Joined by guest Nimisha Mehta, they explore the book's examination of how childhood experiences and trauma shape our brains, behaviours, and personalities, impacting our health and wellness. The discussion highlights the book's message that understanding the science of trauma can lead to healing and growth. With personal anecdotes and reflections, Tatiana and Nimisha discuss the importance of community, meaningful relationships, and self-compassion in the recovery process. They underscore the book's call for empathy and understanding towards others' behaviours by asking 'What happened to you?' instead of judging. Have you ever thought about what else you might be able to do for a patient at your clinic that you are really stuck with?   In today's episode, we'll talk about the new homeopathic treatment approach known as the Banerji protocols, which was developed and popularized by the late Dr. Pareshnath Banerji. Nimisha will assist in delving into and broadening our minds even more about specialized homeopathic treatments for diseases based on symptoms in addition to the typical practice in classical homeopathy.   Nimisha Parekh graduated from the College of Practical Homeopathy in the UK in 2003. She specializes in the Narayani Remedies and Banerji Protocols and runs courses on these as well as other topics in homeopathy. She has written three books – one on the Narayani Remedies and two on the Banerji Protocols – Additional Banerji Protocols from the Clinic and Materia Medica - Remedies of the Banerji Protocols. The latter was launched at the JAHC 2022 in Reston, Virginia. This Materia Medica attempts to explain the use of the carefully-chosen remedies in the protocols, and the information is limited to the symptoms and spheres of action of these remedies in the Banerji Protocols.    Check out these episode highlights: 04:57 - First introduction to the Banerji protocols 15:21 - How does the Banerji protocols came about 21:03 - How can Banerji protocols be used by practitioners and home users 23:32 - What materia medica really means 29:58 - The additional protocols from the clinic book 32:17 - The importance of understanding the protocols and why they are used 34:27 - How do you know if you're using the right remedies   Link for Banerji Books by Nimisha Parekh: www.narayaniremedies.com https://buythebanerjiprotocols.com/ E-courses:  www.transforminghomeopathy.simplero.com Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/transforminghomeopathy   The complete index and sample page can be seen on the website – www.narayaniremedies.com. Please click on "books" and scroll down. To purchase the book, you need to register on the website.   MY AIM IN PUTTING THIS BOOK TOGETHER:   This book came about from my quest for learning and understanding the Banerji Protocols rather than just using them blindly. The Banerji doctors were such experienced homeopaths that it was intimidating to ask them why a certain remedy was in a protocol. When asked, they would simply reply that it was from their years of experience. I remember asking Dr Prasanta a question when we were together at a conference in Germany - he kindly laughed and said, "Do you want me to teach you homeopathy?" This inspired me to start digging through my collection of homeopathic books, nothing comparable to the large library at the Banerji home. It has been an interesting journey and brought about the realization of how little I know! I have limited the symptoms and spheres of action in most cases to the use of the remedy in the Banerji Protocol so as not to create yet another voluminous Materia Medica. Where possible, I have included some tips and interesting information. Over 200 remedies and combination remedies have been discussed. I am everlastingly thankful to both Dr Prasanta Banerji and Dr Pratip Banerji for their generosity and kindness during my visits to the Banerji Clinic in Kolkata.   Support the Homeopathy Hangout Podcast by making a $5 once-off donation at www.buymeacoffee.com/hangout   Join my Homeopathy Hangout Podcast Facebook community here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/HelloHomies   Here is the link to my free 30-minute Homeopathy@Home online course: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vqBUpxO4pZQ&t=438s   Upon completion of the course - and if you live in Australia - you can join my Facebook group for free acute advice (you'll need to answer a couple of questions about the course upon request to join): www.facebook.com/groups/eughom

Ever listen to Abraham Hick's talk on how you summon the energy that attracts? Every day consciously and unconsciously, we are creating through being. The way you are being right now is making the reality you attract. This means that even when you aren't doing anything, your presence in this world is creating something. Now, if you are like me, who used to struggle with body image and worrying about how others see you, you are also attracting some type of reality that only you have the power to change. Some Energy inside of us is the Doer, which makes decisions; other Energy inside of us nurtures us in the way that we feel protected and supported. When either one of them gets out of balance, we may feel lost, overwhelmed, sad, anxious... Nimisha Mehta is an empowerment coach who empowers everyday women to feel beautiful and comfortable in their skins to manifest love and prosperity in life. When the whispers get louder and louder telling you that something about your life isn’t right, what do you do? In this week’s episode of My Dead Dragon Katherine is joined by Empowerment and Transformational Coach, Nimisha Mehta, who shares her experiences and tells us how she listened to those whispers and began to unlock her limitless inner power. KEY TAKEAWAYS The way you’re feeling inside can manifest on the outside. Nimisha had medical troubles at the time she felt at her worst and because she kept track of her feelings, she knew the two were connected. Good people want to give to others, we want to fill their cup. It begins with you, you can’t fill someone else's cup if it’s going to empty yours. What you should do instead is overflow your cup and fill others from the saucer below. Look that dragon in the eye and say ‘do you know who I am. Do you know how much power I have inside of me’. Nimisha looked within herself and allowed the voice inside her to come out and tell her what her worth to the world actually is. That voice that she was squashing was the thing that tells her she has strength, power, and worth. Every time you get a thought that is not empowering, you should deal with it. Look that feeling in the face and address why it is there and why it has come up at that point. BEST MOMENTS ‘That’s when I found that courage to say this has to change’ ‘When we ignore the whispers, it turns up the volume’ ‘Failure is not falling down, it’s staying down’ ABOUT THE GUEST As an Empowerment and Transformational Coach, Nimisha is dedicated to supporting her clients through their journeys of being aware of, and unlocking their limitless inner power! She helps her clients transform their lives by changing their old mindset and programming to help clear blocks related to self-belief, love, business, and money. Nimisha uses coaching tools as well as, an innate sense of intuition to help her clients work through any conditioning, limiting beliefs or paradigms that may be hindering their path to a life of fulfillment they would like to manifest. On this episode of The Shape of Work podcast, we speak with Nimisha Kunnath Chatterjee, a Human Resources professional, author and mentor.Nimisha has always been passionate about relationships and the human connection, along with an interest in psychology and human behaviour. Working across various HR functions with organizations such as Pulse Secure, AAyuja Inc and PVR Limited, Nimisha has plenty of expertise to share in this conversation.EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS:The employee experience: Culture, engagement, and beyondOne-up your 1-on-1s with trust and compassionIs remote work a roadblock in defining organizational culture?Proximity bias in a hybrid workplaceFun, engaging and seamless virtual on-boarding The Employee ExperienceThe term ‘employee engagement and experience' has received its due recognition during the pandemic. Earlier, the management was only concerned about increasing the commitment and productivity of employees at work. Now, the perspective is transitioning towards how to keep the employees happy so they can perform better at their jobs. Nimisha defines that these practices create an organization where we willingly show up for work rather than think before showing up for work constitute ‘employee experience'.One-up your 1-on-1s with trust and compassionTechnology is playing an important role in ensuring a smooth workflow at the workplace. However, it is also creating a gap between the team members in their capacities. There are a few strategies that Nimisha suggests to bridge this gap:Strengthen the atmosphere of trust because we need to embrace flexibility. The more the team is involved in any decision making, the more the employees will feel valued and respected as individuals. The managers can also try to bring compassion to possible situations. To not only ask an employee about their wellbeing, but to also understand the struggles they might be facing. Encouraging the teammates to check in on each other and develop collaboration among themselves enforces values and culture and bridges the one-on-one interaction among employees. Recognizing and acknowledging an individual's work within the team creates an everlasting relationship between the team members and employees and the organization. Is remote work a roadblock in defining organizational culture? The Hybrid model of work is what is suits everyone's needs at present time. For many people, collaboration and working with their families has helped in improving their performance during work from home, but it has also affected a large number of people due to the absence of working facilities and a supportive work environment. Proximity bias in a hybrid workplaceAs human beings, we all suffer from proximity bias. It is a natural inclination towards those who are closer to us. We unconsciously tend to favour people whom we physically meet every day over those who don't. To combat this, Nimisha talks about a few skills that the managers need:They should build awareness towards such biased actions and strive to create an inclusive environment to reduce this effect. For instance, scheduling meetings or sharing information in an inclusive manner such that everyone can participate. The organization should establish a culture of psychological safety. Managers should address such biases through performance evaluation or one-on-one interaction with employees. An individual's trust in the organization is built and strengthened during such practice.Follow Nimisha on LinkedInProduced by: Priya BhattPodcast host: Rohan Mankad

Nimisha has 18 years of experience in multiple Human Resources functions such as Leadership and Strategy, and has worked at organizations such as Redbull, Mondelez and Marico. She talks about how the FMCG industry has been impacted by the pandemic and how leaders need to wear the organisational hat and need to understand about the business changes in these times.Get to know about the guest:Completing her MBA from XLRI, Jamshedpur, she possesses a versatile career in Human Resources. Nimisha's career in HR began at Marico, where she worked as an HR manager for more than six years. Following Marico, she landed in huge companies like RedBull and Mondelez. She explains how she enjoyed working in these companies because of their culture. She describes their work culture as extremely fun and energetic.“What are your thoughts about the future of remote working?”Nimisha explains how this period demonstrated the necessity of remote work. The future of work is hybrid. She explains the three pillars of FMCG- Backend, Sales, Manufacturing. In her company, the backend could work from home. However, people in the manufacturing section had to be present. The company ensured all the safety standards in the production sites. Conveyance, necessary equipment, etc., were arranged in order to have a panic-free environment for everyone.Manufacturing field changes with regards to HR:After the pandemic began, HR has performed a great role in Kellogg India to ensure their people are safe. It has been their priority to bring in the necessary equipment and communicate effectively with their workmen in order to remove panic. They also ensured basic hygiene, focused timetable, and medical help when required. Nimisha talks about her experience of communicating 1-on-1 with the company's staff. She realized that speaking with everyone individually gives a better response than talking to them in groups. The conversations are more rational and understanding.Employee engagement in the FMCG industry:In order to practice employee engagement, they have provided their employees access to LinkedIn Learning. Through this feature, they offer courses that the employees can enroll for and upskill themselves. The digital tools have also helped in better engagement. Tools like Zoom, MS Teams, etc., make connecting more convenient. They have also been working to ensure better mental health by being more connected with their employees. They arranged for several employee communication ways and policies. From having monthly town hall meetings to small meetings with less people at once for more personalized conversations- they have made some great efforts. They arranged work from home accessories and care packages during the second wave of covid-19. At the same time, they had tie-ups with hospitals, ambulances, and the “Practo” app for online medical consultation. Employees also had access to counselors and meditation sessions.Restructuring in the system in Covid-19 second wave:Nimisha mentions that the second wave brought in a lot of changes in the structure of the company. They had to make decisions like prioritization of work. They had to prepare for emergency responses when it came to work and employee well-being.Follow Nimisha Das on LinkedInProduced by: Priya BhattPodcast host: Junius Dsilva

On today's New Books in History, we sit down with Dr. Nimisha Barton to discuss her new book, Reproductive Citizens: Gender, Immigration, and the State in Modern France (Cornell University Press, 2020). This conversation is a perfect supplemental teaching tool to assign a class reading Reproductive Citizens as is the impressive digital appendices that Dr. Barton created to accompany her work. Building on the massive amount of primary and secondary source material that Dr. Barton examined during research, she built a digital repository and archive for students and researchers to use. Included in these appendices are statistics on foreigners in France and descriptions of sources as well as methodologies. A testament to Dr. Barton's commitment to diversity and accessibility in education, she provides this resource free to all in the hopes that students and researchers studying women, gender, sexuality, and/or migration can benefit from them. To learn more, please visit this website. About Reproductive Citizens: In the familiar tale of mass migration to France from 1880 onwards, we know very little about the hundreds of thousands of women who formed a critical part of those migration waves. In Reproductive Citizens, Nimisha Barton argues that their relative occlusion in the historical record hints at a larger and more problematic oversight: the role of sex and gender in shaping the experiences of migrants to France before the Second World War. Barton's compelling history of social citizenship demonstrates how, through the routine application of social policies, state and social actors worked separately towards a shared goal: repopulating France with immigrant families. Filled with voices gleaned from census reports, municipal statistics, naturalization dossiers, court cases, police files, and social worker registers, Reproductive Citizens shows how France welcomed foreign-born men and women, mobilizing naturalization, family law, social policy, and welfare assistance to ensure they would procreate, bearing French-assimilated children. Barton concludes that, in return for generous social provisions and refuge in dark times, immigrants joined the French nation through marriage and reproduction, breadwinning and child-rearing—in short, through families and family-making—which made them more French than even formal citizenship status could.
