Pride Month is evil, and we must call it what it is. In this episode, we're discussing the spiritual implications of Pride Month, asking hard questions about what it represents—and how believers should respond. We're drawing the connection between pride, identity, and rebellion against God's design for human flourishing. Many Christians feel spiritually drained during this month, and we should. I'm challenging my listeners to love the LGBTQ+ community not with silence or compromise (and certainly not with support) but with truth—the truth that God offers forgiveness, transformation, and eternal life to all who repent and follow Christ. We must hate sin while praying for our enemies. Our culture desperately needs more holiness, conviction, and compassion rooted in the gospel, which is telling those around us the truth.—https://www.thebrandsunday.com/products/the-bible-study-physical?srsltid=AfmBOoqBR_MWE2-fkYXYHCn80nZtEct4ixmRGrXZSrgIn5HP_tBc9Mcy
Divorce is not just a personal decision, it's actually a spiritual health crisis. And it's unfortunately rampant in society today. In this episode, I'm calling it what it really is: sin. God literally says in Scripture, “I hate divorce” (Malachi 2:16), yet our culture treats it like a self-care strategy. Christians are increasingly justifying what the Bible clearly condemns. Let's be clear: marriage is a covenant and walking away from it without biblical grounds is rebellion against God.Even with biblical grounds to divorce (such as in cases of abandonment or sexual immorality) God still prefers there be genuine repentance and genuine forgiveness. Meaning, no matter how "bad" it allegedly gets, God still suggests true apologies and true absolution. He wants that instead of bitterness and separation. Also, everyone seems to conveniently be forgetting about how divorce impacts the children. That is very wicked to not consider how it affects them.People have come at me with rudeness, bitterness, and every excuse under the sun as to why they "had to" get divorced, but none of that will stop me from speaking the truth. You did not "have to" get divorced. Not most of you. I'm not here to please people. I'm here to honor God and uphold what His Word says, even when it's uncomfortable or "comes off mean." Unfriendly reminder: I win every single battle and every single war because I fight on the side of righteousness, and you probably don't. Tune in as we break down the lies, the "justifications" and the tragic consequences of treating divorce like an option instead of the absolute last resort.Marriage is a holy covenant between one man, one woman, and God.Hope this helps!--https://policecoffee.com/collections/coffee
Something unusual is happening—moms across America are rising up as spiritual warriors, leading the charge to protect our kids and push back against darkness. In this episode, I dive into why this matters now more than ever—and yes, I even share jaw-dropping intel about the Pope's brother that ties directly into the spiritual battle we're in. From activist judges to Antifa chaos, we're connecting the dots behind the scenes—this is one you don't want to miss.

Episode SummaryIn this powerful continuation of his series on The Believer's Authority, Dr. Jim Van Gelderen shares how believers can experience real victory over Satan—not by personal strength, but by being fully submitted to Christ. Reflecting on the recent passing of his prayer-warrior mother-in-law, Dr. Van Gelderen weaves together personal testimony, scriptural truth, and vivid illustrations to show how spiritual authority flows from surrender. When you're under Christ's authority, you stand over the enemy—and he must flee.Topics DiscussedRemembering Janet Cross and her legacy of prayer and faithWhat it means to be “in Christ” and seated in heavenly places (Ephesians 1–2)Christ's victory over Satan and the believer's shared triumphJames 4:7 and the conditions for resisting the devilDelegated authority illustrated with a traffic cop and a mother's commandWhy praying “in Jesus' name” is more than a phraseResisting Satan's influence in weather, illness, and other real-life situationsTotal surrender and total dependence as the foundation for authorityKey TakeawaysSpiritual authority is not earned through strength, but accessed through submission.Christ's victory over Satan is final, and believers share in that authority when yielded to Him.Praying “in Jesus' name” means aligning with His will and authority, not just using a phrase. We must not be passive in the spiritual battle; resisting Satan is an active responsibility.Whether facing external circumstances or internal battles, the path to victory is the same: under authority, over the enemy. Today, we're having a conversation that will challenge what you think you know about the devil, evil, temptation, and spiritual warfare. Jared Brock is back with us - if you remember our last incredible conversation about Jesus, where we unpacked the human life of Christ and the political imagination of his time, you know Jared brings profound theological insights that challenge our perceptions. This time, we're exploring a figure who's been misunderstood, mythologized, and frankly, given way too much credit: the devil. Who is he really? What's his actual role in the cosmic story of redemption? Jared's new book, "A Devil Named Lucifer," promises to right-size our understanding - minimizing the devil and magnifying the true King. If you're ready to see spiritual reality through a lens of hope, kingdom advancement, and radical trust in God's ultimate victory, then this episode is for you. So join us as we right-size the devil. Jared Brock is an award-winning author and director of several films including PBS's acclaimed Redeeming Uncle Tom with Danny Glover. His writing has appeared in Christianity Today, The Guardian, Smithsonian, USA Today, Huffington Post, Relevant, and TIME. DateFebruary 9, 2025SynopsisIn this sermon, we explore what it means to be fully alive to God's world through the lens of Howard Thurman's teachings and the courageous story of two Hebrew midwives. We discover that transformative change often begins with small acts of faithful resistance, whether it's a stranger's $2 gift or midwives choosing life over empire. The core message is radically hopeful: we each have a unique role in God's restoration of the world, and our calling isn't to do everything, but to do what makes us come alive. When we root ourselves in divine love and step into our authentic purpose, we join a larger story of liberation and justice.ReferencesScripture: Exodus 1:8–22About The Local ChurchFor more information about The Local Church, visit our website. Spiritual initiation cycles often bring up a lot of resistance. You've probably experienced this: initiations can be uncomfortable, confronting, challenging and triggering. But, as Michelle and Katherine discuss in this powerful episode, “resistance is fertile.” Resistance shows us where there is potent energy available for transformation, and when we understand and work with resistance, it can help catapult us forward into the next cycle. Join the Shaman Sisters for a very real look at resistance through initiation cycles (and get a peek behind the scenes at some on-air epiphanies as they discuss their own resistance experiences).
Certain things are useful, even vital, to carry wherever you go. For health of the body, a rubber resistance band in your travel bag will enable you to do a myriad of exercises on the road with no need for a gym or equipment. For emotional health and for instant stress relief, there's something you should carry around in your mind and heart - the spiritual resistance band.
Dr. Randy Davis, pastor of Zion Word Church USA, preaches about the church being spiritually resistant. Do you resist the the Word of God? Do you resist the presence of the Spirit of God? Dr. Davis encourages the church to stop being carnally minded, spiritually resistant, and to be spiritually minded in every aspect of their lives.
Early-stage abortions are legal in Thailand, but many doctors and nurses there refuse to do them.
Dr. Randy Davis preaches on how believers can become resistant to the Spirit of God. If you do not pray and seek the Lord and hunger and thirst after Him you are resisting Him and His Voice. Are you spiritually resistant? You must answer that question yourself.

The Ego Many times spiritual seekers put themselves inadvertently in conflict with themselves. The ego is an example of this. Many feel that the ego must be conquered or supressed or even completely disregarded or ignored. As though, for some reason, the ego was a mistake and we have to do all we can to ignore or overlook or disown it. The ego is not a mistake, it is not a hindrance, it is not a curse, the ego is our life's curriculum of ‘doing' for the expansion of our ‘being'. The ego is actually probably the most important aspect of us in this life and it is an absolutely awesome design. It tells the story of how we think about ourselves and our universe. Everything is mirrored in our ego. >>>

Resistance It turns out that we do not so much have to search for change but let go of our resistance to it. You see, change is a constant. It is natural. There is a flow to our evolution. It is always there, the more we resist it, the more difficult our lives become. There is a natural flow and a natural pace to that change. Our impatience is another form of resistance, telling the universe it is too slow or too fast and it is not to be trusted.
