Darion Weatherspoon a.k.a. “Spoon” was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. attending and graduating with honors from Canyon Springs High School. Darion would go on to graduate from Clark Atlanta University, Magna Cum Laude, with a degree in Fashion Design. He would be the only male fashion design student graduating out of the 2018 class. While in school Darion held the honor of Mr. Fashion Department, and was inducted as a member of Phi Kappa Phi National honor Society. He was heralded as a trailblazer being the first and only student-athlete to play NCAA football and major in design. After graduating college Darion would work from an unpaid intern to the Creative Director of a fashion house in Atlanta, GA growing the company to a multimillion dollar evaluation in a 3 year period. In November 2016, Judge Bell was elected to the bench to serve as a District Judge in the criminal division for the 10th Judicial Circuit of Alabama after over 12 years in law practice. He is responsible for half of the felony cases, all of the traffic tickets and worthless check cases for the Birmingham Division of Jefferson County. He is a 1994 graduate of Ramsay High School, a 1998 graduate of the University of Alabama, with a Bachelor of Arts degree. After completing his undergraduate studies, Judge Bell attended the University of Alabama School of Law and received his Juris Doctorate degree in 2004. Judge Bell is married to Dr. Emily Bell, and has three sons. He is a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. He is a member of the Alabama State Bar, the Bessemer Bar Association, the Birmingham Bar Association, the Magic City Bar Association and the State Bar of Wisconsin. Presley Nelson Jr is Founder and President of Positive Deposits, Inc., a non-profit organization that promotes the purpose of cancer awareness and advocacy through positive messages to encourage hope and inspiration for current survivors/diagnosed patients. Presley Nelson Jr was selected in 2016 to be a NCAA Coaches vs Cancer Hardwood Hero to raise money and fight cancer by participating in the first ever basketball charity game during the Final Four championship in Houston, TX. During our NCAA Bracket Challenge, we raised $721,500 for the American Cancer Society. Presley actively participates in the Relay for Life annual events and gives back to his local community and other cancer initiatives such as St. Jude Children Hospital Toy Drive and Lymphoma Leukemia Society's Light the Night Walk. Presley serves in the retail banking industry for over 10 years as a Branch Manager II at Wells Fargo in Washington DC. Within Wells Fargo, he is the current Chair of the Greater Washington DC chapter of the Black African American Connection network and previously awarded the 2016 Chapter Member of the Year. He is a graduate of the Greater Washington DC Leadership Development Program and in May 2019 he completed the Black African American Leaders Program in conjunction with UCLA Anderson School of Management. Prior to Wells Fargo, Presley worked for Deloitte as a Forensic Dispute Associate under the Financial Advisory Service Federal Sector which specialized in statistical analysis, budgeting, and documentation review for various government organizations. Presley currently serves as Treasurer of Rebuilding Together DC Alexandria, which is a non-profit organization that creates healthy neighborhoods in Washington DC & Alexandria, VA by repairing homes, revitalizing communities and rebuilding lives . Presley was also awarded the 2019 Prince George's Power Moves Award-Corporate Partner by the Prince George's African American Museum. Presley is a proud alum of Howard University in Washington DC, where he obtained his bachelor of business administration in Finance. Jeffery Beckham is a community leader and tech-entrepreneur known for advancing the fight for equity and exposure for youth in Chicago. Jeff serves as an executive at Chicago Scholars, the largest college access and success program in the city serving more than 5,000 first generation and/or low-income students to get to college, through college, and graduate. He's responsible for leading career and leadership development, corporate development, and external affairs for the organization. His professional experience spans both the for-profit and non-profit sectors and includes various roles in sales, marketing, and technology entrepreneurship for Quest Diagnostics, Atlas Medical Corporation, The New Teacher Center, and his own startup Black Box Creative as well as board positions at Foundation’s College Prep, The 100 Black Men of Chicago, and the Free Lunch Academy & Friends among many other accolades. In addition to his role at Chicago Scholars, Jeff serves as a mentor for many young people through his work with The 100 Black Men of Chicago, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity INC., and Link Unlimited. Among the many insights and gems Jeff shares, he discusses: 1. The importance of networking across aisles (race, gender, socioeconomic status, etc.) in college. Two key benefits of having a vast network are landing new jobs before you even start looking and establishing connections that may benefit you in your side hustle. 2. Why building skills while in college is critical. Jeff recommends that students take advantage of certification opportunities (i.e. process and project management certifications) while they are free or offered at a reduced cost. 3.How his experience with culture shock in high school prepared him for adapting to the cultures of his college and various working environments. 4. Reggie graduated from Hughes High School (1993), and then received his B.S. degree in Finance in 1997 from Arkansas State University. After graduation, Reggie took a position with First Tennessee Bank as Senior Client Representative from 1998 until 2004. Since that time, Reggie has been greatly involved in outreach ministry, which is how he first learned about STREETS. Prior to coming on staff with STREETS, Reggie worked for Young Life for six years where he most recently served as an Area Director. In 2010, Reggie joined the STREETS staff because it gave him the opportunity to achieve his mission: to honor God, expand His Kingdom, and enhance this city. In his free time, Reggie likes to spend time with his family, play tennis, and keep up with the Dallas Cowboys.
