René Kneyber and Valentina Devid are two of the founders of Toetsrevolutie (Test Revolution), a teacher training cooperative based in the Netherlands which specialises in formative assessment, summative assessment and curriculum design. René and Valentina are also two of the four authors of an excellent new book - Formative Action - the English translation of which was published in April 2024. René was the first person to introduce formative assessment in the Netherlands. But while he could immediately see the benefits of this idea in his own classroom, when he started talking about it with other people, he soon found that the language was getting in the way. It's not really about assessment. It's about the actions teachers take in response to the assessment activities they undertake. So he changed the name to formative action, and created a model which overcomes many of the problems experienced previously in the field of formative assessment. The book is absolutely brilliant - concise, super-clear and practicable - and in this conversation we take a deep dive working our way through the five steps of the formative action model in its entirety. Striesow kommt am 1. Oktober 1973 auf der bevölkerungsreichsten Insel Deutschlands zur Welt: in Bergen auf Rügen.Striesow wächst in Rostock auf. Nach der Schule zieht er nach Berlin. Er will Goldschmied werden. Daraus wird aber nichts, weil der Betrieb pleitegeht, bevor er dort anfängt.Zum Glück grätscht 1989 der Mauerfall dazwischen, weshalb der damals 16-jährige Striesow noch das Abitur macht.Danach studiert er Jazz-Gitarre, macht den Zivi und landet im Anschluss in der Schauspielschule Ernst Busch in Berlin.Er beginnt noch im Abschlussjahr 1999 Theater zu spielen. Zum Teil sehr erfolgreich. 2004 zeichnet ihn etwa die Zeitschrift „Theater heute“ mit der Auszeichnung „Bester Nachwuchsschauspieler des Jahres“ aus.Sein Spielfilmdebüt gibt er im Januar 2000 mit „Amerika“. Seitdem ist er regelmäßig in Kino und TV, in Serien und Filmen zu sehen.Etwa 2007 in Christian Petzolds „Yella“ an der Seite von Nina Hoss und Stefan Ruzowitzkys KZ-Drama „Die Fälscher“. Baiano de Alagoinhas, o atacante Devid de Santana Silva começou se destacando no tradicional time de sua cidade, a Catuense, até se transferir para o Atlético Goianiense.
