Hello and welcome to another episode of the Perception Podcast with me your host Caroline Partridge. Today I'm joined once again by Ascension Guide, Direct Channel, Activator and author the wonderful Marie Fleming Grant. In this episode we talk about the wave of activations and awakenings that people are experiencing globally, as humanity engages with a huge planetary shift which first began in 2020. Marie also explains the timeline shift which has set the planet on an ascended course, and offers advice on how to navigate this evolutionary transit. So please join me as look at life through a different lens. KEY TAKEAWAYS Marie reveals that humanity has shifted onto what she calls "the golden timeline," moving away from a potentially dystopian future toward an inevitably positive outcome, despite current global challenges. She shares that the chaos and upheaval we're currently witnessing is actually a necessary part of the awakening process, like a wrecking ball clearing space for something beautiful to be built. Right now people are experiencing waves of activation and awakening, particularly in recent months, as more individuals begin to question mainstream narratives and think critically. According to Marie, everyone is making an impact on the planet's evolution, even during sleep, and viral social media success isn't a measure of one's contribution to the collective awakening. She discusses how the programming we've received since birth is being challenged and dismantled, allowing people to rediscover their authentic selves and true potential. Marie shares that 2025 will bring continued awakenings, with different people awakening at different paces and through various catalysts. She describes channelling as a natural process that everyone does to some degree, whether through artistic expression or intuitive guidance. While more light is entering the planet, this creates a push-pull dynamic with heavy energies, which explains the current global tensions. BEST MOMENTS "We've shifted onto a different alternate timeline... we're on a golden timeline. The golden timeline means that we are headed for a very wonderful future for humanity. We are set on course. It's inevitable." "You're doing a lot on the planet, even when you're asleep... just by breathing, just by how you think, how you're operating in the world, it's so impactful." "Sometimes the thing that you're really holding at bay, you're very fearful of, could be the very thing you're actually here to do." "For some people it will be more traumatic... like everything's being ripped open. And for other people it'll be more of a soft kind of general awakening." ABOUT THE GUEST Marie is a Direct Channel, Ascension Guide & Activator, who works with Leaders, Healers, Impact Makers, Conscious Business Owners, Visionary CEO's & Entrepreneurs, and those here on their Mission to assist the collective shift. Marie is also an Author, Founder of 'The Awake Revolution' and creator of 'High Level Channel International Training Academy.' Hello and welcome to another episode of the Perception Podcast with me your host Caroline Partridge. Today I'm joined by Ascension Guide, Direct Channel, Activator and author Marie Fleming Grant. In this fascinating conversation Marie shares how she first discovered she was a channel for higher dimensional beings and energies outside of the physical realm, and how she has used her gift to help other people access their own channelling power. Marie reveals how we are all have assigned spirit guides from birth and clarifies common misconceptions about their purpose in our lives, as well as how we can learn to directly connect with them. We talk about the effect of shifts in personal consciousness, and Marie explains how the collective planetary ascension that we are currently undergoing, is working to move us from out the dark to the light, in an extraordinary evolutionary aspect never before experienced by humanity. So please join me as look at life through a different lens. KEY TAKEAWAYS Marie feels like her life has been split in two, her life before as a lawyer, contrasted to how she lives now, particularly as an ascension guide and direct channel. Marie feels information from other dimensions, from beings and energies outside our physical human existence. Everyone has the capability to connect, they just have to learn how and this is something Marie teaches people. There is beginning to be a shift in culture towards Marie's beliefs and ideas into the mainstream, particularly amongst young people. There is excitement to be tapped into if we accept this is a new phase of life and evolution for humanity. Small noises, sensations and even ailments can be frequencies we aren't recognising or paying attention to. An activation of these senses can be spontaneous, individuals can feel like they have been ‘switched on' to be able to communicate. Those who are switched on and can connect with different frequencies have all been doing so in previous lifetimes, this can feed into the current fear to speak out and be open about the messages we are receiving because they have previously been persecuted in other lives. Social media can be a necessary evil, it is very useful in promoting yourself and getting your message out, but it can be challenging managing the negativity and cynicism of others. In order to find light we have to recognise the dark energy at play around us. Light and dark coexist, one cannot exist without the other. BEST MOMENTS "We are surrounded by these beings and they are all here to assist us, you all have guides even if you've never felt them” “Now young people are actually standing up and saying actually no, we're not going to allow this continue” “There's never been a time where so many of us, conscious beings, have all been here at the same time all focused in the same way” “We're all putting ingredients into this pot so everything we do makes a difference” “I'm here for the ones that want to hear it and need to hear it” “We can't have light without dark” ABOUT THE GUEST Blog Marie is a Direct Channel, Ascension Guide & Activator, who works with Leaders, Healers, Impact Makers, Conscious Business Owners, Visionary CEO's & Entrepreneurs, and those here on their Mission to assist the collective shift. The Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Bill was passed in Parliament earlier this month. The government says the law will help improve ‘ease of doing business'. It will amend 183 provisions in 42 different laws. These amendments aim to eliminate imprisonment or excessive fines for minor offences. While this sounds good, the Bill has drawn criticism for the amendments it makes to the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940. One of the amendments is to Section 27 (d) of the Act. This change will allow for compounding of an offence by a drug manufacturer -- they can pay a fine instead of undergoing criminal proceedings. Critics say this would allow manufacturers of substandard drugs to get away lightly. They claim that this is dangerous as a drug that is not of standard quality (NSQ) could prove to be potentially lethal or lead to antibiotic resistance. Is this criticism valid? Or is this amendment a reasonable move that will aid ease of doing business in the pharma sector?
This Impact Makers episode features Mindset Coach Paul Fitzgerald and his take on the transformative power of self-acceptance and self-love. We discuss: Paul opens up about his own experiences with inner conflict, identity loss, and living an inauthentic life. He reveals his inner struggle and thoughts of wanting to die, ultimately leading to a turning point and a desire for change. The importance of being authentic and true to oneself, even if it means not being popular with everyone. How Paul encourages his clients to start with small compliments to themselves and gradually build self-acceptance. Paul's coaching approach involves tough love and straight talk to help his clients break free from old patterns and the masks they wear. The idea of imagining a conversation with a higher power in one's final days and the regret that might come from not pursuing one's potential. The goal is to inspire clients to take action and make positive changes in their lives. The need for all people to learn to love themselves and challenge societal norms around self-worth and the idea of “self-love” particularly for men. Quotes: "Be authentic, just be you, just be the true you." "Sometimes you won't be popular with everybody, but that's okay." "Let's open the possibility that you can love yourself." "Start with something that you can be okay with about yourself." "When you're lost, the next natural progression is to be found." Casey emphasizes the importance of curiosity in building relationships and personal growth. Casey shares anecdotes and highlights the value of learning from mistakes and embracing adversity. Using the TED framework (Tell me, Explain, Describe) can help ask effective questions and foster meaningful conversations. Asking specific questions about how to slow down and improve in various roles (friend, employee, leader) can provide valuable feedback. Creating space for others to share their perspectives and gifts promotes connection and growth. All feedback is valuable, and there is no such thing as bad feedback. Using curiosity and meaningful questions can strengthen relationships and deepen understanding. The six common sense strategies discussed in Casey's book include being nice, starting with positivity, setting expectations, active listening, humility, practicing one's craft, and having patience. One common issue is leaders not creating space for others to contribute, which can lead to a culture of fear and hinder growth. Using spoken affirmations: The H.A.W. (I Have, I Am, I Will) method. Episode Quotes: "I'm on a mission to solve three problems: lack of humility, lack of vulnerability, and a lack of curiosity." "Curiosity is an absolute superpower." "I love being curious. I love teaching curiosity." "Things don't happen to people, they happen for us." Although social media has changed and evolved over the last couple of decades, it's still a valuable place to be – to learn from, connect with others, establish your credibility, build your personal brand or business brand, and grow your career. While there are tons of places we can hang out online these days, many of which offer limited value for our work pursuits, there's no doubt that LinkedIn – the “professional” social network that's been around since 2002 – is still a place where you need to be visible online. It is worth the investment of your time, especially if you're looking to grow your career and your business as well as attract opportunities. LinkedIn is pretty straightforward. Simply create a profile, connect with people, post and share your content, etc. However, you may not be getting the most out of it as you would if you were to create an intentional strategy for using LinkedIn. There are multiple ways that you can optimize your LinkedIn profile to build your personal brand and grow your career. By doing so, you can use LinkedIn to build your credibility as a thought leader and your reputation as a business leader that others want to work with or do business with. Finally, you can readily access a vast network of people and resources that you can utilize (for free) for your personal and professional development. In this episode, I'm going to share some of my favorite tips and strategies for creating a LinkedIn profile that stands out, works for you, and increases your opportunities! Social media has become one of the major culprits of overwhelm for many of us. What used to be a great platform for connection, building personal relationships, and building your brand has now sucked a chunk of time out of us. And it has led us down this path where communication is made less civil, and sometimes, even hurtful. Today, let's walk down the social media memory lane to see how these platforms have evolved over the years. As you seek to continue to build your brand or grow your career this 2023, we're diving into what's working and what's not working with these different social media and online platforms, in our next few episodes. There are ways you can use social media for good to grow your career or your business. At the end of the day, we have to be intentional and strategic about how we spend our time consuming, creating, and sharing content – to attract and engage the RIGHT people, who want and need to hear what we have to say. Who is the first person that comes to your mind when asked who has made an impact on your life? Well, if you had asked me who has been an impact-maker in my own life, then my answer would be my mother. But her legacy is so much more than the impact she has had on my life. My mother died at the age of 83 in 2020. I don't have any hurt or pain around her passing because I truly believe she was living her best life. She was a woman of faith, who lived a life of service. She was a person who reached out to others and gave something without expecting something in return. This episode includes some personal reflections on my mother's life and her impact on me and others. Hopefully, this will remind you that you're never too old or too inexperienced to step out in faith. As we close out 2022, I'm focusing this month on how I can best prepare myself – and you – for a successful 2023. In my world, this time of year is typically filled with prediction posts and podcasts, where thought leaders share what they believe will be the challenges and opportunities ahead in the new year, related to the world of work. Since my focus is on preparing leaders – like you – to embrace the future of work, and to develop the skills necessary to lead with impact, instead of making predictions that may or may not come true, I'm sharing with you 10 areas that are critical for leaders to focus on, in order to lead with impact in the future of work. 1. Fight for Flexibility for Your Team Members People want to effortlessly work how, where, when, and for whom they want. 40% of respondents in McKinsey's Great Attrition Great Attraction Survey published in September 2021, said that Flexibility was the number one reason they accepted their current job. According to Shiftboard's State of the Hourly Worker Report, scheduling is the #1 complaint of hourly workers and the #1 cause of turnover. 85% of the hourly workers who participated in the survey reported that scheduling affects their overall job satisfaction. 2. Prioritize Career Growth and Development Opportunities for Your People According to Gloat Research Group's Great Resignation 2.0 Report, the number one reason given by employees who took a new job as to why they would leave again was the lack of career development opportunities. The same survey revealed that 54% of the employees surveyed reported that their employers either don't take their future interests and aspirations into consideration enough or not at all. 3. Help Your People to Connect with Meaning and Purpose in Their Work Connect people to something bigger than themselves and help them contribute. According to Gallup research, a 10% improvement in employees' connection with the Mission or Purpose of their organization leads to an 8.1% decrease in turnover and a 4.4% increase in profitability. I love this quote from Laszlo Bock – the current CEO & Co-founder of Humu and former Google SVP of People Operations -> “The single biggest thing you can do [as a leader] is make the work feel meaningful.” What is an organization's Purpose? It's what we do for our customers. Some good examples: Nourishing families so they can flourish and thrive - Kellogg We fulfill dreams of personal freedom - Harley Davidson We help people get jobs - Indeed.com 4. Commit to Real Change and Action with Your Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Efforts Set meaningful goals Track progress Hold leaders accountable Incentivize leaders To learn more about how to do this, check out Impact Makers Episode #51 - The Value of Taking a Strategic Approach to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion with Jennifer Ingram 5. Invest in Your Leaders – Specifically Front-Line Supervisors The biggest gains businesses will witness in the future will come from hiring and training the right managers, who care for, develop, and maximize the strengths of every single employee. 70% of the variance between the highest engaged teams and persistently disengaged teams is just the manager. (Based on meta-analytics of 100 million employee interviews – Gallup) 6. Focus On Skills Identification and Development Quote from Jonas Prising - Chairman & CEO of ManpowerGroup: “Helping people to pre-skill, upskill and reskill for in-demand roles in this Skills Revolution remains the defining challenge of this decade. It was important before the pandemic and is even more critical now – to create a better workplace where everyone is able to unleash their full human potential and have a more equitable share of the prosperity.” Impact Makers Episode #64: Creating Career Pathways to Unlock Opportunity for the Workforce of the Future with Matthew Daniel 7. SEE Your People Show Appreciation. Give Recognition. Value Differences. According to the results of a SurveyMonkey / Bonusly Survey, 63% of employees who are regularly recognized were “very unlikely” to look for a job in the next 6 months, and 89% of employees who are rarely recognized are open to accepting a new job. The number one reason why people left a job without another one in hand was uncaring leaders. - McKinsey's Great Attrition Great Attraction Survey 8. Grow Yourself Own your Personal Development. Set goals, track your progress, and hold yourself accountable. Challenge yourself to learn aspects of business and leadership that are not within your current responsibilities. 9. Develop Your Influence Invest In relationships. Build trust. Share your ideas. “You don't get influence through control. You get influence through other people's positive experience of you. You get influence through people wanting you involved - not by telling them you have to be.” — Neil Morrison – Former Group HR Director, Penguin Random House now Group HR Director at Severn Trent Water 10. Embrace (and lead) Disruption. Change is a constant. Stay curious and seek out ways to lead change efforts. Especially with the pandemic, the great resignation, quiet quitting, and all the dramatic shifts the whole world is currently experiencing, a lot of companies are struggling internally. Left unattended and this could lead to a toxic culture. Obviously, hard conversations have to be made because you can't just ignore those issues happening collectively. And one of the ways to address this among many other issues is to ensure a happy, safe, and fun culture – and make work suck less. In today's conversation, Jeff Harry talks about how he takes positive psychology and plays to tackle some of the most challenging issues that a lot of companies are currently struggling with so they can make work suck less. With a mechanical engineering degree, Jeff ended up doing team building and special events for the top tech companies in the world. He realized how people were struggling with having difficult conversations, especially dealing with that one person at work that ruins work for everybody else. He created Rediscover Your Play as an experiment to explore how we can address issues like toxicity in the workplace, toxic masculinity, and having difficult conversations – through the lens of positive psychology and play. Show Highlights: The two questions to ask your leaders to understand your company culture The difference between forced fun and introducing play in the workplace Why allowing yourself to get bored is the key to unlocking creativity and innovation How to address quiet quitting through play Why psychological safety is required before introducing fun or play into the workplace The reason why meetings suck, and what you can do to fix it How what drove you back when you were a kid can really answer questions like "How do you want to show up in the world?" Are you retaining talent by developing and moving them into other opportunities that benefit both their career and the organization? Data shows that the more we invest in developing and seeing those opportunities for other people to move around the organization, the greater the loyalty to the company, and the greater the retention. There is also data showing the tightening of the talent pipeline, and even if there is, they do not necessarily match how the workforce is progressing. How do we then bridge this gap between talent shortage and the need for skills development? One of the keys is to find ways to plug your talent into the needs of the organization – across the organization. In this episode, Matthew Daniel shares great insights into how leaders can create career pathways to unlock opportunities for the workforce. Matthew is the Principal Consultant of Talent Strategy and Mobility at Guild Education, a company that partners with forward-thinking organizations to transform education into strategic talent advantage, especially for their frontline. With his previous career background working with Capital One and as a consultant for some of the country's biggest employers, the entirety of Matthew's career has been about investing in others, seeing them grow, and trying to match them up with opportunities so they can go big, and do bigger and better things. Recently, there has been a significant drop in leadership engagement levels, and leaders have now begun to feel the effects of everyone's struggles during the pandemic. There's also a new phenomenon called "quiet quitting," and a recent poll suggests that leaders are much more likely to engage in quiet quitting than their actual workers. They are showing signs of fatigue without any kind of recognition or remuneration for what they've done to lead others. Now, how does this impact the future of work? And what can the leaders of leaders do to help mitigate quiet quitting? In this episode, Dr. Alexander Alonso, the Chief Knowledge Officer for the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), shares some valuable insights into reinventing the future of work by focusing on the acronym GESHWI. This is an interesting time in terms of recruiting and retention for organizations because they're going to have to deal with all the generations and everyone's different wants and needs. Clearly, we don't want to separate people by generation as if they're alien races from another planet, also, because we all have traits and characteristics molded by “nature and nurture.” But these generations all have shared life experiences as members of a particular cohort due to their respective stages of life. Therefore, having an understanding of each generation is useful in every company's hiring process. Today, we particularly talk about the Gen Z population, their characteristics, and what they're bringing to the table. Joining us is Steve McIntosh, founder & CEO of CareerPoint.com, a career advancement coaching platform. The Gen Z cohort consists of people born between the end of 1994 and 2009. Essentially, these are people who will have entry-level roles that are yet to progress to leadership. And so, this is an incredibly important cohort, especially for companies who have ambitious growth plans, so they should have them figured out. Show Highlights: The characteristics of the Gen Z population Setting the expectations in today's workplace Seeking out mentors and leadership opportunities Mistakes companies and leaders make when bringing this new generation on board Solving the conflict between introducing technology and making things less personal How to bring the five generations together in the workplace Tips for retaining the Gen Z talent Subscribe and Review We'd appreciate you subscribing to this podcast and leaving an Apple Podcasts review. Quick question: when was the last time you asked each of your team members how they're doing – like how are they REALLY doing? You never really know how that ONE question can create a massive impact on your company. As a leader, you want to be able to prepare yourself and your team for this dynamic future of work. And one of the key metrics that you need to invest in is employee engagement. A Gallup study found that while employee engagement increased in May 2020, it was followed by a significant drop the next month. The survey showed that 63% of workers feel unappreciated by their employer on a daily basis and 59% of people felt that they have NEVER had a boss who “truly appreciates” their work. The good news is that the world is ever-changing, and so is the future of work. In this episode, I'm sharing two Action Steps that you can implement immediately to make a positive impact, and likely affect the engagement levels of your team. Show Highlights: Reviewing your response to when the global pandemic was declared The Gallup reports on the “rise and fall” in employee engagement between May 2020 and June 2020 Ensuring visibility and accessibility in your team Appreciating your team members consistently Creative ways to be more intentional about recognizing your team members Subscribe and Review We'd appreciate you subscribing to this podcast and leaving an Apple Podcasts review. This episode of the Impact Makers Podcast is sponsored by Workplace from Meta. Everybody's talking about the metaverse these days, but Workplace from Meta is different – I mean, the clue's in the name, right? Workplace is a business communication tool that uses features like instant messaging and video calls to help people share information. Think Facebook, but for your company. It's part of Meta's vision for the future of work - a future in which your job isn't just something you do, but something you EXPERIENCE. A future in which we'll all feel more present, connected, and productive. Start your journey into the future of work at workplace.com/future. — Well, hey there Impact Makers! The future of work is going to happen, whether you're engaging with the idea of it or not. But I believe that you can truly make a difference as a leader in your workplace, and in the lives of those that you lead and serve as we navigate the future together, by being intentional about how you approach your work, and your life. The Impact Makers podcast will be back each week, and I'll be sharing tools, tips, and resources to help you embrace the future of work, build your influence, and leverage your expertise to create positive, lasting change. My core belief is that if you're in a position of leadership, or aspiring to be in one, you are uniquely situated to make a positive and measurable difference in your organization - and in the lives of those around you. Now is your time! Because people will be the key to organizational success in the future - more than ever before. In the future of work, when there aren't enough humans to fill open positions, or there aren't enough humans with skills that are needed to do the work that's required, it will be the leaders who are able to inspire great work, develop their people, and share a compelling vision to get - and keep - everyone engaged who are able to achieve results and thrive. So please stop what you're doing right now, and make sure that you're subscribed, or following this podcast in your favorite podcast app, so you can join me here each week as part of your personal growth and development journey.
