We were delighted to welcome Seth Holehouse, host of the popular podcast Man in America, to The Breggin Hour. With over a million listeners dedicated to uncovering the forces reshaping our nation, Seth brings a thoughtful, big-picture perspective that resonates deeply with our own work exposing global predators. This wide-ranging conversation touched on the Epstein files, MKUltra, satanic ritual abuse, compromised elites, spiritual warfare, and the practical steps each of us can take to live freely in an upside-down world. As always, we encourage you to listen to the full episode for the complete exchange. The Epstein Files: A Crack in the Veil Seth first encountered the Epstein story years ago amid early discussions of Pizzagate, the Podestas, disturbing artwork, and high-profile figures like Bill Clinton. The more recent document releases struck a chord, especially with younger people encountering the horror on TikTok. “There are a lot of people that… look around and just have this sense that something's just not right with the world.” These awakening moments—whether from 9/11, COVID, or the Epstein revelations—pierce the illusions. Seth urges us to step back and take the broader view rather than getting lost in distractions or narrow slices of the truth. This aligns with our own experience: the more we step back and examine the complete picture, the clearer the patterns of predation become.  MKUltra, Survivor Testimony, and the Pyramid of Control Seth has conducted powerful interviews with survivors of MKUltra and satanic ritual abuse, including a dedicated series exploring these dark networks. These accounts reveal how compromise, blackmail, and ritual abuse serve as tools to control those who rise in elite circles. He draws on important works, including Fritz Springmeier's Bloodlines of the Illuminati, Jim Marrs ‘ Behold a Pale Horse, and especially Andrzej Łobaczewski's Political Ponerology. Łobaczewski, a Polish psychiatrist who survived both Nazi and Communist regimes, studied how pathological personalities—particularly psychopaths and character-disordered individuals lacking conscience and empathy—infiltrate and corrupt institutions. This leads to pathocracy, or “rule by evil,” where a small minority of disordered people seize power, distort ideologies, and promote their own kind. The process, called ponerization, gradually transforms normal groups into pathological ones through infiltration, blackmail, and twisted moral justifications (paramoralisms). Visible politicians, celebrities, and CEOs often serve as puppets in a modern Allegory of the Cave, while real power lies higher up within protected bloodlines and networks. Compromise—frequently involving the abuse of children—ensures loyalty. This framework helps explain the spread of evil at the highest levels and why left-right political theater so often distracts from deeper systemic pathology. As Seth's survivor interviews illustrate, these mechanisms are not abstract—they destroy lives and souls. Facing this kind of evil is not easy. Ginger noted how confronting the Epstein files broke her heart and made it difficult to continue looking for a time. Peter connected it to his lifelong reform work protecting children and the vulnerable from institutional and psychiatric abuse. Spiritual Warfare and the Choice Before Us We see these issues as fundamentally spiritual—a testing ground where individuals and societies must choose virtue, love, and truth over base appetites and predation. Seth, raised in a Christian home with an emphasis on simply being a good person, describes a predator-prey dynamic operating at elite levels. Peter and I shared reflections on our partnership, including the challenges of Peter's stroke and his remarkable recovery through hyperbaric oxygen therapy and other supports. After decades together fighting for patients and human freedom, we know the sustaining power of love and mutual commitment in the face of darkness. Spotting Controlled Opposition and Questioning Authority Seth offered practical wisdom for navigating today's information landscape—wisdom we have learned through hard experience: Heavy focus on left-right political divides often serves the control grid by keeping people distracted and divided. Beware influencers who shut down discussion of “forbidden” topics or demand unquestioning loyalty. Prioritize sources with evidence and receipts rather than vague “secret intel.” Maintain an open mind and even question your own assumptions. “It's my moral duty to question everything… even to question my own beliefs.” This spirit of honest inquiry is essential. As we have seen time and again, real reform begins with refusing to accept surface narratives and insisting on truth. Prep Like Noah: Returning to Human Living Living near a major population center, Seth speaks from experience about preparedness—not driven by fear, but by a return to traditional, responsible ways of life. His forthcoming book Prep Like Noah and the new private community The Ark (buildthearc.com) focus on self-reliance in food, energy, homeschooling, and community. The coming “flood” may involve digital IDs, surveillance, engineered shortages, and expanding tyranny. By reclaiming control over the essentials of life, we become less vulnerable. Like Noah, we build what we can control and allow pathological systems to collapse under the weight of their own evil, incompetence, and infighting. Peter found Seth's grounded, calming perspective especially helpful. We agree: returning to authentic human connection, family, and stewardship is one of the strongest defenses against the demoralization that global predators promote. Final Thoughts Conversations like this remind us that while the forces arrayed against humanity are formidable, truth-seeking, moral courage, strong families, and practical action offer real hope and freedom. We are grateful to Seth Holehouse for joining us and look forward to future discussions. Survivors of Jeffrey Epstein's abuse are continuing to speak out as more documents tied to his network come to light, describing the lasting psychological damage and the years of silence that followed their exploitation. One survivor, Joanna Harrison, explained that going public is not about attention but about reclaiming control after years of trauma and suppression. Others described experiences on Epstein's private island, emphasizing not just what happened to them, but how the aftermath—fear, isolation, and a lack of accountability—has lingered long after the abuse itself ended.Their accounts also underscore how Epstein's connections to powerful figures remain central to the story. Allegations and scrutiny involving Prince Andrew, as well as renewed attention on figures like Bill Clinton, are again being brought into focus as survivors question how Epstein maintained protection for so long. They argue that these relationships are not peripheral but essential to understanding the scope of the operation, and that despite document releases, the full extent of who enabled Epstein—and how he was shielded—has yet to be fully exposed.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:‘This is my way of trying to breathe': Epstein survivors speak out about abuse | The IndependentBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.

Keen On Democracy
The David Frum Show: Frum on Gatsby, Trump the Fascoid and What It Means to Be an American

Keen On Democracy

Play Episode Listen Later Jun 12, 2026 50:19

“That's not the America that I believed in and that I chose to merge my fate with.” — David Frum on Trump's predatory foreign policy What does it mean to be an American? It's a slippery question — especially for those of us born outside the United States. Take, for example, David Frum, the Toronto-born writer and Presidential speechwriter who coined the phrase “Axis of Evil” in 2002. Back then, it included Iran, Iraq and North Korea. Today, one wonders if Frum, who has written two powerful jeremiads about Donald Trump, would include what he calls this "fascoid" in this exclusive club. Frum still lives part of the year on Loyalist Parkway in Ontario — a road honouring British troops fleeing the American Revolution. From his deck, what remains of the Canadian in Frum gazes across Lake Ontario at the American shore. The lights on the other side of the lake, he admits, are more glittering. But unlike Nick Carraway in his favourite American novel The Great Gatsby, David Frum isn't seduced by all that glitters. Carraway, Frum says, is an unreliable narrator impressed by the gangster glamour of Jay Gatsby. But Gatsby, like Donald Trump, Frum reminds us, is a criminal. And Gatsby, perhaps also like Trump, is at least part of the answer of what it means to be an American. Five Takeaways •       Loyalist Parkway: Canada as the Product of the American Revolution: Frum spends part of the year on Loyalist Parkway in Ontario — a road named for the refugees who fled the American Revolution northward and settled across Lake Ontario. Canada, in his telling, is the product of what he calls the American civil war that nobody calls that: the revolution of 1776. It was, for the Loyalists, a shattering loss. From his house, he looks across the lake at the American shore. There is something brighter there, more glittering, more charged. That particular Canadian vantage point — attracted to and slightly outside of America — is where Frum and Zakaria both live. •       Predatory America: Trump vs the American Tradition: America is currently at war with Iran. Trump's stated aim, in Frum's analysis, is purely predatory — to take Iran's oil, enrich the United States by impoverishing Iranians, plunder like a bandit. He compares this to Trump's Venezuela policy. Frum's verdict: that is a president against the American tradition. George W. Bush — whatever the failures of the Iraq war — went to Iraq to overthrow a dictatorship and bring a better future. He went in the name of American ideals. Trump invokes no ideals. He just wants the oil. •       The Axis of Evil Defence: Andrew raises the uncomfortable parallel: Frum coined “axis of evil,” worked for Bush, helped set the fuse for the wars that led, arguably, to the current moment. Frum's defence is structural. The Iraq war of 2003 was the continuation of a conflict that began when Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait in 1990. Bill Clinton nearly returned to war with Iraq in 1994 and struck it in 1998, for the same reason: Iraq's violation of the 1991 armistice. Bush was following that path. He went to war in the name of ideals. He didn't go to steal Iraq's oil. That is the American tradition, even in failure. •       Nick Carraway Is an Unreliable Narrator: The conversation's most surprising section: Frum on The Great Gatsby. Nick Carraway, Frum argues, is not a reliable guide to Gatsby's moral complexity. He is a narrator seduced by gangster glamour — who constructs moral explanations for an attraction he knows he shouldn't feel. The tell: Nick is horrified by the glamour one night, then thrilled the next morning to fly in Gatsby's private seaplane. Gatsby is a criminal. And Gatsby is, for Fitzgerald, a symbol of America: a self-invented person with a fabricated backstory, living on bootlegging and organised crime, staring across the water at a green light he can never reach. •       Looking Across the Lake: The Canadian Analyst of American Life: Frum's closing meditation: there is something about knowing America from the inside, but there is also something valuable about the critical distance of the outsider. He looks across Lake Ontario at the American shore from which the Loyalists fled — the shore they looked back at because there was something magical on the other side. Fareed Zakaria looks across the Atlantic from India. Both naturalized citizens brought to America by an idea of what it was. Both rethinking that idea now. Frum's plan for July 4: sitting on his deck in Ontario, looking across the water, wishing well to American democracy. About the Guest David Frum is a senior editor at The Atlantic and the host of The David Frum Show. He was a speechwriter and special assistant to President George W. Bush in 2001–2002. He is the author of Trumpocracy: The Corruption of the American Republic (HarperCollins, 2018) and Trumpocalypse: Restoring American Democracy (HarperCollins, 2020). He lives in Washington, D.C. and Wellington, Ontario. He is working on a memoir. References: •       The David Frum Show — Frum's show at The Atlantic, where his interview with Fareed Zakaria is referenced at the opening. •       The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald — the central text of the conversation's second half. •       Trumpocracy: The Corruption of the American Republic by David Frum (HarperCollins, 2018). •       Trumpocalypse: Restoring American Democracy by David Frum (HarperCollins, 2020). •       Loyalist Parkway, Ontario — the road where Frum lives part of the year, named for the refugees from the American Revolution. About Keen On America Nobody asks more awkward questions than the Anglo-American writer and filmmaker Andrew Keen. And you look at those Democrats from 25, maybe 30 years ago, you could sit, you know, you could talk with those people. You could sit down, you might not agree with them. You could sit down and have a chat with them. 00:41 The folks on the left have gone so far left. It's unbelievable. Used to be, if you had the word communist or socialist anywhere in your biography, in your bio, that was an automatic done. No, no office, no nothing, go live your life, do whatever you're gonna do, but you're not gonna hold public office. 01:09 But then we get somebody like Bernie Sanders in there. And people are like, well, it's just crazy old Bernie. Yeah, we know he's a socialist. Yeah, we'll overlook that. But then we get AOC. 01:21 Well, she's harmed and this is really how people think, oh, she's harmless. Then we get Ayanna Pressley and Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib. We get the squad in there. And people are like, yeah, but that's a... And then 25 years after 9-11, in New York City, they elect Zoran Mondani, a radical Islamist. uh 01:51 that sink in for just a second. 01:55 And then maybe you were thinking, well, that's probably as bad as the left is going to get. They can't go any more left than that. And then what did they do? They actually elect as their senatorial candidate from Maine, a man who for decades walked around with a totem cough tattoo on his chest. 02:19 A man who says he is a socialist, a man who praised, I mean, I'm just, the list goes on and on and on. Absolutely on and on and on. This is a guy who criticized heroic American soldiers. This is a guy who criticized the American sniper. This is a guy that said, know what, Hezbollah, you know, they got good tactics. 02:44 The transition of the left to the radical left has been unbelievable. It really has. now with, okay, so here's a guy, because remember the left was all about me too, hashtag me too, or as some people say, pound me too. They're all about that with Harvey Weinstein and everybody, ooh, me too, me too, me too. 03:13 They were all about believe the women, believe the women. have, oh, you have to div. They didn't believe Tara Reid when she accused Joe Biden of sexual assault. They believe none of Bill Clinton's accusers. None of them. But now you've got Graham Plattner. Listen to this. This is a woman named Jody Cantor. She's over on CNN. Listen to what she says. Well, let's talk about what they may or may not be willing to overlook. 03:42 The accusations against Graham Plattner are not classic me-too accusations. They're not about a boss and a young female employee being subjected to sexual advances. uh They were mostly made in the context of consensual relationships. There are these very sensational texts about sex. There are allegations from former girlfriends that are not, the way my colleagues reported them, were not classic. 04:12 abuse allegations. They were mostly like being his boyfriend gave me a view into him and I did not like what I saw. His character was scary. had this Nazi tattoo, etc. There was one allegation of crossing a line physically. But I think that means that these are pretty different accusations than say the that President Trump faced. And of course in the Access Hollywood tape, 04:40 President Trump. shut up. Talking about Billy Bush weekend. See, the hypocrisy of the people on the left knows no depth. They are willing to go to protect their own. They're willing to overlook all of that. I mean, all of it. All of it. They tried to say that Pete Hegseth was a womanizing drunk. Tried to say that Casper Tell was a drunkard. 05:10 We've got video of Graham Plattner in big stages of intoxication, dancing around half naked at a party. Now, nothing to see here. No, no, that's okay. ... 511 Thu, 11 Jun 2026 19:33:00 +0000 3U7wmylDUEcKGxqMNocdlsY3kpGiLWzP news The Charlie James Show Podcast news H1-S2 The Charlie James Show originates from News/Talk 989 WORD, The Upstate's #1 Talk Station, weekdays 3-7pm.

H3-S2 full 00:05 i had a show the phones are taught to fill in campbell oh how you doing phil i'm good uh... let me add a step six of what you were talking about okay i'm you're heavily armed and more than happy to use it heavily armed and happy to go yet be exactly right what i want to call about and they set the stage okay 00:27 for just a minute if you don't mind. Let me set stage. Remember when Bill Clinton balanced the budget? Yes, I do. the money out of He stole the money out of it. So security... That's right. They raided it. I think you said about a month ago it came out they were looking at $10 billion, the crooks in Columbia, to build them a palace down there. Yeah. wanted to... Excuse me. They wanted to it out of the retirement system. Listen. 00:57 There's a lot of people in that police retirement, state retirement. Yeah. Those people put their life on the line every single day for 35 years. And I'm telling the boys in Columbia, you keep your grubby little hands in your pockets. If you reach out and touch this money, there's an army going to show up in Columbia and they ain't coming empty handed. They ain't carrying no damn roses. There you go. I agree, Phil. that's it. They figure all the money. 01:24 This is literally how they think in Columbia. All the money is their money. And it doesn't matter if it's your retirement, doesn't matter if it's your pension, doesn't matter. If it's money that they can get their hands on, then they're gonna get their hands on it. That seems to be their only goal in life, especially over in the Senate. 01:52 Now, Curtis Loftus explained how this works very eloquently. was at a dinner with him one night and he said, here's how it works. Because I asked him, said, how, if these people can't have access to that money and that money, they can't just take the money out to benefit themselves. How does that work? He said, let me tell you, let me tell you how that works. Let's say that you are a state senator and one of your jobs is to, or let's say you're a treasurer. 02:22 And one of your jobs is to say we got a fund in Columbia and in that fund is just four numbers here. It's a million dollar fund. It's got a million dollars in it and your job is to take that money and invest it. Do you know how many people come to you every single day and say, hey, Mr. Treasurer, ah I got a hedge fund over here. We were doing really well. We would love for you. 02:52 to give us the money in that fund and we will invest in our, we'll put it in our hedge fund and boy, you're gonna get a lot of great returns on that. Do you know how many people do that? A lot of people, it happens every day. So then you think, well, wait a minute, that money is still the state's money, how does that benefit the treasurer or whoever's in charge of that fund? Well, it goes like this. And by the way, if you, 03:21 invest in our fund, I've got a friend and that friend has a position open on their board of directors. It pays pretty well. You've got a son, don't you? You've got a daughter. You've got a wife or a husband. Would they like that seat on the board of directors? Why, yes, I would. Yes, they would. 03:51 Now it doesn't require any work. All they got to do is show up maybe once a quarter and vote however they want to vote. But you know, it pays pretty good. That's how it gets done. How it gets done every single day here in South Carolina. Every single day they're always hammering. are people, if there is money somewhere, somebody wants it. Somebody wants it because by the way, their fee for controlling those funds is pretty significant. Let's go to Larry in Cleveland County. Larry, welcome. 04:20 a car i don't know i'm good but what's going on and let me know what i to point out that will grow the way that was just here where they were there you know as a risk right did you hear that they let him off the hook because i'm confident that well uh... so here's what they're doing that taking this guy and ... 382 Wed, 10 Jun 2026 21:33:00 +0000 2TOSHlwtR9Pt0flPPHnxULonDw4Nl1df news The Charlie James Show Podcast news H3-S2 The Charlie James Show originates from News/Talk 989 WORD, The Upstate's #1 Talk Station, weekdays 3-7pm. The Vermont Conversation with David Goodman
Celebrating and defending protest, America's founding principle

As the nation approaches its 250th anniversary, two veteran activists are celebrating one of the country's foundational principles: the right to protest, as embodied in the Declaration of Independence. But they warn that this right is under attack.“Our ability to protest is key to moving forward on a whole range of environmental and social issues … which is why I'm so terrified at the thought of losing this democratic right,” said Annie Leonard, who spent 17 years with Greenpeace USA, serving as executive director from 2014 to 2023.She and André Carothers are co-authors of “Protest: Respect It, Defend It, Use It.” Carothers spent 13 years with Greenpeace USA and co-founded and led the Rockwood Leadership Institute. The two have direct experience of the power of the protest and the ferocity of the pushback.Anti-protest laws are spreading and becoming increasingly repressive. Nearly 400 anti-protest bills have been introduced in 45 states, according to the International Center for Not-For-Profit Law. Activists are now being charged with felonies and accused of terrorism. One of the most draconian anti-protest tools is known as a strategic lawsuit against public participation, as was filed against Greenpeace by Energy Transfers, builder of the Dakota Access Pipeline. The company accused Greenpeace of inciting violence and spreading misinformation during indigenous-led protests in 2016 and 2017 that delayed construction. Last year, a North Dakota jury awarded Energy Transfers $660 million, later reduced to a still-staggering $345 million.SLAPP lawsuits “are designed to intimidate, silence, scare, distract and bankrupt critics,” Leonard told me. “It's a kind of corporate legal bullying” intended to prevent people from protesting. Forty states, including Vermont, now have anti-SLAPP statutes.“Protest” describes creative and successful acts of resistance from around the world. Among these are the 2015 protests by “kayaktivists” in Seattle aimed at stopping Shell Oil from drilling in the Arctic. Hundreds of people in kayaks, sailboats and tribal canoes took to the water to block an oil drilling rig, Shell's Polar Pioneer, as it was being moved to Alaska. The boaters held up signs saying, “Save the Arctic,” “Oil-Free Future” and “Shell No!”After spending $7 billion on Arctic oil exploration, Shell ultimately canceled the project, citing high costs and “the challenging and unpredictable federal regulatory environment,” which protesters took credit for.Leonard said that what made the Seattle protest successful was that it was “part of a long intentional escalating campaign” that included family kayak training each weekend and free kayak rentals. “There were community meetings and art builds. It was a very inclusive and participatory set of activities for a couple of years leading up to filling the actual bay with kayaks to try to stop the Polar Pioneer from moving forward.”Carothers noted that “a lot of these protesters are not honored at the time.” Rosa Parks and her husband lost their jobs and had to leave town after her refusal to give up her seat for a white person on a bus in Montgomery, Alabama, in 1955. It took nearly 40 years before Parks was honored by President Bill Clinton with a Presidential Medal of Freedom.“There are so many ways to get involved,” said Carothers, highlighting how citizens have protested the federal immigration crackdowns in New Orleans, Los Angeles and Minneapolis. He said he counted 27 different ways that people in Minneapolis resisted U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, “from people driving their neighbors' kids to school because they didn't want to leave the house,” to lawyers offering their services in cars, to people delivering food to their immigrant neighbors, to others “who went to the detention center with a blanket and a cup of hot soup when someone was released.”Leonard and Carothers want their book to be both inspirational and practical. They are speaking at the Patagonia store in Burlington on June 5 and offering a training in nonviolent resistance the following day.“If you're feeling alone and if you're feeling isolated, don't be alone,” Carothers said. “Find a neighbor, find a mailing list that is describing what's available to you in your community … and do what it takes to support the universe of people who are perhaps more inclined to go in the street, or perhaps more inclined to be arrested because they have the social capital (or) the economic flexibility to risk arrest in a way other people don't.”“There's lots of ways to be involved,” Carothers added, emphasizing: “Protest works.”

TrustTalk - It's all about Trust

In this replay of a 2023 interview, Severin de Wit speaks with Economist Benjamin Ho - Professor of Economics at Vassar College and author of Why Trust Matters: An Economist's Guide to the Ties That Bind Us. What if trust isn't just a feeling, but something humans have been calculating for thousands of years? Ben Ho uses game theory to explain why we cooperate at all, why we keep promises that cost us, and why the words I am sorry almost never work the way we expect. Ben explains why an apology only repairs trust when it carries a real cost. He shares what an experiment with Uber revealed about late rides and unhappy customers, and why Bill Clinton never apologized over Monica Lewinsky - exposing the hidden trade-off between being liked and being respected. The conversation travels from early hunter-gatherer societies, where the first written records were accounting rather than poetry, to the Paris Climate Agreement - a deal built almost entirely on trust rather than enforcement. Ben makes the case that trust is the quiet infrastructure beneath markets, contracts, and treaties. Take it away, and none of it holds. Jones Act Waiver

Let's Know Things

Play Episode Listen Later Jun 2, 2026 20:02

This week we talk about the Merchant Marine Act, trade routes, and incentives. We also discuss Wesley Jones, foreign competition, and artificial monopolies.Recommended Book: The Quantum Thief by Hannu RajaniemiTranscriptIn 1920, the then-Senator for the state of Washington, Wesley Jones, who was also the chairman of the Senate Commerce Committee, introduced the Merchant Marine Act as a method by which the American merchant marine could be sustained and remain competitive in the face of external competition, and in the wake of the destruction of a bunch of ship during WWI.The US Merchant Marine is all the commercial water-going vessels that are US flagged, and the crews of these vessels. During peacetime, these boats and ships conduct trade and other services along the United States' coasts and throughout its internal waterways, its rivers and lakes. During wartime, these vessels and their crews are tapped to help move troops and weapons and supplies for offensive or defensive military efforts. The theory of this proposed Act, then, was to ensure that the US Merchant Marine would remain well-funded and well-taken-care-of, because lacking some kind of government support, there was a good chance it would either slowly degrade, not having enough business to pay for itself, or—and this has been a persistent concern for similar pseudo-fleets of merchant vessels around the world for the past few hundred years—it would fall into disrepair because it would be outcompeted by vessels and crew coming in from elsewhere that would charge lower prices, creating unsustainable economics for the locals and thus slowly degrading this economic and military asset. When this Act was proposed, in 1920, the preservation of this asset was on the mind of many US politicians, as the world had just emerged from World War I, and in that and previous conflicts, the US Merchant Marine had been pretty vital to ensuring the US eventually came out on the right side of things. It was also fundamental to the rebuilding of the US economy following difficult conflicts, because the moving of cargo from city to city along coastlines, and throughout long expanses of rivers—getting food from place to place, getting building supplies where they need to go—has always been important, especially following periods in which there isn't a lot of building going on, and when supplies chains are reoriented toward other purposes, like fighting. So in addition to all the language the helps regulate trade within US waters and between US ports, and which says how the crew of such vessels have to be treated, this Act was also meant to provide protected status to US Merchant Marine vessels and crew, giving them a pseudo-monopoly on certain types of trade activities in the US.It was also—and this is important context—meant to give Senator Jones' state of Washington a de facto monopoly on trade with Alaska. But it was sold to the rest of Congress and the country as a means of bolstering the funds flowing into the US Merchant Marine. Section 27 of this act, often called the Jones Act, requires that all goods transported between US ports be carried by US vessels built in the US, flying the US flag, owned by US citizens and with majority US citizen and permanent US resident crews. What I'd like to talk about today are the other consequences of the Merchant Marine Act of 1920, and in particular the Jones Act component of it, and why there's been renewed opposition to the Jones Act in recent months.—The logic of the Jones Act, at least on the surface, is pretty straightforward. If you're worried about foreign competition coming in and taking all the shipping jobs, swooping in from areas where crews aren't paid as much, and where ships can be built cheaper, so they can charge less than US-made and -manned ships, all you have to do is require all the ships and people on the ships are of US-origin, and you're good to go. Those foreign competitors aren't allowed to take the jobs, and that sets the standards in a different place, allowing US vessels and their crew and owners to charge whatever they need to charge to sustain themselves. This, in theory at least, should also stimulate the US ship-building industry, as that monopoly means anyone who builds new ships stands a pretty good chance of making their money back. After all, there's no dramatically cheaper competition out there, so you've got relatively little downward price pressure and seemingly plenty of customers, because there's a lot of US coast, and a lot of internal waterways that have traditionally be used for trading purposes. In practice, though—and this isn't uncommon with protectionist measures; things that seem like they should work for the intended purpose actually leading to other, less ideal outcomes—the Jones Act is often blamed for increasing prices on pretty much everything, and for increasing prices dramatically in places like Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, and other US territories, like American Samoa and Guam, that are reliant on imports to survive. If open competition isn't allowed, prices don't tend to go down, and in fact they can instead go up, especially if the number of entities providing these services drops over time. That means places without other options, without the ability to ship food and electrical equipment and other such fundamentals using highways or regularly flying, large cargo planes, they are forced to pay increasingly high cargo ship prices, instead. And there's no chance that a competitor will emerge, because there just aren't enough ships available to haul all the stuff these places need at a regular, sustaining, cost-effective cadence. These higher prices are kind of built into the monopoly model, but they're made even worse by the state of the US shipbuilding industry, which for a while, from about the mid-1800s until the mid-20th century, was top of the line, producing more ships than any other country during WWII, and before that churning out some of the best and fastest ships in the world for trade purposes. But after the two world wars, and a surge in shipbuilding infrastructure that was rapidly deployed in the first half of the 20th century, US government subsidies for the industry began to dry up, many of the ships built during the war were sold to foreign countries and private owners for a quick buck, and most of that infrastructure was mothballed, the more efficient processes it developed decommissioned in favor of less-efficient, more expensive approaches.During WWI, the US churned out more then 5,000 ships at the over 100 shipyards it had operating at the time, and was able to produce more naval tonnage in three years than it had produced in the entire history of the nation's existence, up till that point.Post-WWI, though, the US was already less efficient than foreign competitors, especially European competition, and post-WWII, the emergence of overland infrastructure in the US, like the burgeoning national highway system, made shipping via trucks increasingly competitive with the previously dominant approach of shipping via internal waterways.Airline shipping became a competitor, too, around that same time. So the technological developments and new overland infrastructure of the post-World War era meant that in the US, although coastal shipping in particular remained a solid option for many types of shipping, using trucks on the nation's growing highway system usually ended up being cheaper and easier, and in some cases much faster, too, and eventually air cargo became even more competitive for some types of jobs and clientele. The oil crises of the 1970s amplified this trend, collapsing the market for oil tanker ships and seriously damaging the overall shipbuilding industry, including in the US. Even with new US government subsidies meant to support the flailing industry, building ships in the US usually just didn't make much economic sense, the cost of building on US soil costing nearly twice as much as it did in some foreign ports.During the Reagan administration, even those 1930s-era subsidies were dropped, and that led to further collapse in the US shipbuilding industry. Before the end of these subsidies, the US was producing about 20 commercial ships per year, already a catastrophic drop from the World Wars era, but after the end of the subsidies, it produced five commercial vessels in the next eight years, combined. Some new subsidies were introduced in the 90s, when the Cold War ended, but the industry was in such bad shape at that point, orders from the US military and from commercial traders often went unfulfilled, or went wildly over budget. Some ships were finished, but riddled with so many flaws that they were unusable.US shipbuilders blamed foreign government subsidies, claiming they were really bad at their jobs because other countries were giving their shipbuilding entities more money to exist, and President Bill Clinton was able to secure an agreement with many of the US's trading partners to temper these subsidies a bit, in response to those complaints. Though when US shipbuilders realized this agreement would also mean they would lose some of their subsidies, in the tradeoff, they switched to campaigning against it, and the US ultimately wasn't involved in that agreement. The US's shipbuilding efforts improved a bit in the late-90s and early 2000s, but efforts elsewhere were better, and while the US produced about 3% of all commercial shipping tonnage, of all trade-related naval vessels, basically, in the early 1970s, by 1999, that was down to 0.25% of global tonnage. At this point, following that aforementioned agreement to reduce subsidies and others like it, much of the world's shipbuilding industries are on pretty solid footing without government support, while the US's is protected by the Jones Act, and very much not in solid shape; it's completely uncompetitive and wildly unproductive, and this has led to many secondary, knock-on issues, like increased prices, especially in places like Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico, but this actually reportedly costs the US economy something like 0.1 to 0.4% of its total GDP, so about $31.8 billion to $127.4 billion each year. And it's also hobbled our efforts to invest in things like offshore wind farms and other such infrastructure, because we simply don't have enough ships in operation to do that sort of thing. These ships also just cost so much to use, even when they're available, that the price of shipping and deploying things is overwhelming, especially compared to doing the same in other countries. In mid-March of 2026, the second Trump administration issued a Jones Act waiver for some types of product, including energy products, fertilizer, and related inputs, like ammonia. That means on an emergency basis, foreign-flagged, built, and staffed ships can operate in US waters, bringing these types of trade goods from US port to US port, without penalty.Within just two months of the waiver going into effect, dozens of foreign vessels entered the US trade market, reinforcing slumping trade routes and even creating new ones. The Gulf Cost to West Coast route has proved to be especially popular, seeing four times the trade activity from the Gulf to California in just those two months as we previously saw over the whole of 2025, combined, and a an entirely new route emerged, too, shipping naphtha from California to Texas.More shipping also arose between the US mainland and Puerto Rico, bringing propane to Puerto Rico in a usable volume for the first time because there are no liquified petroleum gas tankers in the Jones Act fleet; this meant that despite the large amounts of LPG produced in the US, Puerto Rico usually has to import their LPG from Chile and other foreign sources; this waiver allowed them to get it from the US mainland, instead. In April of this year, the Trump administration announced a 90-day extension of the Jones Act waiver. This waiver is intended to help moderate surging prices on all sorts of good, especially energy products, at a moment in which the closure of the Strait of Hormuz has created shortages of such products on global markets. That shortage has stoked inflation, all over the place, but especially in the US, hence this effort to temper that inflation; it is an election year in the US, after all.The waiver seems to be helping, in some limited regards at least, and it's providing all sorts of data for groups that oppose it, illuminating what seems to be latent demand for such trade routes, that demand typically unmet because of the limitations of the Jones Act on waterway and coastal trade in the US; there just aren't enough US-made and created and flagged ships performing this kind of trade because of that artificial monopoly. The American Maritime Partnership, however, which is a lobbying group put together by the US domestic maritime industry, recently launched an ad campaign aimed at ending the waiver, saying, basically, that the Jones Act protects the US maritime industry from unfair foreign competition, and that it protects the US from foreign threats that might otherwise infiltrate and negatively impact US markets; the implication being that terrorists or some such might come to the US with trade vessels, and then wreak havoc by doing terrorist things via these vessels, or maybe use them to bring more drugs into the country.Given the power such lobbying groups have in the US, there's a solid possibility that when an agreement is eventually reached with Iran over the Strait of Hormuz, and if global trade then returns to something like its previous default, this waiver will go away. That would be the politically expedient move by the Trump administration, because most people don't know enough about the Jones Act to care, but the maritime industry very much does, as without this artificial monopoly, they would probably be required to fundamentally change if they wanted to stay alive. There's evidence that getting rid of the Jones Act permanently might be beneficial on multiple fronts, especially in terms of inflation and overall economics, but also in terms of forcing the US maritime industry to make those costly, foundational changes. Despite the many possible benefits of doing away with this act, though, the ‘protect our borders from foreign invaders' aspect of the Jones Act might be enough to sway this administration toward fully reinstating it as soon as the conflict in Iran and inflation allows.Show Noteshttps://apnews.com/article/jones-act-trump-trade-abcac596db839bff3679b3117d2e81b2https://www.cato.org/blog/jones-act-waiver-data-reveals-universe-blocked-american-tradehttps://www.oecd.org/content/dam/oecd/en/publications/reports/2019/04/local-content-requirements-and-their-economic-effect-on-shipbuilding_f81e0027/90316781-en.pdfhttps://www.cato.org/blog/jones-act-contributes-offshore-wind-growing-painshttps://www.engine.online/news/us-maritime-group-urges-end-to-jones-act-waiver-7c1bhttps://gcaptain.com/chinese-cosco-tanker-delivers-asphalt-to-connecticut-under-jones-act-waiver/https://gcaptain.com/jones-act-waiver-reshapes-u-s-oil-trade-as-foreign-tankers-flood-domestic-routes/https://www.investopedia.com/terms/j/jonesact.asphttps://www.winston.com/en/legal-glossary/what-is-the-jones-acthttps://www.cato.org/publications/policy-analysis/jones-act-burden-america-can-no-longer-bearhttps://www.atlasnetwork.org/articles/the-jones-act-is-costly-harmful-and-dangeroushttps://www.maritime.dot.gov/ports/domestic-shipping/domestic-shippinghttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Merchant_Marine_Act_of_1920https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Merchant_Marinehttps://www.cato.org/blog/jones-act-contributes-offshore-wind-growing-pains This is a public episode. Ready to take my strong hand? This week on The Commentary Booth, host Jamie Apps is joined by the horror-loving duo behind the Killer Cuts podcast — ‘The Natural' Astrid Pizarro and Bobby Munson — for an uproarious celebration of the 25th anniversary of Scary Movie 2!Released in 2001, the Wayans brothers' chaotic sequel follows four college students (including icons Cindy Campbell and Shorty) tricked into a weekend "experiment" at a haunted mansion. What ensues is a relentless parade of ghostly groping, possessed weed plants, projectile vomit, and one very memorable malformed hand. But does this rushed sequel hold up? Jamie, Astrid, and Bobby debate whether the film's sketch-comedy pacing is a feature or a bug, defend the legacy of The Exorcist parody, and cringe at the jokes that aged like milk (sorry, Ray). They also break down the film's dense web of horror references from The Haunting and Poltergeist to Hannibal, and reveal wild casting trivia involving Marlon Brando and Britney Spears.Highlights Breakdown: - Does Scary Movie 2 beat the original? (Spoiler: It's complicated) - The "Strong Hand" Debate: Why everyone quotes this iconic scene wrong. - Lost Casting: The truth about Marlon Brando, Bill Clinton, and Christina Aguilera almost appearing. - The Dated Jokes: Why the Nike commercial parody confuses international fans and why the "What's Up" bit still works. - Horror References: From The Exorcist (perfect) to Hollow Man (the cigarette scene). - Looking Ahead: 17 film references spotted in the Scary Movie 6 trailer. Finally, the trio looks ahead to the long-awaited Scary Movie 6. With material ranging from Terrifier to The Substance and Get Out, they debate what the new film needs to do to survive in 2026.This week's episode is brought to you byAustralian Wrestling CardsCheck out more great content from Pario Magazine on our website.-------------------------------------------------------------SUPPORT PARIO MAGAZINE & THE COMMENTARY BOOTH- PATREON- BUY MERCH- AMAZON PRIME VIDEO- TUBEBUDDY- Subscribe to AEW Plus using my code (q0yydoz) to earn $10 in FITE credit- Shop Online With Honey- Shop Online With SatechiMY EQUIPMENT- Elgato Facecam- Rode PodMic- Elgato Wave Mic Arm LP- Streamlabs Talk StudioFOLLOW JAMIE ON SOCIAL MEDIA- Twitter- Facebook- Instagram- TikTokFOLLOW PARIO MAGAZINE ON SOCIAL MEDIA- Twitter- Facebook- Instagram

Congressional Democrats on the House Oversight Committee released a set of 19 photos from a larger trove of over 95,000 images obtained from Jeffrey Epstein's estate, aiming to shed light on his social connections. The photos include well-known figures such as President Donald Trump, former President Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, Steve Bannon, Larry Summers, Woody Allen, and Prince Andrew, often shown in social settings with Epstein or others; some images show Trump with unidentified women whose faces are redacted and others depict social scenes on jets or at events. None of the released photos directly show criminal acts, and their context and dates are not provided, but Democrats argue they raise important questions about Epstein's associations with powerful individuals and call for fuller transparency as part of a broader investigation. The release is part of an ongoing effort by lawmakers to review and make public materials from Epstein's estate and related government files. The photo release has quickly become political: **House Democrats say the images underscore a need to end what they call a “cover-up” and demand that the Department of Justice release the full set of Epstein files under the recently passed Epstein Files Transparency Act, which requires federal release of related documents by a mid-December deadline. Republicans and White House officials have criticized the release as selective and politically motivated, accusing Democrats of cherry-picking photos to create a narrative rather than present an objective record, and emphasizing that the photos do not demonstrate wrongdoing by anyone pictured. The disclosures have reignited public debate over Epstein's network and the extent of powerful people's associations with him, even as broader document releases and further image batches are expected in the coming weeks.to contact me:Disturbing photo on Epstein's desk sparks horror over 'incapacitated young girl passed out on couch' | Daily Mail OnlineBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.

Former President Bill Clinton testified under subpoena in a closed-door deposition before the Republican-controlled House Oversight Committee as part of its investigation into convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and his network. Over about six hours of questioning in Chappaqua, New York, Clinton repeatedly denied any knowledge of Epstein's criminal activities, emphasized that their interactions were limited and long predating Epstein's known crimes, and stressed he “did nothing wrong.” He said he saw “nothing” that gave him pause, may say “I don't recall” on old interactions, and maintained that any association ended years before Epstein's first criminal conviction. Clinton also defended his wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who had testified a day earlier and said she had no meaningful connection to Epstein.Republicans on the committee used the deposition to probe Clinton's past travel on Epstein's plane and old photos released in the Epstein Files, while Democrats framed the testimony as part of a broader push for transparency and have called for other high-profile figures, including President Donald Trump, to testify as well. Clinton's testimony marked the first time a former U.S. president was compelled to testify before Congress under subpoena in this context, and the committee may release the transcript or video publicly at its discretionto contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Bill Clinton faces grilling from lawmakers over Epstein ties | AP NewsBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.

Mark Middleton was a former special assistant to President Bill Clinton and a longtime Arkansas businessman whose name resurfaced repeatedly in connection with Jeffrey Epstein because of his role in helping facilitate access between Epstein and powerful political circles during the 1990s. Middleton worked in the Clinton White House during the administration's early years and later became the subject of scrutiny after visitor logs showed he helped arrange multiple White House visits for Epstein. One of the most discussed details was Middleton's role in introducing Epstein to senior administration officials and influential figures tied to science, finance, and politics. Epstein, who at the time was cultivating an image as a wealthy financier and philanthropist, used relationships like these to deepen his legitimacy and expand his social network among elite institutions. Middleton's connections to both Arkansas political circles and national Democratic fundraising networks made him a valuable bridge for Epstein as he sought influence far beyond Wall Street and Palm Beach.Interest in Middleton intensified years later after renewed public scrutiny of the Clinton-Epstein relationship and the release of White House visitor records showing Epstein visited the White House multiple times during the Clinton years. Middleton himself largely avoided public discussion of the matter and denied wrongdoing, but his role continued to attract attention because he appeared to have been one of the earliest high-level political gatekeepers to help Epstein move comfortably inside elite Washington circles. Questions surrounding Middleton became even more pronounced after his 2022 death, which authorities ruled a suicide, though the circumstances quickly fueled speculation online due to the already heightened public obsession surrounding Epstein's network and political associations. While there has never been evidence that Middleton was accused of participating in Epstein's criminal conduct, his documented role in helping connect Epstein to powerful institutions and influential individuals has kept his name firmly embedded in discussions about how Epstein gained access to some of the most powerful people in America.to ocntact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-moscow-murders-and-more--5852883/support.

Why did Democrats really lose in 2024 — and why are they still struggling to reconnect with working-class voters? Political commentator and Substack writer Matt Robison joins Howard Monroe for a candid deep dive into the Democratic Party's “autopsy,” the growing backlash to “woke” politics, trans sports controversies, immigration, media ecosystems, and the long-term branding crisis facing Democrats heading into 2028.Matt argues that Democrats face a deeper problem than messaging alone: voters increasingly see the party as disconnected from everyday concerns like inflation, immigration, fairness, and economic anxiety. Drawing on new polling from Pew, Blueprint, and other sources, Matt explains why issues like DEI, transgender athletes in women's sports, and cultural overreach have become potent political vulnerabilities — even as Americans continue supporting equality and anti-discrimination in principle. The conversation also explores:Why the official DNC “autopsy” fell flatWhether Democrats are trapped by activist cultural politicsWhy Republicans dominate the media ecosystemThe future of podcasts, YouTube, and Substack in politicsWhether Democrats can produce a new “Bill Clinton”-style rebrandWhy the 2028 nominee may emerge from nowhereEarly signs of Republican pushback against Donald TrumpIf you're trying to understand where American politics may be headed next, this is one of the most honest conversations you'll hear.⏱️ TIMESTAMPS0:00 Intro and summer plans1:00 Why the 2026 World Cup could be huge for America2:05 The DNC “autopsy” begins2:45 Why Matt calls the autopsy “half-assed”3:30 Democrats' real problem: a broken brand4:40 “Woke, weak, and way too liberal”5:20 How Democrats handed Republicans cultural ammunition6:00 Polling on DEI and diversity6:50 Polling on transgender issues and women's sports8:00 The Blueprint postmortem and why Harris lost swing voters9:10 Inflation, immigration, and cultural backlash10:00 Seth Moulton and Democratic fear of dissent11:15 “You can't beat deplorables by being insufferables”12:00 Why Democrats need a new standard-bearer13:00 Why the 2028 nominee may come from nowhere14:30 The danger of another “out-woke” primary16:00 Why Democrats failed to build a media ecosystem18:00 Is the “liberal media” a myth?19:30 Conservative talk radio and Republican media dominance21:00 Why campaigns “rent attention”22:00 Podcasts, YouTube, and independent media opportunities23:00 Kamala Harris and the vice presidency debate24:00 Immigration politics and Harris's strategic mistakes25:00 Republican pushback against Trump begins?26:00 Trump's grip on Republican primaries26:40 Trump as a growing political liability#Politics #Democrats #Trump #KamalaHarris #2024Election #Woke #DEI #TransIssues #PoliticalPodcast #BeyondPolitics #Substack #Media #PoliticalAnalysis #Election2028 #MattRobison

The 2024 election was a disaster for the Democrats. They have never been held to account for any of it. That would ordinarily be the job of the legacy media, but they've long since abandoned any pretense of objectivity. They are part of the “resistance,” and friendly fire is not in the job description.Do I sound bitter? I suppose I am. I once believed in not just the Democratic Party but the Obama coalition. I was a loyal, devoted soldier who believed we were all fighting the good fight, even before Trump won. We were the side that cared about climate change, women's rights, the poor, and the marginalized. It took me decades to go from being a cynical 18-year-old in the 1980s who didn't think there was any point to voting to a person who believed my vote could change the world. That cynicism would be polished off over time, as we headed into the 1990s with political correctness and therapy culture on the rise. We wanted to fix ourselves. We wanted — needed — to fill the void left by the doom spiral in the aftermath of the “Me Generation” and their counterculture revolution. It was Bill Clinton, by way of Aaron Sorkin, who ultimately pulled us out of it and primed us for a spiritual revival under the euphoric, history-making win of Barack Obama. I believed in hope and change. I believed in a new America.I believed my friends on Facebook who treated me with respect and love every time I fired off an impassioned plea for votes. I believed all of the women who made those signs for the Women's March, the Climate March, and the Gun Control March. I, too, thought Trump's win meant America couldn't handle the first black president and the Confederacy was back for another round. What I know now is that none of it was real. We were not the New Puritans leading the country into the promised land. We were like every other political party, seeking absolute power and total control. Any truthful autopsy would have to start there. The Democrats have been lying to themselves and lying to their voters about what these last ten years have really been about: the refusal to relinquish power after losing an election. Democracy becomes a problem for a party that no longer believes in it if the wrong people win. From Real Clear Politics podcast Andrew Walworth, Tom Bevan and Carl Cannon:Any honest autopsy of the 2024 election would have to start back in 2016, when Hillary Clinton was anointed by Obama, who leapfrogged Biden, meaning Biden would finally get his shot in 2020. They should have thought that one through because it would come back to bite them four years later when they pushed him out of office. They practice top-down democracy, in which party leaders attempt to steer voters in the right direction rather than allowing candidates to make the case to the people. The problem with the Democrats is that they needed someone like Donald Trump to blow through their carefully laid plans. The shame of what the Democrats did in 2024 is almost as bad as what they did in 2020 to orchestrate Joe Biden's win. Both of these elections were rooted in the mass delusion that Donald Trump wasn't just a political opponent but an existential threat, so anything goes - even censoring the Hunter Biden laptop, or pushing out a duly elected president. That delusion gave them unlimited power in their minds, which made them the most corrupt political party in my lifetime, taking what never belonged to them, pushing “resistance theater” throughout American society, and coming up mostly empty anyway.A real autopsy would require cleaning house on all of it, admitting everything. It would require admitting to their voters that they knew they were lying about Trump to cover up their own failures. After all, wouldn't it have been easier just to offer the people something better rather than treating Trump like a supervillain that could not be destroyed by ordinary means? No, because their biggest problem is that their only vision for the future is to reach back into the past. They still want to undo the Trump presidency rather than learn from it. They are fighting to bring back the utopia we all built under Barack Obama, and that has been the Democrats' fatal mistake.Barack Obama's grip on the party means they can't move forward.A real autopsy would have to talk about Obama's ongoing influence and control of the party. Why do you think he's making appearances with Zohran Mamdani and James Talarico? He sees them as the party's future because they are Obama clones, more or less. You don't see him out there boosting Gavin Newsom, just as you don't see many leaders on the Left rising to take Obama's place. They must all be shadows of him, which is why it was Kamala Harris in 2024, Joe Biden in 2020, and Hillary Clinton in 2016.Obama couldn't lose. He was treated like a god and king. He was never going to let Trump win this ten-year war. He couldn't hand the country over to the guy who dared question his birth certificate, the guy they called a “racist” and a “rapist,” but more than that, he represented the undoing of the Obama Coalition and the worldwide movement it inspired. There was no way the Democrats were ever going to let that happen. By 2016, they had control of almost everything, from institutions to universities to culture, so why not use it? Exiling and disenfranchising Trump voters was all done in the name of Barack Obama. You see, it had to be racism that gave rise to Trump because Obama couldn't fail.Isn't it so much easier to blame America? To blame it on sexism and racism? Isn't that what they tell themselves now about 2024? America wasn't ready for any woman, especially a woman of color? Isn't it easier to see it that way rather than address the real problem with the utopia we all built: it shuts too many people out?The Culture of Silence and the Climate of FearThe Vanity Fair story about how Democrats fear Kamala Harris running again is telling. Or rather, not telling. They are too afraid to use their real names. It is still considered blasphemy inside the Democratic Party to criticize her, as she has attained Obama-level status. She campaigned for Obama back in 2008 and was once called the “female Obama.” Harris rode the coattails of making history.Winning was easy for her. She was pretty and tough. She made the Democrats look good and won every single race as her star began to rise: District Attorney, Attorney General, Senator, and Vice President, next in line behind a very old Joe Biden. Probably, he would have stepped aside and handed her the presidency had he won a second term. Either way, Harris was not the best choice for Vice President, and the Democrats knew that at the time. The 100 people who signed a letter urging Biden not to choose Harris for “cosmetic reasons” were then shamed back into silence lest they be called racists and misogynists. The so-called autopsy vindicates Harris, which is all part of the same game. She is too big to fail and too popular to be cast aside, especially now after the redistricting fight has put Democrats back in “Jim Crow 2.0” mode.A real autopsy would have to confront this: how they continue to fall back on the same blame game: it's those racists over there. It's not our fault. We haven't failed our voters. We have to stop them. We have to keep fighting this war against them, our fellow Americans. How can they even begin to confront who they are and what they've become? How can they reckon with all of the madness they've put the American people through for ten long years? The January 6th show trials, the lies about Kenosha being a “Civil Rights” protest, the mocking and celebrating of Charlie Kirk's assassination, the raiding of Mar-a-Lago, the censoring of dissent via the FBI on social media, Russiagate, the collapse of a once-thriving culture, impeachments, indictments, and the unending No Kings protests. If they want a real autopsy, they should talk to people like me, once loyal supporters who were chewed up and spit out by a political party that could not tolerate even simple questions about “cancel culture” mass hysteria, or the rising intolerance in the Left writ large, or why someone's career would go up in flames just for voting for Trump. And forget about asking whether toddlers should wear masks or pre-teens should take medication that sterilizes them for life.I walked away from the party in 2020. I couldn't believe what I watched them do, what I helped them do, to drag Joe Biden over the finish line. I knew he was too old. I knew Kamala Harris was a ticking time bomb. I knew it would all blow up in our faces eventually. But lying was so much easier, especially with a full-court press serving as a propaganda front. They have been lying for so long that they don't even know how to stop. The biggest lie was that Trump was a “fascist.” They're still telling that lie. They're still scaring Americans into manic desperation every day. The lies are what drove me away. I couldn't live with them. The truth matters, especially if you're cutting up the body to find out what killed it.The lies began in 2016 when Hillary Clinton, the Democrats, and loyalists like me couldn't face the truth about why she lost. It was one lie piled on top of another, and no one had the courage to face down the social media mobs to set the record straight. Any dissent was met with strict reprisals. Before long, everyone settled into a climate of fear and a culture of silence as the new normal.Their problem goes back to the Art of War. If you don't know yourself or your enemy, you will succumb in every battle. They should first try to understand themselves. If they could just see who and what they are, and why America would choose Trump a second time, they'd be halfway there. Then, if they could understand Trump, who he really is, rather than the character they invented, they'd finally come back to the real world with the rest of us.The Democrats are in love with the dream Obama sold, not the reality of what America became with the Democrats in power. There are too many truths left to face. There are too many ghosts haunting them. There is no point in performing an autopsy on a body with nothing inside but smoke mirrors. // This is a public episode.

While there has never been evidence that Middleton was accused of participating in Epstein's criminal conduct, his documented role in helping connect Epstein to powerful institutions and influential individuals has kept his name firmly embedded in discussions about how Epstein gained access to some of the most powerful people in America.to ocntact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.com

Crisis doesn't care about your schedule,  and when it hits, the difference between survival and collapse comes down to judgment, preparation, and who you have in your corner. In this episode of Cut to the Chase, Gregg Goldfarb sits down with Itay Ben Horin, one of Israel's leading crisis strategists and owner of Israel's largest communications consulting firm, Ben Horin & Alexandroitz, to unpack what a real crisis looks like and how the best leaders navigate it. Following Clinton's victory, Pamela was appointed Ambassador to France, a role she took with immense seriousness despite her lack of formal education. She became a highly respected diplomat, earning praise for her work on the 50th anniversary of D-Day and her "invisible but decisive" role in the Bosnia peace negotiations. She used her personal experience of the Blitz to provide a moral compass for ending the Balkan bloodshed, effectively bridging the gap between Washington and Paris. However, her final years were marred by stress from lawsuits filed by Averell Harriman'schildren over his fortune, which threatened her with bankruptcy. Under this pressure, she suffered a fatal brain hemorrhage while swimming at the Ritz in Paris. At her funeral, President Bill Clinton delivered a moving tribute, stating he would not have reached the presidency without her and praising her significant contributions to her adopted country. In the 1980s, Pamela identified the potential in a defeated Bill Clinton, mentoring him on public presentation and helping him believe in his political future. She used her Georgetown home to raise massive funds, becoming a kingmaker who helped shape the modern Democratic electoral machine. Beyond domestic politics, Pamela played an extraordinary role in Cold War diplomacy. In 1983, she and an ailing Averell traveled to Moscow to open back-channels with Soviet leader Yuri Andropov. Later, Raisa Gorbachev specifically requested to visit Pamela's home, bypassing Nancy Reagan to acknowledge Pamela's role in fostering nuclear arms treaties. During the 1992 election, Pamela drew on Winston Churchill's 1945 defeat to convince Clinton that a popular war-time president like George H.W. Bush could be beaten on economic issues. Clinton credits his reach to the White House to Pamela's strategic guidance and support. (7/8)1654
