Eine Million Menschen tanzen jedes Jahr um das Zürcher Seebecken. Angefangen hat es mit 1500 – und einem Kampf gegen das Tanzverbot. Marek Krynski, Gründer der Street Parade, erzählt, wie aus einer nächtlichen Eingebung die grösste Technoparade der Welt wurde. In dieser Folge von «Soltis Studiocast» erzählt der damalige Mathematik- und Philosophiestudent, wie ihn 1991 ein MTV-Beitrag über die Berliner Love Parade nicht mehr losliess, bis er mitten in der Nacht aufwachte mit dem Gedanken: Das geht auch in Zürich. Am 5. September 1992 zogen dann rund 1500 Menschen über die Bahnhofstrasse, angemeldet als politische Demonstration gegen das Tanzverbot. Heute kommen gegen eine Million. Krynski erinnert sich an ein Zürich, in dem es «meistens gar nichts gab»: kaum Clubs, kaum Orte, an denen man bis morgens tanzen konnte, wenig Lebensfreude. Er erzählt, wie die Stadt 1994 die Bewilligung verweigerte, weil Zürich angeblich zu klein für die Parade sei, wie eine Medienkonferenz und öffentlicher Druck den Entscheid kippten, und warum die erzwungene Verlegung ans Seebecken das Beste war, was der Parade passieren konnte.Host Christoph Soltmannowski war selbst in die Anfänge involviert: Er gründete damals mit Gregory Zäch, Zeno Van Essel und Peter Wolf das House- und Technomagazin Sputnik, verteilte mit Marek am Voraben der ersten Parade Flyer, war einer der drei Gründer des Vereins Street Parade und war lange Medienchef der Parade. 2002 schrieb er ein Buch über die Street Parade. Entsprechend persönlich fällt das Gespräch aus. Zum Schluss geht es um Marek Krynskis aktuelles Anliegen: die verbreitete Behauptung, Techno habe in Detroit angefangen, wie sie zuletzt auch die Ausstellung im Landesmuseum vertrat. Für ihn liegt der Ursprung woanders, beim Chicago House und beim belgischen New Beat. Warum ihn diese Frage nicht loslässt? «Wir müssen wissen, woher wir kommen, damit wir wissen, wohin wir gehen sollen.»5 wegweisende Songs, ausgesucht von Marek KrynskiFür Marek Krynski ist «Jack Your Body» von Steve «Silk» Hurley der Inbegriff von Chicago House: Wenn er nur ein Lied nennen dürfte, dann dieses. Das Hi-Hat auf dem Offbeat macht für ihn den Kern von House und Techno aus. Es war auch der Song, der ihn selbst zu House brachte. Als Schüler hörte er ihn abends beim Hausaufgabenmachen im «Black Music Special» auf DRS 3, einer Sendung, die ihn sonst kaum interessierte. Nach dreissig Sekunden drückte er die Aufnahmetaste seines Kassettengeräts, hörte das Stück wieder und wieder und tanzte zum ersten Mal allein in seinem Zimmer. Chicago House fand er klanglich wenig interessant, erst New Beat brachte die Sounds. Er habe einmal versucht, den Takt zu zählen, und sei gescheitert: Bei House ist das Eins-zwei-drei-vier völlig klar, hier nicht. Sein Punkt: Im frühen Techno war die Rhythmik nicht zentral. Joachim Garraud on the Virtual Sessions presented by The DJ Sessions 8/28/24   After seven years at the Conservatoire de Nantes (Nantes' classical music conservatory), Joachim Garraud, a musician with a passion for technology, developed his musical and artistic skills to become one of France's most influential producers in the early 2000s. He has collaborated with David Bowie, Kylie Minogue, Beyoncé, OMD, Deep Dish, Eurythmics, Paul Johnson, Cassius, Cerrone, Moby and Vitalic. He has been a close collaborator to Bob Sinclar and Jean-Michel Jarre in their musical projects for over 20 years, and has co-composed and co-produced David Guetta's hits such as "Just A Little More Love", "Love Don't Let Me Go", "Love is Gone" and "The World is Mine". Joachim, nominated for a Grammy Award in the "Best Remix" category, was the first French artist to use Pro-Tools, a leading music production software back in 1992. His Paris recording studio became one of the main meeting points of the influential musical movement known as "French Touch", of Daft Punk, Cassius, and Air fame. In addition to his producer's hat, Joachim Garraud has won several awards for his live performances at festivals around the world, including Coachella, Love Parade, Technoparade, Lollapalooza, Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival and Exit Festival. Joachim developed stage concepts ranging from the use of live musical instruments (he was the first DJ to play the Keytar) to the development of techniques linking video and live show (the first DJ to use synchronized video or 3D visual elements) to the development of mixing tools such as the Pioneer DJM-800, which became a standard in the deejaying industry. L'édition 2024 de la Techno Parade, le plus grand rassemblement électronique en France, est annulée cette année, en cause l'organisation des Jeux olympiques.  À cette occasion, Antoine Baduel invite Tommy Vaudecrane, président de Technopol pour nous en parler. 

Au début des années 90, Kriss s'est rapidement distingué comme une figure de proue de l'émergence de la scène électro française, se faisant connaître sous le nom de DJ Merlin. Il a joué un rôle central dans le développement de ce genre musical en France, grâce à sa participation à divers événements marquants. Ses prestations dans des clubs de renommée mondiale tels que le Palace, le Central (Queen), Folie's Pigalle, et le Gibus l'ont établi comme l'un des DJ les plus en vue du pays.Toujours attaché à la scène musicale française, Kriss n'a cependant jamais renoncé à partager sa passion pour la musique au-delà des frontières, se produisant dans des lieux emblématiques tels que l'HACIENDA en Croatie, le MUSCHI OBER MAIER à Berlin, et l'ELVIS à Thessalonique, pour n'en nommer que quelques-uns. Son talent l'a également conduit à être une figure demandée lors d'événements majeurs tels que la Gay Pride et la Technoparade à Paris, ainsi que dans plusieurs clubs en régions.Outre ses performances live, Kriss a également exploré le monde de l'édition musicale, lançant avec LEBAPT (Café Chéri(e) à Paris) l'une des premières compilations françaises, « ShakeShake!!! », suivie d'une collaboration avec Bruno Casties sur « DA-TRAXX X'CLUSIVE MIX SESSION ONE », mettant en avant des artistes internationaux tels que MFA et Superpitcher.Vers la fin des années 2000, il a pris les rênes de la direction artistique du Mixer bar, un bar LGBT emblématique dans le quartier du Marais à Paris, où il a supervisé la sortie de « Mixer tunes », une compilation qui a mis en vedette des artistes tels que Chloé, Jef K, et Phil Weeks.Aujourd'hui, Kriss continue de partager sa passion pour la musique en tant qu'animateur de son propre show sur Funky Pearls Radio, où il joue les meilleurs sons house pour un public averti. La music story du jour c'est celle de la TechnoParade… Ils ont pris la Bastille ! Pas de sans culottes ni de révolutionnaires, le 19 septembre 1998 se tenait la première Techno Parade, créée avec le soutien de l'ancien ministre de la Culture Jack Lang et Henri Maurel (fondateur de RadioFG), sur le modèle de la « Love Parade » de Berlin. Une première édition qui avait mobilisé plus de 200 000 participants. Une électro triomphante alors que résonnait déjà les sons de la French Touch comme « Music Sounds Better With You » de Stardust

Depuis 25 ans, l'association Technopol oeuvre pour la défense, la reconnaissance, et la promotion de la musique électronique. Organisatrice de la Techno Parade et d'évènements majeurs comme la Paris Electronic Week, l'asso mène aussi des actions politiques et accompagne des professionnels. Du lobbying à la formation, l'activité de Technopol n'a que peu d'égale en France lorsqu'il s'agit de se battre pour la culture des musiques électroniques. Steve Maia Caniço, animateur périscolaire de 24 ans et "teufeur", part se coucher sur les bords de Loire en marge d'un rassemblement tekno. Il tombe à l'eau suite à une intervention de police musclée pour disperser les derniers fétard·es sur place. Trois mois plus tard, la Techno Parade parisienne est dédiée à Steve. Nous y étions. This time we invite an Polish Rave Scene legend - Mic Ostap. One of the most characteristic and experienced Dj’s in Poland. Born, raised and living in center of Warsaw. He began his active interest in electronic dance music by visiting the cult club Filtry, and quickly started to perform as a dj (then as DJ MIC) on legendary parties in clubs Alfa, Hybrydy and Trend. In 1995 he travels to Berlin to buy vinyl for the first time. Inspiration from that city has a major influence on the course of his further musician path. Since then he performed regularly in every major Warsaw clubs and places connected with spontaneous and uncontrolled dance. He has also played abroad Poland on the Boomerang festival in Bratislava in Slovakia, took part in Red Bull Academy in Dublin in 2000 and played on the Techno Parade in Paris, in Berlin Kreuzberg and in underground places of London’s Shoreditch. Radium & Psiko 'Not My Tempo' This man needs no Introduction but for the view who dont know him in the Frenchcore scene : Radium: a multifaceted artist. Dj and founder member, in partnership with Al Core, of the mythic MICROPOINT duo since 1992, he ought to be considered as a major contributor to the creation of the Electronic scene in France. During the last decade of the 20th century, Micropoint has set the standards of french Hardcore Techno: “Frenchcore”. Since then, they have been releasing numerous EPs which were met with tremendous success within the scene. In 1995, while still working with Al Core for Micropoint, Radium began to produce numerous solo albums under the stage name which is now so famous within the Hardcore scene. He contributed in 1996 to the creation of the labels Dead End and Psychik Genocide in order to produce and promote the music he loved : Hardcore.(to him, the style of music that most permits experimentation). 1998 marks the release of Micropoint’s first LP: "Neurophonie", a never-before-seen in France. The popularity of this revolutionary style began to catch on quick and Micropoint shooted to fame bringing Frenchcore into a wider circuit. The same year, the duo was invited to appear to a public of over 100,000 people for a live session at the first Techno Parade in France. Micropoint’s 2nd LP, "Anesthesie International" (2000), meant the beginning of an important evolution in the electro scene : Hardcore Techno was beginning to mix with other similiar musical styles. The album was well received and brought the duo wide recognition on the international Electronic music scene. This same year, Radium released his first solo Mix CD entitled “Inhuman”: a mix which is both clever and varied. This release put Radium on the map as one of the leading DJs in Frenchcore. At that time, he became co-manager of the label Audiogenic, which quickly rose to both national and international success thanks to the quality of their productions. In 2001, Radium released his first solo LP, "Paranoia Performance", which was met with great acclaim for both the quality of the production and the originality of his work. For that matter, many tracks of this album have been remixed by notables artists such as Tieum, The Speed Freak, Marc Acardipane, and Hellfish. The overall success of his records led him to perform live shows both with Micropoint and as a solo Dj under the name of Radium. His shows, in which he often added a live drummer or MC, were packed all over France. He returned in 2003 with a 2nd album called "inExtremist" which lived up to its name and pushed back our definition of Frenchcore to the extremes. He continued over and over again with his solo live performances which ravished those who were nostalgic for his lives together with Micropoint. The release of the Mix CD "Darkcore 7"(2004) - in which he used noise and industrial sounds to create totally dancefllor tracks - under the Dutch label Master of Hardcore, demonstrated once more the capacities of this artist.
