On today's episode, we're lucky to have a couple of special guests to discuss prehospital transcutaneous pacing. Medics turned medical students and EMS researchers, Josh Kimbrell and Judah Kreinbrook recently published a case series decsribing EMS pacing capture. Like many of our favorite topics this came from a paramedic asking a clinical question with loads of dogma and little evidence. What they found should motivate us all to be skeptical when it comes to determining if TCP is actually working. Warum ist Datenkontrolle beim Thema Tracking immer so wichtig? Darum geht es in der neuen Folge von MY DATA IS BETTER THAN YOURS, in der Host Jonas Rashedi mit Christian Ebernickel spricht. Als freiberuflicher Consultant für Digital Analytics berät Christian Unternehmen beim Aufbau ihrer Tracking-Infrastruktur. Im Gespräch der beiden Data-Experten geht es zunächst um die Grundlagen verschiedener Tracking-Setups. Christian erklärt den Unterschied zwischen einfachen WordPress-Implementierungen und Enterprise-Setups. Der Fokus liegt dabei besonders auf der Kontrolle über die eigenen Daten und der Minimierung von Risiken durch Third-Party-Tools. Christian ist dabei ein Verfechter des Server-Side Trackings. Für ihn ist das der Schlüssel zu mehr Datenkontrolle und weniger Abhängigkeit von großen Tech-Unternehmen. Gleichzeitig macht er aber auch klar: Technik allein ist nicht die Lösung. Es braucht auch die richtigen Prozesse und Menschen. Die beiden sprechen auch über aktuelle Beispiele aus Schweden, wo Unternehmen hohe Strafen zahlen mussten, weil sie die Kontrolle über ihre Daten verloren hatten. Christian erklärt, wie man solche Situationen vermeiden kann und worauf Unternehmen beim Aufbau ihrer Tracking-Infrastruktur achten müssen. Zum Schluss geht es noch um persönliche Sportdaten, was auch Christian fasziniert. La situazione è allarmante perché questo tipo di pesticida viene molto utilizzato in Italia anche in periodi di fioritura, quando le api raccolgono il nettare sui fiori». FRESCHEZZA DEL MIELE E RISPETTO PER LE API - «Un parametro di legge, che serve a misurare la freschezza del miele, è l'HMF. Con il passare del tempo il miele si deteriora. Anche se il problema è organolettico, non di genuinità, l'esposizione nei reparti dei supermercati e nei magazzini non è ottimale e ci vorrebbe un po' più di cura. L'ape è fondamentale, senza le api non ci sarebbero tantissime piante» aggiunge il direttore.

Il problema non riguarda soltanto la salute dei consumatori ma anche l’intero settore apistico italiano già in crisi a causa del clima, dei pesticidi e dell’arrivo di nuovi predatori delle api. I numeri sono allarmanti: negli ultimi cinque anni l’apicoltura ha dimezzato le produzioni e l’andamento sta mettendo in difficoltà i 20mila apicoltori professionali. Il settore apistico sta affrontando sfide sempre più complesse, tra fattori ambientali, economici e sanitari.  When Patricia Miele's family moved her into Greenwood Place Assisted Living and Memory Care in Marietta this past October, they trusted the 89-year-old was in good hands, adding the facility came highly recommended.Miele moved from Connecticut to Georgia years ago to be closer to her family and two grandchildren. The former schoolteacher and devout Catholic lived by her routines, which involved prayer and meals. She didn't even have a television in her room.“Pat was a voracious reader and had a deep faith and understanding of her place in the world,” said son-in-law Garrett Phillips.Miele's daughter, Karen Phillips, said the facility should have known her mother's mental health was on the decline. According to her, Miele once mistook a fire alarm for an elevator button while living at Greenwood Place. Then there was the time when she accidentally locked herself in her room.Karen Phillips also remembers a nurse called to share her mother repeatedly expressed fear of getting lost. “She didn't know where she was going and needed help,” she said. The victim, who sustained several wounds, was taken to the hospital in a conscious and alert state. Marietta Police have a person of interest in custody, but it's not confirmed if this individual is the suspect. No identifying details about the suspect or victim have been released. STORY 2:     Police Chief Issues Statement After 89-Year-Old Found Dead The body of 89-year-old Patricia Miele was found in a pond at Kennesaw Memorial Park, three days after she went missing from her assisted care facility. Marietta Police Chief David Beam expressed condolences to her family, emphasizing the department's heartfelt efforts to find her. He thanked the Marietta Police and Fire Departments, other public safety agencies, and community members for their dedication in the search. Beam highlighted the community's support and partnership, urging continued prayers for Miele's family during this difficult time. STORY 3:  'May We Never Forget': Marietta Honors Veterans With Parade Hundreds gathered in Marietta Square for the annual Veterans Day parade, organized by the Horace Orr Post 29 of the American Legion and the city of Marietta. Featuring 30 units, including high school bands and JROTC groups, the parade honored Cobb County's nearly 60,000 veterans. Despite a foggy start, the event saw clear skies and enthusiastic participation. Retired U.S. Navy Capt. Kent "Tuna" Hepler served as grand marshal and keynote speaker, emphasizing unity and the importance of service. Rivera's leadership since 2017 has seen improvements in graduation and literacy rates, and board members Angela Orange and Jason Waters support the extension. The board will also discuss school safety updates and consider legislative priorities, safety upgrades near Marietta Middle School, and purchases for school instruments and technology. STORY 5:  Cobb Eyes Factory Shoals Pedestrian Bridge Cobb County is considering a pedestrian bridge near Factory Shoals Road over I-20 in Mableton to enhance pedestrian safety. A study is underway to gather feedback from south Cobb residents on current safety conditions. The project team, led by Richard Fangmann and Amanda Hatton, has identified the narrow curbs on the existing bridge as unsafe for pedestrians. An online survey revealed significant safety concerns among residents. Despite the new look, the menu remains unchanged, featuring popular items like bandeja paisa and enchiladas. Manager Julian Henao plans to add more Colombian dishes. Today is Monday, November 11th and I'm Keith Ippolito. 89-Year-Old Woman Still Missing in Marietta Marietta Police are still searching for Patricia Miele, 89, missing since Friday night from Greenwood Assisted Living on Whitlock Avenue. Miele, last seen at 11 p.m., was reported missing Saturday morning. Extensive search efforts by local police, the Cobb County Sheriff's Office, federal park rangers, and Georgia State Patrol have included drones, K9 units, helicopters, and watercraft, covering local establishments, neighborhoods, and Miele's previous residence. Despite thorough searches and interviews, Miele remains missing. She is hearing impaired, without her glasses, and may be disoriented. Residents with outdoor cameras are urged to check footage from Friday night to Saturday morning. Miele was last seen wearing a purple floral shirt, blue jeans, and slip-on Sketcher shoes. Brad is a Gen-X adoptee from the baby scoop era who grew up in New Jersey in the '70s and '80s. His adopters were wealthy, and his experience as a young child was great. However, he went on to experience many negative life events as a result of unresolved maternal separation trauma, and it wasn't until 10 years ago that he connected the dots and started coming out of the fog.
