Featured in season 1 of the Netflix series Surviving Death. Trailer Link.   "On Friday, February 5, 1993, the Fox TV reality show Sightings explored what could be a groundbreaking discovery in parapsychology: compelling evidence that ghosts exist and can communicate with us." John talks about regular encounters with shadow people, non-corporeal human forms and phantom hugs. One of their dogs seemed to validate what psychic Peter James suggested about a body being buried on the property. In addition to that, some highly unusual behavior might indicate the presence of a portal. One exchange with Wright strikes a deep chord: Q: “When might you show yourself to us?” A: “When you are ready.” Q: “When will we be ready? What is stopping us?” A: “Your fear.” FYI: Both the polaroid camera and film have been discontinued. The ghost written lettered images are no more - but the paranormal activity, present before "Wright" made an entrance, has not stopped. ooo On a personal note, I experienced something intriguing when the book about Wright arrived on September 8, 2021. At 2:30 a.m., Jack, our dog, wanted to go out. Suddenly, he went into full attack mode, barking wildly. Andy rushed to the scene and caught sight of something—a shadowy figure. He described it as a dark, cloud-like blob, roughly human in height but without a defined form. It glided across the room and seemed to exit through the front door, though he lost track of it in the dark. Jack has always been attuned to such phenomena. He once alerted me to a UFO hovering near the bedroom ceiling and has consistently sensed non-corporeal interlopers. This week's episode features Anna Runkle, also known as The Crappy Childhood Fairy. It is full of information about Complex PTSD (also known as C-PSTD) and the techniques you can use to calm your symptoms. Learn these techniques so that you can heal, have meaningful relationships and BE successful by BE-ing yourself. Complex PTSD is the result of repeatedly experiencing traumatic events, such as violence, neglect, or abuse. Childhood PTSD (the largest subset of C-PSTD) is often more severe because it occurs during the formative years of childhood. Healing from Complex PTSD or childhood trauma is a process but feeling better does not have to wait! In this episode we discuss the tools and strategies that Anna learned and began teaching her followers, subscribers, and clients. If you or someone you know has complex PTSD, you know how difficult it can be to cope when you get triggered. In this episode, Anna Runkle and I discuss the techniques that she uses to reregulate, by unpacking the thoughts that often spin out of control. My healing was not the result of one big AH-HA moment. It is a journey that is often painful and difficult. When I look back, I can't believe I have made it this far. However, I couldn't have done it without support. To find that support I began with forming healthy relationships (something that I am still working on). We also discuss the difficulties that people with PTSD often have with interpersonal relationships, the importance of feeling connected, and the techniques that will assist you in forming meaningful relationships. Many of us in geriatrics and palliative care assume that we are the experts in health care when it comes to understanding the caregiver experience.  Every once in a while, we are humbled and reminded of what we don't know. Jessica Zitter had such an experience.  Jessica, as many of you know, is an award winning author (link to our podcast about her book Extreme Measures) and was featured in an Academy Award winning film titled Extremis.  She sought out to make another movie about the story of one of her patients who enrolled in hospice. The sky opens for an almighty battle between good and evil. This valentine’s day, Cupid is shooting straight for the…heart. Writer/director Scott Jeffrey presents the horrifying true story of Venus and Mars’s offspring. Everyone knows the legend of Cupid.. But do they know his dark side? After being horrendously embarrassed by the mean girls at school, Faye, a practicing witch, summons the evil Cupid to take revenge on all those who wronged her. On Valentine’s Day Cupid does in fact rise and will stop at nothing until the walls are covered in blood. The students must figure out a way to stop Cupid and undo the spell before their hearts get broken…very literally. Georgina Jane, Bao Tieu, Michael Owusu, Abi Casson Thompson and Sarah T.
