What is a Human Design Projector? Projectors are here to help us grow and evolve through unusual methods of leadership. For this month's podcast, hear about Gloria Gaynor, Human Design Projector and owner of 9 different voices. To listen to this podcast on Youtube, go here.>> Table of contentsWhat Is a Human Design Projector? Some Famous ExamplesHuman Design Projectors - More ExamplesMore or Less Sacral Chakra Energy?Back to Gloria Gaynor - Guess ThisGloria Gaynor's Throat ChakraA Human Design Projector with Many VoicesOrigins of I Will SurviveThere's a Movie Out About Gloria, Too What Is a Human Design Projector? There are 5 types to Human Design and Gloria Gaynor is a Projector type. What is a Human Design Projector?  They are the new leaders and guides of human development as we currently know it. So what does Gloria Gaynor's story have to do with being a Human Design Projector? If her birthdate is indeed 7th September 1943, then according to the software I use to calculate her Human Design, she is a Projector Type. A Human Design Projector is a type of human that has been incarnating since the mid-1700s in our most recent human history. Projectors are designed to be a new type of leader and guide for humanity, replacing Manifestor (types like me). A Projector is someone who can connect with the energy of a group or an individual to help them achieve a goal, project or even a movement. Some Famous Examples Some examples of famous Projectors from the recent past are: - Winston Churchill Queen Elizabeth II Nelson Mandela and Napoleon. (Napoleon wasn't a particularly evolved example of a human being, since he carried out some war atrocities during his time, but he definitely knew how to lead and get people to follow him). Human Design Projectors - More Examples Some examples of present-time Projectors are: - Barack Obama Pablo Picasso Steven Spielberg Princess Anne Princess Royal Taylor Swift and, of course, Gloria Gaynor. Projectors are non-Sacral beings, like Manifestors.  More or Less Sacral Chakra Energy? If you are a non-Sacral being (about 30% of the population), it means you must work with your energy differently to be effective than other types who have a defined Sacral Chakra. Projectors and Manifestors have less consistent energy than the majority of people on Earth, such as Generators and Manifesting Generators.  Generator Types have consistent access to their Sacral energy and can work continuously until they drop. Non-Sacral Types like Projectors and Manifestors can experience burn out more easily, even if sometimes they can act as if they have lots of Sacral Chakra Energy.  This access to extra energy usually comes from their involvement with another person or group. Back to Gloria Gaynor - Guess This If I asked you for one thing Gloria Gaynor is well known for, I think I might know what you would say the song: - I will survive! Gloria Gaynor's keynote hit has long been a favorite, but when she first released the song, it was seen as only good enough for a B side, when we had such a thing! Gloria knew that this song appealed to people on many levels from the audience response when she sang it.  Her then-husband, who was her manager, was not in agreement with her that it should be a hit. So, it was released as the B-side to a Righteous Brothers Song called ‘Substitute'. Read the original story at: - The Story of... 'I Will Survive' by Gloria Gaynor - Smooth (smoothradio.com) Gloria Gaynor's Throat Chakra What amazed me when I looked at Gloria Gaynor's chart was the amount of voice gates that she has activated in her Throat Chakra. I wrote a post a while about Life Purposes and mentioned Paulo Coehlo, a famous writer who you may know as the author of the best-selling spiritual book called The Alchemist.I thought Paulo had plenty of throat gates open and active,

It's by Paulo Coehlo, author of the bestselling book, The Alchemist.  This quote has many meanings, but to me it exemplifies how we try to stay safe, tucked away in our own little world, staying out of harms way. The loss of our spouse has left us feeling insecure and vulnerable.  The thing is, it's okay to stay in port for a while, to regroup, to recoup. This week as I asked and opened myself up to receive inspiration, I have been inspired by trees. I love the beauty of trees and the symbolism. It is currently the start of fall in New England. The colors are starting to unfold. I just love the varied yellows, oranges, and reds. Waliking in the woods is a delight. Cool temps, breezes, brilliance of colors, and the sense of transformation. Mother nature in all her brilliance. Paulo Coehlo said- “In a forest of a hundred thousand trees, no two leaves are alike. And no two journeys along the same path are alike." I love this. Leaves are ever changing and unique as are we. Sometimes, are transformations present themselves with delight while other times it is through pain that we transform. “our journeys are unique to us” I invite you to get into a comfortable position as we prepare for meditation. Eyes may be open or soft gaze.

What is your deepest desire—the one that keeps you up at night because you want it so badly? Maybe you know immediately, or maybe you haven't allowed yourself to think about it for a while. In this episode on the classic short and spiritual novel The Alchemist by Paulo Coehlo, allow yourself to listen to your heart and hear the dreams it is speaking to you just as Santiago does at the beginning of his journey to his own dream. Santiago faces great discouragements on his journey—his entire fortune is stolen from him not once, not twice, but thrice—but as he forges on, he learns that everything going on around him, even the things that seem bad at the time, is the universe's way of leading him to exactly where he needs to be. As his faith in the universe and his own heart grows stronger, Santiago becomes a master of taking leaps of faith. He transforms himself and in so doing transforms the world around him, just like a true alchemist.  As you listen to this meditation, you'll be invited to get quiet and listen to your own deep desires in the same way that Santiago does in the book. It's this deep listening that leads him to adventure into new territories, both physical and spiritual. This episode is a reminder to listen to the deepest murmurings of desire that you feel. If you desire it, there's a reason for that and you'll make the universe a better, truer, happier place by fulfilling it.What did you think of this episode? However, this led to burnout, so Jack sold all his possessions and set off on a bicycle tour as a nomadic troubadour. He travelled through 45 countries, playing hundreds of house concerts in return for a place to sleep. He recorded many of his crazy adventures in his songs, and through those—plus countless self-help books and podcasts, as well as yoga, Ayurveda and Vipassana meditation—he grew and grew to become a unique modern-day troubadour. This week's Misfit Entrepreneur is Jamie Meyer. Jamie is the founder of Nine Carat Business Consulting, a firm that has been named one of the Top Australian consulting firms and Jamie has been named one of the Top Australian business strategists. She has a unique focus on clarity and focus into where businesses breakdown and how to prevent or overcome these issues. As Jamie says, her mission is to reinvigorate businesses, their foundation, future, and approach to progress. Nine Carat strives to mine the gold of everyone and everything giving the ability to close the gap between where a business is and where it wants to be. I'm excited for her to share how she does it. https://www.ninecarat.net/ When Jamie was younger, she was the kid that wanted to change the world. As she got older, she got more serious about life. She started working full time at a very early age doing everything from hauling frozen fish to working night shift in the container business. Business came naturally to her. She ultimately ended up running a business in Brisbane, AU that was integrating companies and she was really frustrated because of all the lost potential she could see through the process and the fact that her hands were tied by leadership in doing anything about it. So, she went out and created 9 Carat out of her frustration and to gain control. The company has evolved greatly, and she now works with major companies helping them step into new areas in their business. Why did you choose the name 9-Carat for your business? She moved into a house next to a little old couple. The husband was a graphic designer and helped her design the look and logo of 9-Carat. There were 9 areas she wanted to focus on in companies. People would tell her that she would sparkle, and clients would tell her she was a diamond. And diamonds are forged under intense pressure – which is sort of the story of her life. Take us through your process of how you do what you do and get the results you get for your clients… Companies are unique as human beings and have individuality. There are no one-size fits all path to success for companies. Clarity and expectation are key. You must have clarity of where you are at and where you want to go and why. And the set the expectations needed to get there. How does a business or business owner get “clarity?” Where you have synergy, you have clarity. If things feel hard, you don't have synergy or clarity. The way you get clarity is specific to each business, but every business must be clear on their purpose and vision – and those are the basis for getting clarity. What is the difference between purpose and vision? Purpose is your motivation. It is the ground on which you are taking steps to doing an anything. It aligns with your vision. Vision is where your imagination comes in and you can see what that physically manifests into in a market. Your vision is driven by your motivation. You must be clear on both and must be synergistic with each other and coincide. Purpose is the foundation and vision is the framework. Where should a business owner start when it comes to purpose and vision? Purpose – your vision will come together as you figure out your purpose and motivation. Talk about expectations and how they relate to clarity. How does expectation play a role in achieving the vision? There are 2 sides to expectation. The first is the expectation that currently exists in business models – most of the time, they are actually limiting and don't give much room for leeway. The goal is to re-write the expectations to facilitate substance from people. If you have clarity, everyone will be working toward the vision – how can you expand their expectation or give them the room to contribute their genius in a bigger way and expand it themselves? Let their “unsolicited genius” standout! Where do see companies have the most problems or breakdown the most? It really is around clarity and expectation. Jamie dives in on this at the 17 min mark and it is best to just listen. A focus just on rules/bureaucracy creates a company full of robots and processing what it is front of them. Companies put in more and more rules when the lack clarity and expectation. What is success setting and understanding alchemy and bionomics to achieve it? Bionomics is relations in interactions between organisms and their environment. It takes into account every action a business has and how it interacts with its market. Most companies do a lot of things right but understanding why they work so well in one area and then applying that to another area that isn't doing so well is the key. Alchemy is the work that Jamie and the client does together to make things shine. It's turning where they are into a new version of success or converting something a much better version of what it is thought to be. At the 27 min mark, we talk about the book, The Alchemist by Paulo Coehlo and how that has impacted us. What is the most important thing you do for your business every day as an entrepreneur? Be grateful every day for it. Every day, show it a little bit of love. What are some of the best lessons you've learned as an entrepreneur that have helped you the most? The only person standing in your way is yourself. We don't realize the conditioned idea of limitation that we have in our lives. Always do something that you've never done – be bold. Best advice for an entrepreneur starting out? Put blinders on to the rest of the world. Put blinders on to the market and competition. Create a business that you are motivated by. Create a vision that speaks to you. What have you learned about working internationally? You must have patience. Do not get bogged down trying to understand everything – you won't. You will learn as you go. And what you think you need to know many times is irrelevant.   Best Quote: Where you have synergy, you have clarity. If things feel hard, you don't have synergy or clarity.   Jamie's Misfit 3: Always remember the point right when you are about to give up is where the magic happens – don't give up. Always be your own hero. Always be the novice, but don't assume everyone already knows what you know.    Show Sponsors: Five Minute Journal www.MisfitEntrepreneur.com/Journal   The David vs. Goliath Podcast Search "David vs. Goliath Podcast" where you listen for podcasts

Merriam-Webster's definition of inspiration is “to move or guide by divine influence.” This episode, we are talking to someone who embodies this more than anyone else we know, and has literally wrote the book on it.  We're talking about our friend and colleague Light Watkins (@lightwatkins). If you haven't heard of him, you will notice him now. He's a world-famous Vedic Meditation teacher to A-list celebrities, big time entrepreneurs, and a whole lot of normal people, too. He's written three books, his latest one, “Knowing Where to Look: 108 Daily Doses of Inspiration,” is on bedside tables everywhere (including ours). Light describes first-hand some of his leaps of faith that have led him to be the figure he is today–how he dropped his ad job and moved to Paris with no money or contacts on a whim, how he got rid of everything he owned except for what he could fit in a backpack in order to live a minimalist, nomadic existence for a while. Just hearing his stories will make you want to embark on something bold and daring.

Today, we're talking about something that I think is fairly confident is universal for most of you who are tuning in — and that is this concept of having a busy brain. How do we shut off the constant firing? The input? The inboxes?! All of these pieces of information that our brains are handling on a daily basis?   To help facilitate this conversation there are a lot of experts that we could have brought on, but I believe there is no better expert suited to this discussion than Dr. Romie Mushtaq! Dr. Romie is an expert on brain health and a triple board-certified neurologist. As someone who is traditionally trained, Dr. Romie has been frustrated by what she has seen over and over again in clinical practice when it comes to the intersection of our hormonal health as women and how that influences the performance of our brains. In particular, she is focused on functional and integrative medicine, the intersection of our hormones and our brains, and how the choices that we make on a daily basis influence what's happening above our shoulders.   In this episode, we're approaching this conversation from an entirely different angle than we ever have before. Dr. Romie breaks down the concept of a “busy brain,” how we can begin to address it, what a “sensory reset” is and how it can lead us down the path of “turning off” our brains, and everything we need to know about the patterns of inflammation in the brain and how they show up.   This is a deeply fascinating conversation and I cannot wait for you all to tune in!   Key Takeaways: [1:21] About today's episode with Dr. Romie Mushtaq! David Bach is back for round 2!! David is one of America’s most trusted financial experts and bestselling financial authors of our time and previously appeared on Episode 21 for those of you that missed it. Today, we discuss the journey behind his new book The Latte Factor, which has already become an international bestseller. David shares his story of a dinner with Paulo Coehlo, author of The Alchemist and one of my favorites, that led to him finally writing this story after putting it off for over 10 years and why this story is so different from his previous 9 NYTimes Bestsellers. We also get into why it’s so important for financial advisors to get in front of millennial clients right now, the power of buying your children shares of stock in their favorite companies, key factors that allow financial advisors to sell their firms for huge multiples, and why growth doesn’t have to mean less freedom. I think it will be clear after this conversation that David isn’t just some talking head who only sells books, but really knows our industry at a deep level.   FREE OFFER Get a FREE Copy of David’s Book, The Latte Factor: Why You Don't Have to Be Rich to Live Rich. Henry David Thoreau said: "Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you imagined." In this episode's interview, Mark speaks with musician and writer Tommy Ray about how he had done just that. They talk about Tommy's experience of how he took a dream (an actual dream) and transitioned it into reality by listening to his heart and trusting his instincts in recreating his life. Before the interview Mark shares a quick personal update that includes: Being interviewed by Joanna Penn for a forthcoming episode of The Creative Penn podcast, which will air on Dec 24, 2018 A shout-out to Patrons of the show who support this podcast via www.patreon.com/starkreflections - By saving up the monthly funds Mark was able to order a higher quality microphone for the podcast The printed proof copies of THE 7 P'S OF PUBLISHING SUCCESS that Mark sourced locally, but will be distributing to all retailers as a POD file through Draft2Digital's new beta D2DPRINT option The "Kobo Publishing: Getting Your Book Featured" Webinar Mark will be hosting via Reedsy Live on Wed Dec 5th Mark then shares a word about the podcast's sponsor, Findaway Voices . . .In their chat, Mark and Tommy talk about: The origin of Tommy's dream mid year in 2015 that had him jumping into his pickup truck and traveling across America to play and share his music How Tommy was also inspired by books from authors Paulo Coehlo and Dan Millman as well as music from artists like Cat Stevens How long music has been a part of Tommy's life (including a memorable photo of Tommy as a young child standing next to a guitar) The concept of being "meant to live a creative life" Music Tommy wrote that was derived from the experience of following the creative dream The preplanning that involved reaching out to 100 venues Tommy had intended on playing in (but not having heard back from any of them) The two award nominations that Tommy rec'd prior to his trip (which altered his trip from a full year to 7 week one, where he drove through 15 trips and clocked 9,000 miles) Zama (population 36), the town where Tommy was born and where his father lived most of his life How Tommy's experience as a musician intertwines with his creative writing The extensive research that Tommy did to teach himself writing, and to learn about publishing and how to find support, such as editors and cover designers for his books Tommy's use of 3 editors on his book RAMBLING ACROSS AMERICA Maintaining passion, strength and integrity when the road is difficult Tommy's temporary return to a day job where he currently is: St. Croix of the US Virgin Islands The preference Tommy has for playing his own music rather than playing cover songs at the local bar The way that being on stage as a musician is easier for Tommy than the prose he shares via the page The new series of dark/horror fiction that Tommy has started writing, inspired by actual dreams and actual mental and emotional torment, starting with the book MIRROR OF PERCEPTION How you should never take this life for granted and how you can leave your mark on this world in a positive and optimistic way After the interview, Mark talks about Tommy's creativity and his relentless optimism and passion for living a creative life. He finds it fitting that, at the same time he was producing this episode he was watching his friend Julie Strauss post updates about the catch-up she has been doing on her latest novel for NaNoWriMo.  What Mark loves about the past week of writing sprints in which Julie is trying to catch up for some lost writing time during the month, that love is that, as frustrated and restless as she is, she hasn't once stopped digging into the work with all her heart and soul. And she is turning the angst into hilarious and cheeky updates so many other writers are cheering her on for while being entertained by her musings of the writer's struggle. Mark then plays a short sample of Tommy's song Zama, reflecting on the creative life and the places we have all called home, lived in and loved. He desires all to leave their mark, do not take this life for granted, as well as never give up on your dreams. He has always been inspired by travel adventure tales of real-life journeys. He always had a voice inside of him telling him he desired to live his life through a creative voice. For many years, he ignored the voice to follow other endeavors, but the voice was always there and increasing in volume. Tommy loves to travel, write, compose, blog along with performing. He decided it was how he desired to spend his life. “Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations,”-Unknown. To add to his catalog, he recently created the “Amid the Blackness” series. Short stories which fall in the suspense category. Keep a look-out for upcoming music from Tommy Ray along with future books as “The Country Boy.”
