We finish our long Final Fantasy adventure by playing Square's largest single player Final Fantasy yet. But does size equal quality? Does it equal ambition? We have many thoughts about this and about where the entire Final Fantasy VII Remake Project has gone and is heading in this enormous podcast about an equally enormous game. After dozens of hours, we are left with one simple question: why do we do this to ourselves? 1. Because we were ready to game2. Because we were sure of quality3. Because we were cluelessTrick question. The correct answer was: because it's our job.Thank you so much as always for listening, please rate and review the podcast, and tell all your friends on whatever social media you call home that they should check us out. Final Fantasy XIII isn't the only divisive entry in Square Enix's long-running series, but it sure evokes some passionate discussion amongst RPG fans. This week, we discuss a recently published interview featuring Hajime Tabata. Tabata discusses the transition between Versus XIII to Final Fantasy XV. We pick apart the interview and discuss the most interesting aspects of it. This week, we listen to a review of Crystal Defenders. This game takes place in the world of Ivalice. Once we finish up listening to the well put together, and drop heavy hilarity, we move on to discuss the influx in news regarding the Dissidia arcade game. Squall, Cloud, Bartz, Terra, Cecil, Tidus, and Zidane have all been added to the games roster. We then touch on Final Fantasy Explorers and their jobs, and finish up with the announcement that Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is coming to Steam in December. We then move on to listen to some questions from our Skype line. Enjoy the episode! Ā REMIX-Ā https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WNJyqlFrLiI
Following the release of Square Enix's recent financials, we take a look at how the company has changed its approach within recent yearsĀ and how the company's newĀ mantras have manifested themselves into the games we are now seeing. Ā Things have changed considerably following the departure of Yoichi Wada and from a Final Fantasy perspective, things are looking pretty good. We've seen the production of mobile games that have actual substance, and we have a handful of very promising console games on the horizon. Ā The later part of the episode relates to some recent news from Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy XV, Dissidia: Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy XIV! Ā We hope you enjoy it, and also agree that the future is looking pretty good for the franchise that we love!

News: Ā Final Fantasy Explorers: According to Siliconera, Japanese Amazon reviews on the new monster-hunter-like Final Fantasy game note that although people liked the game, most were expecting something MORE similar to Monster Hunter. Insead, there were many complaints that there was too much walking in the game, being compared to Final Fantasy XI. There has been talk of a patch to address these problems, but nothing has been confirmed as of yet. Ā Final Fantasy XIV: The last patch of the current patch cycle for the game, before the release of Heavensward, patch 2.5 entitled āBefore the Fallā, is not only an ominous title, but also a patch of epic proportions. This is what we know about the patch according to Square Enix: Ā āPart one of Before the Fall is scheduled for the mid to end of January with the release of patch 2.5, which contains myriad challenges for adventurers of every persuasion. The patch will include roughly two-thirds of the final main scenario quests, three new dungeons, and the conclusion of the Crystal Tower questline and the World of Darkness. The patch will also feature the adventures of Hildibrandāagent of enquiry, inspector extraordinaireāon his latest (and perhaps final?) investigation, a new battle against Odin, the Dark Divinity of legend, in Urthās Fount, new gear for gatherers and crafters, numerous new recipes, and more. We have plenty planned to make this patch a befitting prelude to the end of the 2.X storyline. Ā There will be much to do in patch 2.5, and before we bombard you with more in part 2, weāll be offering players a change of pace with patch 2.51, which focuses on the introduction of the Gold Saucer. It bears mentioning, however, that the establishment is known as the Manderville Gold Saucer in Eorzea. Youāll have to check it out for yourself to figure out where this moniker came from. Including chocobo racing, chocobo breeding, and the return of the FF card game Triple Triad, you can look forward to a fun and relaxing time in the Gold Saucer. Ā Part two of Before the Fall is scheduled for the end of March, closing the curtain on the story that brought about the rebirth of Eorzea. What trials and tribulations await the Warrior of Light? What drastic turn of events will grant passage to the reclusive nation of Ishgard? Only time will tell.ā Ā Final Fantasy XV: Ā According to gameranx: Final Fantasy 15 lead game designer Wan Hazmer shared some new details regarding the game in a panel named The History and Future of Final Fantasy. We'll pass over details mentioned before and discuss what they revealed here that's new. Wan stressed the importance of camping periodically. Basically, camping is when you have an opportunity to power your self up, using food you can prepare using different ingredients. These effects gradually decrease in time, giving you incentive to camp again. Also an incentive to camp is experience. While you earn experience throughout the game, you can only 'cash in' that experience and level up at camp. The game will now have a 60 minute day/night cycle. 40 minutes of that will be daytime, and 20 minutes night. The doubling of a day from 30 to 60 minutes implies there are some tasks that will take you a considerable amount of time to accomplish. Final Fantasy XV: As per the recent interview between Famitsu and Hajime Tabata: Theyāre trying to make a more realistic feel to the games dimensions. They based the town we saw in the most recent trailer on the people and design of the Bahamas. We will be able to talk to NPCās, and they will react accordingly to a prince in their presence. Boob jiggle for Cid used to be insane, but is being altered. Jeff Cannata is preparing for his play's premiere on Friday night, so that leaves host Garnett Lee to lead Weekend Confirmed into Episode 201 with Shacknews' Ozzie Mejia playing the co-pilot role. They welcome in Sega Mobile's Ethan Einhorn and Area 5's (and former 1up Show alum) Matt Chandronait to break down what happened this week with everything involving Microsoft, EA, and Machinima, discussing how it could potentially affect an audience's perception of YouTube content providers. The talk then turns towards the world of mobile game development and how much of a brave new world it becomes for newcomers, especially those coming in from the media. The crew then recaps the Shacknews Best of 2013 (particularly Gone Home at #3 and the gradual backlash that's built across the online sphere towards The Fullbright Company's game) before jumping into the many possibilities presented by remote play through the Vita, the Wii U GamePad, and Nvidia's Shield. The show finishes up with a look back at Final Fantasy XIII-2 (and the lead-in to Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII-3), Starbound, and Rust. The show wraps up with a fresh round of Finishing Moves, leading into next week's final episode from the Atlantis Group Studios.

Psychologie ist was Lustiges. Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/play4magazin/
Today Square-Enix has revealed an impressive E3 gameplay video of the upcoming RPG Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. The trailer is short but impressive, featuring some impressive visuals and level architecture powered by Squareās capable Crystal Tools engine. The footage also manages to show off the gameās action-oriented swordplay and fluid animation, such as the swaying of Lightningās clothing as she sprints and the way she maneuvers around the environment. We also get to see some of the monstrous baddies that Lightning will encounter in the newly revealed city of Yusnaan. Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is due to be released on February 11th 2014 in the US and February 14th in Europe. Final Fantasy Union is back again for its 73rd episode with news from the franchise. Darryl is joined by Lauren and Spencer and they waste no time by jumping straight into the news that has emerged from Square-Enix. This episode, they talk about updates for the new game "Lightning Returns" with quotes from Nomura and Toriyama. If that's not enough, stick with it to hear about the the recent news on Final Fantasy Type-0 and how a NEW edition is going to be releasedā¦not in the west. After some ranting from the trio, they move into the Burning Question and your responses to the question about Tabata and his place in creating home console games. Your answers are actually pretty varied! Make sure you get your answers in for the next BQ which is "Are you convinced by Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII (is SE doing the right thing by creating this game)?" Don't go too far as your questions are next, and this time the gang focuses on two. Listen in to hear their thoughts on when the Final Fantasy 10 HD remake will come out and what characters from the games they reacted to opposite to what the developers had planned. To end the show, we have another great remix for you and this time around, the re-arrangement comes from Final Fantasy 12 (believe it or not) so make sure you don't stop listening until the end! Square-Enix appears to be making progress in the Final Fantasy franchise and FFU is the place to hear ALL about it!
