Crédits  Générique : Dr Alban "Sing Hallelujah" Titres écoutés dans l'émission : “Right Next Door", "Dust N' Bones", "Live And Let Die", "Don't Cry", "Perfect Crime", "You Ain't The First", "Bad Obsession", "Back Off Bitch", "Double Talkin' Jive", "November Rain", "The Garden", "Garden Of Eden", "Don't Damn Me", "Bad Apples", "Dead Horse", "Coma", "Civil War", "Years", "Yesterdays", " Knockin' On Heaven's Door", "Get In The Ring", "Shotgun Blues", "Breakdown", "Pretty Tied Up", "Locomotive", "So Fine", "Estranged", "You Could Be Mine", "My World", "Anything goes (démo)", "Welcome to the Jungle", "On in the Million". Episode 7 of season 6 aired on Rebel Rock Radio at 7 pm on 16 Feb 2023. We eased in with The Boss, Bruce Springsteen, and a track called 'Last To Die'.  From there we heard Damageplan, the band that arguably cost Dimebag Darrell his life.  Red Dragon Cartel gave us a track called 'Big Mouth' featuring Maria Brink on vocals.  From there we were cruising, ACDC, Bush, and stuff like that. TSORR is working with Devographic and getting all the brand-new SA releases as they come out, or in our case about 12 hours before.  I don't like to lose music time on interviews but I am enjoying these short sort of elevator speech interviews, I think they add value in terms of bringing the artist to you.  I spoke to Sheldon Horvatic the guy behind Oceans of Angels who explains his new track called ‘Carnival' off his brand new EP titled The Gift.  Later on, when the music got a bit heavier we chatted to Jessy Switchblade, the frontman from SA Metal giants Deadline.  The new track 'Monuments' is awesome and shows that old-school metal is alive and well.   Mid-show we picked up the pace with Danko Jones and Airbourne with ‘Suicide Woman' and ‘Ready to Rock' respectively.  I discovered a Mark Haze album I did not know had been released, the album is called Signs of Life and we checked out 'Step Off'.  Mark is one of the best vocalists in the world let alone SA.  This week's Immortal track was ‘You Can't Always Get What You Want', The Stones nailed it, big chill all the way. This week on the Ultimate Challenge we looked at 1991.  I didn't spread it out as I did last week.  I played tracks off the four albums one after the other.  It depends on what was going on in your life but for me, 1991 was very special.  We checked out Skid Row with ‘Monkey Business', Ozzy Osbourne with ‘Hellraiser', Metallica with ‘Enter Sandman', and Guns ‘n' Roses with ‘You Could Be Mine'.  And the winner was………. Music, no one could decide they are all awesome.   The rules say you have to choose, it's gun to the head stuff so then it would be G 'N' R.  The new In Flames and Winery Dogs sound great, we took a listen.  the ending was very chilled, this is because i had a bit of a personal reflection and it marks a very specific point in time, I left it to Bob Dyland and Leonard Cohen to explain.  Thanks for listening.  Don't forget to check out  https://blog.feedspot.com/rock_and_roll_podcasts/?feedid=5328472  where TSORR is No 12 on the 35 Greatest Rock podcasts on the web Artists featured:  Bruce Springsteen, Damageplan, Red Dragon Cartel, ACDC, Bush, Night Ranger, Hellfighter, Rainbow, Stone Temple Pilots, Soundgarden, ZZ Top, The Who, The Sweet, Oceans of Angels, Linkin Park, Doom Squad, Judas Priest, Danko Jones, Airbourne, Mark Haze, Skid Row, Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, Guns ‘n' Roses, The Rolling Stones, Deadline, The Stranglers, The Clash, Halestorm, Girish and the Chronicles, Winery Dogs, In Flames, Tom Petty, The Gaslight Anthem, Leonard Cohen   The Story of Rock and Roll. This was a monumental moment in rock history as both albums shot straight to the top of charts. Use Your Illusion II debuted at Number 1 on the US Charts and would eventually go 7x Platinum.Fans of GNR crowded record stores to buy the most anticipated album releases in years. Use Your Illusion II boasted songs that were familiar to their fans, like Civil War, You Could Be Mine and Knockin' On Heaven's Door. The band had made some changes as well, adding keyboard player, Dizzy Reed to make it a 6 man unit and substituting Steven Adler (drugs) with Matt Sorum. The album was a purposeful departure from their landmark debut, Appetite For Destruction. Songs became longer, more thought out lyrics and themes were explored in their songwriting, especially by Axl Rose. The album still boasted Slash's amazing guitar work which was a highlight on this album. Songs were also sung by Izzy & Duff as well. All the bandmates contributed songs and lyrics, which gave the album a great variety of music styles and influences. This was Zeus' pick and he and Tom described how this album impacted Freshman year at Stonehill College for them both. Guns N' Roses is also the first band to have a second album on ARC, with the guys having reviewed Appetite For Destruction on the first episode of The Album Review Crew.As usual the boys breakdown and dissect the tracks and rank the songs. On the 30th Episode of the Album Review Crew of Shout It Out Loudcast, Tom, Zeus & Sonny review the 1991 album "Use Your Illusion II" by Guns N' Roses. This was GNR's 4th studio album and was released simultaneously with Use Your Illusion I on September 17, 1991. This was a monumental moment in rock history as both albums shot straight to the top of charts. Use Your Illusion II debuted at Number 1 on the US Charts and would eventually go 7x Platinum. Fans of GNR crowded record stores to buy the most anticipated album releases in years. Guns N' Roses is also the first band to have a second album on ARC, with the guys having reviewed Appetite For Destruction on the first episode of The Album Review Crew. As usual the boys breakdown and dissect the tracks and rank the songs. They then rank the album and the cover against the previous 28 albums reviewed on the Album Review Crew. It might take you 14 years to get through this episode, but don't cry because when you hear where someone ranks this album you will want them to Get In The Ring!!! PUNK! Both albums were released in conjunction with the Use Your Illusion Tour. Bolstered by the lead single “You Could Be Mine”, Use Your Illusion II was the slightly more popular of the two albums, selling 770,000 copies its first week and debuting at No. 1 on the U.S. charts, ahead of Use Your Illusion I's first-week sales of 685,000. As of 2010, Use Your Illusion II has sold 5,587,000 units in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Both albums have since been certified 7× Platinum by the RIAA. Nick was born the year AC/DC were formed (1973)) in the historically significant town of Hastings, which by then was more than a little tired. His parents John and Chrissie later moved the family up the coast to Bexhill-on- Sea, which Nick brilliantly sums up as a place where the main industry is care homes, London is the North and ambition is modest.   At University something clicked for Nick and with that came a desire for "MORE" and he was in a hurry to get it. In Nick's own inimitable words in the 90's he became a "fully loaded sales dick" and a successful one at that.   The first half of the 00's on the other hand was an incredibly challenging time for Nick and was in many ways life changing, as was the arrival in his life of Vicki who he married in 2011.   When we recorded this episode Nick and Vicki were preparing to move themselves and their three children Ben, Noah & Matilda to a new home and a new life in the French Alps. This is a plan and a move that has been in train for several years, and they are now in their new home.   I wish them every possible success in this brave and inspirational endeavour, and I look forward to having Vicki on the show in a years' time to tell us how it's going and share her story.   Nick's musical journey has had as many turns as his personal journey and he came up with a great set of song selections: 70's     Kenny Rogers                                                                                             The Gambler 80's     Guns N'Roses                                                                                You Could Be Mine 90's     Sisters of Mercy                                                                                                         More00's     Foo Fighters                                                                                               The Pretender10's     Pete Tong/Jules Buckley/Maxi Jazz                                                          Insomnia 20's     Jackie Wilson                    (Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher  These selections and a song from every artist mentioned is included in this Spotify Playlist. https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4LGLLlIg3V802CAOBLl1oY?si=c5bc8bff90fd48e4

She resided in TN for 10 yrs and recently moved back to her hometown of Cocoa Bch FL where she continues to write and perform originals and cover songs with her trio Aisle 4.Down by Barefoot ModernBarefoot Modern was born in 1998 in Winston-Salem, NC in the form of a ginger-bearded baby named Caleb Luh’-Zhern. Caleb burst forth from the womb with 9 months’ worth of songs already written. Flash-forward 8 years and 200 miles north, and you’ll find Mini-Robert (Beverly), with oversized glasses and feather boa, pounding out piano pop songs at an elementary school assembly in Goochland, Virginia. Back south in Oak Ridge, NC, we see Tegan Dean, Barefoot’s angelic lead singer, dribbling a soccer ball in her driveway, for hours, a song always on her lips. And close by in Jamestown, NC, Hunter Evans is flashing through childhood with his insane Bolt speed and Spidey-like acrobatic skills; on the rare spotting of this cheetah-child, he’s wielding a guitar. A few years later, Caleb, Hunter, and Robert met at high school, where they formed the garage-grunge band “The Bliss Trip.” They kicked butt and had some success for a few years until 2017, TBT morphs into Barefoot Modern. They won some awards, and are ready for more. You Don’t Deserve Me by Ginger“Born and raised in the little mountain town of Robbinsville, North Carolina, Ginger has been singing since she was old enough to stand. Now based out of Savannah, Georgia, Ginger is best known as the lead singer of the rock band Liquid Ginger, her new solo album “Fly on the Wall” quickly reminds you why she is a Georgia Music Award-winning vocalist.“Fly on the Wall” is all about: that secret, hidden life we all share full of heartbreak and love, fear and pain, triumph and hope. Ghost In The Mirror by Darren DPaul Wise [darren.wise.12] Proud endorser of PRS Guitars and Mesa Boogie published songwriter. He’s got something to do now with a band called Silvergun, and some dude named Drew Pearson, who used to play football for the Dallas Cowboys. Bro’s like famous, and he should be! Do Something by WEEPFrom the Space Coast of Florida, made up of a collection of rocket scientists and a real-live meteorologist, WEEP plays a fun modern funk rock style with conscious lyrics that echo the human condition. It’s a great show we’ve seen a dozen times and it gets better every darn time. Let’s check out Robin, Kimi, Melanie and Kat with one of their latest called You Could Be Mine by DogtoothDogtooth formed in 2013. Like most bands they started out playing covers of their favourite bands, playing over 300 gigs all over the UK in some great venues. Soon writing and recording their own material, gradually introducing their new songs into their live set.Debut EP "Breakthrough" was released in May 2017 with an instore launch at HMV, Argyle Street store and is available in all UK stores on 10" vinyl and CD format. Now with a full set of original material the band are as busy as ever with the ultimate goal being to release an album of their own.Sign by Catherine LeighCatherine Leigh is a singer-songwriter blending relaxing instrumentals with powerful lyrics. Catherine began teaching herself how to sing and play instruments during the summer of 2011 at 11 years old. While other kids enjoyed a break from school and spent their days poolside, Catherine found her happiness in perfecting her sound and spent her time performing streetside. Based in Tampa, she creates catchy rhythms and upbeat melodies that bring people together with every strum of her ukulele. Catherine's philosophy in chasing her dreams as a musician can be best summarized by a line from her original song, Sign: "One door closed, another door closed, I guess I'll just go through the window." Start Again by the ExplorersExplorers craft melodic and genre bending Indie synth pop music with an 80's influence.Taking their name from a mutual love of Joe Dante’s film, ‘Explorers’, the two piece - Jez Dennis (drums, synth) and Rob Bannister (synth, vocals) came together through a mutual love of nostalgia, 80’s cinema and a ‘DIY’ spirit built in a Chesterfield attic.
