I've always been fascinated by the use of Remote Cameras, but it's not something I've had the chance to try, unfortunately. The last time I cover it on the show was on the episode Using Remote Cameras with Canon Explorer of Light David Bergman, and then I also had the legendary Peter Read Miller Miller talking about how he used them in Sports Photography. I, however, had never thought about using them for Wedding Photo Photography, that is until I was talking to Canon Explorer of Light Bob Davis at Imaging USA this year. His presentation on the Canon stage was on just that topic, and after watching how he was using remote cameras, in his case for both wedding and wildlife photo, I knew this would be a conversation a lot of people might find fascinating. Bob & Dawn Davis are an international wedding photography and design husband and wife team based in the Chicagoland area. When I first met them back in 2020 for an interview at WPPI, it was immediately clear that this couple was an amazing team. I've since seen them both together, or as part of a panel, or individually, on the Canon stage at a conference multiple times, and the passion they bring to what they teach is amazing. What a lot of people don't know is Bob's history behind the camera. Bob began his career in the newspaper industry as a photojournalist, and over drinks one day, while we were looking through his old Chicago Bulls photos on his phone, I was blown away how this guy can shoot anything so damn well. The last time he was on the show was for an episode about Bob and Dawn's wildlife photography: Photograph in the Wild. Bob & Dawn Davis Photography & Design has a client list reads like a “Who's Who” of entertainment's elite. They have had the honor of photographing “A” list weddings such as Eva Longoria & Tony Parker's wedding in Paris, Salma Hayek & François-Henri Pinault's wedding in Italy, La La Vazquez & Carmelo Anthony's TV wedding in New York, Tracey Edmonds & Eddie Murphy's wedding in Bora Bora, ABC's TV show The Bachelorette Ashley's wedding to J.P. in California, along with many other fabulous events with Oprah Winfrey. Bob was also commissioned to work on the book America 24/7 that was featured on the Oprah Winfrey show and was a New York Times Best Seller. Their work has been featured in publications such as People, OK, O Magazine, InStyle, Inside Weddings, Town & Country, Munaluchi, Grace Ormonde, Modern Luxury Brides, The Knot, Ritz-Carlton magazine, Professional Photographer, Rangefinder, Popular Photography and more. Bob is in that small and highly elite group of photographers known as Canon Explorers of Light, along with being a member of the Westcott Top Pro Elite, SanDisk Extreme Team, and a ProMedia Gear Influencer. Together Bob and Dawn are the authors of two books, Lights Camera Capture, and We're Engaged! Earlier I used the word "passion" when talking about their willingness to teach and share their craft, but that word can be used to describe many areas of Bob and Dawn's world. They are passionate about their faith, their marriage, their family, and making the best of their lives. This a power couple. Bob and Dawn also lead wildlife photo workshops to places around the world, like Africa, or Alaska for their Alaska Brown Bear Adventure Workshop, which at the time of this writing still has 3 spots left for their next trip in Sept of 2025. Join Canon Explorer of Light Bob Davis and me as we do a deep dive into how Bob and Dawn use remote cameras on their wedding shoots, and we'll touch a little on how they use them for wildlife shoots too, on this episode of Behind the Shot. Michael B. Jordan was involved in a fender bender this weekend. He was driving his Ferrari in L.A. on Saturday night when he crashed into a parked Kia. Now, police officers noted it was a traffic collision of a vehicle into a parked car. There were no signs of foul play or evidence of a DUI. But if you look at the photos of the car Honey, the right fender of Jordan's Ferrari has been ripped off, as well as one of the tires. Ooh, he must have hit that parked car hard. The LAPD confirmed there were no arrests or charges made at the scene. Jordan and the other driver did exchange information after the incident. However, it seems Michael wasn't able to pick up his big award at the Academy Museum Gala. His sister had to accept it for him. So we're just hoping he is okay. You know, you get into those accidents and you feel it the next day. Beyoncé ruled the box office this weekend Her concert picture opened first place with $21 million in North American ticket sales. These estimates are from AMC Theaters on Sunday. You know, the early December box office is notoriously slow, but Renaissance actually defied the odds. It's the first time a film has opened over $20 million on this weekend in 20 years. Yep, the last one was The Last Samurai. I don't even know if I remember that. Beyonce wrote, directed, and produced Renaissance, which is focused on her tour for her Grammy-winning album. And I'm so happy for her. And you know what? Her daughter, Blue Ivy, she is right up there with Mom. She's been in all of the photos and all of the premieres. I absolutely love it. Keep the money going, honey. Deion Sanders calls off engagement Deion Sanders and Tracey Edmonds have ended their engagement. The couple announced it on Instagram over the weekend. They got officially engaged on Valentine's Day in 2019, but I guess it didn't work out. You know, they did post on Instagram this weekend that they are so thankful to everyone who's been there for them, supported them, and shown love. They said, "We have mutually decided it's best for us to move forward in life as friends, and we've made this decision with love in our hearts, respect for each other, and appreciation for the time we've shared together." MrAntDavis’ comedic roots began during his childhood a “Preacher’s Kid.” As a result, his creative, clean content naturally gleaned from his environment. MrAntDavis started off performing in originally written stage plays in 2002 as one of the original Playmakers along side KevOnStage and Jason Fredericks. In 2012, the Playmakers began entertaining audiences with original sketch comedy while opening for gospel legends such as Fred Hammond, Israel Houghton, Mary Mary, Hezekiah Walker and many more. Also in 2012, MrAntDavis helped pioneer the first YouTube videos of their kind for AlrightTV produced by Tracey Edmonds. Over the past eight years, MrAntDavis continues to make viral content for social media with close to a billion views by hundreds of thousands of followers on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. As a solo comedian, MrAntDavis continues to bring clean comedy to the world!Support the show (http://www.patreon.com/doseoftheghost)

She’s one of the most inspiring businesswomen I know. Tracey Edmonds is an award-winning Hollywood producer, TV presenter and CEO of Edmonds Entertainment Group. And now she’s helping people live their dream life through her new website Alright Now. Sometimes in life, situations happen that make you completely rethink your lifestyle. For Tracey, this moment came when her dad had a quadruple bypass. As he was fighting for his life, she made a vow to get healthy. At the time, she was eating a lot of junk food and was taking prescription meds for digestion issues. These issues disappeared when she changed her diet. From the age of 25, Tracey has been on a journey of discovery about nutrition, fitness and spirituality. Two years ago, Tracey lost her mum to an aggressive form of cancer called mesothelioma - and at the same time learned a lot about cancer, how it’s treated, and how it could be treated. As an outpatient, her mom was having Vitamin C IVs and taking supplements. Her tumors had shrunk by 40%. The second she had to go into hospital full-time, all that had to stop - no Vitamin C transfusions, no supplements, just western-medicine-approved chemotherapy and radiation. Her tumors grew back. She lost the battle against cancer. Just one year later, Tracey’s dad died from a heart attack. Nutrition and alternative healing are hardly talked about in traditional western medicine. Research shows that cancer cells feed on sugar, and yet you’ll find candy on display in chemotherapy centers. Evidence proves Vitamin C helps shrink tumors, and yet this is not part of cancer treatment. Most doctors get no more than a few hours nutrition training, how can they offer real advice? Some just see sickness as a business, a way to make money. This is why it’s so important that we do our own research. The loss of both her parents to preventable diseases spurred Tracey on to launch a health & wellness website and make the world a better place. Alright Now was born. Alright Now is an amazing resource for anyone wanting to learn about healing and how to live their best life. Health, fitness, parenting, career, relationships - it offers you tools to really thrive. Subscribe to the website and you’ll get amazing discounts on gym memberships, insurance and even restaurants! Tracey’s big message: don’t procrastinate. Don’t wait. Do some soul searching: what life do you want for yourself, what steps you do you need to make it happen? Declare it, write it, decide it - the only limits are those you build up in your mind. Declare the life that you want and make it happen. Being hailed as “Sex and the City for Food,” The Food Heals Podcast brings together experts in the field of nutrition, health and healing to teach you the best-kept natural secrets to being a hotter, healthier, happier YOU!
