The Philadelphia Eagles will be playing in the Super Bowl in just a few days! This week's Super Bowl preview show dives into what we'll be seeing from the Eagles and even the Kansas City Chiefs in a rematch from two Super Bowls ago. Brandon Lee Gowton, also known as BLG, from BleedingGreenNation.com joined us for our preview as we dove into the Eagles offensive line, defensive front, and much more. It was a fantastic discussion with BLG!But first, the guys talked about the big and recent Flyers trade as we said goodbye to Joel Farabee and Morgan Frost. The team looks to reshape some things organizationally as they acquired talent from the Flames. How does this set the stage for the Flyers' future? (Approx. 5:50)From there, they discussed the recent NBA trade of Luka Doncic to the Lakers and how baffling that trade was for many. Plus, they dove into whether or not Paul George may be traded from the Sixers. (Approx. 18:00)They guys then moved on to their Eagles Super Bowl preview as they discussed expectations for the Super Bowl, and their confidence level in the Eagles being able to become NFL Champions again. (Approx. 33:50)What they threw down on the Table this week was an in-depth discussion and continuation of their Super Bowl preview with Brandon Lee Gowton from Bleeding Green Nation. Can the Chiefs actually neutralize the Eagles offensive line? No turnover from Jalen Hurts is the key. The wide receivers' role as the Chiefs will utilize the blitz in dime packaes. Analyzing the Eagles pass rush against the Chiefs offense. All of this and much more this week on the Table! The podcast dives into the remarkable history of the Providence Steamroller, recognized as New England's first NFL team, and their journey to becoming champions in 1928. Host Darren Hayes speaks with author Greg Tranter, who details his extensive research and insights from his new book on the team. The conversation highlights the Steamroller's unique nickname origin, born out of a casual fan conversation, and how they capitalized on local talent from institutions like Brown University. Passed Ball Show #712 12-16-2023. This program is centered around John talking about the advantage the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers have over the other teams in Major League Baseball when it comes to signing free agents. Even if the competing teams (the non Yankees and Dodgers) are willing to pay the cost of a perspective free agent, the fact that the Yankees and Dodgers want the player plays out to the advantage of the latter two teams. But just getting a seat at the table is not enough to get an equal chance as the others. The other team will have to pay more for the player because the player will go to the Yankees or Dodgers if the money is similar or equal. During today's #Savingsportshistory segment, John talks about Jack Dempsey, the Canton Bulldogs, Providence Steam Roller, Joe Louis, NFL Champions, OJ Simpson, the Miami Dolphins, Tom Brookshier, Refrigerator Perry, Sliding Billy Hamilton, and Ernie Terrell.

The Pottsville Maroons had the top record in the NFL in 1925. All signs pointed to them being crowned the NFL Champions for the season. EPISODE SUMMARY The New York Giants joined the National Football League in 1925. From that time until 1964, the team had success. Here's how. Although there wasn't an NFL championship game played in 1927, the Giants were named NFL Champions based on having the best record in the league (11–1). They would play in 14 NFL Championship games between 1933–1963. Although they won only three of those games, playing 14 title games in 31 years is impressive.... Hear That Podcast Growlin': A show about the Cincinnati Bengals
Cincinnati is six degrees from a Lombardi Trophy after pulling away from the reigning NFL Champions last Saturday. To win beat a contender like Tampa Bay in the postseason and vie for an actual title, the Bengals are going to need every tool possible, like the deep ball. And that's where Paul and Jay start today's show, with a Burrow-Chase and co. long ball update. What did Brian Callahan think of Jackson Carman's preseason outing? Will he remain shelved on the second unit? Is D'Ante Smith a viable candidate for a starting o-line job? In lieu of Jamal Adams inking a deal to make him the highest-paid safety in NFL history, PDJ and JM contemplate whether Jessie Bates will receive a similar contract. Will Cincinnati try to pinch pennies with Bates, or will they pay him what he's worth? Lastly, Joseph Ossai's injury; RPB buyers or sellers; preseason Q&A; Friday's Growler bet & Jay's got stats. Tune in to superfan and host, Matt Johnson, alongside his team of Andrew Lenz, Brian Finch, Ryan Holt Bailey, Jack and David Talebkhah, Vince Mease, Edward Jessie, Nick Wojton and Jacob Miller, and their takes on the NFL in his football talk podcast, “The 2-pt Conversation” , featuring daily content Monday through Friday. Before the rise of the AFL, and eventually, the Super Bowl, the winners of the National Football League season were called the NFL Champions. From 1920 - 1965, being the NFL Champion was the highest reward for professional football players. Now, that honor is often forgotten, and rarely ever acknowledged. Matt and Andrew discuss the old NFL Championship, and why they believe that it's not discussed anymore! This episode is sponsored by Amy & Co! In her own words: "We are all born with limitless potential, we all have a place in this world. It is our privilege to not ‘CHANGE’ who we are, but ‘BECOME’ who we are. Most recently, she is working on a book about Yoga and Meditation. As Rosie mentions in her bio, she was raised in East LA in the 90’s. As you may not know, that was a high-time for gang violence in Los Angeles. “Reading and researching back to that time, there were about 450-500 different gangs around my area. I was raised in an environment of fear. Hearing gun shots daily, was a very normal thing.” Not only growing up in the pure neighborhood chaos, but Rosie was also personally raised in an alcoholic household. Not knowing at the time of course, but all of which has turned her into an insanely independent, radical human being! She takes us back to her days of stressful events, anxiety-ridden habits and her depressed surroundings. Like most of the kids/teens her age in the area, Rosie got caught up in drugs and alcohol, skipping class and unethical behavior. “I was quickly becoming a product of my environment.” At the young age of 6, Rosie witnessed her first drive by shooting. Having to self-regulate to calm her nerves, she reminisces on how she remembered her breathing technique in that moment and how it soon became a part of her daily habits. Having developed anxiety and panic attacks, this breathing-form became a norm…rapidly. Fast forwarding into her late-teens/early 20’s, Rosie took it upon herself to get healthy. No extra “push” no pressure, just the shear desire to be better. “A friend of mine suggested I run a marathon, but I hated running. I thought to myself 'The only time I remember running, was away from something…most likely the authority.'” Going to school full-time, working full-time and indulging herself, headfirst into yoga teacher training, Rosie was a busy young girl to say the least. Rosie’s whirl-wind background is extremely inspiring and powerful. She has made something out of nothing, and continues to go above and beyond in her life and work. “We are all born with limitless potential, we all have a place in this world, it is part of our journey to be radically curious, radically inspired and be radically loved.” In This Episode You Will Learn: Overcoming fear Curiosity Perseverance Trauma Anxiety Stress Depression Breathing technical Self regulation Meditation Yoga Resources: Radically Loved Podcast Radically Loved Yoga Teacher Mentorship Program Looking for radical life changes?
