When General David Galtier hovered above the French Alps in a helicopter on 24 March 2015 he could not see the 60-tonne plane he was looking for. Instead he saw thousands and thousands of little pieces of metal. “There was nothing,” he says. “Only these little stars shining in the mountains.”Ten years on, he recalls to Josephine McDermott how he led the police's search operation, from the moment he heard about the disappearance of Flight 4U 9525, to the handing back of the victims' possessions. In the first 24 hours, the possibility that such a routine, short-haul flight cruising with two experienced pilots on board could end in the loss of 150 people was almost impossible to comprehend. Then, Gen Galtier heard the cockpit voice recorder which revealed the last efforts from air traffic control to communicate with Andreas Lubitz who had locked himself in the cockpit. Investigators drew the harrowing conclusion that he had intended to crash the plane. Eye-witness accounts brought to life by archive. Witness History is for those fascinated by the past.

Andreas Lubitz suffered from depression but that diagnosis could have ended his career as a pilot. He hid his condition from his employer until it took over and caused him to end 150 lives. A pilot and a passenger discuss the China Eastern Airlines MU-5735 crash.Together we'll analyze the horrific details of the tragedy, we'll go over a brief history of Boeing and we'll look at similar plane crashes based on the information revealed so far by the investigators. If you like our content, please subscribe to our premium episodes! We'll also address a very important issue: mental health in aviation and the stigma surrounding it. Are our pilots and air traffic controllers, the people we entrust with our lives able to get the healthcare they might need without fear of being let go by the airlines? In this context we discuss the Germanwings pilot suicide crash of 2015, the Silk Air pilot suicide crash of 1997, and the Egypt Air pilot suicide crash of 1999. 1, 2, 3, 4 In these cases, captain Tsu Way Ming, first officer Gameel Al-Batouti, and co-pilot Andreas Lubitz intentionally crashed their flights to commit suicide, according to official reports. We also discuss the MCAS related crashes of Boeing 737-MAX aircraft operated by Lion Air and Ethiopian Airlines, and how the company, particularly Dennis Muilenburg the Boeing CEO at the time, repeatedly misled the public about the nature of the crashes and the cause of them. It is essential to point out that until the investigation into this tragic plane crash of China Eastern Flight 5735 is completed, we won't have any concrete definitive answers as to what caused it. In part two of this series we will interview a current international cargo 737 pilot about the technical details of the aircraft and his opinions on the FAA medical procedures and processes, particularly in the context of mental health. 1. In Season 3 Episode 33 the girls start 2021 off with a Murders on Airplanes theme….which does nothing to help with Holly's fear of flying. Holly starts off with murderer Yuji Nishizawa (‘All Nippon Airways’ Flight 61) who was very safety conscious and Gemma follows up with the scary story of Andreas Lubitz and Germanwings Flight 9525.Future Gemma and Holly were hoping for some good vibes – week one of 2021 pretty much took care of those, Hollys focused murderer really did try to save lives as well…. sort of, Gemma loses all ability to podcast at the end…she’s totally broken and then Holly gets lost in her choice. STAYFIT2FLY Podcast- Keeping Airline Pilots Healthy For Life
Airline pilot’s hold an immense responsibility for their mental health. When a pilot becomes depressed or suicidal it is a much bigger issue than the average person mainly due to the fact that pilots hold hundreds of people’s lives in their hands. On the 24th of March, 2015 the world was reminded of this when a co-pilot for Germanwings a smaller carrier for Lufthansa waited until the Captain left to go to the bathroom and then locked the cockpit door. Andreas Lubitz, who had previously been treated for suicidal tendencies and declared "unfit to work" by his doctor deliberately set the Airbus A320 for a collision course with a mountainside. He successfully killed all 144 passengers and 6 crew members. It may seem like it could never happen to you, but if you neglect your mental health or even just over stress your body for too long there will be consequences. Your brain is one of your most valuable assets and yet oftentimes we just expect it to work perfectly without us taking care of it. When you neglect your body then you get sick. When you neglect your marriage then it deteriorates and when you neglect your brain then it also gets sick and deteriorates. Today I would love to continue the discussion from last week and add a few more simple ways to take care of your mind and to help improve or even remove clinical depression and over anxiety from your life.Book Recommendations:Sleep Smarter: 21 Essential Strategies to Sleep Your Way to a Better Body, Better Health, and Bigger Success Shawn StevensonThe Depression Cure: The 6-Step Program to Beat Depression without Drugs, Dr. Stephen Ilardi Get full show notes at www.stayfit2fly.com/episode/10

Boa leitura! 2015. Ano marcado pela expansão do terror do grupo Estado Islâmico. Paris, 7 de janeiro. Os irmãos Kouachi invadem o jornal satírico Charlie Hebdo e abrem fogo. Doze mortos. A tensão racial resiste.
¡No desconectéis! ;)
The Alpine tragedy of the Germanwings crash stunned the world, a mass murder/suicide deliberately caused by co-pilot Andreas Lubitz. Today on MODERN LOVE, we dive deeper into the stigma surrounding mental illness with Flawless Foundation founder Janine Francolini. She's the author of a very controversial Huffington Post blog about this subject “The Sky Was Black…My Breath Was Steady” She says: “It's time for us to accept that this outwardly healthy ‘boy next door' co-pilot from a quaint village in Germany could be our son, our next door neighbor, our father–he could even be us.” A champion for mental health advocacy, Janine's work focuses on celebrating the perfection in all. “Let's use this opportunity to heal our perceptions and language around brain-based challenges.“ Janine's site is www.flawlessfoundation.org.

Co-pilot Andreas Lubitz died with 149 others when he crashed an airliner in the French Alps. His mental condition can never be known, but speculation continues. We'll hear about depression, aggression—and how much reporting should be required for pilots, bus drivers, train engineers and others involved with public safety.
Have you noticed anything strange about media coverage of the Germanwings Airbus A320 crash? Any contradictions, anomalies, or holes in the story? You're not alone! The farcical trial by-media of 27-year-old co-pilot Andreas Lubitz - immediately blamed for taking control of, and then deliberately crashing, the Barcelona-to-Dusseldorf Flight 9525 into the French Alps on March 24th - has been stunning to behold. But could this outrageous conspiracy theory actually be an important clue to what...
I want to talk about that co-pilot on the Germanwings plane who murdered 150 people by diving the passenger jet into the Alps. There's much talk about his mental health and physical health issues as well. I believe strongly in mental health issues being properly addressed and any lingering stigma related to mental health be eradicated. That includes, of course, depression, which Andreas Lubitz is said to have been challenged by. Lubitz to me though is no different than Charles Manson, Jeffrey Dahmer and Clifford Olson. A mass-murderer of children, women and men, except no societal vengeance on this killer is possible. Many deal with depression without resorting to gratuitous brutality. Am I wrong to feel this way about Lubitz? I'll be asking Dr. Frank Farley, psychologist and past president of the American Psychological Association (he's Canadian). Dr. Farley is also the President-elect of the Society for the Study of Peace, Conflict and Violence. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Everthing Full-Fledged Reality Show! Call in line is open at1030PM
Welcome again to { The FullFledge Show } Episode , ( Jade Helm 15 "DRILL" ) Realistic military training , normalizing and gearing up for Martial Law. It’s also supposed to be about the coming Chinese takeover, (Jade-China at the Helm) besides being a blatant display of the coming Gray State future. If you haven’t seen the David Crowley Gray State trailer you should youtube that immediately (or after the show). The largest cloning facility in the world is located outside Beijing, China. Prepare yourselves for a soul-less, demon infused Chinese takeover with orgone as soon as you can. There’s talk about an incoming asteroid impact due for September 24th-25th, which happen to be key dates relating to this Jade Helm 9/11 scenario, shining light on an interesting angle involving NEO detection, NASA, and tying it in with the coming UFO invasion. Jade Helm 15 is labelling certain states "Hostile." Who are the enemies according to their own documents? We know who: Anti-NWO/Illuminati activists, anti-government, pro-Constitution, Christian Identity; anyone with a thinking brain that has figured out the left/right dichotomy is a farce and the Shadow Government/Hidden Hand is in control. Tie this in with that Germanwings Flight 4U9525 (April-21st, September-25 "surprisingly") which crashed at the hands of Andreas Lubitz-it's Andreas' fault....and the predictive programming Hollywood movie "San Andreas" which involves the Earth splitting open and East Coast doom. There's sure to be some more info as that develops..."We always knew this day would come."
The Supreme count has ruled that 27 letters written by Prince Charles to Ministers, the so-called 'spider letters', should be made public. It follows a ten year campaign by the Guardian newspaper and reporter Rob Evans, who first submitted a Freedom of Information request to see the letters back in 2005. Steve Hewlett talks to Rob about the ruling, what it means for press freedom, and what he has learnt about the content of the memos. Talk of the Germanwings co-pilot Andreas Lubitz being "depressed" appeared on Friday's front pages. Headlines included "Killer pilot suffered from depression" (Daily Mirror), "Madman in cockpit" (The Sun) and "Why on earth was he allowed to fly?" (Daily Mail). Mental health campaigners came out against the coverage, including Alastair Campbell, former spin doctor, and now ambassador for Time For Change. Steve speaks to him about his call to sack news editors who had published 'hideous' front pages, the role of the press in combating stigma, and why he thinks there's a danger in making a correlation between depression and violence.Dermot O'Leary will no longer present the X Factor after 8 years on the show. An X Factor spokesperson has said 'no decisions have been taken' on who will replace him, but the Sun revealed in a scoop on Saturday that Olly Murs and Caroline Flack are being lined up as his replacement. Steve speaks to the Mirror's TV critic Kevin O'Sullivan about what the story exposed about showbit and former BBC controller of commissioning entertainment, Jane Lush about the crucial role of the presenter in ensuring a programme's success. And in the third of seven interviews with political parties in the run up to the general election, we hear from Plaid Cymru about their media policy. Producer: Katy Takatsuki.
Today, Dr. Carole puts GermanWings co-pilot Andreas Lubitz on her couch and analyzes his psyche - from his cradle to his grave, and the grave of the plane-load of passengers he took down with him. What does suicidal tendencies really mean, and when should it stop a pilot from flying? What is a psychosomatic illness? Why would he kill himself if his girlfriend was going to have his baby? When should doctors break confidentiality and tell an employer about their patient's mental or physical health? Is it stereotyping or discriminating against the mentally ill to not allow a depressed pilot to fly? All these questions and more will be answered by your host, Dr.Carole, who has evaluated pilots in the course of her work as a psychiatric expert witness.

Insight. Analysis. Colour. In this edition, people in the German town of Montabaur try to come to terms with the fact that one of their neighbours, Andreas Lubitz, deliberately crashed an aircraft into the French Alps killing 149-people; two years of negotiations over Iran's nuclear programme reach a climax in Lausanne -- the implications, if there's agreement, could be far-reaching; the Royal Fleet Auxiliary ship Argus is on its way home from Sierra Leone -- its airmen and sailors have spent months helping in the fight against the deadly Ebola virus; have you tried organic kosher shazamazam?
