and understanding what pleases you—instead of what pleases other people? Your freedom lies in following your desires; that's your life force talking to you. It's time we all find our inner goddess and lead lives of pleasure. This week I share my experience of listening to Regena Thomashauer's book entitled Pussy: A Reclamation. When I put the title into my podcast hosting site, I was notified there was profanity in the title and I might get rejected by some platforms so I took out the 2 s's. I have marked the podcast as being explicit so if you're easily offended, you have been notified. The feminine has been defiled, annihilated and ignored for over 5000 years. Regina Thomashauer, the author of the book, is on a mission to change that and empower women to own their sensuality. When a woman orgasms her body is flooded with nitric oxide which raise her level of consciousness and allows her to view the world with joy. Here then is an exciting path to conscious evolution that is possible with the feminine. Remember, men have the feminine within them as well, and we, as women can help them to tap into that power. But first we must unlock our own. Please rate and review on Apple or Spotify so they will push out the podcast to a wider audience. You can also go to my podcast website at www.consciousevolutionhubpodcast.com and send me a message or request to be on the show. Thank you for your support. It means so much to me! Dawn
Episode 17: Reclaiming Sensuality and Sexuality as a Woman with Lauren Joyce Sex is a realm of mystery, and one that has been historically relegated to the male space. Society has told us that women's sexuality is something that should be used for men but not ourselves. We're constantly told that when we've found someone worth giving ourselves up to can we truly begin living life fully. There's a reflection of sensuality and sexuality in all women, even those who haven't embraced their sex appeal. The problem is that they've been taught that they shouldn't be sexually attractive, they shouldn't act on desires, or that it is wrong to feel sexual pleasure. But this isn't true at all. Sexuality can be part of life for women if their minds are open about it. If you're a woman who wants to reclaim your sensuality and sexuality, you may need to take some time to get in touch with your feelings. Many women notice that they genuinely enjoy their own bodies more when they respect themselves. Understanding that true beauty is not about having the perfect body or fancy clothes paves the way deeper appreciation of yourself. It may also help to view sex as an act of love rather than an act of judgment. When you feel good about who you are, the rest will follow naturally. Lauren Joyce, is a Dating and Relationship Coach and Founder of The Magnetic Woman. She helps woman by teaching them sex, love and lifestyle advice for the modern, successful woman who wants to awaken her feminine power to create an epic life and a passionate partnership. She believed that women have a power to create the life and love of their dreams. Her mission is to empower women to unlock their innate feminine power. Together with Lauren, in this episode, we are going to discuss about how reclaim sensuality and sexuality as female and turn these into an empowering experience that we can imbue with our individual personalities. In this episode, you'll learn: Lauren's journey into becoming a coach How sensuality allows a woman to heal and celebrate her femininity Why is it necessary to reclaim your sensuality What role does your sexual power play in your personal power Why reclaiming your sensuality and sexuality is an ongoing lifelong journey Why you have to live the feminine art and not hide your desires How spirituality and sexuality are deeply linked Resources mentioned: Pussy: A Reclamation by Regena Thomashauer The Magnetic Woman Show Podcast People mentioned in this episode: Regena Thomashauer Learn more about Lauren Joyce: LinkedIn Website Instagram Facebook Community Youtube Get in Touch with me: Website LinkedIn Email

Did I mention I hate tech and fired my editor? LOL! My guest today is Sherysse Morris, a pleasure goddess and a feminine embodiment coach. She and I begin by diving into our love of pussy-the book, of course. Pussy: A Reclamation by Regena Thomashauer unleashed something in both of us and we have both created careers around the theme of the book-pleasure. Sherysse shares how the book helped her embody the feminine after a traumatic upbringing, learning where she feels stress or pleasure in her body. Now she talks to her pussy (her personal GPS and inner knowing) when she makes a decision or asks herself what she desires. And when a "no" comes up, she makes sure it is an EMPOWERED NO...or a delighted expansive YES! Sherysse and I share how our ideas around relationship structure and dreams have evolved over time. She describes the thrill of her new open relationship and I talk about the liberation I have organizing my refrigerator in a non-traditional way. Ok, she might be experiencing more pleasure than I am in this phase of our lives. LOL! Sherysse guides women through a solo goddess journey and encourages them to embody the present moment, rather than worrying needlessly about the future (busted!). She focuses on trusting your inner knowing, surrendering, and the art of giving and receiving pleasure and compliments. Me: "Sherysse, you are a gorgeous goddess."Sherysse: "Thank you, it's true"You can find Sherysse here: sologoddess.comIG @Sheryssemichelle and @thesologoddessPlease reach out or take me up on my free coaching session. We are so conditioned to not know who we are. It's taboo to talk about sex, and pleasure, and heaven forbid you call a penis or vagina by their own names. In this episode, we're talking about how you can break down those walls of shame, and step into the woman you are meant to be. It's more than intimacy with your partner (which of course is amazing and we'll talk about that too!) It's about listening to yourself and allowing that version of yourself that might peek out after a drink or two, to be the leading lady of your life all the time. It's about stepping into your feminine energy that is creative, playful, and loving. Let's not wait to fully live until everyone else we love is taken care of first. It's time to put yourself at the top of that “love list”. 02:00 Why is it that we come out of our shell when we've had a drink or two? 05:30 Letting go of shame and reclaiming who we are! 07:40 It doesn't serve your kids to deplete yourself of all fun and energy. 09:50 Are you waiting for your kids to grow up to start living your life? 12:30 Open up to yourself and embrace the woman you are meant to be! 14:15 Embrace how sexy you are in your own way. 16:20 Break down the walls and allow yourself to be open to your feminine energy. 19:00 What does it feel like to take care of yourself and embrace your sensuality? 21:15 Let's grow together and allow our inner goddesses to shine! In this episode Dr Lee welcomes Sara Chizek, Grief & Sensuality Coach, to talk about pain, pleasure, power, and pussy. Three of those words are more comfortable than the other. So what IS pussy? What does it mean in this context? For so, so many of us, pussy is a “vulgar” word. It's a word we don't use in “polite” company...it's something we've been taught is “dirty”. And because of the stigma around it, women don't understand their bodies, and by extension their emotions -- especially their capacity for pleasure. All of the social programming we've been subject to disconnects us from our emotions and bodies when it comes to pleasure. We're encouraged to cap the limits of our emotions, only acknowledging and experiencing the middle road of joy, rage, and anything in between.Pussy is about permission to let go of everything you've been carrying with you throughout life. Pussy is the ultimate expression of our freedom. This is an episode that you must hear to spark the reclamation of living the most complete and fulfilled life possible. Reclaim your life, your power, your identity by reclaiming your pleasure.---------Sara Chizek is a Grief and Sensuality Coach. After losing her dad when she was 4 and being largely numb to the pain of loss for many years, she learned how to alchemize her pain and turn grief into her superpower. Now, she empowers women to harness the energy of grief, anger, stuckness and turn this energy into joy, pleasure and power to unlock their desires. Sara leads workshops, has an online community and offers private and group coaching. Episode 3 Another biggie! In the second of a two-part series, Sam (host of the Wild River podcast) shares a story that taught her about the importance of allowing yourself to feel emotions, especially ones that you feel ashamed or undeserving of. Sam shares about a series of sexually disempowering experiences she had in college, nearly a decade ago, and the lasting impact these “normal” experiences had on her expression. Sam shares about a subtle but persistent feeling of being unsafe and unable to trust sexually, even within an amazing and supportive relationship, and her belief that there was just something wrong with her. She speaks about finally sharing memories of prior non-consensual sexual experiences she had been reluctant to revisit because she didn't think they were “bad enough” to warrant negative emotions. Sam discusses the difficulty in accepting emotions for experiences that have been normalized by society and explores the toxic culture of consent and drinking present across college campuses. She also shares about the power in reclaiming expression and pleasure, and her refusal to feel ashamed about these experiences or how she feels about them. *** Mentioned on the show: Pussy: A Reclamation by Regena Thomashauer https://mamagenas.com/books/ True Love & Wild Sex Podcast with Dr. Wednesday Martin and Whitney Miller https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/true-sex-wild-love/id1472061802 Website: www.wildriver.live Instagram: @wildriver Once a month, Sam will select a person who left a review during the previous month for a free in-depth human design reading.
