Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship for a two-part look at parsha "Vayera," Genesis chapters 18 through 22) and the central part of the story of the first Patriarch, Abraham, from his storied 'dickering' with YHVH Himself concerning the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, to the 'binding of Isaac,' known as 'the Akieda,' that prefigures another parallel act on that very same spot, many centuries later. It is perhaps THE "Biblical-level" Act of Faith. Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship for a two-part look at parsha "Lech Lecha," Genesis 12:1-`7:27) -- which might be considered the original "come out" teaching in Scripture -- where the first Patriarch, Abram (later Abraham) is told to "get thee OUT" of your country, leave what you have known, and "go to the land that I will show you." It's a historic, literally "Biblical-level" Act of Faith. But that is where the story of the life of one of the most important men in Scripture, and the 'Father of our Faith," only begins. Here's the Erev Shabbat reading: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/SSM-10-31-25-Lech-Lecha-teaching-podcast-xxx.mp3 This parsha lays out several truly 'fundamental' elements. One, referenced often in the Apostolic Writings (aka 'Old' Testament) is that the man re-named Abraham in this story "believed YHVH," and his actions repeatedly made that clear, and He "counted it to him for righteousness." (Genesis 15:6, referenced by Paul/Shaul in Romans 4.) Mark begins the Sabbath midrash with what some might consider a surprising understanding, given that is counter to what many may have heard, as he notes, "twisted," and it lies at the heart of this story: Galatians has been taught "backwards." What does Hagar, 'the Egyptian,' represent? And if Paul, as he said, wrote to the former pagans in Galatia that he was worried that they were already "turning away" from that faith demonstrated by Abraham to the "weak and beggarly elements" from which they had been delivered, what does that mean? And, ultimately, just who is the 'son of the bondwoman'? Once you see through the lies we have been fed - "inherited from our fathers" (some more literally than others) - it will be unseen. Please share this one if you find it valuable. "Lech Lecha: Twistings - from THAT 'sign' to the Real 'Son of the Bondwoman'" https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/WT-CooH-11-1-25-Lech-Lecha-Who-is-the-real-son-of-the-Egyptian-Bondwoman-podcast-xxx.mp3 The combined two-part reading and Sabbath midrash:
Parsha "Noach" (Genesis 6:9-11:32) is actually the second, and concluding part of the story of the "days of Noah," and is the reading that contains the most well-known (and also sometimes LEAST known!) elements of the story of The Flood. But there's more, too, because it also includes the "Tower of Babel," and the intro to the first of the Patriarchs. https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/SSM-10-24-25-Noach-teaching-podcast-xxx.mp3 Mark begins the Sabbath midrash with the observation that the 'days of Noah' spanned not only the time prior to the Flood when "the thoughts of men's hearts was only evil continually," but also many years thereafter, and certainly through the time of Nimrod, and up to the story of Babel. And that is particularly key when it comes to understanding the somewhat enigmatic story of His 'confounding the language' to deliberately ensure that mankind is NOT "one people," and NOT able to 'work together for the common good.' The fact that so much of today's 'One World' propaganda pushes exactly that goal should be concerning, at minimum, given that YHVH explained His concern by saying the reason for His actions was that once they learned to work together, and seemingly plot to thwart His potential plans, "THIS is what they begin to do." "Noach: Maybe 'coexist' is NOT the best motto - then or now" https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/WT-CooH-10-25-25-Noach-Am-Echad-And-THIS-is-What-they-Begin-to-DO-podcast-xxx.mp3 The combined two-part reading and Sabbath midrash:
Parsha "Bereshiet" (Genesis 1, through 6:8) is the first reading in the new cycle of the Torah, from "in the Beginning" to the first part of the "days of Noah." And as Mark Call, of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship, noted last week, it's just too much to try and cover responsibly in just one week. And since the interesting of reading from the last parsha, at the end of Deuteronomy straight through into the first Book, since we never really finish our study of His Instruction, means we read and studied into the first few chapters of Genesis/Bereshiet last week, Mark did exactly that, and spent some time on the first three chapters then. So, this week, after a brief recap of the story of the 'nacash' and Eve/Chava's deception in chapter 3, and the "first two lies", the Erev Shabbat story and reading picks up there: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/SSM-10-18-25-Bereshiet-continued-teaching-podcast-xxx.mp3 Even beyond the First Two Lies, is the one that actually is NOT in Scripture, but does permeate the Whore Church: That "jesus did away with the Law," "nailed it to the cross," and somehow did what the Real Messiah promised repeated He would NOT. The Sabbath Day midrash is all about the EFFECTS of those "Big Lies," especially in the presence of the level of Evil seen then - "as it was in the Days of Noach" - and again, now. Are we there yet? What can we now begin to see that looks like? And the repeated and urgent message is "see that you are not deceived!" Mark takes another look at the progression, the prophecy of Matthew 24, and where the Big Lies may lead next. It's time to not only 'connect some dots,' but even extrapolate a bit. https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/WT-CooH-10-18-25-Bereshiet-pt-2-See-That-You-are-NOT-Deceived-podcast-xxx.mp3 The combined two-part reading and Sabbath midrash:

Parsha "V'zot HaBerakhah" (Deuteronomy (chapter 33 through the End of the Book, and the entire Torah) is the final reading in this cycle, and the life of Moses. The Erev Shabbat reading begins there: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/SSM-10-10-25-V-zot-HaBerakhah-teaching-podcast-xx.mp3 This Sabbath Day midrash comes during the week of Sukkot, or the Feast of Tabernacles -- not only the actual time of the birth of the Messiah, but the heart of the yet-to-be-fulfilled prophecies of the Greater Exodus, the Revelation, and the Wedding Feast. It's also when the annual Torah cycle readings conclude, and begin again. V'zot HaBerakhah: This is the Blessing - the Cycle Begins Anew https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/WT-CooH-10-11-25-V-zot-HaBerakhah-cycles-into-Bereshiet-podcast-xxx.mp3 The combined two-part reading and Sabbath midrash:
Parsha "Ha'azinu" (Deuteronomy (chapter 32) is the second-to-last reading in the Torah, and the life of Moses. It is, specifically, the second "Song of Moses," that he sings, as a "witness against" them, and us, immediately prior to his death. It's also a warning that hits as close to home now as it ever has. The Erev Shabbat reading begins there: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/SSM-10-3-25-Ha-azinu-teaching-podcast-xx.mp3 This Sabbath Day midrash comes just after the 'most holy' day of the year, Yom Kippur, and right before the final, climactic week of the Fall Feasts, the time of Sukkot, aka the Feast of Tabernacles, or booths, or even 'mangers.' Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa notes that the confluence of this reading, and the Song of Moses, at this time at the heart of the Fall Feasts should suggest two major admonitions from Scripture: "Know the times and the seasons," and that, furthermore, "NOW is the time!" Sukkot is almost certainly the time when the Messiah, Yahushuah, was actually born. But how many of us have heard, "I don't care - I love Xmas anyway," and similar excuses for accepting what we "know or should know" is a lie. Is this the year to stand on Truth? We also know, or should, that the word "jesus" never even existed until about 16 centuries as the Messiah walked the earth after that birth. No one EVER, not once, called Him by that name. And it thus cannot be (Acts 4) the "only name" by which we can be saved. Does that matter? Most of us have again heard, "I don't care," or "what difference does it really make?" So, if His birthday doesn't really matter, nor does His real Name, what about His Doctrine? Did He "do away with the law," or is that - as Mark strongly suggests - perhaps the Biggest Lie in all of human history? Does His Doctrine matter? Did He change it? Did He really change His Instruction about His moedim [appointed times], His Sabbaths, food, money, marriage - and just about anything else men decided they didn't like from His Word? Ha'azinu: When Does it Finally START to Matter? https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/WT-CooH-10-4-25-Ha-azinu-WHEN-Does-it-Start-to-Matter-podcast-xx-1.mp3 The combined two-part reading and Sabbath midrash:
Parsha "Vayelekh" (Deuteronomy (chapter 31) is one of the final chapters in the Torah, and the life of Moses. It includes the 'charge' given to Yoshua/Joshua as he prepares to take over leadership of the mixed multitude, to "Kazakh!" - or, "Be strong, and of good courage." It's also a poignant warning about the "End of Days" - arguably, now. The Erev Shabbat reading begins there, and also sets the stage for the final "Song of Moses": https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/SSM-9-26-25-VaYelek-teaching-podcast-xxx.mp3 During the Sabbath Day midrash, Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa focuses on a prophecy that now seems to be at minimum, 'in-progress': "You will do evil in the sight of YHVH, and provoke Him through the work of your hands." But it is no coincidence that this portion is read during the time of His Fall Feasts, and we are now - or should be - preparing for the singular moed of His Appointed Times about which He warns so clearly, do it - or else! Warning: Some will again be offended. They will say His Feasts are 'old', and "done away with." As if He preferred the pagan replacements, and couldn't manage to say so. YHVH certainly made the reason for His anger, and our continued exile, abundantly clear. And in this case, the warning and importance could not be clearer. Even if we have been lied to about it! Vayelekh: This is the Year to Make SURE you 'Know the Season' https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/WT-CooH-9-27-25-VaYelek-The-SEASON-is-Vital-to-Know-and-DO-podcast-xxx.mp3 The combined two-part reading and Sabbath midrash:
Parsha "Nitzavim" (Deuteronomy (29:9-thru chapter 30) is the parsha that Mark Call almost always says is not only a vital, undeniable, and not-yet-fulfilled, prophecy of our future, but contains the most succinct two-word summary of His Torah in the Bible. And it begins with that enigmatic introduction, "Nitzavim," or "you are standing" - all of you, THIS DAY, before YHVH your El... ...and here we are now, THIS DAY (ha yom) doing exactly that - again. The Erev Shabbat reading begins there, and the specifics, to set the stage: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/SSM-9-19-25-Nitzavim-teaching-podcast-xxx.mp3 During the Sabbath Day midrash, Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa begins with a theme that has been on many of our minds this last week or two, and the phrase "doctrines of demons," from Paul's first letter to Timothy, 4:1. It is certainly encouraging that Charlie's execution/martyrdom has encouraged many people to look at his lifetime body of work, and his testimony for faith in the Living Elohim. No doubt many - particularly young and college-aged people - are considering a 'turn' toward the teachings of Scripture. And yet, Mark suggests, the popular reaction of just "go back to church," is but a pitiful small step in what might be the right direction. After all, many LEFT 'the church' because of it's demonstrated, Scripturally-condemned, failure to "teach my people the difference," between the holy and profane, clean and unclean. Simply returning to what already failed, and got us here, is not a real solution. And yet, Deuteronomy 30 gives us both a clear razor for Truth, and a bold promise of why we MUST turn! Warning: Some will be offended. YHVH certainly made the reason for His anger, and our continued exile, abundantly clear. But so is the Promise. Nitzavim: BOTH The Blessing AND the Curse https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/WT-CooH-9-20-25-Nitzavim-BOTH-the-Blessing-and-the-Curse-RE-turn-podcast-xxx.mp3 The combined two-part reading and Sabbath midrash:
Parsha "Ki Tavo" (Deuteronomy (26:1-29:8) is almost certainly the most famous, and foreboding, set of blessings and cursings in the Bible. But, notably, it begins with "when you have come into the land," and a set of instructions, such as the 'Bikkurim' or offerings of First Fruits, that are to take place there. But we remain in exile, have been "shalach"-ed for cause. So what does that mean about those curses? The Erev Shabbat reading begins there, and the specifics, to set the state: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/SSM-9-12-25-Ki-Tavo-teaching-podcast-xxx.mp3 During the Sabbath Day midrash, Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa addresses exactly that question. But it begins with an observation: The plagues are certainly - undeniably - "well deserved," not just by the US, but the world. And many, at least, already seem to be in progress. Yet we are told, repeatedly, in Scripture, to "have no fellowship," with the unfruitful works of darkness. To "flee from idolatry." And not to 'keep company' with, or even eat with, the kind of people who commit the kind of perversions we routinely see promoted on CNN. Or taught in the public 'schools.' Mark argues that we have been told to "come out of her," to not participate with those sins, so as to - hopefully - avoid the promised plagues. The prophet Amos tells us that, unless they are agreed, it's difficult for two people to "walk together." And we saw this week there are, unquestionably, a large demonic army of people with whom reasoned dialogue, discourse, debate, and now arguably even peaceful coexistence have been demonstrated to be impossible. So, do those plagues in Deuteronomy 28 still apply? Or not? Isn't it relevant that the FIRST three plagues in Egypt hit everyone? But, during the fourth, of flies, YHVH "put a difference," made a distinction, between the pagan Egyptians and His people? The promised plagues are here, and we're already in exile. So what now? Ki Tavo: The Plagues are OPTIONAL https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/WT-CooH-9-13-25-Ki-Tavo-Plagues-are-OPTIONAL-podcast-xxxx.mp3 The combined two-part reading and Sabbath midrash:
Parsha "Ki Tetzi" ("When you go forth" - to battle) -- Deuteronomy 16:18-21:9) begins with another VERY 'politically IN-correct' prescription. Which tells us, right up front, why this is one worth paying attention to. Because we've been told it "doesn't matter" any more, is "done away with," or worse. Lied to about, in other words. The Erev Shabbat reading begins there, and includes what amounts to a great summary of just why that is: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/SSM-9-5-25-Ki-Tetzi-teaching-podcast-xxx.mp3 During the Sabbath Day midrash, Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa explains why "miscellaneous mitzvot," or commandments, are nothing of the sort. They're certainly not "done away with," but the fact that so many are SO 'politically-INcorrect' speaks volumes about a world jonesin' fer judgment. But what really stands out in THIS environment, today, is that they are intended for human beings, created in His image. Not corporations, and not "AI," or any other creation of mere men. Ki Tetzi: Miscellaneous Mitzvot - Not 'PC' - Not 'done away with' - but FOR HUMANS https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/WT-CooH-9-6-25-Ki-Tetzi-Misc-Mitzvot-for-HUMANS-not-corporate-creations-podcast-xxxx.mp3 The combined two-part reading and Sabbath midrash:
Parsha "Shoftim" (Deuteronomy 16:18 - 21:9) may be the most utterly "timely" commentary on the World Today, and what is so UTTERLY WRONG -- given events of the last week -- that we could ask for. Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship contends in this week's reading and midrash that the totality of the major themes in this one -- from 'REAL judges' as opposed to 'black-robed priests of Satan,' to the plague of liars being "perverted witness" (and lying in oaths), to 'false prophets', to what it means to "put away the Evil from among you," and what happens when society not only FAILS to do so, but promotes that evil. If there was ever a parsha that helps clarify what it must mean to "come out of her," and why it is now a matter of life and death - this is it! The Erev Shabbat reading begins there, and includes what amounts to a great summary of just why that is: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/SSM-8-29-25-Shoftim-teaching-podcast-xxx.mp3 We have seen in the last few portions the more than one admonition against idolatry, including "don't even bring the idol into your house." We have seen why He prescribes a death penalty for idolatry. And this week, both in the news, and in the Bible, we have seen what happens when that Evil among is is not exterminated, but subsidized, taught, and even mandated in the Whore Church and public cesspools. There are a myriad of important themes in here. But, ultimately, they all relate to just one: 'They' HATE YHVH. Shoftim: "REAL Judges, Real Men, Fake gods, and Extermination of the Evil from Among You" https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/WT-CooH-8-30-25-Shoftim-Put-away-the-Evil-podcast-xxxx.mp3 The combined two-part reading and Sabbath midrash:
Parsha "Re'eh" (for "See!,"Behold!," or even "Check it out" -- Deuteronomy 11:26-16:18) begins with a blessing, and a curse. And, as Mark points out up front, the fact that even the significance of the distinction there is so often missed is a major indicator of why there is "no power in the [modern] 'church'." The Erev Shabbat reading begins there, and includes what amounts to a great summary of just why that is: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/SSM-8-22-25-Re-eh-teaching-podcast-xxx.mp3 Last week, the parsha told us, "Do not even bring an abomination into your house," lest you be accursed like it. This week, the admonition is to utterly destroy anything and everything associated with them. And as for false prophets, who try to get us to serve those fakes? Scripture prescribes -- in no uncertain terms -- a death penalty. How is it that a 'church' which claims to worship 'him' has fallen into exactly that trap? During the Sabbath Day midrash, Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa answers that question, as He does. And as for -- Re'eh: "Other gods not known to you? " ...now they're taught in 'sun-god day' school. Even though the idolatry is soft-pedaled. It is a fact that, once seen, cannot be un-seen. But it certainly must not be ignored. https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/WT-CooH-8-23-25-Re-eh-Other-gods-you-have-not-known-but-They-DO-NOW-podcast-xxx.mp3 The combined two-part reading and Sabbath midrash:
Parsha "Ekev" (for "Because," or "it follows," Deuteronomy 7:11-11:25) is, first, a set of promises that follows BECAUSE, or as a result, of the fact that we are to hear and obey His commandments. And as such, it's also a contrast with what we see taught today. The Erev Shabbat reading includes that, and more: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/SSM-8-15-25-Ekev-teaching-podcast-xxx.mp3 During the Sabbath Day midrash, Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa muses about the 'giants' (Rephaim, Anakim, Zamzuzim, et al) that Moses warned the mixed multitude they would deal with in the land. And HOW, since they were promised to prevail. They were big and scary, but just how intelligent were they? Arguably, perhaps more so than we might think. The theme again has idolatry at heart, and His hatred of it. "Do not even bring an abomination into your house," lest you be accursed like it. Could it be that He is also talking about the newly created AI gods, made of a different form of stone -- silicon? But the lesson is the same, although the threat is greater. Ekev: "Big Scary Giants - Then and Now...But were they Smart, too?" https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/WT-CooH-8-16-25-Ekev-Big-Scary-Giants-and-ASI-too-podcast-xxx.mp3 The combined two-part reading and Sabbath midrash:
Parsha "Vaetchanan" (for "And I pleaded," Deuteronomy 3:23 - 7:11) is arguably THE portion that contains some of the most important "statutes and commandments" in the Bible. Not only "the Ten," but also the one known often simply as "The Shema," for the first word, and the fact that Yahushua called it the Greatest Commandment of all, 'Hear, O Isreal...YHVH Elohenu, YHVH Echad." And you shall YHVH with "all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might." The Erev Shabbat reading includes that, and more: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/SSM-8-8-25-Vaetchanan-teaching-podcast-xxx.mp3 During the Sabbath Day midrash, Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship suggests that there are several elements in the 'theme' of this parsha that are not only central to our understanding, but also must serve as a basis for some of the most important questions - and the tests that will answer them! - that explain what has gone wrong with a nation, and a world, that has not only forgotten Him - but apparently HATES Him. And they are fundamental to what we must 'come out of,' and thus Who we serve. This portion is, at least in part, about idolatry, and certainly obedience to His "statues, judgments, and commandments." And He says THREE TIMES, in this parsha alone, that He is the 'Jealous God,' literally, "El Kana." There is an important connection in that theme. And Mark suggest that He has told us EXACTLY what we need to know in order to "rightly divide the Word," and discern the difference between the fake and the Real. Vaetchanan: "A Jealous El Kana - don't Add To, or Subtract From" https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/WT-CooH-8-9-25-Vaetchanan-El-Kana-NO-Adding-to-or-Subtracting-Frm-podcast-xxxx.mp3 The combined two-part reading and Sabbath midrash:
This week, Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship does a somewhat different combination of the recent 'double-parsha,' and combines the end of the Book of Numbers (Masei, Numbers 33 through the end of the Book) with the first parsha, Debarim (Deuteronomy/Debarim 1 through 3:22) in the final Book of the Torah, of that same name. Both have to do with a bit of a recap, as the children of Israel begin to - finally - complete their 40 years b'midbar - in the wilderness - and prepare to enter the land. And Debarim is vital, and different in many ways, from the rest of the Torah. In large measure, it is not only the last chapter of Moses' life, but his 'farewell address.' And, as Mark never misses pointing out, it is THE most quoted Book by the American Founders during the entire Revolutionary Era. And fundamental to the 'English - and then American - Common Law.' The Erev Shabbat summary and reading of the text: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/SSM-8-1-25-Masei-Debarim-teaching-podcast-xxx.mp3 Why does Moses' recap take the form it does, and why is it so relevant today? It begins with a poignant reminder: "It is [only!] eleven days journey," from where they started, to where they were. But it took forty years, and every male, save the two, of fighting age died along the way. Moses knows he is about to die, and he knows what is coming for the sons of Israel: War. They must take the land. But other major change is at hand as well. They sandals didn't wear out - year after year. They didn't have to plant or harvest food; manna was there for them without fail. All of that will soon be over. And the 'giants' that so terrified their fathers? They were there, and YHVH led them to battle, and those "mighty men" fell before them. We, too, are facing what look like major, perhaps earth-shattering, change. And giants? They're still out there, and those who fail to "Trust in YHVH," have more reason to be terrified than ever. Masei-Debarim: "Moshe's Recap - Major Changes, and Giants - Then, and Now" https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/WT-CooH-8-2-25-Masei-Debarim-Why-the-Recap-MAJOR-changes-coming-Then-and-Now-Giants-xxx.mp3 The combined two-part reading and Sabbath midrash:
This week's annual cycle Torah reading is parsha "Pinchas," Numbers 30:2 through chapter 32) and - in part at least - it wraps up one of the mysteries in the Torah, how can a people so blessed of YHVH fall so quickly into idolatry, and beset by 'plague?' But there is far more, and the issue of "vows" literally envelops the narrative. As it still does today. The Erev Shabbat reading: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/SSM-7-25-25-Matot-teaching-podcast-xxx.mp3 The Sabbath Day midrash is at attempt to connect a collection of dots that range from broken vows and lying prophets to bioweaponry and ELE asteroid impacts. The prophet Bilaam really wanted to curse the mixed multitude of Israel, but was explicitly forbidden to do so, on pain of death - as he learned "the hard way." Only "the word that Elohim puts in my mouth, that I shall speak." And yet, like so many ancient popes and modern traitors in politics, he thought he was smarter than God Himself, and could find a "workaround." It cost him. Today we don't have a Moses to "hang 'em high," or a Pinchas to literally run them through, 'en flagrante delecto,' with a spear. Which only makes the potential consequences all the more deadly. And imminent. "Matot: From Vows and Oaths to Lying Prophets and then Treason - to Plagues and Planet X" https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/WT-CooH-7-26-25-Matot-Broken-Vows-Lying-Prophets-Treason-and-Planet-X-podcast-xxx.mp3 The combined two-part reading and Sabbath midrash:
This week's annual cycle Torah reading is parsha "Pinchas," Numbers 25:10-30:1) and it contains what is sometimes perhaps one of the most perplexing stories in the Torah, that of the cohen or priest Pinchas, who runs through two open idolators with a spear, and is awarded the eternal "Covenant of Peace (Shalom)" by YHVH Himself for the effort. The Erev Shabbat reading: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/SSM-7-18-25-Pinchas-teaching-podcast-xxx.mp3 The Sabbath Day midrash is all about the 'apparent' contradiction. Actually, contradictions, plural: How can a man be given that eternal Covenant of Shalom for what some might call "murder"? And, given the context, and history, this is also a man who is often thought to be a "type and shadow" of the then-coming Messiah Himself. Can Pinchas somehow be a role model? And what are the parameters, the indications, for anyone else to do anything of the sort? No wonder it's been called "problematic." And yet the story is undeniable. The connections to the prophet Eliyahu, or Elijah, who was also notably "zealous" (the Hebrew word is the same, as Mark points out) for YHVH are dramatic, and referenced in both the haftorah selection, and even Paul's commentary in Romans 11. And Eliyahu, too, had a hand in the deaths of SO many pagan "priests of Baal." How do we connect these dots? "Pinchas: Yahuah's Covenant of Peace - at the Point of a Spear" https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/WT-CooH-7-19-25-Pinchas-Covenant-of-Peace-at-the-Point-of-a-Spear-podcast-xxx.mp3 The combined two-part reading and Sabbath midrash:
This week's annual Torah cycle reading is parsha "Chukat," (Numbers 22:2-25:9) and represents a unique shift from the story of the mixed multitude "in the wilderness" to that of a pagan king who - much like Pharoah before the Exodus - is afraid of the people now lead by Moses. And it's a story that is part comedy, part prophecy, and a large part Today's Headlines. The Erev Shabbat reading: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/SSM-7-11-25-Balak-teaching-podcast-xxx.mp3 The Sabbath Day midrash begins where the story leaves off. Can a nation once undeniably blessed manage to curse itself? Balak: "How did an ancient pagan prophet tell us about TODAY's plague?" https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/WT-CooH-7-11-25-Balak-Modern-day-AI-Bilaam-and-Midianite-Epstein-parallels-podcast-xxx.mp3 The combined two-part reading and Sabbath midrash:
The annual cycle Torah reading for this week is parsha "Chukat," Numbers chapters 19 through 21) and it contains what is sometimes called the most enigmatic "chuq" (or, "do this because He says so") in the Torah: the Red Heiffer, or parah adumah. Even Solomon is thought to have said he just didn't quite get it. The Erev Shabbat reading: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/SSM-7-4-25-Chukat-teaching-podcast-xxx.mp3 The Sabbath Day midrash tackles that Greatest Mystery head on. But, even more interesting, what might be the SECOND most mysterious 'chuq' in the Torah is in this same parsha! The "bronze serpent" (but the Hebrew term is much more alliterative: 'nachash nachoshet') - aka the 'snake on a stick.' There is a common thread that runs through this entire portion, too. Actually, several, but all evidently related: Death. And some important numbers. And water, in multiple ways, and 'salvation.' But still one more that Mark suggests, which may even help explain some of the confusion, is "I blame Moses." Chukat: "From the Red Heifer to the Snake-on-a-Stick -- I blame Moses" https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/WT-CooH-7-5-25-Chukat-Red-Heiffers-Snakes-on-a-Stick-and-another-jesus-water-life-death-I-blame-Moshe-podcast-xxx.mp3 The combined two-part reading and Sabbath midrash:
Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa Fellowship for a two-part study of the Torah parsha reading for this week, is "Korach," (Numbers chapters 16 through 18) and the infamous rebellion which bears that name. The Erev Shabbat reading: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/WT-CooH-6-27-25-Korach-Rebellion-teaching-podcast-xx.mp3 By now, perhaps it should be no surprise that Scripture sets the stage for events in the world. And, "rightly divided," also reveals when passages have been "twisted," or even inverted to suit the 'prince of this world, and his big-brother servants. The story of Korach is about a rebellion. To Moses, specifically, but certainly to YHVH as well. And the story proves that point conclusively. But, still, Korach: "This was MOSES, fer cryin' out loud!" Aren't there more subtle issues when the question of 'rebellion' isn't so clear-cut, and when it's not so blatantly obvious that the rebellion is against His anointed? Israel, after all, has had bad kings, who "did evil in the sight of YHVH." Yet, most still claim to be doing "God's work," but it just may not be obvious which 'god.' Is there a way to be sure? https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/WT-CooH-6-28-25-Korach-Rebellion-This-was-MOSES-fer-cryin-out-loud-podcast-xxx.mp3 The combined two-part reading and Sabbath midrash:
The Torah parsha reading for this week is "Shalach Lekha," (Numbers chapters 13 through 15) -- "send out men" --8:1-12:16), and it is the infamous story of 'the spies.' Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship begins with the Erev Shabbat reading: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/SSM-6-20-25-Shalach-Lekha-teaching-podcast-xxx.mp3 And once again, and ESPECIALLY now, events in the world again set the stage for the midrash this week. Mark relates that he believes the title was given to him just this morning, in two suggestions: "Spies Who Lie," "and...Die." The 'twelve spies' who went into the land in Numbers chapter 13 brought back an 'evil report,' and literally all of the congregation of the children of Israel suffered for it. What they really did, says the witness of Scripture, was to "despise" Yahuah Himself. Today's spies have the ear of world leaders, including the President of the United States. At least 51 knowingly lied to the American people, participated in an attempted (and at least temporarily successful) coup, and arguably STILL despise the God of the Bible. And that is the part that remains so clearly evident today as well. The question remains the same , too: Who will we believe? Shalach Lekha: "Spies Who Lie...and Die," https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/WT-CooH-6-21-25-Shalach-Lekha-Spies-Who-Lie-and-DIE-podcast-xxx.mp3 The combined two-part reading and Sabbath midrash:
The annual Torah cycle reading for this week is parsha "Beha'alotecha," (Numbers 8:1-12:16), and it is a true potpourri of events and issues, "from menorah to metzorah." Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship begins with the Erev Shabbat reading: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/SSM-6-13-25-Beha-alotecha-teaching-podcast-xxx.mp3 As has been so often the case, but ESPECIALLY now, events in the world again set the stage for the midrash this week. Have you ever noticed that there is a difference in the words used in rendering "do not covet..." your neighbors' wife, house, and so on between the two repetitions of the "Ten Commandments?" The words used for 'covet," or "lust for," are different (the Hebrew root is ;chamad'the first time, but 'avah' in Deuteronomy 5:21.) And THAT word is used for those who died b'midbar - in the wilderness - as a result of their lusting for 'meat.' The connection, as Mark lays out, may well be that so many today are literally "lusting for death." And it is a 'temptation' that YHVH has given us all the information we need to avoid, along with a means to escape. Beha'alotecha: "From Menorah to Metzorah then - Lusting for DEATH now" https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/WT-CooH-14-June-2025-Beha-alotecha-From-Menorah-to-Meztorah-careful-what-you-LUST-for-esp-NOW-podcast-xxx.mp3 The combined two-part reading and Sabbath midrash:
Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship for a two-part look at the second reading from the Book of Bemidbar, or Numbers, parsha "Naso" (Numbers 4:21 through all of chapter 7.) The Erev Shabbat reading begins with the 'head count' of the families which make up the tribe of Levi, through the process for the 'sota', or woman who is SUSPECTED of adultery, through the Nazerite vow, and then the longest, and most redundant, and thus 'perplexing' chapter in the Torah: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/SSM-6-6-25-Naso-teaching-podcast-xx.mp3 Since Mark has talked about the 'cup' placed in the hand of the woman suspected of adultery often, and the connections, from Moses and the Golden Calf to Gethsemane and finally the Whore of Babylon in Revelation, this time the focus of the Sabbath Day midrash is a bit different. In John chapter 8, while Yahushua is teaching at the temple, a woman is brought before Him -- to 'test him' the text says -- who was allegedly caught in adultery, "the very act." Whereupon, Mark demonstrates, that most teachings in 'sun-day skool' proceed to miss the entire point of the story! And it certainly was NOT that He "did away with the law," or even "raised the bar," on His own Word. There is a larger pattern in evidence here as well. Naso: "Where is the MAN?" https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/WT-CooH-6-7-25-Naso-Wheres-the-Man-podcast-xxx.mp3 The combined two-part reading and Sabbath midrash:
The Book of Bemidbar, or Numbers, which begins with the reading this week (Numbers 1:1-4:20) is apropos both in English, and in the Hebrew names. It certainly has LOTS of Numbers, and for very good reasons, and it takes place 'B'midbar,' or "In the Wilderness." Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship and the Erev Shabbat reading: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/SSM-5-30-25-Bemidbar-teaching-podcast-xx.mp3 The Sabbath Day midrash is about more than just the significance of the 'Numbers' that make up so much of the story. If "faith" was all that matters, why would He spend so much ink on numbers? And why is there so much information in here that doesn't really merit much attention from so much of 'christianity' anyway? What can we really learn from things that most would evidently prefer to ignore? Bemidbar: "Pay Attention to Scripture Ignored" https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/WT-CooH-5-31-25-Bemidbar-Pay-Attention-to-Things-IGNORED-Numbers-matter-podcast-xx.mp3 The combined two-part reading and Sabbath midrash:
The Book of Vayikra or Leviticus concludes with the two part torah parsha, "Behar," and "Bechukotai," (Leviticus chapters 25 through the end of the Book.) Covered first are the concepts of 'sabbath for the land,' and the "Jubilee" year, which Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa explains might be thought of as a big Reset button that has the effect of precluding a societal meltdown and depression otherwise. Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship and the Erev Shabbat reading: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/SSM-5-23-25-Behar-Bechukotai-teaching-podcast-xxx.mp3 The Sabbath Day midrash begins with a bit more background on that Scriptural reset, and what happens when it does NOT. And even though much of the parsha is directed at what happens "in the [promised] land" - and we remain in exile, as also promised - there are indications that we are again on the precipice of the multiplied curses in the latter part of the parsha, that again seem so clearly apropos. Behar-Bechukotai: "The Big Reset Lever - and What Follows" https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/SSM-5-23-25-Behar-Bechukotai-THE-Big-Reset-Lever-and-what-follows-podcast-xxx.mp3 The combined two-part reading and Sabbath midrash:
The Erev Shabbat (Friday evening) of two-part Double-parsha "Kedoshim," then "Emor," Leviticus chapters 19 through 24, is what Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship suggests is an interesting combination, given the number and relationships of the multitude of statutes, judgments, and commandments in this section. Some of it repeats the prohibition of sexual sins and even abominations outlined last week, but this time including penalties, while others literally "cover the map" - from things seem related, to many that don't -- almost like a scatter-gun. And it certainly makes for some interesting questions! The Erev Shabbat reading: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/SSM-5-16-25-Kedoshim-Emor-teaching-podcast-xxx.mp3 The combination of these two paraschot includes what amounts to a 'tour de force' of proof texts why so much of the Whore Church has literally turned its back on Scripture. From sexuality, to economics, to the common law and even common decency, the fact that so much of what He says to do "forever," and even "throughout your generationss," and "in all your dwelling places," is not only now ignored, but considered "not PC," is more than telling. It's an indictment. The annual Torah cycle reading for this week, Achre Mot, Leviticus chapters 16 through 18, takes place - literally as it says - "after the death" of Aaron's two sons, Nadab and Abihu. And it begins with a warning about what Aaron must do, so that he "die not," as well. The Erev Shabbat (Friday evening) begins there, and with a description of the 'two goats' associated with the Day of Atonement, or Yom Kippur. What then follows is another of the most "politially-INcorrect" sections in Scripture. And the fact that it IS tells us just how far into perversion the world has gone. And there is a warning here, too. The fact that SO much of what is today accepted as PC means that His Truth is now guaranteed to offend many. https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/SSM-5-9-25-Achre-Mot-teaching-podcast-xxx.mp3 it? As Yahushua warned in prophecies like Matthew chapter 24, we are currently seeing what is almost certainly the beginning of the period of the Greatest Deception in human history. So this Sabbath Day midrash begins with a warning, from Paul's Second Letter to the Thessalonians: those who do not have a "love of the Truth" will probably not survive what is coming. "Achre Mot: It Only STARTS with Love of the Truth" https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/WT-CooH-5-10-25-Achre-Mot-Love-of-Truth-Rightly-Divide-the-Word-podcast-xxx.mp3 The combined two-part reading and Sabbath midrash: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/WT-CooH-5-10-25-Achre-Mot-Love-of-Truth-Rightly-Divide-the-Word-podcast-xxx.mp3
If you were to ask most 'sun-day christians' what one of the most boring, and irrelevant, sections of the whole Book is - even if they never hear it read anyway - many might point to the part about what they call "leprosy." Which is a good reason to at least SUSPECT that there's more to it. But Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship suggests this week that there is a WHOLE LOT more to it: Not only is the section NOT at all about "leprosy," or what we know as Hansen's Disease, there's a good case to be made, as he does, for the "why!" The Erev Shabbat (Friday evening) of the two-part Double-parsha "Tazria," then "Metzorah," Leviticus chapters 12 through 15.reading again begins with what happens on eighth day -- but this time it as after a woman "bears" a male child -- and one more thing that just isn't talked about much either: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/SSM-5-2-25-Tazria-Metzora-teaching-podcast-xx.mp3 Once again, and as seems to be so often the case, the Torah portion story this week has a relevance to current events that demonstrates the timelessness of the message, EVEN if it has to do with a malady that hasn't been seen for well over a thousand years. But if the "Evil Tongue," ('lashon hora' in the Hebrew) has something to do with the plague, Mark has suggested in the past that there may be a reason. A fairly-standard warning about "gossip" [at least a subset of 'lashon hora'] is that it kills three people: the one who speaks it, the one who listens, and the one about whom it is spoken." And most discussion of the actual plague, called "tzaraat" in Hebrew, and there is no actual translation, tends to not only spiritualize, but personalize, the warning: 'Don't do it.' But could the reason we don't see that Divine Discipline manifested with people being marked as "unclean, unclean," be an aspect of something much bigger? And when did what has been referred to as "Supernatural Spiritual Discipline" actually come to an end? Or did it? Tazria-Matzorah: "The Truly GLOBAL Evil Tongue - and What It Means Today" https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/WT-CooH-5-3-25-Tazria-Metzora-CORPORATE-Empirical-PPP-Lashon-Hora-podcast-xxx.mp3 The combined two-part reading and Sabbath midrash:
Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship for a two-part look at parsha "Shmini," Leviticus chapters 9 through 11. The Erev Shabbat (Friday evening) reading begins with the story of the "eighth [shmini] day" and the events leading to the deaths of Aaron's two eldest sons. And it completes with the instruction of what is "food," and what is not. The confluence certainly suggests there is a connection, regardless of what we may have been told by many who, "by your traditions, make the commandments of YHVH of no effect." The Erev Shabbat reading: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/SSM-4-25-25-Shmini-teaching-podcast-xxx.mp3 As seems to be so often the case, the Torah portion story this week has a relevance to current events that demonstrates the timelessness of the message, as the lawless claim that "no one is above the law," has become a sick joke. Mark notes that there has been much discussion over the centuries of why "Aaron kept his peace," or remained silent, after the death of his two oldest sons, Nadab and Abihu. One of the explanations might be that he realized, after the 'golden calf,' that he, himself, had arguably deserved, but been spared, a similar fate. So, why those two? What did they really do? Even though Scripture explicitly tells us, questions remain. Because, "to whom much is given, much is expected." Shmini: "No One is Above the Law. And they Knew, or Should Have Known." https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/WT-CooH-4-26-25-Shmini-NO-One-is-Above-the-Law-Knew-or-Should-Have-podcast-xxx.mp3 The combined two-part reading and Sabbath midrash:
Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship for a special "Holy-and-UN" Day rip-roaring discussion of things that don't fall into the regular annual Torah reading cycle, but are absolutely relevant 'for such a time as this.' For the Erev Shabbat (Friday evening) reading, Mark was led to examine Ezekiel's vision in chapters 8 and 9, in a story he refers to as the "angel with the inkhorn." And it is undeniably relevant to much of what is happening now, and this weekend in particular. The Erev Shabbat reading: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/SSM-4-18-25-Dealers-Choice-special-teaching-for-Ishatar-sun-god-day-Ezekiel-8-9-podcast-xxx.mp3 During the 'change-of-pace' Sabbath Day message, Mark again takes up the theme of the current 'cusp,' or turning point, but with the understanding that we have been told that "things hidden will be revealed." (Matthew 10:26 et al) And it's not just pagan practices that have supposedly been 'christianized,' in spite of the fact that YHVH says so bluntly that He "hates" them. It's virtually every aspect of our world that you can name, from economics, to politics, to science...and even the no-longer-hidden open treason among those "Black-robed priests of Satan." Buckle up. This is one you won't want to miss! 419, False Flags, Fake Gods - Things Hidden Until Such a Time as This https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/WT-CooH-4-19-25-419-Things-Hidden-Being-Revealed-On-the-Cusp-podcast-xxxx.mp3 The combined two-part reading and Sabbath midrash:
The final Torah portion reading from the Book of Exodus is parsha "Pekudei" (the 'Accounts', Exodus 38:21 through the end of the Book) and it begins with exactly that: a recounting of the gold, silver, and brass that were used to complete the mishkan, or tabernacle in the wilderness. Again, too, there is much detail, almost to the point of redundancy, but for what appears to be an important reason. Almost word-for-word, what we had been told they WERE to do, is now recounted that they did. And, over and over again, it was "as Yahuah commanded Moses." Surely there is a lesson there. The Erev Shabbat reading: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/SSM-3-28-25-Pekudei-teaching-podcast-x.mp3 This parsha seems to give an answer to the question, "Why?" Why build that 'mishkan' together? Why is that phrase "as Yahuah commanded Moshe," repeated eighteen TIMES in this parsha alone? Why does this still matter? Especially now? "Pekudei: As YHVH commanded Moshe - we had still better know and do" https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/WT-CooH-3-29-25-Pekudei-As-YHVH-Commanded-Moshe-so-WE-had-better-DO-podcast-xxx.mp3 The combined podcast is here:
Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship for a two-part look at parsha "Tzav" (Leviticus chapters 6 through 8). The first unique word in the portion is 'tzav', or COMMAND, Aaron and his sons, concerning more specifics associated with various types of offerings. And, it's important to note that the word translated as "this is the LAW" of these activities is again the root word 'torah,' and clearly makes more sense if we understand that this is INSTRUCTION about them. For many obvious reasons, we can't DO them, but we can study the instruction to try to understand what we are being taught. The Erev Shabbat reading: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/SSM-4-11-25-Tzav-teaching-podcast-xx.mp3 We no longer have a temple, or mishkan. Nor cohenim to make the offerings. Except for admonitions like "don't eat blood," none of these things can really be done. Meanwhile, we live in a world where even the commandments and judgments which still obviously DO apply are scoffed at. Or worse. Which is why some "compare and contrast" with where we find ourselves today, relative to history, and prophecy, should be informative. Mark suggests we are at a 'cusp,' or turning point, but almost like the "calm before the storm." Consider "dishonest weights and measures," for example. Whatever the new President's intention, he inherited a fiat dollar that Scripture calls "abomination," and which WILL ultimately collapse. The question is not 'IF,' but when. And, what will survive? But Scripture and prophecy give us an answer there, too. Tzav: Do We Still Trust in Lying Words? https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/CooH-4-12-25-Tzav-On-the-Cusp-podcast-xxx.mp3 The combined two-part reading and Sabbath midrash:
This week we begin the reading and study of the Book of Vayikra, or Leviticus, with chapters 1 through 5. And, sadly, this is one of those Books where some folks just hear the name ('Leviticus') and their eyes begin to glaze over; "it's SO boring," and "what difference does it make anyway?" Which is the best reason you'll hear to take an honest look at what it really says, why it matters NOW, more than ever, and why we have been lied to so thoroughly about all of it. Because you can't understand the real Messiah, or recognize the fakes, without understanding what we have almost certainly NOT been taught! Starting with the overview, and reading, to understand a bit of that distinction: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/SSM-4-4-25-Vayikra-teaching-podcast-xxx.mp3 The Sabbath day in-depth 'midrash' picks up with that vital distinction. And, WARNING: This will upset some folks, because John had it right. (I John chapter 2) He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. And that describes accurately what Mark Call refers to as BOTH the 'Whore Church," and the "Whore Synagogue." And this is where it will be made very clear why that is not only accurate, but vital to understand. Yes, many if not most of us who have attended the vast majority of 'denominational churches' have probably heard the term "Old" Testament, and one of the Biggest Lies in all of history: that somehow "Jesus did away with the Law," or "nailed it to the cross," so nothing the Bible says about "sacrifices" matters any more. Could it be that there is something vitally important that is missing? This week those "battle lines" became ever more clear. Vayikra: AI-dolatry -- When Does Mere Ignorance Become Outright Rebellion to YHVH? https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/WT-CooH-4-5-25-Vayikra-AIdolatry-Teaching-INTENTIONAL-sin-to-the-Deliberately-Ignorant-xxx.mp3 The combined two-part reading and Sabbath midrash:
The Torah reading called "Pekudei" (for the "accounts" that summarized the making of the 'mishkan,' or Tabernacle in the Wilderness, from Exodus 38:10 through the end of the Book) is the final parsha the the opening saga of the Exodus. And while the story has only really begun at that point, it's an inspired summary of what mattered then, and still does: the phrase "as YHVH commanded Moshe [Moses]" is repeated eighteen times in this parsha alone, and the level of repeated detail on the work the 'mixed multitude' did together is, in large measure, also repeated, but with a change of tense: that which they were TOLD to do, they, and Moses, DID -- and, again, "as YHVH commanded Moshe." There is clearly a message there. While most of us who have attended the vast majority of 'denominational churches' have probably heard the term "Old" Testament, and even that "the Law" was somehow away with later, as if it no longer applies, and what matters instead is the 'spirit' that is in our hearts, Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa suggests we had better understand the MANY other admonitions in Scripture, including warnings from Shaul, or Paul, that have been twisted. He starts with a look at the First Letter Paul wrote to the Corinthians, and chapter 3. But it is undeniable, to those with "eyes to see," that the ReNewed Covenant, in places like Jeremiah 31:31 is not quite what most of us have been taught, either. As we see the battle lines being drawn in a world which has largely rejected the True Messiah in favor of "another jesus whom we have NOT preached," Mark suggests it has never been more important not only that we know WHICH Spirit is "holy" and how to know, but that we understand why what "Yahuah commanded Moshe" is still the Foundation -- just as Yahushua HaMashiach, the Messiah, said, and taught. He never changed so much as a "yod or tiddle." And He summarized it all simply, too: "If you love Me, keep My commandments." Which? All of 'em. The ones He Wrote, and Taught, and has never changed. If we are now to be His "temple," and His Holy Spirit is to dwell within our hearts, we need to understand what that really means. The Erev Shabbat Reading of the entire portion: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/SSM-3-28-25-Pekudei-teaching-podcast-x-1.mp3 Pekudei: As YHVH Commanded Moshe - so we still had better DO https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/WT-CooH-3-29-25-Pekudei-As-YHVH-Commanded-Moshe-so-WE-had-better-DO-podcast-xxx-1.mp3 The combined two-part reading and Sabbath midrash: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/WT-CooH-3-29-25-Pekudei-As-YHVH-Commanded-Moshe-so-WE-had-better-DO-podcast-xxx-1.mp3
This may be one of the most important - and certainly controversial - teachings that Mark Call, of Shabbat Shalom Mesa Fellowship has done. Because it hits at the very heart of what "Come out of her, My people," is about. Parsha "Ki Tisa" (Exodus chapters 30 through 34) includes on of the most infamous tragedies in the Bible - the story of the 'Golden Calf,' and Moses' subsequent throwing down and destruction of the first set of tablets, engraved with the very 'finger of YHVH.' And that, too, is symbolic of what has been done by the mob that "assembled" or "gathered" against Aaron ever since! The Erev Shabbat reading of the portion includes some of the vital context for the story that often tends to be overlooked, given the drama that follows: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/SSM-3-14-25-Ki-Tisa-teaching-podcast-xxx.mp3 What is less well-understood is that the entire context of that story reflects on what another "assembly" (or, even 'ecclesia' for those that have heard the Greek term) has done almost universally, over and over again, throughout history. And still continues. The Sabbath Day midrash addresses the 'twisting' that Kefa/Peter talked about (II Peter 3:15-16) and how, in particular, Paul's second letter to the Corinthians has been almost completely "turned on its head," as is seem by a look at this story, and the context of chapter 3 of that Book. J.K. McKee of Messianic Apologetics goes through the study questions for Ch 3 in the Messianic Beginnings workbook: 1. What are some examples of common Christian ignorance of the Torah? Do you think this is acceptable for those who claim to study and know the Bible? 2. Do you believe knowing about the Torah is important for our faith and having a proper foundation for understanding the Apostolic Scriptures (New Testament)? Why or why not? 3. Give examples of modern societal degradation that have resulted, or can result, from not heeding the Torah’s commandments. 4. In what sense is the Torah “Teaching”? In what sense is the Torah “Law”? 5. Give some examples, based in the Torah, of how Believers are to be holy, or more specifically set-apart, from the world. How important do you believe this is? 6. Why do you think many believe that the Messiah abolished the Torah? Do you believe that “fulfill” means “abolish”? Why or why not? 7. Why do you think that many Bible teachers speak against the Torah? 8. What do you believe the correct meaning of “under the Law” is? 9. Understanding that Yeshua upheld the validity of the Torah or Law of Moses, how might we reconcile what many claim about Paul and other authors in the Apostolic Scriptures (New Testament), to His words? 10. List some specific reasons why born again Believers need the Torah. 11. What is sin, Biblically defined? What is lawlessness, Biblically defined? 12. If sin is indeed disobedience to the Torah, what things might you need to change in your life? What things do you need to pray about?
S From Justin Camp, Wire Devotional [ 1 min read ★ ] The Lord is my helper; I will not fear—Hebrews 13:6 We have an enemy, brother, and he is a liar. He “fills the world with lies” (John 8:44 MSG). He doesn’t tire of his work . . . and he is clever. He reserves certain lies, holding them, waiting for the right time and for the right men. For he knows that some of his lies are more persuasive at certain times and under specific circumstances. As we stand now, looking out at the expanse of a new year, he knows it’s time to whisper fear into the minds of men. He’s whispering, to those who’ll listen, to be afraid of what trouble might be coming. He’s whispering this lie now because he understands our nature. He knows we like control. He knows we like to know what’s next. He knows it’s difficult to feel “in control” when facing the uncertainty . . . when anything, really, might happen. And so, he knows it’s time to take advantage. We confront a choice, therefore. We can accept his lie, shoulder the fear, shrink back and focus on survival by returning to things that offer us just a little comfort—work, food, alcohol, pornography, distraction, withdrawal. Or, we can reject his lie, spurn his fearmongering, hold tight to the promises of God, and move forward—trusting that no trouble will surpass God’s ability to protect us and care for us. “This resurrection life you received from God is not a timid, grave-tending life. It’s adventurously expectant, greeting God with a childlike ‘What’s next, Papa?’” (Romans 8:15-17 MSG) First Light the bait of Satan- 12/16 The Bait of Satan Lest satan should take advantage of us, for we are not ignorant of his baits. 2 Corinthians 2:11 The bait of satan is the title of a popular book written a few years ago. It is also a revelation of great truth found in God's Word. We learn from the Word that the enemy of our soul that is hell bent on our destruction uses "bait" to capture us in order to steal, kill and destroy us. Being a fisherman, I am well aware of how effective the right bait can be in capturing a fish! The bait that is spoken of here in Second Corinthians is no doubt his favorite and most effective weapon used to wound and damage people, families and churches. It is the bait of bitterness, or as it is called in the Bible; unforgiveness. Personally, in thirty-five years of ministry I can testify that this is the satanic tool that has done the most harm to people where I have pastored. It is the tool that is currently dividing our nation. No doubt it is the evil ones "go to" weapon. The Bible admonishes us not to "be ignorant" of his diabolical working in this area within our personal lives and to reject every attempt of his to inject thoughts of bitterness into our thinking. Most of his schemes would never trip up the average believer. Being tempted to steal, murder, lie, abuse drugs or steal someone's mate would be so repulsive to saints that they are useless against them. However, the bait of bitterness is justified by many believers and ensnares them. That is why we are warned to live with a constant vigilance against any attempt of the enemy to bait us into a hard heart against anyone. I have seen so much damage done with this one tool. Let’s determine we will not become prisoners of satan by receiving accusations from hell against others. Let’s refuse to justify our bitterness by calling it "hurt" or anything else that allows it to remain. Let’s call it what God calls it and be free from the bondage that it guarantees. Often, I am asked "how can I forgive them after what they did"? That's a great question. The Bible has a great answer! The living God will never ask me to forgive anyone more that He has forgiven me. I was damned in my sin against God. Guilty without excuse. But, in the greatest act of forgiveness in history He not only forgave me, but He made His Son stand in for me at my cross and accept my punishment. I can forgive because I have been forgiven! Thank you, Father, for the power of forgiveness to keep me free from the bondage of bitterness and torment that is afflicting so many today. I praise you that a forgiven man can afford to forgive! First Light 11/26/20 Why Pray? "Don't ever stop praying with great earnestness, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving." Colossians 4:2 Does anyone struggle with prayer? Do you ever struggle with finding time to pray? Do you ever wonder if your prayers make a difference? Let’s be bold and ask the question here. Why even bother to pray? Should I pray simply because I'm expected to? Do I pray to keep God happy? The truth is that most believers give very little to prayer. Heck, the average preacher in America prays very little. What difference does it make anyway? Let me bring out a great truth from scripture regarding our praying. We are called by our Father to pray many times in the Bible. Today's scripture calls us to pray earnestly and never give up. Me praying doesn't make me a "good Christian". Its not a question of my goodness. Its a question of His goodness. In what I fear may be an oversimplification let me pose this thought; why would a good Father call me to pray of He wasn't going to do something? Would He require me to spend time in prayer knowing He was not going answer? That prayer was just some form of Christian discipline He puts me through for some unknown purpose? A thousand times no. If He is as good as His Word says He is, anything He calls me to do will certainly have a purpose and great benefit. I cannot imagine telling my children to ask me for something knowing my answer was no. That would be warped. Truth is that He says He will give you what you ask for quicker than you will feed your children when they ask for dinner. "If you being evil compared to me will give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good things to those who ask Him"? I am convinced by His Word and His Spirit that He greatly desires to answer our prayers when prayed boldly in faith. I simply cannot imagine Him commanding me to do something just so He can ignore me. He will do what He says He will do. It’s that simple. "Call on me, I will answer you, and show you great things you have never seen before". I have a feeling (actually a revelation from scripture) that our great struggle to pray comes from an unholy devil that knows what happens when God's people pray in faith and humility. He knows how good our God is. That's why he does everything in his evil power to hinder us from praying to God. Do what he may, he won't stop me from calling on the Most High. I know how Good God is. Father, knowing how you are, I declare as David did, "in the morning I will lift up soul to you in prayer". Where: At Amazon, in paperback and digital, in English and Spanish translation. What we create, here and now, reconstitutes the universe! 006* Gloss of: Creation Story - PaRDeS - Bere’shith Genesis 1:1 Dear Friends of Dialogue: The problem with getting the one first thing wrong, is that everything built upon that will be skewed, hence the perennial crisis of civilization. “Árbol que crece torcido, jamás su rama endereza”, as the saying goes down south. This is telling us to go back to square one, to absolute time equal to zero, namely, the Ma‘aseh Bere’shith Work of Creation 1:1 (מעשה בראשית). A civilization, whose being is founded on it, will grow up clueless. Showing up at the top floors with cracks, decomposition, and bewilderment. The reason is simply because the whole won’t be constituted out of its triad of parts, down the line the connection of the whole with its triad won’t be made. The whole, won’t coalesce as a triad. Instead, it will remain disconnected, on the one hand, as whole being, and on the other hand, its constituent parts, won’t be able to align beliefs, values, with actions. But, let us take it by parts, putting the bits and pieces together of the puzzle. Figuratively speaking, we could express it as the spear, the spearhead, the tip of the spear, the subtle point of the tip, which is the endpoint of a line extending from infinity to the tip of the spear, you get the idea. Same applies here with the Bible Creation Story Bere’shith Genesis 1:1-2:3 (בראשית). At the end of day, the penetrating power of a spear will ultimately depend on the point at the tip of the spearhead. The above analogy applies squarely regarding our question at issue of getting to the root of the problem ailing humanity. Taking it from the top and mentioning the whole sequence. There’s the TaNaKh Bible (תנ׳׳ך), there’s the Torah Teaching (תורה) of Moses’ Chumash Pentateuch (חמש), there’s the Bere’shith Genesis 1:1-50:26 (בראשית), there’s the Bere’shith Genesis 1:1-6:8 (בראשית), there’s the Ma’aseh Bere’shith Work of InBeginningOf 1:1-2:3 (מעשה בראשית),the Creation Story, there’s also the Bere’shith Genesis 1:1 (בראשית), the one-first word, there’s also the Beth B 1:1a (ב) the one-first letter, and, finally, there’s the Álef a 1:0 (א) the behind the curtains silent secret letter, one-first of Hebrew alefbeth. There are a few sticking points that need addressing on their own in order to make significant progress. There are three items, two substantives, mayor and minor, and one procedural. The mayor item being the matter of the very first word, same that we interpret as Bere’shith InBeginningOf 1:1a (בראשית); the minor item is the matter of the so-called direct object marker that we interpret as ’eth dialogue-with-you (את); the procedural item, is regarding how to read the text, given the previous two concerns, the matter that we resolve by way of the accordion figure of speech. Once this is set in place, the rest follows smoothly. Now, as regards the interpretations of Bere’shith Genesis 1:1 (בראשית) as such, there are three versions out there, one on the Jewish flank, one on the Christian side, a hybrid one, and now a fourth, our own contribution. On a previous podcast, I was of the opinion that either they are right, or else, they’re wrong,

As we are creative, here and now, the universe reconstitutes. 002_PaRDeS, as primeval common-sense My claim is that PaRDeS is primeval common-sense, hence PaRDeSism would be the hermeneutics of Biblical exegesis for Reconstitution, based on that principle. Or conversely, if PaRDeS is the original common sense, then crisis is today’s quite ordinary common nonsense. The Jews, as such, are never mentioned by that name in the Bible, I mean the Torah Teaching, as the five books of Moses. This word Jews appears much later, in post-biblical times, and then referring to the inhabitants of the kingdom of Judea, when the Promised land, Israel, had divided into the northern kingdom of Israel, with capital Samaria, and the southern kingdom Judea, with capital Jerusalem. In any case, in the Torah Teaching, what is only mentioned is Beney Yisrael Children of Israel. Ben means son, and bat means daughter, so the masculine plural is Beney, or children, hence Beney Yisrael Children of Israel. Since my work is limited in scope to the Creation Story, verses 1:1-2:3, neither Jews nor Beney Yisrael Children of Israel are actually mentioned. Rather, ’Avraham Abraham, the patriarch of the Beney Yisrael Children of Israel occurs much later, close to the end of the Parashah Section Noach Noah, 6:9-11:32, and more fully in Lech Lecha Go to yourself, 12:1-17:27. My point of view of the Creation Story is that it is the seat of understanding. I would mention Beney Yisrael Children of Israel, not Jews, though in modern parlance, they stand for the same thing. But it is important to distinguish it, for Jews is more akin to Judaism, as religion, as an ism. Recall that ism, as system of belief is more of Greek construct, like in Platonism, Modernism, Realism, Idealism, you get the idea. But this notion of ism is quite alien to the spirit of the Torah Teaching, and this is my point. The Torah Teaching is more about PaRDeS, about Creation, followed by humanity and about Beney Yisrael Children of Israel, and ultimately about the interaction of these two. Judaism as such is a later development, as is Zionism and the modern state of Israel. I mention all this to dispel the notion that I am trying to proselytize in favor of Judaism. Let me be clear, I am not a scholar of Judaic studies, much less a rabbi, though I am a cryptic Jew, better known as Hispanic Jew or Latino Jew. By this later concept I mean that I descend from those Sephardic Jews in Spain back in 1492, who were made an offer they could not refuse: burn, banish, or convert. My story of PaRDeSism is universal, humanist at its best. It is clearly linked to the Abrahamic religions, of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, but for that matter, as well as to the non-Abrahamic religions, of Hinduism, Buddhism, and many more. But that is not my main focus of attention. Some people advise me to take the Hebrew out from my narrative, that not everybody is fond of Jews. That this fact will play against people willing to read my book, PaRDeSism ~ Human Science 101, and ultimately to join the PaRDeS primevalism cause-movement for ReConstitution. What can I respond, should I use English, instead, a language that didn’t even exist a thousand years ago, much less at the dawn of civilization?
