I've made some excellent progress with my latest film project, The Arbiters. It's in development and I've been working on the script. About halfway through the first draft, I decided to go back and polish what I had so far thanks to notes I'd written along the way for myself. That, and my collaborate and I met. He gave me excellent notes, which reinforced that what I had written only needed polishing, not a page one rewrite. That felt good. Also what helped me was studying all of Makoto Shinkai's early filmography—movies such as Children Who Chase Lost voices, 5 Centimeters Per Second, and The Place Promised in Our Early Days). I also talk about work I've been doing with the Financially Fit Foundation, a non-profit organization that I'm a part of.
