Okay, sweet one, let's talk about the grand lie of having a purpose. Because hasn't everyone, at some point, stared into their organic kale salad and wondered, "WHY am I here?"Really, isn't that THE question? We're all chasing that deeper something, the elusive unicorn of purpose, because, well, we think it equals happiness. Glitter cannons and rainbows!Basically, aren't we all just hunting for joy through our jobs, our love lives, and maybe that overpriced yoga retreat? Because let's be honest, if those things led to misery, we'd be binge-watching Netflix instead. (Okay, some days we do both.)So, how do you actually find this magical life purpose?If you boil down every self-help book ever written (and I've read a LOT), two ideas bubble to the surface, like so much kombucha. They create two distinct, shall we say, *vibes* about Life.Vibe #1: Purpose is “Out There!”This is the story we're constantly sold, the narrative with all the bells and whistles. It's the idea that purpose and happiness are about *doing* and *getting*.What exactly are you supposed to be getting?Well, according to the marketing gurus (who are probably sipping martinis on a yacht somewhere), it's always - More! Better!More experiences, more influence, a passive income stream that makes your eyes water, a better house with a walk-in closet for your shoes, a better job that feeds your soul AND pays the bills, better sex (because, duh), and for the truly enlightened, a better, more Instagrammable spirituality.It's always *better* than what you've got right now, darling. But here's the cosmic joke: More and Better *never* actually deliver. As that wise old grump Ecclesiastes put it: "Meaningless! Meaningless! Everything is meaningless! But…life is still amazing.” (Even he couldn't help but throw in an "amazing" at the end!)We all kinda know this, right? We feel it in our bones after every online shopping spree. Still, those clever ads keep whispering promises. So, we jump back on the hamster wheel, convinced *this time* it'll be different. A new job! A soulmate who understands our obsession with miniature dachshunds! A truly transformative experience involving a llama!The catch? It's always a future promise. "Once I _______, then I'll find purpose/happiness/meaning."Once I quit my soul-crushing job, I'll finally be happy.Once I meet Mr./Ms. Right, then I'll know what love REALLY is.The future, my friend, is perpetually "tomorrow." That's the lie behind Vibe #1. The “hedonic treadmill” will leave you exhausted and feeling slightly used. Vibe #2: Your Purpose and Happiness are *Here, Now* Because Honey, *You ARE* the Purpose.The mind really throws a tantrum at this one based on how we've been programmed to have a “PURPOSE.”What if the truth is ridiculously simple: You *are* your purpose? You're here to know and be your glorious, messy, authentic Self as you cast your VISION and allow the listening to answer your CALLING (more on this on my next series of purpose). Seriously, pause for a moment and let that sink in.You're here to express your utterly unique, wonderfully weird, creative Self fully, freely, and fearlessly.Everything else such as your creativity, your relationships, your questionable fashion choices – are just sparkling byproducts of you being *you*.Knowing and being yourself? That's the answer to "What is my highest purpose and the source of my deepest freakin' joy?"The hitch? We've forgotten who we are. From childhood, we get handed a cookie-cutter mold for the "Good Life" who to be, what to want, what success looks like.So, we spend our lives trying to squish ourselves into that mold, developing a seriously messed-up case of mistaken identity. Then BAM! Quarter-life crises! Mid-life meltdowns! (It's all very dramatic, really.) So, how do you start?Embrace the Disillusionment, Darling.If you're feeling a little… blah about life, congratulations! You're right where you need to be. Disillusionment is inevitable. We no longer grasp to who we thought we were, and the one “purpose” we have in this life - and feeling that pressure!Even if you achieve all the things, the shine wears off. (That's just physics.)Own it. There's wisdom in that “blah” feeling. The pain of disillusionment can unlock a whole new, glittery world of freedom and possibilities.Why?Disillusionment means shedding the illusions. Seeing through the B.S. The cultural story that says purpose is “out there” is just a cleverly disguised sales pitch.You've checked the boxes, achieved the goals. But how long did it last? How long before you were chasing the next spiritual high?Spiritual goals are fabulous, but notice how we're always trying to *escape* those uncomfortable feelings.We launch projects, start cleanses, binge-watch cat videos. But eventually, we're back to the same damn questions.Wherever you go, there you are (and your existential baggage). So, you might as well embrace it.Disillusionment is an invitation. Like a pang of hunger, it's your True Self nudging you toward the truth.Look around. Mental illness is on the rise. Loneliness is an epidemic. People are quietly quitting their lives. Clearly, something's gotta give. The way we work, the way we live, the way we define "purpose"… it's all crumbling.That old story that purpose is “out there” keeps us stuck. That's the real question, isn't it? Who are you?Or, more accurately, *what* are you?Time to reframe this, Darling.What Is Your Vision and Soul Calling?A Vision is the art of seeing life's possibilities unfold—a profound and intuitive process that bridges the gap between your inner truth and the external world. It invites you to see not only the road ahead but also the unseen opportunities that lie along your path. Unlike conventional purpose driven vision, which often confines itself to specific, tangible goals, a calling embraces the unknown and empowers you to trust in the unfolding of your life's purpose. It is both a lens and a compass, helping you navigate toward your authentic self.The roots of the word “vision” are steeped in ancient wisdom. Derived from the Proto-Indo-European WEID, meaning “to see” or “to know,” the concept of vision transcends time and space. It reminds you that seeing is not merely a physical act but a deeper knowing—a connection to clarity and purpose that originates from within. THEREFORE. The vision Creates the PATH. I Refuse | Soul Calling | Part 6 This morning, Senior Pastor David Dwight closed out our sermon series, Soul Calling, with a message on the parable of the wedding banquet. Ultimately, this parable is not about being good or bad but about the posture of the heart. God's invitation comes with His authority, and entry into His kingdom is based on repentance and humility, not personal merit. Many assume that being “good” is enough, but Jesus reframes the question entirely — asking not if we are good, but if we are willing to surrender to God's terms rather than our own. The closing words, “Many are called, but few are chosen,” remind us that while the invitation is extended to all, only those who respond with true humility are welcomed into the joy of God's kingdom. The Business of Heaven | Soul Calling | Part 5 We are deep into our sermon series, Soul Calling, where we're exploring Jesus' teaching through the parables. Today, we were in Matthew 21:33-44, where in the last week of His life, Jesus shares the parable of the tenants. We see a vineyard owner intentionally investing in his business — tilling the ground, planting seeds, digging a winepress, and building a watchtower. After renting the land to farmers, he sends his servants to collect the fruit, but they are met with hostility and greed for the farmers intended to reap the harvest for themselves. Jesus delivers a sobering truth: “Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who produce its fruit.” (v. 43) We are called to live a Kingdom life in partnership with God. We are called to work alongside Him with joy — sharing in His vision and plan for redemption. We are invited into His mission — serving Him and bearing fruit. Do we see it that way? Senior Pastor David Dwight challenged us to examine our vision of life with God. Do we ask what God does for us or what we do for God?

WarmlyShiloh Sophia Transcipt:The Rise of the Sacred Feminine through the Intentional Creativity LineageIn 2010, my family and I did something outrageous. We developed an intuitive painting process dedicated to revealing the Sacred Feminine within each woman. Any woman could learn it for themselves, and teach others how to do this step-by-step process. This was a journey to direct knowing and awakening to soul. You might wonder why this matters. Well, let me tell you! In the past 10,000 years of patriarchal oppression, the image and story and ceremony of women has been under attack. This is evidenced and measured in the statistics beyond counting. But there's something more. Being silenced, burned, and scorned, and altered into an image of ourselves we barely recognize is caught up in our bones and has greatly impacted our capacity to truly see and be ourselves. The colonization plan was not just about land and culture, but about women's bodies and brains and the children that they give birth to. Yet, we are remembering now because we have to and we want to.This has been a long journey to arrive here for many of us. It is certainly in the best interest of dominant systems for women's voices to be twisted and unable to be heard, but we know better. Let's continue to become a danger to the establishments!The reclamation of women and our access to our power is directly connected with chosen Self-Initiation. We literally take ourselves on a Journey of Remembering. We have to. There are many ways to say yes to that experience, and one of them is through the healing arts and defined lengths of time within which we commit to ourselves and our self-expression. Most women... with dedication, can arrive at their awakening on their own, but it is best in the company of other women on the path. That's where we come in. I was shown by my two mothers and that I have spent my life sharing with women and their families, a journey toward awakening to our fullness. Gifts being passed from hand to hand and heart to heart. In the first certification training we ever offered in 2010, Color of Woman, we taught women how to recreate themselves in their own image, their own story, and their own way of creating ceremony and how to design their own workshops, courses, and circles. This nine-month journey of reclamation created a Sheroe's journey so that women could curate their own identity and design their legend for their lives. It was an astonishment to all who have taken the training. Really. We continue to be amazed.Every year I consider not continuing, and then every year I continue, because of the impacts. But this truly is the last year. Other things will rise up, but this is ready to complete. But it will be passed to all of you, and you will pass it to those you choose. The part that's completing is not the teaching of Intentional Creativity, but the Certification Trainings. For those of us called to be guides, helpers, and healers, in the process of discovering ourselves, we develop a hunger to share this gift of revelation with other women. How many breakthroughs have you had where you almost immediately wanted other women to know, but for them to have to not work so hard to know it? You share what you learned. That's how I felt when I awakened to my Soul Calling. I was 23. I was a total failure at art college. I thought I was doomed to work in an office until my moms, the Poet Mother, Caron and the Painter Mother, Sue called me to the mountain. For one year, they taught me to access image and language for myself. I call this Mother Tongue. My own style, narrative, and true essence began to emerge. A fire in my heart was lit in relationship to the sacred women and the Sacred Feminine.I realized that She, the Sacred Feminine, hadn't really gone anywhere. It was us who had lost sight of Her, but it was enforced, and She was removed from our lives with intention. Her groves burned, churches built over Her ruins, Her temples destroyed, Her images buried, burned, and marred. Her story is turned into myths where She is subjugated to him. Lies. No more. She was always in every single culture in the entire world since the beginning of humans. The removal of the feminine as equal from spiritual traditions and governmental positions and leadership frameworks has truly had one of the most devastating impacts we could conceive of.We are seeing it and feeling it now in new ways. FYI, if you think the narratives like this are somehow radical or feminist, please check your own narrative. Because women give birth to the children, and the children become the ones who guide the future. Respecting women is not a political position. It is rational humanity.After that year of initiation, I had a fine art career for 15 years with galleries and had incredible success. I sold hundreds of paintings and reached hundreds of thousands of people with my books. Then I gave it all up for a time to teach other women what I knew and felt. I thought I could keep both going, but I couldn't. I had to turn towards teaching instead of selling my paintings. I realized that what women really wanted was to do it for themselves, not just buy my paintings. The gifts of feminine power were were within reach.And, quiet as it's kept, you didn't need to have talent in art and writing to do this work. You just needed to be brave as you wield the brush and the pen, shaking in your boots about what's about to emerge. What is true within you will emerge in a specific sacred container as a quest to the heart of your Soul Work. That which is yours to cause and to create. It is women who make this sacred container for other women, women who have been on their path and have tested and proven the journey they offer as a pathway for other women.We aren't some kind of pop-up certification program developed by AI to entice women to empowerment. We have been doing this work for generations. We have a lineage. My two mothers were taught by their two mothers. You don't have to be an artist or a writer to create paintings and stories. We show any woman how to access this deep wellspring of remembering and claiming within herself to reveal her greatest work. Of course, it isn't really about painting and writing. That is simply the matter-based ritual we use to awaken ourselves to the energies living within us that are seeking expression.One of our graduates, Kerry Lee, calls this art with purpose. It's intentional creativity. I'm inviting you to join us for Color of Woman 2025. It will be our last training of its kind. Each woman will travel around the Alchemical Compass to meet five creative Sacred Feminine archetypes and create five major paintings. And she will make a book, her own book, hard copy and digital, of her story and images and teachings, a portfolio. Each woman will also design her own content with teachings and her own course for the workshops and circles she wants to lead. Have you heard of Jung's red book, where it all began? Each woman will create her own red book.We are deeply in need of visionary leadership from women who have done their work to Become. This approach, which we call Intentional Creativity, works within any field and any medium. It doesn't actually have to be painting. It's a philosophy. It's a lifestyle. Educators and healers from all fields, therapists, doctors, shamankas, plant medicine women, coaches, corporate C-suite career women, mamas, grandmas, and school teachers, can all use this approach to bring their work to life in living color so that she may live the colors of woman. Her own sacred feminine presence and soul rememberings. I remember when I made my very first book by the same name, Color of Woman. I was 25. I was trying to figure out what the title would be as I stood at Kinko's at midnight creating my first 25 copies, which were already sold to therapists who wanted me to put my images into a book. It was my mother, Caron who said, you should call it Color of Woman. (it had a blank cover of hand-made paper with rose petals and I hand-painted very title). Thank you Aletheia Mystea, the County Health Therapist who saw the value in my art and asked me to make a book for the women you were working with).Consider joining us for the 2025 COLOR of WOMAN cohort and graduating in 2026. Wait for It | Soul Calling | Part 4 This morning, Senior Associate Pastor Pete Bowell continued our Soul Calling series with a message on Matthew 25:1-13. The parable of the ten bridesmaids is one of hopeful perseverance, but also of sober judgement. The parable begins by saying, “Then the Kingdom of Heaven will be like ten bridesmaids who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. The five who were foolish didn't take enough olive oil for their lamps, but the other five were wise enough to take along extra oil.” If the bridegroom we, the Church, wait for, Jesus, is on the way, as Scripture says, then that reality changes everything. It changes the way we live. It calls us to be thoughtful and watchful, to prepare in the waiting. It calls us to keep the lamps of our souls burning and to ensure that we fill our reserve of oil to sustain us in the in-between. Jesus Christ is coming to redeem, restore, and make all things new, and we eagerly anticipate that day. As we wait with eternal hope, it would be wise to ask ourselves this question: Are we like the bridesmaids who did not prepare enough oil? The Shadow of Righteousness | Soul Calling | Part 3 This morning, we continued our series, Soul Calling, with a powerful message from Senior Pastor David Dwight on the parable of the tax collector. In Luke 18:9-14, Jesus cuts to the core of the human condition. We see the Pharisee, a religious figure of this time, thanking God that he isn't like other sinners — measuring his righteousness against others — wholly unaware of the sickness pervading his own soul. Meanwhile, the tax collector stands at a distance, overwhelmed by his unworthiness. He doesn't justify himself or compare his sins to anyone else's. Instead, he humbly cries out, “God, have mercy on me, a sinner.” Jesus declares that it was the tax collector, not the Pharisee, who went home justified before God. “For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.” (Luke 18:14) Through this parable, Jesus invites us to repent and examine ourselves not by the standards of others but by the holiness of God alone. Self-righteousness makes us feel safe and powerful, but in repentance, we find life. And here's the good news: when we turn to Jesus in humility, we don't find condemnation — we find mercy, love beyond measure, and open arms waiting to receive us.
The Weight of Forgiveness | Soul Calling | Part 2 This morning, we continued our series, Soul Calling, with a message from Executive Pastor Wes Peterson. In Matthew 18:21-35, Peter asked Jesus how often he should forgive someone who wrongs him — seven times? Jesus challenged him to go far beyond, saying, not seven times, but seventy-seven times. He then shares the parable of the unforgiving servant. Out of mercy, a king forgave a servant's incredible debt. Yet, when confronted with a much smaller debt owed to him, the servant chose not to forgive as he was forgiven. The message is clear: we have been forgiven beyond measure, and in response, we are called to extend that same mercy to others. Forgiveness isn't about keeping score — it's about reflecting the limitless grace we've received. Fruitful Teaching | Soul Calling | Part 1 Today, we kicked off a brand new sermon series exploring Jesus' teachings through the parables. These powerful stories were one of Jesus' ways of teaching truth — inviting reflection and provoking thought unique to each person. This morning, Senior Pastor David Dwight walked us through Matthew 13:1-15, the parable of the sower. Just as the condition of the soil determines whether a seed thrives or dies, so the state of our souls affects how God's Word takes root in us. Are our souls tended and enriched by scripture, prayer, community, and service? Or are they strangled by this life's anxieties, distracted and hardened by culture, or weakened by the storms of hardship? In the same way Adam was created to tend the Garden of Eden in partnership with God, we are invited to cultivate the soil of our souls — making them soft, receptive, and fertile ground for the seed of God's Word to sow and continuously bear fruit.

In this Intuitive Flow Session, I dove into the topic of how to overcome impostor syndrome on your soul calling journey. Imposter syndrome often comes up when you are trying something new, and can be especially challenging when you are stepping into your purpose. Even though this is a common fear, you don't have to let it hold you back from following your dreams. It's only when you let imposter syndrome take over that it slows you down or even stops you from stepping into your purpose and being of service to others. When you are feeling imposter syndrome, your mind will question, “Who am I to do this?” It will also question if you ‘know enough' and try to convince you that ‘you're not ready'. These discouraging voices make it very easy to slip into self-sabotage and believe the made-up story your mind has created. In this episode, I walk you through some powerful affirmations for overcoming imposter syndrome, as well as my five-step process that will break old habits down from a mindset perspective, an energetic perspective, and a practical perspective. You'll walk away with tangible tools that will shift this pattern in order for you to follow your path and claim your new identity. Following my soul's calling has led me down a beautiful, non-linear path of self-discovery. After working with a nutritionist to heal the health struggles that I was facing in college, I knew that I wanted to support others to do the same. But, so many challenging emotions started to pop up when I tried to launch my own business. I had to dig into my fears, insecurities, and shadows in order to really move forward and be successful. I was working with a business coach at the time, but it wasn't until I discovered masculine and feminine dynamics that I started to take a more holistic approach to wellness and business. Once I incorporated embodiment work into my life and started surrounding myself with inspiring, supportive women, my business completely shifted. I've discovered more ease, flow, and abundance in all areas of my life because of this inner work.
