Penn State gets even more preseason accolades There's no secret at this point that the Penn State football team is the national media darling of the 2025 offseason. Phil Steele published his top 40 teams for the upcoming season, and Steele was very high on the Nittany Lions. Find out where he ranks the program and how many All-Americans he expects the team to produce this fall. To do that, the team will need to be elite on both sides of the football. We'll put those ideas to the test in our latest edition of Buy or Sell. Today, we'll focus primarily on the defensive side of the ball. Can Penn State allow fewer rushing yards than it did last season? Will they produce more takeaways? We'll debate those ideas on today's show. Reporter Greg Pickel will give his thoughts on Steele's analysis and then give you his thoughts on those ideas. You can play along in the chat by playing Buy or Sell with us! We'll read the best answers live on air. Between the LinesIt's now a summertime tradition for the Penn State coaching staff to sit down with the media at the start of June to discuss the offseason topics on the minds of fans and the media. Today, we'll dive deeper into those conversations in Between the Lines. We'll review Penn State head coach James Franklin's comments on why Ta'Mere Robinson left the program. You'll also hear what differences the linebacker room faces, according to Jim Knowles. Finally, Andy Kotelnicki will give his scouting report on Trebor Pena and what he thinks the differences will be in his offense now that the team is in its second year under his direction. While you may know the Brooklyn Museum for its wildly popular cutting-edge exhibitions, the borough's premier art institution can actually trace its origins back to a more rustic era -- and to the birth of the city of Brooklyn itself. On July 4, 1825, the growing village laid a cornerstone for its new Brooklyn Apprentices Library, an educational institution to support its young "clerks, journeymen and apprentices." This was a momentous occasion in the history of Brooklyn, a ceremony overseen by the Marquis de Lafayette and observed by a young boy named Walt Whitman. The library was part of a movement -- started a century before by Benjamin Franklin-- to make knowledge readily available within the young country. The Brooklyn Museum's celebratory new exhibition Breaking the Mold: Brooklyn Museum at 200 looks back at its storied origins and eventual growth, encompassing most of the young city's cultural institutions and soon expanding into a monumental new home next to the new Prospect Park, designed by McKim, Mead and White.Abigail Dansiger, the Director of Libraries and Archives, and Meghan Bill, the Coordinator of Provenance, join Greg on this week's show to explain the unusual origins of the Brooklyn Museum and the unique philosophies which inform its exhibitions.PLUS: A couple genuine mysteries lurk within the new exhibition, including a bottle-shaped niche within the cornerstone and an Egyptologist's unencrypted notebook. This episode was edited by Kieran Gannon

There's concerns a former Prime Ministerial staffer hasn't faced charges after allegedly voice-recording sex workers. Michael Forbes has quit as acting deputy press secretary over allegations he took compromising recordings of sex workers, and photos of women he didn't know. A Wellington brothel complained to police last July, who found it didn't meet the threshold for prosecution. Sex Workers' Collective regional coordinator Cherida Fraser says sometimes it's just the tip of the iceberg. She explained more harm could occur, despite this seemingly being at the lower end of the spectrum. LISTEN ABOVESee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

We have published 120 episodes since 2019. For this new season, we thought it would be a good idea to look back on some of the highlights of our conversations and select 20 episodes that resonated with veterans, service members, military families, and the civilians who support them. But first up, you'll hear from some of the folks at Home Base who wake up every day with the same mission in mind, no matter what they do at the Center of Excellence in the Navy Yard and beyond. For this episode, you will hear a brief conversation with Marc Moyer, a U.S. Army Veteran who served with the 3rd Infantry Division in Iraq and is now a Veteran Outreach Coordinator at Home Base. Following my conversation with Marc, you'll hear an episode featuring Bonnie Carroll, a retired major in the Air Force Reserve and founder of the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors, also known as TAPS. This organization has created a vital support network for those mourning the loss of a military loved one. Many thanks to Marc Moyer for all his work at Home Base in support of this mission to stomp stigma and treat the invisible wounds of veterans and military families.Run To Home Base: Join Ron and his team and sign up individually or on another team at the 16th annual Run To Home Base on July 26th, 2025, at Fenway Park!
