Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com I'm Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Friday, July 23, 2021. This update is brought to you by IndyWrestling.us. (STINGER: WWE) Tonight's SmackDown is going to be unlike any that have come before. Part of the show will broadcast from the Rolling Loud hip-hop festival in Miami - including at least two matches: Bianca Belair defending the SmackDown Women's Championship against Carmella...and Big E vs. Apollo Crews. Part of a video screen at the festival site collapsed on Thursday. No one was injured. Repairs are expected to be complete in time for the festival to open as scheduled. The rest of tonight's SmackDown will emanate from Cleveland's Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. John Cena is set to appear LIVE. WWE is also promoting the SmackDown debut of Toni Storm. We have a new date for the NXT UK Championship match between WALTER and Ilja Dragunov. It'll happen in the United States...at TakeOver 36...on August 22nd. Pretty Deadly still hold the NXT UK Tag Titles. They beat Subculture's Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster on Thursday's show. (STINGER: Impact) Bullet Club's dirty laundry was aired out on last night's Impact Wrestling. Jay White was in the Impact Zone last night. He said he's in Impact to go after David Finlay ahead of their upcoming match at New Japan's Resurgence show. Then, White - the leader of Bullet Club - directly addressed The Elite. He said the Good Brothers bid to rejoin the group was denied...though White said they can appeal his decision if they want. This drew out the Good Brothers and Kenny Omega. After some verbal sparring, the Good Brothers attacked White. That's when Chris Bey ran out to rescue White. Earlier in the show, White offered Bey a spot in Bullet Club. Bey has yet to formally accept the offer. Anyway...It'll be White & Bey vs. the Good Brothers on next week's Impact. Bey opened last night's Impact by pinning Rohit Raju with the Art Of Finesse. As for Omega, he literally bumped into the X-Division Champion Josh Alexander backstage. It appears we could be heading toward a showdown between those two. Havok & Rosemary beat Fire n' Flava to retain the Knockouts Tag Titles in last night's main event. One-half of Fire n' Flava - Kiera Hogan - announced earlier in the day that this latest set of tapings is her last with Impact. She told fans she's going to “see what else is out there for me”. Matt Cardona, Jake Something, & Chelsea Green beat Tenille Dashwood, Sam Beale, & Brian Myers. Green pinned Beale with the Unprettier. Taylor Wilde returned to Impact during this match...and interrupted Kaleb With A K's interference. FinJuice beat Ace Austin & Madman Fulton. Juice Robinson rolled up Fulton for the pin. Eddie Edwards and W. Morrissey brawled in the parking lot outside the Skyway Studios. Morrissey retreated after Edwards found a pair of kendo sticks. Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo accepted an invitation from Mickie James to defend her title at the NWA Empowerrr pay per view next month. (STINGER: AEW) Thunder Rosa is All Elite. AEW announced she's now with the company full-time after breaking early from her contract with the NWA...which was supposed to run through the end of the year. (STINGER: ROH) This weekend's Ring Of Honor TV has PCO vs. Sledge...Flip Gordon vs. World Famous CB...and a 3-Way involving Dalton Castle, Dak Draper and Eli Isom. Jonathan Gresham will defend the Pure Title against his fellow Foundation member Rhett Titus at the Glory By Honor show in Philadelphia on Friday, August 20th. (STINGER: New Japan) New Japan's Hiromu Takahashi tweeted Thursday he's been cleared by doctors to return to action. Takahashi has been out with a torn pectoral muscle. New Japan's Summer Struggle tour rolls on Friday. On Thursday's show…Taichi scored a big win over Tetsuya Naito in the main event. The semi-main between SANADA and Zack Sabre Jr. ended in a double pinfall. Friday's Summer Struggle show has Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. KENTA in the main event. Plus,. Tomohiro Ishii vs. EVIL. In Pro-Wrestling NOAH...Masa Kitamiya & Kaito Kiyomiya are the new GHC tag champions...after defeating Katsuhiko Nakajima & Manabu Soya on Thursday. Francesco Akira's reign as All Japan Junior Heavyweight Champion is already over after less than a month. He was dethroned by Sugi on Thursday. The main event saw Jake Lee's first defense of the Triple Crown Championship. He beat Shotaro Ashino. That's JUST Pro Wrestling News for ______. This is technically the first episode of this podcast, & we recorded it before I even knew what I wanted to call it. We actually thought of the name as soon as I stopped recording, which is what made me go back and record the Intro episode first. In this episode I talked with my friend Oreo Jones about his life as an artist in Indiana. From rapping to starting bands to starting a cooking show to creating our Hip-Hop Festival here in Indy, he's done it all & inspired me alot in the past years. He's also partially the reason why I had the confidence this podcast. Its so many people like him here that get an idea & believe in it and just start going through with it, and thats something alot of people are afraid to do. So once you get past how awkward I sound since I never did this before, I hope you enjoy this convo I had with my bro. I hope it inspires you to get up and get something done as well! All we got is time. For most regular people, social media is an escape and source of fun. But for most artists, social media is a source of pressure and anxiety. This is because we have to use it to promote our careers and engage with fans without being too pushy, which can be a tough balancing act. In this episode, we break down ten simple ways to get more engagement on social media; what we call the Social Media Cheat Code. This episode will sound and look a little different because it was recorded in front of a live studio audience as part of the 2019 2x2 Hip-Hop Festival's artist workshops and lecture series, held in our hometown of Columbus, OH. Let's go!

DJ EFN asks what he should expect when the terrible 2's invade and whether or not they should avoid going out to dinner when it hits. Manny Digital tells the rest of the Father Hoods about his rough "House Husband" day (hint... it drove him to D'USSÈ). We're then joined by the founder of the Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival, Mr. Wes Jackson. On Episode 14, we're featuring Michele Byrd-McPhee. @theeladybyrd⠀⠀Michele has danced in music videos, battled in the club scene and traveled along as the Hip-Hop dance culture exploded onto stages, in studios, and in theaters. Being one of the few women dancing alongside groups of men, she became increasingly aware of the narrow opportunities for women in Hip-Hop.⠀⠀Michele most recently celebrated 14 years of presenting Ladies of Hip-Hop Festival. Michele provides organization and artist consulting services; production management services and continues to be an advocate for the Hip-Hop dance community, especially for women.⠀⠀I've known Michele since I was a broke 20 year old intern in NYC. Michele took a chance on me and extends opportunities to women all over the world through her company, Ladies of Hip-Hop Festival. We celebrate you!⠀⠀Check out @ladiesofhiphop for the 15th Annual Ladies of Hip-Hop Festival this July!⠀Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/findandsustain)
