FOX Sports' lead College Football analyst Joel Klatt makes his picks for the First Round of the College Football Playoff before making his full bracket prediction for the CFP including his National Champion Pick. He begins by making his pick in the Friday Night game as Kalen DeBoer's #9 Alabama team travels to Norman to take on #8 Oklahoma. He then considers if #10 Miami can keep their hot streak going on the road against #7 Texas A&M. The time has finally arrived. Twelve regular season games, and the conference championship games, have all led up to this point. After all of the questions, debate, anger and anxiety; the first round of the College Football Playoff begins Friday! The excitement gets started with ninth-seeded Alabama visiting eighth-seeded Oklahoma. A rematch from the regular season in which the Sooners came out on top. Andy Staples, Ross Dellenger and Steven Godfrey discuss the matchup and what they think both teams need to do to come out victorious. Then, they take a look at another big-time matchup that will see tenth-seeded Miami visit seventh-seeded Texas A&M. They discuss the quick turnaround A&M has made under Mike Elko and how Miami can come away victorious. Also, Godfrey discusses the Group of Five teams deserving a spot in the Playoff and Ross looks at the fourteen coaches who will be coaching in the Playoff despite having accepted a different coaching job for next season. Then, Ross talks about a story he wrote last year that is coming back to light. The current CFP agreement states that in the 2026 season, the Power 4 conference champions will be guaranteed a spot in the field. It also stated that a Top-12 ranked Notre Dame would automatically get a bid. This overlooked and forgotten caveat has become the topic of much debate. The crew discusses its impact and what may come of this agreement if the Playoff is expanded to 16 teams. They also dive into the NFL's impact on the CFP and why some of the premiere college games this weekend are not in the premiere time slots.Later, it's time for I've Got A Feeling. Mark has been hunting all of his life, has a professional wildlife and land manager for more than 45 years. He says he has hunted turkeys for 40 years and counting. He has won 17 Grand National Championships including, turkey calling, Owl hooting and Gobbling. 5 Grand National Campion of Champions, 8 World championships including 2 world gobbling championships, 4 world owl hooting and 2 NRA game calling which includes 7 different species. 2 US open owl hooting championships, 2 Grand American Turkey Calling Championships, many state championships in SC and NC. Including the only person to win the state in every game call category. Duck, 2 man Duck, goose, Turkey, and Owl. Mark also qualified for and competed in the World Championship of Duck calling and has won the Rocky Mtn. Elk Foundation elk calling contests. Mark Prudhomme was inducted into the NWTF Hall of fame. He loves hunting and shooting with side by side shotguns and also enjoys traditional bow hunting. Mark also has a reputation for making trumpet calls and tube calls for turkeys. Mark says he was saved at an early age and was raised in church and is a member of First Baptist Church in Georgetown, SC where he served as a Deacon. When she's not at the barn, she is a civil engineer focusing on traffic safety. She is the Director of the Wisconsin Local Technical Assistance Program and Associate Director of the Traffic Operations and Safety Laboratory and Eastern Tribal Technical Assistance Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  She is a passionate advocate for making research tangible to practitioners and to foster implementation and widespread adoption.  Guest: Mara Bunderson is a 2025 graduate of UW Madison and competed on the Wisconsin Equestrian Team for four years. She earned titles of IHSA Reserve National Champion in 2023 and National Champion in 2024 under her trainer and coach, Andi Bill. She's remained active in the equestrian world, working for Emily Elek as a groom at Pony Finals and riding/taking lessons at both Stonewall Farm and Sugar Creek Stables. When Mark Bomba accepted the head coaching role at Queen's University in 2020, he inherited a men's program that was decades removed from their last appearance on a national cross country podium. When the University of Victoria women's cross country team claimed a team bronze medal at last year's U Sports Canadian University Championships, it marked the first time in 13 years that the Vikes had climbed onto the national podium. Claiming bronze individually that same day was Madelyn Eybergen, a breakout star at the University of Windsor, who had entered the season as a complete unknown. Eybergen discovered distance running only a year earlier after injury woes put an end to a promising varsity high-jump career. At the time, both feats seemed like crowning achievements: a return to form for the once-dominant Vikes program after several years of steady rebuilding under new head coach Hilary Stellingwerff, and an incredible cap to her career as a Lancer for Eybergen, who was set to wrap up her time in Windsor and pursue graduate studies in kinesiology elsewhere.Fast-forward to this past weekend in Sherbrooke, Que., however, and the 2025 iteration of the U Sports Championships would see both the Vikes and Eybergen achieve even greater heights, topping the podium with gold medals in the team and individual competitions, respectively. The biggest difference a year later?
