BEST OF: The 2024 MTV VMA was another example of a powerful religious-cult operating through entertainment to influence society. Taylor Swift was awarded Video of the Year, Sabrina Carpenter won Song of the Year, Katy Perry won the Vanguard Award and performed a gravity defying song, and Megan Thee Stallion performed Mamushi with Yuki Chiba. Swift has stayed in the news for her endorsement of Kamala Harris, and when winning her aware she thanked her boyfriend Travis Kelce who may also now be encouraged to endorse Harris - recall other were involved with ERAS-ERIS, the goddess of discord. But Taylor Swift isn't as powerful as she may seem, certainly not to make her own decisions. Not only has she called out the Soros family for stripping her of music rights but most of her music itself is written by someone else. Jack Antonoff was behind ‘Look What You Made Me Do', and countless other songs not to mention his work with Lana Del Rey, Aaron Dessner was behind Willow, and countless other songs, and both Max Martin and his protege Shellback contribute heavily to her discography. People like Martin have been operating in the music industry for decades, writing dozens of hits - 26 Number One hits - for everyone from the Backstreet Boys and Brittany Spears (Hit Me Baby One More Time), to Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift. Further, he obtains the lyrics and beats through a sort of channeling. Even Elton John does this through mixing word cutouts to write songs. In the world of comics we find an equivalent character in Alan Moore, a magician behind iconic works like V For Vendetta and Watchmen. Moore is also open about his worship of a Greco-Roman snake god named Glycon, a deity of oracle and moneymaking. The difference between obtaining influence from the MUSES or power from unconscious DEMONS is what the byproduct of the contract is: beauty or ugliness. The song Mamushi features the profaning of and degrading not of America but of Japan, as Thee Stallion encourages Japanese girls to be promiscuous and lure men to their death. In the song, Megan literally is naked on a rock like a Siren, in a sacred Onsen, where she then pollutes the purifying water and transforms into a Mamushi snake to kill a man. A 2023 song by Sabrina Carpenter was filmed in a church and her video was so perverse and disgusting the priests had to re-bless the altar when she left. These images are far different than the music, sculptures, and paintings of artists throughout history. Perry's VMA performance featured the arch of hysteria from witchcraft, a portal, and we assume from the other side came an alien who Sabrina Carpenter kissed on television. *The is the FREE archive, which includes advertisements. "(I've Got a) Wooden Leg"..."(You've Got a) Blemish"..."Kick Me"...and "Look What You Made Me Do!" These are four more Games that People Play. In the 1960s, psychologist Eric Berne noticed that some people repeat the same silly arguments &/or patterns over & over again. He called these destructive patterns "games." But even though they prevent people from having fun, solving problems, and getting along, they are common. In this episode, I cover four more, as well as get into Berne's solutions. Careful...you don't want a game to become a life-script. (This episode was recorded on Jan. 25, 2025.)

Submission guidelines can be found at http://www.TallTaleTV.com ---- About Tall Tale TV ---- Hi there! My name is Chris Herron and I'm an audiobook narrator. In 2015, I suffered from poor Type 1 diabetes control which lead me to become legally blind for almost a year. The doctors didn't give me much hope, predicting an 80% chance that I would never see again. But I refused to give up and changed my lifestyle drastically. Through sheer willpower (and an amazing eye surgeon) I beat the odds and regained my vision. During that difficult time, I couldn't read or write, which was devastating as they had always been a source of comfort for me since childhood. However, my wife took me to the local library where she read out the titles of audiobooks to me. I selected some of my favorite books, such as the Disc World series, Name of the Wind, Harry Potter, and more, and the audiobooks brought these stories to life in a way I had never experienced before. They helped me through the darkest period of my life and I fell in love with audiobooks. Once I regained my vision, I decided to pursue a career as an audiobook narrator instead of a writer. That's why I created Tall Tale TV, to support aspiring authors in the writing communities that I had grown to love before my ordeal. My goal was to help them promote their work by providing a promotional audio short story that showcases their writing skills to readers. They say the strongest form of advertising is word of mouth, so I offer a platform for readers to share these videos and help spread the word about these talented writers. Please consider sharing these stories with your friends and family to support these amazing authors. Why are Republicans and the right losing their minds over Taylor Swift, the gifted songwriter and globe-bestriding pop star? Why do they think her NFL tight end and Super Bowl-winning boyfriend is secretly gay—precisely because he's dating Taylor Swift? Why is this slice of Americana being portrayed as a deep-state op meant to hand the 2024 election to Joe Biden? To try to answer these, and other, similarly bewildering questions, Matt and Sam talked to writer B.D. Max & Ali has made eight-year-old Gracie Vandenberg's dream come true as it was revealed this morning on ‘Max & Ali in the Morning' that she would be attending the Taylor Swift concert live in Melbourne. Gracie Vandenberg had a challenging first seven years of her life, unable to hear after she was a victim of the Women's and Children's Hospital cochlear implant debacle. At birth, Gracie was diagnosed with mild hearing loss which quickly progressed into profound bilateral sensorineural hearing loss. After having no luck with hearing aids, the difficult decision was made for her to undergo cochlear implant surgery. Eight weeks later things weren't progressing as they should, and it quickly became a five-year uphill battle. In April 2023, when Gracie was 7, a life-changing discovery was made that her cochlear devices had been programmed so she did not have the access to sound needed to learn to listen and speak. After working with Little Allied Health and having significant programming adjustments to her cochlear devices, Gracie finally started to hear. “The first song she ever heard at seven years of age was Taylor Swift's "Look What You Made Me Do!, and I'll never forget her dancing her little heart out with a grin from ear to ear,” said mum Jenni. Max & Ali, were moved by Gracie's story and soon made it their mission to get Gracie tickets to Taylor Swift's Australian ‘Eras Tour', tickets which are near impossible to come by. This morning, Max and Ali welcomed Gracie and Jenni on the show and revealed that the mother-daughter duo would be travelling to Melbourne to see Taylor Swift live at the end of the week. Jenni was brought to tears as she reflected on how difficult this journey had been for her little girl, but how excited she knew Gracie would be. Ali Clarke was also brought to tears, reflecting on her own experiences as a mother, and as a family member of someone with intellectual disabilities. “It was an absolute pleasure to help this little girl's dream come true, and we wish her all the very best with her speech and listening progression,” said Ali.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

PATREON FOR WEEKLY EPISODES: https://www.patreon.com/swiftologist Taylor Swift's reputation era is much lauded as one of her most concise, aesthetically thematic, and sonically jarring eras. To no one's surprise, we concur with this estimation. However, much gets lost in hindsight. Though her career recovered fairly quickly, there were numerous hiccups in the roll-out to reputation that were actually....kind of a big deal. Alt-right sympathizer allegations?! Is the ACLU getting involved? It's a lot. We cover it all, from the conclusion of her trial to the iconic Instagram wipe, Look What You Made Me Do music video, and her brand new approach to being a pop star. It's been a long time coming... see what I did there? ;) Anyways, yes, it's been a very long time since I've recorded an episode. I know you guys probably thought I was dead, not responding to emails, and how did I not see your new comments and reviews? They were so nice :). It's been over two months now since I recorded an episode, and I did so much in that time- I helped my family out for the holidays and for New Year's, had a band concert (which meant I practiced my trombone like NOBODY'S BUSINESS)... and had what seemed like a trillion tests & quizzes I had to prepare and study for. Study guides galore, hooray! I was recently talking to one of my friends (you know who you are, shoutout to you! ☺️), and we were talking about all the pressure that's been lifted off of our shoulders after the past few months and the holidays and taking breaks after all that to calm our minds. I said that doing the 1-year anniversary episode was a LOT for me to do, and that podcasting was occupying my brain and taking over my priorities, so I needed to set my laptop and microphone aside and take a breather... and that little breather ended up being a two-month-long breather. Kind of like Darkstalker's two thousand year nap! So, I hope you guys enjoy the new episode! I had so much fun making it, because I've been in this whole Taylor Swift "kick" lately, because, let's be honest, Reputation Taylor's Version is coming. *hiss* ✨tHe wOrLd GoEs oN aNoThEr dAy AnOtHeR lLaMa, BuT nOt fOr MeEe aLl I tHiNk AbOuT iS lLaMaS✨ Yes, I know those are not the correct lyrics. In this episode, I continue my series of Wings of Fire dragons as songs, but Taylor Swift edition! I know, I know. I'm a Swiftie ;). From Clearsight expressing herself through The Lakes to Tsunami jamming out to the bass boom in Look What You Made Me Do and screaming at Queen Scarlet "LOOK WHAT YOU MADE ME DO, SCARLET!" to Sunny carrying a boombox on her head and blasting You Need to Calm Down, telling everyone to calm down and let go of all their shame and worries, I talk about what feels like everything. Can anyone picture Winter in a Junior Jewels t-shirt? I think I just discovered my next art project :o. Woah, I think I need to bleach my eyes out after picturing Winter wearing a Junior Jewels t-shirt and thick-rimmed glasses with a thick blonde Barbie wig jamming out to some cool funky music scribbling messages on his notebook with a glittery pen (of course) to his neighbor, Moon, who, of course, ignores him. *finds the trusty Oxi-Clean bleach and dumps it on my eyes like no one's business* so, if you need me, I'll just be buying some more Oxi-Clean! Being a body-builder and MMA fighter, Eugene S Robinson was a bit of an anomoly as the charismatic front man for the band he founded OXBOW, and before that in Whipping Boy, a more traditional punk rock outfit in the early 80's. It's in his new book, A Walk Across Dirty Waters and Straight Into Murderer's Row: A Memoir (Feral House) that we learn how he navigated these sometimes murky waters with braun and confrontation, a style he had had time to perfect as a black man in the world of punk rock. He's a direct and brash writer with a penchant for vivid story-telling of his often turbulent life. He's been a contributing writer and/or editor-at-large for GQ, Vice, Hustler and many more magazines and continues to spill his musings on his different platforms; his vlog Show Stomper with Eugene S Robinson allows him a place to air politics and MMA issues, and his blog Look What You Made Me Do, is an often personal, moving and funny account of his life and times. The new OXBOW record Love's Holiday (Ipecac) features the song Lovely Murk which was recently nominated for a Grammy, a first for this human who continues to expand his brand in brilliant ways.

Karen Bell met Gary Poxon in 1993. She was 17, he was 29. By 2008, the pair were living in an isolated farmhouse in Pericoe with their three children - Maddie, Jack and Bon. Their 15 year long relationship was filled with emotional and physical abuse, with multiple AVOs taken out against Gary to protect Karen. He faced charges more than once for assaulting her, but he'd never once hurt their kids. They were his trump card. Every time Karen tried to leave Gary he would withhold them. 'You can go,' he would tell her, 'but the kids stay with me.' It was an impossible position. Eventually Karen fled, fearing for her life if she stayed. It would be the last time she ever saw her children alive. CREDITS Guest: Megan Norris You can find out more details about her book Look What You Made Me Do here. What little kid doesn't want their Dad to take them to the shop and get them a kinder surprise? That's what Ramazan Acar told his ex partner Rachelle D'Argent in November 2010, when he turned up at her Melbourne home, breaking yet another intervention order that she had taken out against him. He just wanted to take his daughter to the little shop down the road and get her a treat. But Yazmina Acar would never return from that trip with her dad. Angry and upset over his perception that he was being wronged by his ex, Acar took the innocent little girl, just a few days shy of her third birthday, and ran. What happened next will haunt Rachelle for the rest of her life. CREDITS Guest: Megan Norris You can find out more details about her book Look What You Made Me Do here. When "Swifties went through the wringer to get tickets to Taylor Swift's "The Eras Tour," one among them was not about to "Shake it Off," when she saw what she thought was a potential pattern of fraudulent behavior and antitrust violations by Ticketmaster. That fan was attorney Jennifer Anne Kinder. Kinder is one Swifty who is now saying to the ticket-selling behemoth..."Look What You Made Me Do," launching lawsuits, websites and a social and traditional media campaign to #takedownticketmaster. Bob, ever on the lookout for inadequate antitrust regulation or enforcement...and like all of us...LONGS for the days when concerts were affordable enough to enjoy frequently...asked Jennifer to join him to sort out the issues. What started as a way to shut out scalpers, she says, has resulted in complete reduction in power for the average consumer in the live entertainment ecosystem. And Kinder is not stopping with Swift fans...having also sued on behalf of fans of Beyonce. Look for more action on behalf of heavy metal, classical, EDM, & rap fans.
