Energy is delivered to the body through not only the foods and liquids that we consume but also from etheric matter. In Indian terminology, our body has also an invisible body known as Pranamayokosha, and Prana (energy) is distributed from the outer world to the physical body through this energy body. When Prana energy is flowing and glowing, we feel positive and healthy. When Prana is subdued, we can feel negative and sick. We can also reverse this energy externally as well.In this episode, I speak with Peter Paul Parker, a meditation coach, Ki Gong instructor, and sound healer. After an out-of-body experience on the road as a rock musician, he found out there was something outside of the physical realm. That brought him to meditation and further into the world of Ki Gong, the ancient art of mastering the energy flow. Here we talk about;- Who is Peter Paul Parker- How did he get into meditation and Ki Gong- What is Ki Gong- How he thinks the energy flow can change the human consciousness- What are his views on changing the world we have todaySubscribe to my weekly/monthly newsletter here.Guest: Peter Paul Parker (Website)Host: Takatoshi Shibayama (LinkedIn | Twitter)Music: ShowNing (Website)

Technology was supposed to bring us together but somehow it has divided us. We have traded in convenience for human connection. We can do every daily activity while staying in the comforts of our house. Shopping can be done on Amazon, food delivery on Food Panda, exercise on Peleton or gym apps, calls on Zoom, etc. Our opinions can even be canceled on social media. Even though we aren't actually isolated, jobless, or friendless, why are we becoming more lonely? In this episode, Peng Fong, a 20-year veteran journalist and podcast host of Alone Together, discusses the culprits of making us lonely in this world where we are not necessarily alone, and how we can bring ourselves out of our shells in order to feel connected again. Here we discuss;- Why she started the Alone Together Podcast- Addressing loneliness- Technology's tradeoff of convenience- Parental hacks for children- Accepting and being curious about opposing opinions- Using technology to bring us togetherPeg Fong has been writing for the Vancouver Sun, The Globe and Mail, The Toronto Star, CBC, South China Morning Post, and The Economist. Religions create conflict all around the world. However, was religion really created so that it polarizes people? Doesn't all religions teach us how to love each other and seek a peaceful world? Did it also say, as long as it's between religious members? I don't really think so. If it did, was it the original intention or was it because the teaching became a doctrine to organize people? In this week's episode, I invited Jerry Zehr, the author of The Peacemaker's Path: Multifaith Reflections to Deepen Your Spirituality. We talk about how we have to look at similarities, not differences between religions to reduce conflict in this world. The old teachings of each religion does not ask us to hate each other but to look for the divine within ourselves, that can love oneself and others to create peace and harmony among us. Our tribalistic nature and power hunger has created walls between us, and we must break through them by understanding that we are all the same. Jerry is an ordained minister and has been a leader in Interfaith ministries for over 30 years. His desire is to help bring shalom to our world today. His book The Peacemaker's Path explores six core teachings in the Major World Religions that can bring unity and healing to our polarized society.Subscribe to my weekly/monthly newsletter here.Guest: Jerry Zehr (LinkedIn)Host: Takatoshi Shibayama (LinkedIn | Twitter)Music: ShowNing (Website)

Nihilism is permeating in Western Societies but it's starting to spread across the world. Distrust in politics, economy, financial markets, science, and perhaps even technology. It isn't just the bifurcation of ideology but the classification of people, failed monetary policies, diversion from value to price, and widespread misinformation and propaganda. Has everything lost its meaning and value? In this episode, we bring back Jim Mosquera from Episode #24 Reflections on Freedom, to talk about why there's nihilism in pretty much everything we see today and the way out of it. Perhaps we are at the end of the era of Pax Americana and heading towards the Dark Ages. However, we discuss there is a way to mitigate this situation. Here's what we talk about in this episode,- Decimation of religion debased morality - Digitisation of society weakens the physical social fabric- Categorisation of people widens gaps in society- Ambiguity created by relying on science- Decentralisation is about localizing Jim is a founder of Alliance University that provides a marketplace of knowledge that is dedicated to empowering people to create an objective and fair society. Have we exhausted our efforts to bring about world peace? We have slowly evolved to have better ethics and principles throughout history. However, does the timeline to cure this world in line with our speed of progress? We only advance in a linear manner. In this episode, I speak with Wajid Hassan, the author of "The Struggle for World Sanity". He speaks from the view of the Aetherius Society, which sheds a thought provoking perspective of how we can bring about peace and unity. We have tried many methods to make us come together but perhaps it'll help if we had a different approach. He speaks to us about extraterrestrial species that can travel to Earth offering a way to bring sanity to our world. It coincides with the US government admitting to UFO's existence so maybe the idea is not so "alien" to us anymore. Here's what's you'll learn from this episode;- Who is Wajid Hassan- What is "The Struggle for World Sanity" about- Why is nihilism pervasive in the world today- The truth about the UFOs the US government talks about- What extraterrestrials can tell us about peaceSubscribe to my weekly/monthly newsletter here.Guest: Wajid Hassan (The 12 Blessings)Host: Takatoshi Shibayama (LinkedIn | Twitter)Music: ShowNing (Website)
Cryptocurrency is in the spotlight for the seemingly lucrative trade opportunities but there's the almost forgotten aspect of why Bitcoin came about. Trading is for the ones who have a certain level of wealth. What about the others who are left out in the economic activities that we all enjoy and benefit from? Crypto was invented for everyone, and in my view especially for the ones that have no access to traditional finance, the unbanked and underbanked. In this episode, I speak with Taynaah Reis, the CEO of Moeda Seeds Bank from Brazil. She not only set out the blockchain-based mobile bank but stepped it up further to provide education for finance and business building. Discovering the fountain of youth has been the millennia-old dream of humans. We have seen it in the old stories of Herodotus to the Silicon Valley entrepreneurs talk about it. The gene-editing technology such as CRISPR has made possible of preventing diseases before it happens, which could eradicate many of the incurable illnesses we have today. However, it has also allowed us to dream once again to the possibility of eternal life. I've always in the belief that we try to maximize our time in our bodies because life is finite. What will we do with our lives if we can live forever? Will we cherish it or abuse it? In this episode, I speak with Mark Ryall, an independent researcher and author of the book "Age Decoded". We discuss the virtue of humanity and the need to examine what it means to live life. We are wired by default to think in short term but what if this becomes infinite? There is something more than eternal youthfulness and beauty beyond the lines of a finite life. Here is what we discuss in the episode;- Who is Mark Ryall and the inspiration of his book- What is CRISPR and gene editing- What is the significant and potential achievements of this technology- The ethical difference between preventing diseases and prolonging life- What does it mean for humanity to obtain eternal lifeSubscribe to my weekly/monthly newsletter here.Guest: Mark Ryall (LinkedIn)Host: Takatoshi Shibayama (LinkedIn | Twitter)Music: ShowNing (Website)
In the near future, there will be a society where we all live among robots. They will be utilised for war, work and sex. In this future, we will need to reexamine how to maintain our human dignity. War without mobilizing humans can either turn us more vicious as we aren't the ones pulling the trigger. Needless to say about work; we are already experiencing the replacement for humans for robotic automation. Sex is a big concern, which I think may end our human civilization. How do we maintain our humanity among all of this radical change without us knowing how to prepare for this future? Am I being pessimistic or should I be having a different perspective. In this episode, I speak with Joshua K. Smith, a pastor and independent researcher who has written a book called Robotic Person - Our Future with Social Robots. We discuss what it is to be human in this time of age where we see this driving force to replace humans with more efficient and productive robots. Through his early adulthood serving for the country in the military, he has seen a different side of humanity and made him examine the ethical value of living with this human creation. Here in this episode we talk about;- What made Joshua Smith the man who he is today- Does robotic warfare dehumanize war- Radical shift in the way we look at jobs- How do we ready our philosophical way of life- Will sexbots end human civilizationGuest: Joshua Smith (Website)Host: Takatoshi Shibayama (LinkedIn | Twitter)Music: ShowNing (Website)
The more I examine the crypto industry, I can’t help but feel a generational and paradigm shift that started to happen in the backdrop of the global financial crisis in 2008. No longer do the Millenials, GenZs and even GenXers want to accept the economic and systematic construct that keeps them out of control of not only their wealth but how their society is run. The crypto community wants clarity, transparency, and a system that works, not by fuzzy man-made decision-making processes but by technology that truly opens up equal opportunities to all.In this episode, I speak with Leslie Lamb, the podcast host of Crypto Unstacked, where she interviews the greatest minds in the crypto/blockchain space, covering topics of the latest decentralized finance projects, web3.0, and crypto investing. She's also the Head of Partnerships at Amber Group, a crypto financial services company based in HK. We dive into the reasons why crypto and decentralized finance have a place in this world. We need to challenge the definition of success that society showcases for all of us. The stardom, the big house, and cars, the luxurious vacations. All of that is empty without the human connection. The ties to family, friends, colleagues, etc are fundamentally more important. Without them how do you enjoy your so-called success? We have seen people like Chris Cornell, Robin Williams, Anthony Bourdain, Chester Bennington, etc take their lives even though from the outside, all they looked were nothing but successful. In this episode, I speak with Jonathan Troen, a life master coach who spearheads the self-love revolution. Nothing is more important than loving thyself and then you can spread the love around. He and I discuss the new pathway to success and how we can set ourselves and our children for a better way to view our lives. Here in this episode, we discuss;- How to remove the labels we put on ourselves- Why the pursuit of financial success is empty in itself - How we need better role models of successful people- How leading by example is the way to teach our children- How to take the leap to reboot your careerJonathan Troen has spent 20+ years in the music and entertainment industry where he felt deeply unhappy. After discovering yoga post-surgery, he began to understand that self-love was not taught enough and the only lasting love comes from the inside. Why are governmental incentives and punitive measures not enough to drive societal change to tackle problems like climate change, ethical sourcing of labor, etc? Crypto is the talk of the streets these days, almost similar to 2017. What's different is that corporates and institutional investors are getting involved. It's not just a retail craze anymore.
