In 2003, 21 people died when a space rocket exploded at Brazil's Alcantara Launch Centre, three days before its planned flight. It was the country's third – and most serious - rocket failure in six years. But despite the setback, just 14 months later, Brazil revived its space ambitions by successfully launching its first rocket since the tragedy. Jacqueline Paine spoke to engineer Felix Palmerio, who spent decades working on a special project to develop a space rocket in Brazil, and who watched the launch.Eye-witness accounts brought to life by archive. Witness History is for those fascinated by the past. We take you to the events that have shaped our world through the eyes of the people who were there. For nine minutes every day, we take you back in time and all over the world, to examine wars, coups, scientific discoveries, cultural moments and much more. Recent episodes explore everything from football in Brazil, the history of the ‘Indian Titanic' and the invention of air fryers, to Public Enemy's Fight The Power, subway art and the political crisis in Georgia. We look at the lives of some of the most famous leaders, artists, scientists and personalities in history, including: visionary architect Antoni Gaudi and the design of the Sagrada Familia; Michael Jordan and his bespoke Nike trainers; Princess Diana at the Taj Mahal; and Görel Hanser, manager of legendary Swedish pop band Abba on the influence they've had on the music industry. You can learn all about fascinating and surprising stories, such as the time an Iraqi journalist hurled his shoes at the President of the United States in protest of America's occupation of Iraq; the creation of the Hollywood commercial that changed advertising forever; and the ascent of the first Aboriginal MP.(Photo: Launch of a VSB-30 rocket. The Memorandum of Law in Support of Plaintiff's Motion to Proceed Anonymously in case 1:24-cv-07977-VSB argues that the plaintiff should be permitted to proceed under a pseudonym to protect their privacy and avoid potential harm. The plaintiff asserts that disclosing their identity could expose them to severe personal, professional, and reputational risks, particularly given the sensitive and potentially stigmatizing nature of the case. The memorandum outlines legal precedents supporting anonymity in similar circumstances, emphasizing that the plaintiff's right to privacy outweighs any public interest in knowing their identity. It also contends that proceeding anonymously would not prejudice the defendant or impair the fairness of the proceedings, as the court and relevant parties would still have access to the plaintiff's identity under protective measures.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:gov.uscourts.nysd.630246.31.0.pdf

And this is your News Flash. News Flash is brought to you by our friends at IntelStor. If you need actionable information about renewable projects or technologies, check out IntelStor at intelstor.com. Partners Group, a Swiss private equity firm, is exploring options including a potential sale for German renewable energy company VSB Group. The sale process could begin in the second quarter of VSB's valuation estimated between 3. One and two billion dollars, including debt. If the sale proceeds, VSB is expected to attract interest from infrastructure funds and utilities. The possible sale comes amid a drop in renewable asset values, although interest in the sector remains high, obviously, in the European Union and aims for about 42 percent of the block's energy in renewables by 2030. Phil, this is another sale, possible sale, in the billions of dollars. These numbers are huge. Renewable energy, although there's been a lot of pundits about renewable energy, it is still worth a lot of value. Philip Totaro: Indeed. And this is continuing to move along the same trend that we've seen recently in the industry, where you've got a lot of infrastructure funds now loading up on renewable energy asset owners, operators, developers, et cetera because they want to be able to have somebody with experience in the space. So it's certainly, a better strategy for them than, just developing greenfield projects themselves or partnering with somebody else to do that. And to be honest, a lot of the asset developers want to be able to sell off whatever chunk of a project they might still own by the time it's commissioned because they want the capital to be able to redeploy in building new greenfield projects. So you know, eventually you're going to start seeing more and more just like you do in other industries. And we've been talking about this on Newsflash. Joel's mentioned it numerous times about how. Infrastructure funds are just getting really, warmed up and excited about piling into these type of asset owners. Allen Hall: Hydro Rein, a Norwegian renewable energy company, has reached an agreement with Swedish developer IOWN Energy to acquire 80 percent stake in a 2. 4 gigawatt portfolio of wind power projects under development in Sweden and Norway. The portfolio comprises 23 projects in Sweden and two in Norway, all of which are in the early stages of development. Hydro Rein and IOWN will collaborate to advance these projects, engaging with local stakeholders and aiming to make their initial investments before 2030. Sweden and Norway active in renewables right now, a lot more than I thought they would be at this point. So they are stepping on the accelerator pedal again. Philip Totaro: Yeah, and this one's interesting because, Hydro Rein is obviously a utility company that has a lot of renewable assets alre...
Tasting Notes: When the Zoeller Family finally sold their shares in Jefferson's Bourbon to Pernod Ricard last year, it was inevitable that we would see a branding and design refresh. In the case of VSB, or Very Small Batch as it had been called, the changes have been subtle, and I think for the most part better. They've dropped the "Very Small Batch" and instead have emphasized "Straight Bourbon Whiskey" retaining the "blend of" right above it. There's still no indication of age, other than without an age statement, we KNOW it's at least 4 years old. And we still don't know the distillery of origin, because that's never been published. But with it being on Red Hot Deal this period for $26, I thought we'd take another look at this relatively LOW priced premium whiskey. Light fruit, herbs, mint, and oak on the nose with a chocolate cherry distinctiveness. On the palate, more soft oak with honey and some nuts to go with the fruit.

Very Smart Brothas co-founder Panama Jackson is Cheats guest on this episode of the Cheats Movement Podcast. Panama is hosting the amazing podcast POWER: Don King. The podcast goes into the life of the most notable boxing promoter of all time. From Don's early days as a number runner in Cleveland to promoting the Rumble in the Jungle to promoting a young Mike Tyson and seeing it all collapse, King has seen it all. He's also been in the mix of it all — the good and the bad. Don has been sued by everyone. He's been accused of cheating everyone. And, yet, he's still here...still staking his claim in a game that is known to suck the very life out of the talent it promotes. Panama and Cheats also talk about Panama's career as a culture journalist and a few projects he's working on post VSB. It's a great conversation. Economics doesn't exist in a vacuum. It's also about human rights, environmental rights, and people's expectations of living a safe and prosperous life. Chris Jeffords, PhD, associate teaching professor, Economics, studies how these areas overlap. In this episode of Inspiring minds, he talks with Austin Glass '22 VSB about his research and how to balance policies and ideas on paper, with their practical applications in the real world. They also discuss what the next generation of economists can do to prepare for a changing world.
This episode of Inspiring Minds is about corporate social responsibility, how companies pay taxes, and whether there's any relationship between the two. But it's also about the value of returning to a question long after the research papers have been written, to see if the ideas hold true – and how Villanova's mission demands that business leaders look at how their actions affect the communities around them. Luke Watson, PhD, The Kevin Tedeschi '71 Assistant Professor of Accounting & Information Systems at VSB, talks with Justin Bagin '22 MAC.
Panama takes center stage on this episode as he breaks down his journey into writing pre-VSB. Before he, Damon and Liz launched the website that would change the game for them, he had to get to a point to do so, which gets back to how he discovered blogs, how he actually started writing (anything) and what kinds of opportunities it opened up for him. And also, it's an opportunity to acknowledge the two people he credits most with any and all success he's had blogging. So buckle up, this episode is storytime with Panama Jackson. Damon (Young) joins Panama this week to talk about his exit from Very Smart Brothas and what he will be working on in the future. Along the way though, and in typical (and lengthy) VSB-fashion, they discuss white teen movies and the differences from Black teen movies, Jay-Z and Nas on "Sorry Not Sorry," what the old VSB was like and how it will be different in the future and what would make for the best VSB tattoo. It's basically a standard issue discussion with #DemVSBBoyz. TheRoot.com's Award-winning writer, wypipo-ologist and Black History savant Michael Harriot joins Pass The Peas to discuss Panama's recent VSB article that declared Jodeci to be unbeatable in a Verzuz battle. Michael Harriot disagrees vehemently with Panama's assertion and the two debate to whom and how Jodeci could lose. They also delve into some musical hot takes and the episode ends with a Blackamendation, a recommendation about something for, by and/or about Blackness.
