For det var opplevelser, minner og vennskap som sto i fokus for Sebastian da han satte seg på flyet fra Harstad for å delta i helgens HOKA Solastranden Halvmaraton.Drøye to timer etter at han løp i mål på sin siste distanse, rigget vi opp fire mikrofoner på et hotellrom og ble kjent med en av Norges råeste idrettsutøvere. Eller som nevnt ved flere anledninger, Kalles argeste konkurrent under trippelen i Oslo Maraton.Heldigvis var det en fredelig stemning mellom kamphanene under innspillingen.Vi snakket med Sebastian om hvordan han havnet på startstreken i sitt første løp, hva som motiverer ham til å trene, og hvorfor han tok denne turen til Sola.Det ble også prat om jobben som fysioterapeut, perioden med OCR, oppholdet i Spania, flyttingen til Harstad, miljøet i nord, stunts med løpingen og «Håkansson-styrken».Samtalen kunne ha vart i timesvis, men med en bankett i sikte måtte vi være strenge med tiden. Muy buenos días, estamos a viernes día 1 de Junio de 2018. El pasado día 19 de Mayo, se celebró la Egyptian Race Ollería 2018. Egyptian Race me tiene robado el corazón, bueno..., y los pulmones, las piernas, los brazos, los antebrazos, etc... Creo que exceptuando las orejas, Egyptian Race me tiene todo robado. La verdad es que en cada edición se superan, y es una de las carreras de obstáculos más exigentes, completas y bonitas que he hecho hasta la fecha. En esta edición volvíamos a donde todo empezó, tanto para Egyptian Race como para mi. Hace exactamente un año Egyptian Race arrancaba su primera edición en Ollería, y hace exactamente un año yo hacia mi primera OCR del circuito nacional de OCRA España. Así que era una fecha y una carrera muy especial para mí. Más o menos el circuito de trail transcurriría por el mismo sitio que en la edición anterior. Salir del polideportivo, y encarar una subida hasta una cruz que hay en lo alto de una montaña de Ollería. La subida transcurre a través de camino asfaltado, hasta más o menos 1'5km antes de llegar a la cruz, en ese momento es cuando se terminan las bromas. Después de una fuerte carga de saco, se coge una senda impresionante, que hizo las delicias de cada uno de los racers hasta llegar arriba a la cruz. Y cómo hablamos en la entrevista con Héctor Valls (Director de Egyptian Race), el récord de la subido que hay en Strava, sigue siendo de Sebastian Conrad, marca que consiguió en Egyptian Race Ollería 2017. El resto del circuito de trail ha mejorado mucho respecto a la edición del año pasado, han hecho mucho más recorrido por senda y entre bosque, una verdadera maravilla de circuito de carrera. Mayor número de obstáculos, y una disposición de obstáculos por metro muy buena. Cuando ibas corriendo por senda, y pensabas que en ese tramo no ibas a tener ningún obstáculo, aparecía entonces un volteo de ruedas o un muro.
