In today's episode of Elevate Your Career, Nicole is joined by Ivy Chin, author of 'Your Mind is What Matters: How to Think Your Way to Your Full Potential.' The discussion begins with Ivy sharing her insights on the importance of self-awareness, positive energy, and the proactive management of one's mindset in achieving professional and personal goals. Ivy emphasizes the significance of demonstrating enthusiasm, passion, and a strong work ethic immediately, rather than waiting for prompts from others. This approach, she explains, can significantly influence how one is perceived and remembered during interactions such as job interviews. The conversation then explores the practical aspects of goal setting and prioritization. Ivy advocates for setting realistic and manageable goals, suggesting that focusing on just two or three objectives at a time can prevent cognitive overload and enhance productivity. She highlights the importance of embedding new habits into existing routines to facilitate progress. Nicole and Ivy discuss the ABC method of prioritization, which categorizes tasks into levels of importance and urgency, helping individuals focus on what truly matters. This method, Ivy notes, transformed her approach to work and significantly boosted her efficiency and effectiveness. Finally, Ivy reflects on the power of networking and managing one's personal brand. She shares a pivotal lesson from a former boss: it's not just about who you know, but who knows you and what they say about you when you're not in the room. Ivy recounts her journey from focusing solely on hard work to recognizing the value of building relationships and seeking mutual benefit in networking. Nicole echoes these sentiments, sharing her own experiences with creating a women in leadership program. Try breathwork free: https://www.brendawinkle.com/breathe In this podcast episode, host Brenda Winkle interviews Gunjani Patel, a holistic anxiety coach and trauma-informed breathwork practitioner. Gunjani shares her personal experiences with postpartum anxiety and major life changes, and how these led her to focus on helping women navigate change and uncertainty. She discusses various therapeutic modalities, the importance of self-care, setting boundaries, and overcoming perfectionism. Gunjani also explains the concept of post-traumatic growth and how it can be utilized by individuals who have experienced trauma. Here are the takeaways... Embracing Change: Gunjani's personal experience with postpartum anxiety and major life changes led her to specialize in helping women navigate through life's uncertainties with grace. She reminds us that our brains are wired for familiarity, and any change, even positive, can trigger stress responses. Postpartum Anxiety: Gunjani debunked the misconception that postpartum depression or anxiety only occurs immediately after childbirth. She opened up about her struggles, reminding us of the importance of seeking help and addressing our issues. The Power of Therapy: Gunjani shared her transformative journey through therapy, exploring modalities like past life regression, energy work, and EMDR. She emphasized the importance of treating trauma and helping individuals manifest the life they desire. Therapy is a top-down approach. Post-Traumatic Growth: Gunjani introduced the concept of post-traumatic growth, emphasizing the importance of seeking help promptly after trauma to set oneself up for growth and prevent the reinforcement of neural pathways associated with the trauma. Honoring Our Body's Limits: It's important to recognize our body's limits when it comes to healing and personal growth. Listen to your body and gauge your level of distress, here's a gentle reminder that it's okay to approach healing with caution. Bottom-up approaches like breathwork and somatic work are very supportive in healing processes. Non-Negotiable Habits: Gunjani shared her daily practices, including setting an intention for the day and practicing mudras, a hand gesture that activates certain energy points in the body. She guided us through this practice, emphasizing the importance of self-care and setting boundaries. Gunjani's mantra "I am powerfully peaceful" as you practice the mudra. Gift to the Community: Gunjani generously offered a three-part training with an audio-guided meditation called "Breathing Your Way to Emotional Freedom and Elevating Yourself to Your Full Potential." This practice helps regulate the nervous system and can be life-changing when done consistently for 30 days. In this podcast episode, the focus was on becoming our whole selves. The episode covered six dimensions of wholeness: physical, emotional, mental, relational, spiritual, and renewal. The importance of emotional intelligence and processing our thoughts was emphasized, as well as the value of having supportive relationships and pursuing spiritual connection. The episode also addressed gender in the workplace and domestic responsibilities, as well as the impact of hormonal cycles, sleep, nutrition, and movement on our overall wellness. The key takeaway was to acknowledge and address any tendencies to "play small" in our lives for better transformation and results. "Wholeness is not a goal, it's not a destination, it's not something that we ever arrive at. Wholeness is really a lifelong journey. “ "Our bodies have been created to heal and to repair themselves and to function at their highest level. “ "The five people who are closest to you will determine your life. “ "Transformation happens Better Together. We belong together and we belong to one another. “ "I think self-care is pretty surfacey. It's like bubble baths and pedicures and reading by the pool, and I just think that that is a really bandaid approach to a much deeper need that we have, which is to have fully energized lives that don't move us toward burnout. “ "Renewal is the way to avoid burnout and increase energy, but we have to lead ourselves into that.“ "Pay for women to get some coaching, get some therapy, you know, get some time at a conference so that they can actually expand.“ --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/the-pastors-round-table/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/the-pastors-round-table/support

Argue with no one and everyone wins, right? In this episode, I share techniques on how to direct more of your mental energy toward creating what you want for your life. Arguing about inconsequential nonsense wastes valuable time. An ideal strategy for finding and maintaining your peace of mind is simply to end some discussions and move on. There are more important aspects to life than winning an argument. Silence can speak volumes. By not engaging you're not giving up your power. You're saving your precious mental bandwidth and directing your focus toward building your big dream. Argue with no one and everyone wins. Easier said than done. I know. Welcome to the trailer for Episode #404: Take Flight and Step into Your Full Potential, with Mark Whittle. In this Wednesday's episode, Mark and I will be talking about coaching, podcasting and his takeaway and learnings from 2021. Here are some highlights: If you're really in touch of what it is you're trying to do in the world and you're aligned with that, then it's makes it easier to not fear missing out on things and just say no. Learn to step into what you're doing from the heart rather than from the head. Practice the ability to be your own self and to step into your full potential. Stop being hard on yourself. Being hard on yourself just leads to a lot of internal suffering and negativity that you bring on yourself. Sponsored by Molten: The investment platform for the visionaries who invent the Future. I created a super simple technique for keeping myself in check. Whenever I'm wondering “Why is my life not like I want it?” or “Why am I in the situation(s) I'm in?” – I go to my go-to practice: I face myself in the mirror and ask, “What's my motive?” Asking this question presents me with the opportunity to rethink, reevaluate, and review my words and/or deeds. Looking in the mirror to help you define your truth is a practice. Fortunately, it's one that gets easier the more you do it. And with time, the need to carry out this practice noticeably decreases. Looking in the mirror with the intention of honest self-assessment is a great step toward accountability, which is an important part of defining your truth. That's because it helps you to: · take stock of where you are and reflect on your strengths and weaknesses · identify areas where you need to develop an adjustment plan for how to respond if you're presented with a similar situation moving forward · acknowledge when you're acting from personal biases or out of revenge, anger, spitefulness, entitlement, selfishness, insecurity, pettiness, envy, or jealousy - Feel free to add to this list. · limit prolonged periods of denial . . . you know, those times when your head is buried in the sand · enhance your self-trust, which results from asking yourself tough questions. (Asking the question suggests that you can handle your truth.) Get to the point where “checking your motives” (whether you're actually standing in front of a mirror or not) becomes second nature …. and you'll soon discover that living your truth is a positive consequence of having defined it. Thank you for listening. I appreciate you. www.LaurieTALKS.com Audio Engineer: @k.sounds.audio @LaurieTALKS TAP IN to Your Full Potential

When something bad happens, it can be easy to be a victim, but today my guest Claudine will share how pretty early she decided she was not going to be a victim but instead really learn from it. She realized her life was not in alignment but she ultimately decided to take action and now believes we don't need a hammer to create change or experience growth. She became the author in her own life. What will happen to make you really stop to become more aware of what you truly want and then finally take action toward getting there?Do you really want to be hit by a hammer to experience your life changing moment? What the heck does that mean anyways?Well, If you've listened to ANY of my Life Reimagined podcasts, you have already heard from so many amazing women who had their life detoured or disrupted unexpectedly and you've also heard how much it awakened them and led them to their true purpose and how now it's considered more of a positive and a blessing than anything with a negative connotation. But what are some of the reasons or critical steps that are taken by these seemingly ordinary women in our 40, 50 and 60s - and beyond - that allowed them to use these tough challenges and experiences to really kick their life and everything around them into high gear?My guest today Claudine Chiarmonte will share her personal experience and how she believes it was her mental fitness to handle her near-death experience that made all the difference in her recovery and how she used that life-altering moment to go down a completely different path and truly become the author of her own life.Positive Intelligence is the science and practice (mental fitness) of developing mastery over your own mind so you can reach your full potential for both happiness and success. How are we viewing the world from a growth or fixed mindset?Mental fitness is your ability to handle life's challenges with a positive mindset rather than a negative mindset. Your mental fitness affects EVERYTHING, including your performance, your relationships, and your well-being. Extensive research shows that mental fitness is the best predictor of how happy you'll be and how well you will perform relative to your potential.Tap into Your Full Potential and take this Free Saboteur assessment: Learn what is getting your way for having the life that you want: https://assessment.positiveintelligence.com/saboteur/instructionsTo schedule a free call to review your assessment, make appointment at https://IamClaudine.as.me/Assessmentcallhttps://IamClaudine.as.me/BreakthroughCallFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/IamClaudinec/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/IamClaudine/LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/in/claudinechiarmonteClubhouse @ IamClaudineC

Let’s get 2021 started off right! Learn how to avoid the hype and fad of New Year’s resolutions and utilize preparation, commitment, mindset and other tools to help you not only set, but keep healthy habits all year long! In this episode we talk about: 2020 was one hell of year, I think we can all agree, and so many people are looking forward to 2021 and that it will bring! While Jolene would much rather prefer a sneak preview... “I want the sneak preview. I don’t believe the ball should drop until we all get to see the trailer!” - Jolene Daly on ringing in 2021 As we all would, we won't know what the new year will bring until it rolls in. Why New Year’s Resolutions Suck Now, for those who are ready to set those New Year’s resolutions, hang tight for this 26-minute episode on why many New Year’s resolutions fail including: Loss of motivation The setting of unrealistic or unreasonable goals (especially if you have the same goal every year but are doing nothing different to get you closer to it, yet expect different results) “All or Nothing” thinking How to Create Sustainable Healthy Habits Instead, learn tips on how to set resolutions (or goals) for the year that are actually attainable, and not just for the short term, but for the long run! Resolutions are great to get you motivated, but there are a few things that you can put in place to help you change, create, and sustain healthier long-term habits in the New Year. Tip 1: Be realistic, avoid All or Nothing thinking or xero to sixty thinking Identify your baseline first, your starting line Set small, achievable goals that gradually work you toward your long term goal Tip 2: Have an accountability partner to help keep each other on track Tip 3: Use SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Reasonable, Time Based) Tip 3: Commit to the smaller changes for a more sustainable outcome “I will say that I am one that when I get an idea or set a goal, I tend to go balls to the wall and blow it. I go hard, then I hurt myself. Then, I have to recover!” - Nikki Young on past New Year's resolutions Tip 4: Use your personality in terms of the introversion or extroversion scale to determine what can be a reinforcer. Is it socialization when you engage in this habit, or it independently completing an activity or habit in solitude (if you identify more as introvert). Tip 5: Count your “baby steps” because this is PROGRESS, too! And celebrate them! Tip 6: “Don’t Shit on Yourself.” Get yourself in the right mindset. Focus on what you have achieved, not what you didn’t do. Listen to what you need to listen to keep you in the right mindset. Focus on Tip 7: Use Visualization or Vision board to help keep you on track Tip 8: Reflect on why you are creating or changing these habits in the first place. What’s the purpose? If you're a thinking person, you'll definitely enjoy this conversation. Thane Marcus Ringler is a former professional golfer who now is a writer, podcaster, thinker, and thought leader. His latest book, Catalysts for Hope: Unlocking Energy, Optimism, and Your Full Potential, just released last month and is available on his website for free. Those are available at his website: https://thanemarcus.thinkific.com/ Thane has applied a lot of the lessons he's learned through golf into his regular life, and I really appreciate his perspective. You're gonna love that. So from the flower lounge podcast and author of flower revolution here today is Katie has to dazzle us and just share. She's gonna drop tons of golden seeds. So welcome to the show, Katie, thank you so much. It's such a joy to be here, Jackie. Oh, well, I am just, I'm just touch. I could not believe it. When I opened the package that you sent me in this amazing full color hardcover book, all about flowers and all sorts of things. I had no idea about flowers and just like listening to your podcast and learning about all the places you've studied and all the things that you've done. It's just amazing. So go ahead and tell us a little bit about yourself. In love with peopleYeah, so I it's funny. It was when I was a kid, I, you know, enjoy nature and played in my mom's gardens, but I had never thought that I would actually work later in life in some sort of profession, some capacity around flowers. So I feel really lucky. I started out, let's see, I studied sociology. So I was just like in love with people. And when I graduated college, I was searching for how would I help people reach their full potential? And I started studying natural remedies and I learned that while I ran into a teacher or an expert in flower essences from Madrid, Spain, and I just sort of fell in love because I mean, I love all things, plant medicine, like herbs and tinctures and teas and essential oils, but this was like a whole new concept for me. Flower Essences Expert TeacherAnd he was teaching about how every flower on the planet has a really specific, you know, thing that it does like action that it does for our emotional mental States. And that, you know, the thing Jackie, that he said that really got me was he said, if, if 3% of the world's population were actively taking these flower essences, it would create so much positivity through the ripple effect that it would change the outcome of the future. And you could, you could probably argue the same with gardening. If we had a higher percentage of people in the world doing gardening, that we would have a happier planet and the same is true with flower remedies. So I just, I got super intrigued. And then when I came back to the U.S. I realized that nobody really knew what they were, this is 20 years ago. So meditation wasn't cool yet. And, and so, you know, it's been a long road. I've been in business for 20 years, working with flowers. The first decade I spent working with people one on one, and we'd look at like what was happening in their life, where they wanted to be, what wasn't working. And then I would work with them, you know, give them customized flower remedies. The second 10 years, I taught myself how to be an entrepreneur and how to take this sort of wild and weird concept of the life force of flowers and how they make you feel, how to bottle it, market it, you know, be able to tell the story and connect the dots for people. So that's been the last Support this podcast

Not only did Hal walk, but he also went on to run a (52 mile) ultra-marathon and become a hall of fame business achiever—before the age of 30.Then, in November of 2016, Hal nearly died again—his kidneys, lungs, and heart on the verge of failing, which led to his being diagnosed with a very rare, very aggressive form of cancer (acute lymphoblastic leukemia). After enduring the most difficult year of his life, Hal is now cancer-free and furthering his mission as the Executive Producer of The Miracle Morning Movie—a documentary that both shows you the morning rituals of some of the world's most successful people, as well as takes you around the world to show you the life-changing impact that Miracle Mornings are having, globally.Hal is also host of the highly acclaimed Achieve Your Goals podcast, creator of the Best Year Ever Blueprint Live Experience, and bestselling author of ten [10] books in The Miracle Morning book series. Dave "comes out" of the closet. He's Christian and explains that if nonchurch going people call Christians "hypocrites" because they are "not like Jesus" then yes - He is a far-from-perfect born-again hypocrite. He shares some miracles he's seen, and talks about if you keep your eyes open, you might see them too. He also mentions he is reading Joel Osteen's book (and recommends it).
