This was a fantastic interview with Ingrid. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! -BethIngrid Henry of Harmonious Equestrian Connection is an Equine Partnership Coach, helping horses and their humans connect and form trusting, loving relationships. From Ingrid:"I am a seeker of the beauty of harmony between two beings. I am a lifelong student, seeking wisdom and connection through open and authentic communication, cultivating a listening heart and mind.Horses are majestic, intuitive, powerful beings. They mirror those around them and, through this, have so much to teach us about life, love, and ourselves in relation to it all.All of my life I have been drawn to horses and to connection with animals. With a background in Psychology, I seek to understand people, in all of our complexity and our brokenness. I yearn for healing for us all, horses and humans alike. That journey has opened my eyes to a new level of self-awareness and the power of intuition and energy. As prey and herd animals, horses are keenly aware of the energy, intentions, and emotions of those around them. In order to be the people they need us to be so that they can be safe with us, we are challenged to learn and grow, to heal. As their caretakers, we must learn to listen to their needs, and not just their physical ones but their mental and emotional needs as well. Once we open our eyes and our hearts, we can find attunement and true connection."Get in touch with Ingrid:Email: ingridkhenry@gmail.comFB page: https://www.facebook.com/harmoniousequestrianPodcast: https://open.spotify.com/show/5CeVafeNh1CQHdLO74rLgy?si=9055d34f1de84ce3Thanks for listening!

Should You Give In To a Craving? (Here's What To Do!)

Ok, here's the million dollar question...when you have a desire for something you don't think you "should" eat, should you give in to a craving or just ignore it?   When I was trying to stop dieting, I wrestled with serious dessert cravings. I often would have this internal battle with myself, fighting back and forth about trying to NOT give in.   And then of course, I'd be so tired of battling myself (inside my own head), that'd I'd end up giving in anyway, and stuck in feeling guilty and not enjoying eating the thing I had been craving!   So what is the happy medium? Do you try to fight the craving? Do you wait to see if it subsides? Or should you just say "screw it" and give in? If you ever get stuck in a food battle around cravings... "Don't eat it! You'll get mad at yourself after." "Oh just have it. You deserve it." "But I have weight to lose, I shouldn't!" And on and on... So should you give in to a craving? Find out how to decide on the podcast!   PS--Have you seen the brand new e-book and book club?!  Check out the "7 Biggest Obstacles to Making Peace with Food and How to Overcome Them" here!

In this season of seemingly zero control over our pandemic-ed lives, what can we learn about living with change? What can we take into the next season? This encore presentation of episode 7 includes tools that have helped me in this whiplash of a crisis and encourage me for the future. =========== Are you ready to be the CEO of your life? To accept change with more peace and courage? Many of us resist change because often we feel these choices are not our own. You get laid off work. Your relationship is failing. Your best friend is moving out of state. It’s powerful to remember that even when you don’t make a choice, or get to fully make it, we have so much control over our head, heart and soul to CHOOSE for it to be a yes, a blessing, a gift. Get a heads up if you can. If not, acknowledge swift change can feel jarring. Focus on your PRIORITIES. Then celebrate choosing priority #1, not focusing on having given up priority #2. ENVISION your choice and BE that person now, not waiting till you have something external then thinking that will change how you feel internally. Prepare your MIND that freak outs will happen, which doesn’t mean it’s wrong, so you can react to them less and not second guess your choice. Look for EVIDENCE this is good, right, meant to be. The brain doesn’t want you to change, it’s safer to stay the same, it will try to convince you of that, so talk to yourself about the evidence this is right. RE-EVALUATE priorities again as things shift. Remember you’re the CEO of your life, and even when unexpected things arise, you can choose how you settle things around them. Remember your MIND goes with you. Don’t expect a change externally to change your joy internally, unless you are working on happier healthier thoughts. Which step feels most powerful to you? Come tell me on Instagram @HilaryRushford. PS Have a topic or Q you’d like covered? Leave it at hilaryrushford.com/podvip.

I left the house today to run some errands, and it felt so weird! I've been lucky enough to stay at home during this pandemic, so it felt strange to leave the house and go out in public for the first time in a long time. And to be honest, it felt a little scary to see how the world is operating right now.   I'm right there with you - these times are hard! And it's easy to go into a state of fear or anxiety over current events. A little bit of stress in our lives is good, it's a natural human reaction to what's going on around us. But it's not healthy for us to stay in a state of fear for too long, and it's especially not good for our immune systems.   So what can we do to feel our negative feelings without judgment, let them pass through naturally, and then consciously choose to change our emotional state to a more positive one?   On the other hand, I have felt some upsides to this pandemic as well! I feel like I'm much more focused and intentional with my time, I'm connecting more with my family and with others as well (even if it is online), and I'm just enjoying this slower pace of life.   Overall, we need to take the good with the bad during this crazy, unprecedented time. We are all humans having a human experience together. Let's take care of ourselves and our loved ones, feel our feelings as they come up, and focus on showing up as our best selves as much as possible.   Follow me on social @sausha.davis or on saushadavis.com and share this episode with a friend! As always, email me at support@saushadavis.com if there is any way at all that I can help you during this time.   PS - Have you checked out my FREE Create Your Morning Routine course yet? The past year in the life of the Sunday Basket  has been a whirlwind! I wanted to pause and clarify the differences between the Sunday Basket Workshops, the Sunday Basket Club and the Paper Organizing Retreats. Why do we need a Sunday Basket anyway?! What do you do with your mail when it comes in your door? What about the ideas that flood your head while you’re driving your kids to school? How about prescriptions, coupons, “to do lists”? I promise you are spending more time managing these things than you think. The Sunday Basket System is the answer to eliminating that to do list and freeing your mind from constantly trying to keep up with the hamster wheel of ideas that flood it daily. If you haven’t started your Sunday Basket yet, you can purchase the Complete Sunday Basket System here. The purchase of the Complete Sunday Basket comes with a virtual “on demand” training you can access on Organize 365 in your dashboard. I just updated those training videos last week. Additionally you can listen to the Sunday Basket podcast here to learn more about the Sunday Basket and follow along as you set yours up. Where did the IN PERSON workshops come from? The Sunday Basket Workshop was designed after my passion for Creative Memories workshops, where women would come from all over Cincinnati (and in my backyard) to laugh, drink wine or lattes, listen to 80s music and put photos into albums on the last Friday of the month in my home. It is my vision that we will have Certified Sunday Basket Workshop Organizers in every major city in America teaching and helping women organize their paper and be freed from the guilt and burden that piles of unorganized paper brings. If you are looking for a Sunday Basket Workshop Organizer in your city or town to help you get organized, please check out our Certified Organizer Directory! How about the Sunday Basket Club? Because the Sunday Basket became so popular, and because I love community so much, when the demand came to have a “Sunday Basket Club” on Sundays where I would go through your Sunday Basket with you, I wanted to say yes, but I was overwhelmed with the prospect of having to teach that EVERY SUNDAY. However, two of our all star Sunday Basket Workshop Organizers volunteered to run it … so I said yes!   The Sunday Basket Club has a 90 minute Facebook Live time where you can go through your Sunday Basket with Monique Horb and Ryan Lanier EVERY SINGLE SUNDAY. The Sunday Basket Club is a virtual weekly workshop kind of like “co working” as you go through your Sunday Basket. But it is more than just your Sunday Basket papers. Everyone in the Club also has the basic 4 binders I use to ditch their filing cabinet. To gain access to the Sunday Basket Club, you can sign up for the Complete Paper Program or All Access. You can learn more about and/or purchase the Complete Paper Program here. You can learn more about and/or purchase All Access here. Last but not least, Paper Organizing Retreats. Lastly, let’s come full circle. The Sunday Basket Workshops started because of the good ol’ Creative Memories days. And even though you can learn about the Sunday Basket System and Workshops from our Certified Organizers, or participate virtually by buying it on demand from Organize 365, and you can go through your Sunday Basket weekly in the Sunday Basket Club; like I said, I like community. And I LOVED hosting Creative Memories workshops and my famous “Winter Wonderland Retreat”. So naturally, Paper Organizing Retreats were born and I am LOVING hosting them and so excited about all the progress I have seen women make in this weekend away to really focus on and tackle those paper organizing projects. So join me, my team and our Certified Organizers at an upcoming Paper Organizing Retreat in April! You can learn more and/or register here! We would LOVE to help you get your paper organized and most importantly, give you a BIG HUG! PS Have you thought about becoming a Sunday Basket Workshop Organizer? The program is OPEN! But only until February 10th! Hop on over to Sundaybasketcertification.com to learn more and/or sign up! We would love to have you on the team. :) If you tried any of my suggestions, I’d love to see them! Sarita Parikh is the Senior Director of Consumer Experience and Strategy at GED Testing Service, a business that helps adults use education as a path to a better life. The GED, or General Education Development, is a series of tests administered in the United States and Canada to give credentials to those who don’t matriculate through high school the same footing as those who did.   We talked about how completion rates are low. They hover around 20%, so there’s plenty of room to grow; however, the factors influencing completion are complex. Making the tests easy to find and removing cost were not enough. Social issues and self-identities needed to be addressed to positively impact completion rates. In this episode, Sarita shares her frustrations in developing interventions that failed and how a new model that she and her team developed is finally driving improvements in completion rates. We discussed the myths that are commonly held about people taking the GED and that part of the conversation was simply mind-blowing. Of course, we talked about music. Sarita’s complex musical tastes range from Beyoncé to Vampire Weekend. (PS: Have you ever visited either of these websites? You’ve GOT to check them out!) So, we urge you to take a listen to Sarita as she shares her secrets to applying behavioral interventions at scale. Finally, we’d love it if you’d forward this episode (or any of your favorite episodes) to a friend. Today’s Brain Boss episode covers 2 areas I feel are so important with making changes and losing weight in a sustainable way:#1 is the difference between Being vs. Doing – and what I mean by that is really creating change from the inside out (your Being), rather than just ‘dieting’ (the Doing). In other words, rather than trying to follow a food protocol and exercise more (although important), choosing to make the internal changes and becoming a new person. You know, building the foundation of the house before you buy the furniture. And within this framework I want to talk about the adjectives that make it possible with weight loss – clarity, confidence, commitment, and consistency. Words to describe your way of being for sustainable weight loss in your right sized body. #2: We can’t talk about new ways of BEING without addressing limiting beliefs, what they are, and how to identify them.PS Have you signed up for one of the upcoming FREE online classes?4 Tools for your Food Freedom Toolkit Registration (FREE):https://jenpillipowcoaching.lpages.co/multipleOn vacation? Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” —Marianne Williamson See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Every athlete gets injured. You've been injured, I've been injured. We won't be the first and we won't be the last. The interesting part is some recover and some don't. Do you remember what it was like before your first injury? How fearless you were? Running into tackles, dribbling with reckless abandon and feeling invincible. All that changed the minute you got injured. You began to doubt yourself. You saw others competing while you couldn't. You lacked motivation because everything you touched turned to pain. You second guessed every decision from then on. We have all been there but not all of us have recovered. Not all of us will recover. I don't want that to be your story. I want to help you.
