Isaiah 40:31 31 But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.    They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary.    They will walk and not faint. Transcript (Transcribed by TurboScribe) This is one of my favourite worship songs. I just sang it last night. Again, I often do that. Just before I go to bed, I’ll listen to a few of these, and this was the one last night I just put on, and I was just taking some time with the Lord. I trust in God. Do we do that? Sometimes we forget that, right? When life gets a little tough, we kind of grab to all kinds of straws, and they don’t last that long, but the Lord is always there. He starts the song with blessed assurance. Remember how the words went in the old song? For Jesus is mine. Lord, thank you for the series on Joseph. Thank you for the lessons we learned. Help us, Lord, to take those and make them part of our lives, especially this morning. It’s a big one. Thank you for that. May we ask, as we always do, that we can see Jesus and only Jesus. So I’m sitting in the doctor’s office in the waiting room. Jay nearly choked on his coffee now. Let me go back. I’m sitting in the doctor’s office in the waiting room. The receptionist checked me in, and she said, take a seat and wait. The nurse will call you when the doctor is ready to see you. I’m not alone in this room. There’s other people with me, and we all know our task. It’s in the name of the room. Wait. We don’t tweet each other. We don’t take blood pressure. We don’t write prescriptions. Our job is to wait. Now, we don’t like that because we’re this kind of giddy-up generation, right? We weave through the traffic to get to the fastest lane just to stop at the traffic light at the same time as everyone else. We get really upset when someone brings 11 items into the 10-item express checkout, and we drum our fingers when we watch Netflix, and it takes a little while for that video to download. We don’t like waiting, not for the traffic, not for the doctor, not for God. Can we take a moment and just think about this for a moment? Where are we sitting? Not today in the church. Every day as we live in this world, where are we sitting? We’re sitting in God’s waiting room. See the young couple sitting there? They’ve been waiting for a long time, trying to get pregnant. See the gentleman there with a briefcase on his lap? He’s been sending out resume after resume, waiting, waiting to find a job. See the elderly lady, just widowed? She’s been waiting for one day without waking up crying. Here’s the thing. We live in a land between prayer offered and prayer answered, in the land of waiting, in God’s waiting room. Now, if there’s someone that knows every piece of furniture, who’s read every notice on that bulletin board in God’s waiting room, it was Joseph. He spent hours down in a cistern, waiting that someone might just take him out. Months walking about 750 kilometres to get to Egypt. Days, if not weeks, on that auction block. A decade in the household of Potiphar, the captain of the guard. Time moves slowly in a foreign land, and time stops in prison. And that’s where we pick up his story today. Can I just give you a little backstory before we read, and we’re going to start reading chapter 39 verse 19. So Joseph works for Potiphar, and things are wonderful. People love him, everyone loves him, and Potiphar’s wife wants to love him even more. She invites him into her bedroom, and he says, no thank you. She did not take that kindly. So she decided that she was going to get him back for that. So she goes to her husband, and she lies, and she tells him that Joseph tried to sexually assault her. And that’s where we pick up our story. Potiphar was so furious when he heard his wife’s story about Joseph, how Joseph had treated her. So he took Joseph, and he threw him into the prison where the king’s prisoners were held, and there he remained. Do I need to say this? But the Lord, this is about God even better. But the Lord was with Joseph in the prison, and he showed him his faithful love. But the Lord was with Joseph even there where time stood still. And then, and I’m going to use strange words which I will explain in a second. I’m using them specifically. It just so happened that the baker and the butler, not the candlestick maker, only the baker and the butler, they messed up, and Pharaoh got really angry at them, and he dumped them in jail with Joseph. They became friends. And it just so happened that they both had a dream. And it just so happened that God allowed Joseph to understand the dreams and tell them what the dreams meant. If I was the baker, I wish I never had that dream for him. It didn’t end that well. He lost his head. The butler or the cupbearer, as the translation calls him, the butler, he got really good news. You’re not going to stay in here for long, buddy. You go right back, and they’re going to put you back in your job, and you’re going to live happily ever after working for the king. But as Joseph tells him that, he asks him a favour. Chapter 40, verse 14. He said to him, please remember me. Do me a favour when things go well for you. Mention me to Pharaoh so he might let me out of this place, for I was kidnapped from my homeland, the land of the Hebrews, and now I’m here in prison. But I did nothing to deserve it. And then verse 23. Pharaoh’s cupbearer, butler, however, forgot all about Joseph, never giving him another thought. For two years, not a single word. Enough time for Joseph to forget about God, to kind of push his beliefs to one side and say, it’s all done. There’s nothing more. I’m just stuck in this prison. But he never did, because Joseph knows all about last week’s sermon. About the one who weaves. Sometimes the world weaves, but God is the amazing re-weaver. And he knew all about that. Never gave up. And then it happened. Pharaoh had this dream. Actually, two dreams. One about cows and one about grain. It upset him really, because he didn’t understand what this was all about. So he got all of his wise people and all of his counsellors together. And he said, explain this to me, because I’m really concerned about what this might mean. They had no clue. And then that moment, chapter 41, verse 9. Finally, the king’s cupbearer spoke up, the butler. Today, I have been reminded of my failure, he told Pharaoh. Some time ago, you were angry with the chief baker and me, and you imprisoned us in the palace of the captain of the guard. That is Potiphar. One night, the chief baker and I each had a dream, and each dream had its own meaning. And there was a young Hebrew man with us in the prison who was a slave of the captain of the guard. And we told him our dreams. And he told us what each of our dreams meant. And everything happened just as he had predicted. I was restored to my position as cupbearer, and the chief baker was executed and impaled on a pole. Sandy Barry, I just told you about that this week. Pharaoh sent for Joseph at once, and he was quickly brought from the prison. And after he shaved and changed his clothes, he went in and stood before Pharaoh. This would be the first time that Pharaoh and Joseph would come face to face, and they would look at each other. Wouldn’t be the last. Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, I had a dream last night, and no one here can tell me what it means. But I’ve heard that when you hear about a dream, you can interpret it. Now, listen carefully to Joseph’s answer. It is beyond my power to do this, Joseph replied. And do I have to say it? But God. But God can tell you what it means and said to you, I can’t do it, but God can do it. Joseph comes out of jail after all this time, going through all of the stuff, and he comes out there bragging about God. The jail time, the wait time did not diminish his faith, did not take away his faith, did quite the opposite. It strengthened his faith in this God who is weaving his life together, even if he’s sitting in the waiting room. Because Joseph understood his God. God who makes promises and keeps them. A God who is sovereign and nothing in this world can change what God is doing and is going to do and will do in your life and in my life, because that’s just who he is. And I didn’t write this in the sermon, but boy was that right. I trust in God. That’s what Joseph would have said, and that was maybe the last song he sang before he got out of jail. And you, you might not be in jail, but you might be sitting in that waiting room. Well, while you’re waiting, God is working. God never sits around and twiddling his thumbs. I wonder what’s going on in the universe. Doesn’t take vacation. Psalm 121, he never slumbers and he never sleeps. John 5, he never stops working. We have a song for that. Waymaker, he never stops. He never stops working. He’s the waymaker, miracle worker, light in the darkness. That is who you are. You never stop. You never stop working, even when I’m sitting in the waiting room. Think of Joseph. In a sense, chapter 40, his life came to a standstill. There he was, dumped, and that was the end. And now I’m coming back to those words that I used when I said, it just so happened. Nah, it didn’t just so happen. It was no coincidence. This was God working. God putting the pieces together. Those two guys who fell out of favour with Pharaoh, God knew that there was a plan with that. And he put them right there where Joseph would meet them. And God had them have these dreams. And God gave it to Joseph so Joseph could explain it. God was at work, even when Joseph was sitting in the waiting room. And when all the pieces were in place, Pharaoh had a dream, and no one understood. And at the right time, at the right time, the old cupbearer who forgot for more than two years said, there’s a Joseph. See, that’s God at the right time. Not my time. Not your time. We live in the land of waiting between a prayer offered and a prayer answered. We kind of, God help me now. Now! Stand in line. There’s someone with 12 in front of you. The land between a prayer offered and a prayer answered. It is the land of waiting. But God is working, and God is weaving. So it’s okay sometimes to wait. Giddy up, generation. And as you wait, it would behove you to just look up to the wall, because God has a beautiful plaque on the wall in his waiting room. Psalm 46 verse 10. Someone know where that is? There’s a coffee for that. No, don’t look it up. Be still and know that I, that’s right there in his waiting room. Be still and know that I, I can be glad, even in my waiting, because God is good. I can be silent, because God is, I can rest, because God is busy. I know that’s hard, because we want those answers right now. We don’t like to wait. I want to go straight into it. But in the waiting is where we learn more and more about this master weaver in our lives. There’s this beautiful word, Psalm 31, and Alexander knows that’s one of those that’s going to be read at my funeral. I trust in you. I say you are my God. Just before that, he says, God, I’m scared. There’s lots of stuff going on, and I’m not sure about all these things, but I trust in you. I say you are my God, and then those words, my times are in your hands. Can we say that in our own lives? I trust in you. Between a prayer offered and a prayer answered, my times are in your hands. And then do what Paul says, right? Through prayer and petition and with thanksgiving, you give it to God. And let me end. It would be good for us to remember, and Grace, you have this on there, to remember Isaiah chapter 40, verse 31. Those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. Can I just stop that for a second? The word trust is sometimes translated with hope, and the King James got it right for once, translated it correctly. Again, a Hebrew word, Amirah, kavah. Kavah means to wait. Those who wait on the Lord will find new strength. Those who wait on the Lord will soar high on wings like eagles. Those who wait on the Lord will run and not grow weary. Those who wait on the Lord will walk and they will not faint. You’ll get through that waiting room period. Ask Joseph. He’ll tell you. One more thing. As you sit there, you might notice that the door opens and you’ll see the doctor come out and come sit right next to you. And he’ll say, I’m just going to sit here while we wait. Not all doctors will do that, but yours will, because he’s the great physician. So, welcome to the waiting room. Amen. Take a few moments of quiet prayer. Think of me, O Lord. Think of me in your greatness. Be the rock where I can come and hide. Be that faithful one that I can come and sit and I can just pour my heart out, for I trust in you, Lord. I say, you are my God. And as I wait, my times are in your hand. In Jesus’ name. Amen. We’re going to sing. Praise team. Thank you. When we do the postlude, it seems that we’ve been a little mischievous and we’ve done some stuff that God doesn’t like. So, the last song, if you see on your bulletin, says, Lord, reign me in. So, God must be thinking about us to reign us in for something. It was a little mistype, but we’ll sing Lord, reign me in. That’s our postlude.

The Israelites stood trapped — the Red Sea in front of them, Pharaoh's army thundering behind them. No path forward, no path back. By every human measure, they were finished. Drowning or destruction seemed like their only options. But they cried out to the Lord. And the God who hears, sees, and delivers stepped in. He didn't just make a way — He created a path no one had ever seen before. He parted the Red Sea and led His people through on dry ground, silencing every threat behind them.

A Better Salvation: To the Uttermost Hebrews 7:23-28 Main Idea: Jesus changes lives completely—now and forever! Introduction: Stuck in a Rut Why trust Jesus with the deepest parts of our lives? I. His Help Can Reach Us (Verses 23-25a) • Human help is often limited.  • Jesus saves completely (to the uttermost). • Jesus' power to save you goes one step deeper than your deepest pit. • Action Point: Stop defining the limits of God's grace by the depth of your failures.  II. His Help Is Still Active Right Now (Verse 25b) • Jesus is not distant or passive. • Jesus is alive now and still working on your behalf.  • Jesus will not walk away from you in the middle of your struggle.  • Action Point: Rest in the reality that Jesus is actively working on, in, and through you.  III. He Brings Real Change (Verses 26-28) • Jesus is our Waymaker. • Jesus not only forgives us; He reshapes us from the inside out.  • Jesus is not content to leave you with a divided heart. • Action Point: Give yourself completely to Jesus – let Him save you to the “uttermost”. "Prayer Changes Everything" Devotion for Today

April 2, 2026 Daily Devotional: “The Beauty of the Blank Page”Isaiah 43:18-19 "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland."   We often get stuck in "The Way Things Were." Sometimes we dwell on the past because of regret, wishing we could undo a mistake. Other times, we dwell there because of nostalgia, clinging to a season where we felt safe, successful, or happy, fearing that our best days are behind us. But in these verses for today's devotional, God gives us a gentle but firm command; Forget the former things. He isn't telling us to have amnesia. He's telling us to stop letting the past define our present potential. If youare constantly looking backward, you'll miss the "sprout" breaking through the soil right at your feet. Notice the phrasing: "Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?" This suggests that God's "new thing"isn't always a finished skyscraper; often, it's a tiny seed. It requires a shift in our perception to see God's hand in the middle of our wilderness or wasteland. He doesn't wait for the desert to disappear before He starts thework; He brings the water into the dry place.   Release the anchor and begin asking yourself; what "former thing" are you dragging into today? Whether it's an old hurt or an old glory, give it to God so your hands are free to receive what's next. Look for the"sprout" and ask God to open your eyes to the small blessings. It might be a new connection, a moment of peace, or a fresh idea. Trust the Waymaker because even if your life feels like a desert right now, remember that God specializes in "wasteland irrigation." He provides exactly what is needed to sustain the new growth. God is already working, but our focus on "the way things used to be" or our current "desert" environment can blind us to it. The core meaning is a call to spiritual alertness. It's an invitation to shift your gaze from the dry sand of your current struggle to the small "springs" of grace God is starting to bubble up for you.

This Sunday, we announced our next Lead Pastor and reflected on the biblical model of leadership and transition. Looking at Ephesians 4 and the example of David and Solomon, we see that leadership is a sacred stewardship meant to prepare and strengthen what comes next. As a church, we are called to be stewards, not consumers, building a stronger foundation for the future. Join us as we step into this next season and prepare the way for what God is doing at Waymaker.Church.

In this powerful teaching from Luke 5, we see a faith that refuses to be stopped. When obstacles blocked the way, four men tore through a roof to get their friend to Jesus, revealing that real faith is visible, persistent, and willing to disrupt the ordinary. But Jesus does something unexpected. Before healing the man's body, He forgives his sins, showing that our deepest need isn't physical, but spiritual. The miracle wasn't just about restoration; it was about revealing His authority to forgive and transform lives from the inside out. Then Jesus calls Levi, a man everyone else had written off, proving that no one is beyond His reach. This message reminds us:Faith pushes past obstacles, Jesus heals what's beneath the surface, and the people we often overlook are the very ones He came to save.

But more than a medical story, this message is a testimony of faith, prayer, and the faithfulness of God. As the church stood together believing the promises of God, the situation that looked impossible became a living testimony that Jesus is still the Way Maker.

Witness Wednesday #199 Catherine D. Today I would like to share with you a witness about how God came through at the last minute.  He does this sometimes.  Sometimes it can feel like He is not there, like He didn't hear your prayers, and then just when you think all is lost, He comes through.  Last September, I went to Ecuador for my niece's baptism.  This was a really big deal for me, as my niece was born at 27 weeks and almost didn't survive.  That is a witness for another time.  She was in the hospital for 4 months, and just as she got to leave the hospital and go home, COVID happened.  She had to stay in her house for over a year.  Her grandparents, my brother-in-law's parents, couldn't come here from Ecuador to meet her, and they couldn't travel there due to the pandemic.  So, this past September, right before my niece turned 2, they decided to have her baptized in Ecuador.  They had asked me to be the Godmother, and I was honored to make the trip to celebrate this amazing occasion.  She is a miracle baby for so many reasons, and I was looking forward to being a part of bringing this beautiful girl into the church.  My mom and dad traveled down a week early with my sister, brother-in-law, and my niece.  Then I was traveling with my mother-in-law, Joanie, as she also loves to travel.   The beginning of our trip shows how God shows up in all the details.  We had a really early morning flight, and then we had a long layover in Florida.  When I say long, I mean we had a 12-hour layover in FL.  We were both wondering what we would do to pass the time.  We thought about leaving the airport and looking around the city, but we had our luggage, and we didn't really want to walk around town carrying our luggage.  I was praying about this on our flight to FL, and the thought came to me that we could rent a car.  This way we could keep our luggage in the trunk and drive around the town.  Once we landed and got to the car rental place, it turned out it was very inexpensive to rent the car for the day.  We were all set and on our way.  We drove to the beach, we walked along the boardwalk, we got ice cream, we drove through a beautiful scenic park, and we even got out and went for a nice walk through the park.  We had a fantastic day and made it back to the airport in plenty of time to make our next flight.  God was in all the details of that day, and He worked things out perfectly for us.   This next part of our journey is where things got a little bumpy.  We had been traveling since about 4 am.  We arrived in Ecuador at about 11 pm.  We were tired and ready to get to the hotel and get some sleep.  My brother-in-law had our flight info, but we had no way to reach him as our phones did not have international service.  This wasn't really a problem as our flight was not delayed, and he could always check with the airport if it had been.  Joanie and I wait in the line to go through passport control.  We finally get up to passport control, and we can see the door to go out to meet all those waiting to pick you up.  We hand over our passports, and the man looks at them, then he looks at us.  Then he calls over someone else, and he looks at them, they talk in Spanish, which I don't speak, and I can see the one he called over shaking his head.  I start to get nervous.  I ask if there is a problem.  He said, yes, I am sorry, ma'am, but your passport expires in less than 6 months.  No, it does not expire until March of 2022 and we are in September of 2021.  He explained that in order for me to enter the country, I have to be at least 6 months away from my expiration date.  We looked at my passport, which expired on March 6th, and I landed on March 16th.  He said they will only give a 10-day grace period, and I was already at my 10 days.  Are you getting this?  If I had traveled one week earlier, I would have been fine, but since my passport was going to expire in less than 6 months, 6 months, I couldn't stay.  I had this sinking feeling in my stomach, and I asked what that meant.  He said he was going to ask his supervisor, and he was going to try to see what he could do, but it probably meant that I would have to get back on a plane that night and go back to America.  Joanie and I were so confused.  We didn't know what to do.  They asked if she wanted to stay, but she said she was with me; if I had to go, she was going home too.  The man left us standing there for what felt like a really long time and went to talk to his supervisor.  I told Joanie we needed to pray, and we both started to pray.  We prayed that God would work some miracle.  We prayed that we would get to go to the baptism.  I pleaded with God, I begged Him to work his magic and not let them send me home.  I praised God and thanked Him, I did and said everything I could think of in that moment, and you know what?  It didn't work.  The man came back and said he was really sorry, there was nothing he could do, we had to wait for someone from the airlines to come and escort us back to the other part of the airport so we could get on a plane and go back home.  Go home without seeing my family, without a way of telling them what is going on, without seeing my niece being baptized.  I was heartbroken, and so was Joanie.   Even though we were heartbroken, do you know what I told Joanie?  It's not too late.  We are not back in America yet.  We don't have a new ticket yet.  We can't give up.  Yes, we had done all we could humanly do to help ourselves, but God is the God of the impossible, and He is a way maker.  He makes a way where there is no way.  I had a chat with God.  I told Him that I appreciated all He had done for us that day.  I told him how extremely grateful I was that He saved Charlize and that I got to be her Godmother.  I let Him know that if he wanted us to get on a plane and go back to America, then we would obey.  I also told Him that I knew it wasn't too late for Him to fix this.  I told Him I wasn't giving up on the idea that we would make it to the baptism.  I told Him that I loved Him, that He is amazing, and that whatever He wanted in that moment was what we wanted.  I said, Lord, we believe, help our unbelief.  Then I prayed in the Spirit because, honestly, I had no idea what to pray for or what to say.  I had no idea how the situation could be fixed, but I knew the Holy Spirit could convey the messages in my heart much better than I could.  We sat there for about 20 minutes just waiting for someone from the airlines to come and get us so we could go back home.  Then, all of a sudden, the man from passport control walked over, and he said they worked it out and they were going to let us go into the country.  He said we were very lucky as they never do this, but they will make this one exception.  He was surprised.  I told him it wasn't luck, it was the power of prayer.  I tell you, I have never been so excited to see my brother-in-law as I was that day walking through those passport control doors.   God is so good!  He really is.  If you are listening to this podcast, then I know you already know this, but we should say it again and again.  We should say it often because He really is that good.  We don't just say He is the WayMaker, or the God of the Impossible, because it sounds good or because they are cool names.  We say it because it is who God is.  He really does make the impossible possible.  He makes a way where there isn't one.  There was no logical reason why they let me through that night.  We should have been put on a plane and sent back to America, and yet that was not what God wanted, so He made a way for us to stay.  I know you have seen similar things like this in your life.  If you haven't, I don't think it's because they aren't happening; I think it's because you aren't looking for them.  God is working in every detail of our lives.  If we want to see Him working in our lives more, all we need to do is open our eyes more and look for Him.   www.findingtruenorthcoaching.comCLICK HERE TO DONATECLICK HERE to sign up for Mentoring CLICK HERE to sign up for Daily "Word from the Lord" emailsCLICK HERE to sign up for my newsletter & receive a free audio training about inviting Jesus into your daily lifeCLICK HERE to buy my book Total Trust in God's Safe Embrace

To be very clear, the best guide you can possibly have for making choices is Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the strength of youth. So the purpose of For the Strength of Youth is to point you to Him. It teaches you eternal truths of His restored gospel—truths about who you are, who He is, and what you can accomplish with His strength. It teaches you how to make righteous choices based on those eternal truths.13 It's also important to know what For the Strength of Youth does not do. It doesn't make decisions for you. It doesn't give you a “yes” or “no” about every choice you might ever face. For the Strength of Youth focuses on the foundation for your choices. It focuses on values, principles, and doctrine instead of every specific behavior. The Lord, through His prophets, has always been guiding us in that direction. He is pleading with us to “increase [our] spiritual capacity to receive revelation.”14 He is inviting us to “hear Him.”15 He is calling us to follow Him in higher and holier ways.16 And we are learning in a similar way every week in Come, Follow Me.   ACU Endorsed Charities -------------------------------------------------------- Pre-Born! This powerful exploration of 1 Samuel chapters 1-3 invites us to examine the difference between knowing about God and truly knowing Him. We encounter Hannah, an underrated biblical figure whose desperate prayer and radical vow reveal what happens when inherited theology becomes experienced theology. Her story reminds us that our completeness isn't found in earthly relationships or circumstances, but in God alone. The text challenges us with a sobering reality: Samuel grew up sleeping near the Ark of the Covenant yet didn't recognize God's voice. This teaches us that proximity to godly things doesn't equal intimacy with God. We can attend church, read Scripture, and sing worship songs while our hearts remain distant. The central question becomes deeply personal: Do we merely possess a spiritual map handed down through generations, or have we embarked on the journey ourselves? Have the stories we've heard become the songs we sing? This message calls us beyond intellectual assent to experiential faith, where Jesus isn't just theoretically the Way, the Truth, and the Life, but practically our Savior, Chain-Breaker, and Way-Maker. It's an invitation to move from secondhand religion to firsthand relationship, from knowing the right answers to experiencing the living God.

Praise Series #22 His Love Endures ForeverPsalm 136 “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever.Give thanks to the God of gods.  His love endures forever.  Give thanks to the Lord of lords: His love endures forever. To him who alone does great wonders, His love endures forever.Who, by his understanding, made the heavens, his love endures forever.who spread out the earth upon the waters, His love endures forever.  Who made the great lights—His love endures forever.  The sun to govern the day, His love endures forever.
the moon and stars to govern the night; His love endures forever. To him who struck down the firstborn of Egypt, His love endures forever.
and brought Israel out from among them. His love endures forever.with a mighty hand and outstretched arm; His love endures forever.to him who divided the Red Sea[a] asunder His love endures forever.
and brought Israel through the midst of it, His love endures forever.
but swept Pharaoh and his army into the Red Sea; His love endures forever.to him who led his people through the wilderness; His love endures forever. To him who struck down great kings, His love endures forever.
and killed mighty kings—His love endures forever.
Sihon, king of the Amorites, His love endures forever.
and Og, king of Bashan—His love endures forever.
and gave their land as an inheritance. His love endures forever.
An inheritance to his servant Israel. His love endures forever. He remembered us in our low estate. His love endures forever. And freed us from our enemies. His love endures forever.
He gives food to every creature. His love endures forever.Give thanks to the God of heaven. His love endures forever.I know this verse is a lot longer than I usually do.  I usually pick a verse or two, and this is all 26 verses of this Psalm.  Psalm 136:6 “who spread out the earth upon the waters, His love endures forever” was the verse that led me to this Psalm in the first place.  I decided to read the whole Psalm as I felt perhaps this was a small part of something bigger.  When I read the whole thing, I instantly felt like I should share the whole thing.  Since the phrase “His love endures forever” is repeated throughout the whole Psalm, I thought I would just take that out to make it shorter and just repeat it after each section.  However, when I had that thought, I immediately got the sense God wanted me to leave it in there.  I felt He was saying to me that we need to have that reminder over and over again today.  This Psalm today has two purposes.  First and foremost, to remind you over and over again, so many times, that there is no way you can forget that God's love endures forever.  Forever is a very long time.  It means it never goes away.  God's love lasts forever; it doesn't say it lasts a lifetime, it says forever.  It doesn't say that His love lasts until you do something He doesn't like, it says forever.  It doesn't say that it endures until you get sick or are in a seemingly impossible situation, and then it goes away.  It says it endures forever.  It also doesn't say that His love endures forever as long as you don't walk away, as long as you do all the things you are supposed to do, or as long as you get it right all the time.  No, it says His love endures forever, and that's it.  There are no conditions placed on it; there is no requirement for you. God has loved you from the beginning of time, and He will continue to love you forever, regardless of circumstances.  That is pretty amazing when you really think about it.  Who else can you say that about?  Whose love will endure forever, regardless of your actions and regardless of time?  The second purpose of this psalm today is to remind us of some of the remarkable things God has done for us over the years.  The sense I am getting this morning is that some of you listening to this episode may be struggling with feeling God's Love right now. Maybe you are sick, and you feel as though He is not answering your prayers.  Maybe you are feeling stuck in a family situation that seems impossible and feel as though He is not hearing your prayers.  Maybe nothing in particular is wrong; you just don't really feel a sense that God is with you right now.  Whatever your particular circumstance is, God wants you to know that He is speaking directly to you today.  He hears you, He is answering your prayers, He loves you, and most importantly, He is right there with you through it all.  This Psalm is for you.  This is your heavenly Father letting you know that His love endures forever, and just as he did all these things for His people in the past, He will do just as much for you.  He is moving mountains in your life. He is preparing you for amazing things, you just can't see it yet.  Hang in there, your miracle is coming!!“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. Give thanks to the God of gods.  Give thanks to the Lord of lords: to him who alone does great wonders, who by his understanding made the heavens, who spread out the earth upon the waters, who made the great lights— the sun to govern the day, the moon and stars to govern the night;”  Can you imagine how powerful God must be to create the whole universe.  He made the heavens, the earth, the sun, the moon, and the stars, just for us. Every time you look at the sun, the moon, or the stars, you can think of how much God loves you.  Hopefully, after hearing this verse, when you look at them, it will be a reminder to you that His love endures forever.  When you can't feel God's love or His Presence in your life, look to the sun, moon, or stars and remember His promise that His love endures forever.  “To him who struck down the firstborn of Egypt and brought Israel out from among them with a mighty hand and outstretched arm; to him who divided the Red Sea asunder and brought Israel through the midst of it, but swept Pharaoh and his army into the Red Sea; to him who led his people through the wilderness;”  Imagine if God can do all of this for His people, what He will do for you.  God did not just strike down the firstborn of Egypt; He gave the Pharaoh multiple chances to let the Lord's people go.  He also told His people what to do so that their firstborn children would not be lost.  He divided the Red Sea for His people.  They felt lost; they could not see a way out with the Red Sea on one side and an army closing in on the other.  I am sure many of them felt as if God had led them to their death.  Yet, God made a way where there wasn't one.  He did not just lead them to freedom; he also destroyed their enemies, the army that was pursuing them.  God will do the same for you!  He will make a way where you don't see one.  He will make a way back from this illness, out of the family situation, out of the work situation, and out of any other situation you find yourself in, no matter how impossible it seems.  He is the Waymaker. He always finds a way.  “To him who struck down great kings, and killed mighty kings—Sihon king of the Amorites and Og king of Bashan—and gave their land as an inheritance, an inheritance to his servant Israel.”  The Lord gave His people an inheritance.  The people entering these fights did not always think they would be victorious.  Sometimes, many times, over the years, God's people were outnumbered.  They would go into battle knowing that they were not only outnumbered, but also had fewer weapons, fewer resources, fewer everything.  They definitely wouldn't have been favored to win if people were betting based on appearances.  However, what they did have was the favor of God.  That is all they needed.  No matter how hopeless your situation seems, God has the power to fix it, to save you from it, and to bring you out of it.  We just have to keep relying on Him and waiting for His time, now our time.  He has struck down kings; he can surely take care of what is in your way.  God's got you!  He will save you.“He remembered us in our low estate and freed us from our enemies. He gives food to every creature. Give thanks to the God of heaven.”  God remembers you always, not just when everything is going great, and you are high on life.  He remembers you when you are at your lowest as well.  He has freed His people from so many enemies, and He will free you, too.  If there is one thing we have learned from reviewing all these things the Lord has done for us, it is that nothing is too great for Him. There is no enemy too powerful, no situation too complicated for the Lord our God.  The verse ends with “Give thanks to the God of heaven.”  I think you will be surprised by how far the smallest amount of gratitude will get you.  The Lord has done so many incredible things, and He really loves it when we acknowledge that.  Who doesn't like to be appreciated, right?  We owe everything to the Lord.  We have no idea how many things He has saved us from throughout each day, and then when you add in all the things He has done for us.  We could never repay Him, and He is not asking us to.  However, we can thank Him.  We can let Him know how grateful we are.  If you want to see God more at work in your lives, I challenge you to take 5 minutes or less out of your day and intentionally thank the Lord of all you have seen Him do in your life that day.  I bet, if you do this, you will begin to see more and more.  I am not sure if God is actually doing more and more when we intentionally thank Him, or if He is doing the same, but we are just noticing more.  Either way, you will see the Lord more at work in your life when you begin to be grateful for each thing you notice.  I want to leave you with the phrase we have heard most today, “His Love endures forever.”Dear Heavenly Father, I ask you to bless all those listening to this episode today.  Lord, you are amazing, and we are so grateful for all the things you have done for your people throughout the ages.  We are so grateful that you love us so much.  Lord, thank you for giving us a love that endures forever.  Thank you for taking care of our enemies and protecting us from all things.  Thank you for being more powerful than everything else.  Thank you for making a way when we can't see one.  We are so grateful that your ways are higher than our ways and your thoughts higher than our thoughts.  We would be lost without you, Lord.  Father, help us to be more grateful for all that you do.  Help us to take time out of our days to intentionally try to see you at work in our lives.  We love you so much, Lord, help us to feel your love.  You are truly awe-inspiring, and we ask all of this in accordance with your will and in Jesus' holy name, Amen.Thank you so much for joining me on this journey to walk boldly with Jesus.  I look forward to spending time with you again tomorrow. Remember, Jesus loves you, just as you are, and so do I! Have a blessed day!Today's Word from the Lord was received in August 2025 by a member of my Catholic Charismatic Prayer Group. If transformation is the goal, how do we preach grace without lowering the standard? In this message from Waymaker.Church, we explore how grace doesn't remove the call to change—it replaces self-effort with God's power. Walking through Ephesians 2, we see that transformation begins with resurrection, not self-improvement, and that belonging comes before doing. Grace removes the pressure to prove ourselves and reorders obedience as a response, not a performance. Discover how grace-fueled obedience leads to real, lasting transformation.

Be Anxious for Nothing: A Call to Surrender, Peace, and TrustIn this deeply moving service, we journey through intimate worship and a timely word from God that speaks straight to the restless, overwhelmed heart. From the opening declaration—“Way Maker, Miracle Worker”—to the closing prayer of blessing and covering, this service invites you to slow down, breathe, and make room again for Jesus, the One who truly is the answer to it all.God's voice breaks through the worship with clarity and compassion:Stop trying to hold everything together.Stop manipulating outcomes.Stop doing life in your own strength.Come back into rest.Come back into surrender.Drawing from Philippians 4 and Matthew 4, this message reminds us that peace is not found in control, performance, or striving… but in trust. True life is found in the Word of God. Stability is found in anchoring your thoughts in what is true, pure, and admirable. And fulfillment is found in placing Jesus at the center—above every priority, desire, and fear. This episode closes with a powerful prayer of rededication, covering, and blessing:fresh strength, fresh opportunities, fresh Word, open doors, and divine favor for the week ahead.Whether you're listening at home, at work, or on the go, prepare to be drawn back into the presence of God—and into a peace that surpasses all understanding

Send us a textWhat happens when the child you love suddenly can't face the day—and the usual fixes don't work? We open up about a mother's unseen caregiving: guiding her son through anxiety and depression after a cross-country move collided with the uncertainty of COVID. The story moves beyond clichés, touching the raw places—shame when friends don't understand, judgment from well-meaning people, and the weary loop of doing “all the right things” without a breakthrough—until a quiet yes to counseling, community, and a carefully chosen low-dose medication turned the tide.We talk candidly about how faith and mental health care can work together, not against each other. You'll hear what it looks like to advocate at school, track real progress, and hold steady when improvement comes in fits and starts. The spiritual arc is honest and personal: praying on the closet floor, realizing God loves the caregiver as much as the child, and releasing control with the words, “I'm writing his testimony—stop trying to steal the pen.” Along the way, small markers of hope begin to shine: a safe church home, notes from attentive teachers, an eighth-grade tribute to kindness, and a seventh-grade “Waymaker” testimony that reframed the pain with purpose. If you're navigating child anxiety, caregiver burnout, or the gray space between prayer and practical help, this conversation offers tools and comfort: how to discern when chemistry is part of the problem, why persistence in seeking support matters, and how a simple nightly gratitude practice can re-anchor a family. We also share Shelli's upcoming Bible study, “Rise: How to Get Back Up After Life Knocks You Down,” built on Ezra 10:4 and designed to help you take the next faithful step from the valley to solid ground. If this spoke to you, follow the show, share it with someone who needs hope today, and leave a review so others can find these stories of quiet, steady resilience.

Today, the Spotlight shines On musician, software engineer, and plug-in developer Aqeel Aadam.Aqeel's got deep roots in Philadelphia's music scene—his grandfather was a jazz musician who gifted him his first guitar. That foundation led him from Princeton's computer science and music programs to a five-year stint at Google, and eventually to creating his own company, Aqeel Aadam Sound. His plug-ins aim to bring the magic of hardware synthesizers and modular workflows into the digital realm. Aqeel Aadam is a musician, sound designer, and plugin developer blending modular synthesis with a love of nature and organic textures. Through his company, Aqeel Aadam Sound, he creates audio plugins for the curious and open-minded. He creates tools that spark inspiration rather than dictate outcomes. Aqeel and I explore the connection between nature and synthesis, the power of limitations in creativity, and how modular gear shapes his sonic world. We talk about learning through struggle, designing plugins that encourage play over perfection, and finding joy in the unpredictable. Aqeel shares his story of learning guitar from his jazz-guitarist grandfather, discovering modular synthesis in college, and developing a suite of expressive, visually rich plugins like Ridgewalk, Waymaker, and Weeping Wall. Listen on Apple | Spotify | YouTube Takeaways: Plugins for the Curious & Open-Minded – Aqeel designs tools that prioritize exploration over precision, encouraging musicians to discover unexpected results through experimentation. Modular Meets Nature – His music and visual plugin interfaces reflect his deep love of nature and organic textures, merging the electronic and the natural in both form and function. Learning Through Struggle – From self-teaching guitar to building plugins, Aqeel embraces the idea that struggling through something is essential to meaningful learning. Designing for Musical Flow – Rather than overloading plugins with technical features, Aqeel focuses on simplicity, usability, and play, so musicians can stay in the creative zone. From Guitar to Eurorack – His journey from jazz guitar to modular synths and plugin development reflects a wide-ranging approach to music-making and sound design. Improvisation as Composition – Aqeel's performances and recordings often begin with semi-generative modular systems, allowing spontaneity to guide structure and form. Inspiration Over Information – His plugins don't just process sound—they invite interaction and interpretation, helping users find their voice through curiosity. Contextual Composition – Like an impressionist painter, Aqeel aims to place abstract textures into recognizable musical frameworks that resonate emotionally. Visual Interfaces Matter – From growing circular meters to mountainous visualizers, Aqeel's plugins look as fun as they sound—inviting creators to explore without intimidation. Building an Ecosystem – With plugins like Waymaker interacting with his other tools, Aqeel is creating a modular digital environment where small ideas lead to big creative breakthroughs.
