Hidden Killers With Tony Brueski | True Crime News & Commentary
The Kouri Richins murder trial begins February 23rd, 2026, and the prosecution's case looks nothing like it did when she was arrested nearly three years ago. Robert Crozier — the man who allegedly sold fentanyl to Kouri's housekeeper Carmen Lauber — has signed a sworn affidavit saying he never sold fentanyl at all. He now claims it was OxyContin, and that he was detoxing and "out of it" during his original police interview. The defense says this throws a grenade into the state's entire theory. Without Crozier confirming fentanyl, the chain connecting Kouri to the drug that killed her husband is broken. But Judge Richard Mrazik isn't buying it — he says there's still substantial evidence, and Kouri remains in jail without bail for the third time. Meanwhile, prosecutors lost their bid to introduce 26 financial fraud charges to the murder jury, their domestic violence expert was blocked entirely, and their FBI profiler can barely testify. The defense also got key statements from a 2022 search suppressed after detectives failed to read Kouri her Miranda rights. What's left? A housekeeper's testimony, a handwritten notebook prosecutors say details the night Eric died, and a letter found in Kouri's jail cell that looks a lot like witness tampering — unless you believe her claim it was fiction. After years of delays, appeals, and pretrial warfare, this case finally goes to a Summit County jury. We break down everything — the evidence that survived, the evidence that didn't, and what both sides need to prove when testimony begins.#KouriRichins #EricRichins #KouriRichinsTrial #TrueCrime #FentanylMurder #SummitCounty #UtahMurderTrial #WitnessRecants #HiddenKillers #MurderTrial2026Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Question from Anonymous Coward from CA (krista)Jeremy just said that there's no other cartridge that'll do the work of a 300 blackout sub sonic. Why isn't sub sonic 350 legend, 450 bm, 458 socom etc. more popular for subsonic work? They all have more energy at the same velocity because bigger pill Question from Alex W. from FL (krista)Dear WLS. Can y'all recommend a 9mm subgun can for around $500? Preferably outside diameter of 1.62″ or less because that gives me more options for a suppressor tuck rail. But, if I have to go up to 1.7″ that's not a deal breaker. If it matters, it would be going on a stribog sp9a1. Thanks Alex W. Question from Alex W from Florida (krista)Dear WLS. Do you guys have any experience with the newer magpul metal pistol mags? Im pretty sure they make them for the p320 but what im most interested in is I'm pretty sure I saw that they're supposed to be coming out with metal p365 mags. I want a pile of mags for my xmacro but at $50 each from sig, that gets expensive fast. A cheaper one from magpul would be awesome as long as it works well. Our guest this episode is Jeff Zeilmann, calling in from Missouri. Jeff is the founder and lead investigator of Tracking The Unknown, an independent project focused on structured documentation and analysis of unidentified aerial phenomena. Jeff approaches the subject from an evidence-driven perspective, with a clear separation between observation and interpretation. That framework was put to the test in August 2025, when, during an active investigation, he experienced an encounter with an unidentified aerial object. The event was documented at the time and was followed by acute physiological and cognitive effects that lasted several days, as well as an estimated forty-five minutes of unaccounted-for time.More information on this episode on the podcast website:https://ufochroniclespodcast.com/2026If you enjoy this podcast, please support the show with a virtual coffee:https://ko-fi.com/ufochroniclespodcastFollow and Subscribe on X to get ad-free episodesX: https://x.com/UFOchronpodcast/Want to share your encounter on the show?Email: UFOChronicles@gmail.comOr Fill out Guest Form:https://forms.gle/uGQ8PTVRkcjy4nxS7Podcast Merchandise:https://www.teepublic.com/user/ufo-chronicles-podcastHelp Support UFO CHRONICLES by becoming a Patron:https://patreon.com/UFOChroniclespodcastAll Links for Podcast:https://linktr.ee/UFOChroniclesPodcastThank you for listening!Like share and subscribe it really helps me when people share the show on social media, it means we can reach more people and more witnesses and without your amazing support, it wouldn't be possible.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/ufo-chronicles-podcast--3395068/support.

Baker YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/OvVQ01BPscE Day 9 of the Brendan Banfield trial delivers shocking testimony as the defendant, Brendan Banfield, takes the stand in his own defense. Banfield attempts to argue a "defense of others" or "heat of passion" defense, claiming he shot Joseph Ryan to protect his wife, Christine Banfield. However, his story quickly unravels under cross-examination. Banfield attempts to paint a picture of a loving marriage while simultaneously "flexing" about his numerous affairs, showing less emotion for his deceased wife than for his McDonald's app. Banfield delivers a disastrous last line in his direct examination, leaving the jury stunned. The defense rests, motions to dismiss are denied, and the case is heading to closing arguments. Watch now to hear every detail from this pivotal day in court! Former prosecutor turned defense attorney Eric Faddis delivers dual-perspective analysis on two murder cases making national headlines: Michael McKee in Ohio and Kouri Richins in Utah. The McKee case looks strong on paper. Surveillance footage allegedly places him at Monique and Spencer Tepe's property weeks before the murders. Witnesses describe death threats going back years. Stolen license plates. A phone that went dark. Vehicle tracking data. Eric breaks down which evidence is most damaging from a prosecution standpoint—then switches sides to reveal the defense's playbook: motions to exclude prior abuse allegations, hearsay fights over statements from the deceased victim, and strategies to create reasonable doubt. The Richins case is in crisis. Trial starts February 23rd, but the defense just alleged witness intimidation—claiming investigators threatened arrest and immunity revocation to force cooperation. Key fentanyl sourcing witness Robert Crozier has recanted, now saying he sold OxyContin, not the fentanyl that killed Eric Richins. Judge Mrazik has limited the FBI profiler, excluded domestic violence evidence, and only partially admitted the "Walk the Dog" letter. No fentanyl was ever recovered. No pills. No forensic link. Five times the lethal dose in the victim's system—but a supply chain theory that just collapsed.Eric Faddis knows what prosecutors are building toward and what defense attorneys are planning to tear apart. Defense attorney and former prosecutor Eric Faddis joins us live for a comprehensive analysis of two major murder cases: the Michael McKee prosecution in Ohio and the Kouri Richins trial beginning in Utah.On McKee: The affidavit is unsealed. Surveillance footage allegedly places him at the Tepe property three weeks before the murders. Witnesses describe years of death threats. His phone went dark during the killing window. His vehicle was allegedly tracked arriving before and leaving after. Eric breaks down the prosecution's strongest evidence—then reveals the defense playbook: the motions to exclude prior abuse, the hearsay fights over Monique's statements, and how to reframe damning evidence for a jury.On Richins: Trial starts February 23rd, but the prosecution is wounded. A new motion alleges investigators threatened witnesses with arrest and immunity revocation if they didn't cooperate. Key witness Robert Crozier has recanted, now saying he sold OxyContin, not fentanyl. The FBI profiler is limited. Domestic violence evidence is excluded. The "Walk the Dog" letter is only partially in.No fentanyl recovered. No pills. The afternoon session of the Brendan Banfield trial brought intense cross-examination, forensic testimony, and surprise rebuttal witnesses.Prosecutors pressed Banfield on delayed statements to police, multiple affairs, emotional letters to Juliana, and disputed timelines surrounding the morning of the attack.Detailed questioning focused on his actions after returning home, failure to immediately call 911, firearm use, and inconsistencies between his account and medical examiner findings. Expert witnesses analyzed audio from the 911 call, debating whether sounds captured were human or canine. In rebuttal, an IRS supervisor unexpectedly testified that no meeting had been scheduled the morning Banfield claimed to leave early — severely undermining his alibi. The episode closes with discussion of upcoming jury instructions, anticipated closing arguments, and what could be a quick verdict in this high-profile case.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/pretty-lies-and-alibis--4447192/support.ALL MERCH 10% off with code Sherlock10 at checkout - NEW STYLES Donate: (Thank you for your support! Kouri Richins goes to trial in two weeks on aggravated murder charges for allegedly poisoning her husband Eric Richins with fentanyl. But the prosecution's case is taking serious damage heading into opening statements.Defense attorney and former prosecutor Eric Faddis breaks down the chaos on True Crime Today. The defense just filed a motion alleging witness intimidation. Detective Jeff O'Driscoll allegedly threatened a witness with arrest and "a catch pole for the dog" if they didn't cooperate with prep calls. Investigator Travis Hopper allegedly told another witness their immunity could be revoked if they declined additional meetings. Is this witness intimidation—or standard prosecution tactics? The bigger problem: Robert Crozier has recanted. He was the state's key fentanyl sourcing witness—the link between the street supply and the housekeeper who allegedly gave drugs to Kouri. Now Crozier says he sold OxyContin, not fentanyl, and that he was detoxing and confused during his original interview. The defense says this "eviscerates" the prosecution's theory.Eric analyzes whether the state can pivot—and whether pivoting mid-trial destroys credibility with the jury.Judge Mrazik's pretrial rulings add complexity: the FBI profiler is limited in what she can say, domestic violence evidence is excluded, and the "Walk the Dog" letter is only partially admitted. That letter, allegedly found in Kouri's jail cell, appears to instruct her mother how to testify. No fentanyl was recovered. No pills. No murder weapon. Five times the lethal dose in Eric's system—but a broken supply chain. The Kouri Richins murder trial begins February 23rd. But two weeks out, the prosecution's case is taking hits from multiple directions. The defense just filed a motion alleging witness intimidation. Lead detective Jeff O'Driscoll allegedly texted a witness saying essentially: answer our calls so we can prep you, or next time I knock on your door, I'll have a warrant and a catch pole for your dog. Investigator Travis Hopper allegedly told another witness that their previously granted immunity "remains conditional upon continued cooperation"—and declining further meetings could put that immunity at risk.Defense attorney and former prosecutor Eric Faddis analyzes whether these allegations constitute actual witness intimidation under Utah law or aggressive but legal tactics. Then there's Robert Crozier. He was the state's key fentanyl sourcing witness. He originally said he sold fentanyl to the housekeeper allegedly in the supply chain. Now he says it was OxyContin, not fentanyl—and that he was detoxing and "out of it" during the original interview. The defense says this "eviscerates" the prosecution's theory. Eric breaks down whether the state can recover. We examine Judge Mrazik's pretrial rulings: limiting the FBI profiler, excluding domestic violence evidence, and partially admitting the "Walk the Dog" letter allegedly instructing Kouri's mother how to lie on the stand. No fentanyl was ever recovered. Hidden Killers With Tony Brueski | True Crime News & Commentary
The Kouri Richins murder case just took a sharp turn nobody saw coming — and it's not about the defendant. It's about how the prosecution has allegedly been treating its own witnesses.Defense attorneys filed a motion this week revealing text messages they say show lead detective Jeff O'Driscoll threatening a reluctant witness with arrest, jail, and a "catch pole for the dog" if she didn't comply with witness prep. A second witness with immunity was allegedly told by investigator Travis Hopper that their deal was conditional on continued cooperation — cooperation they say they already provided two years ago. This is the same Detective O'Driscoll whose credibility was challenged in January suppression hearings after the defense claimed he testified falsely about knowing Richins had an attorney. An outside investigation found no evidence of untruthfulness, but the questions remain.Meanwhile, the prosecution's key drug source — Robert Crozier — has recanted his statement that he sold fentanyl to Richins' housekeeper. He now claims it was OxyContin. Prosecutors argue the recantation doesn't hold up. The defense says it "throws a grenade" into the state's case.Kouri Richins has pleaded not guilty and maintained her innocence since her May 2023 arrest. She's accused of fatally poisoning her husband Eric Richins with fentanyl in March 2022. Trial begins February 23rd.When state witnesses start asking the defense for help, something has gone sideways.#KouriRichins #HiddenKillers #WitnessIntimidation #EricRichins #UtahMurder #TrueCrimePodcast #FentanylMurder #DetectiveODriscoll #CriminalJustice #MurderTrialJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? The affidavit is unsealed. The charges are filed. Michael McKee faces two counts of aggravated murder for the deaths of Monique Tepe and Spencer Tepe. Now we're breaking down what prosecutors actually have—and whether it's enough to convict.Defense attorney and former prosecutor Eric Faddis joins us live to analyze the prosecution's case against McKee. Surveillance footage allegedly showing him at the victims' property three weeks before the murders. Witness statements about death threats going back years. Stolen license plates. A phone that went dark during the killing window. Vehicle tracking data placing his SUV in Columbus before and after.Eric walks us through which piece of evidence is most critical, how prosecutors might get hearsay statements from the deceased victim in front of a jury, and whether allegations of prior abuse that were never criminally charged can be used to establish motive and pattern. We'll examine the firearm specifications—prosecutors charged in the alternative that either an automatic weapon or a silencer was used. What does that tell us about how they believe this crime was committed? And what does it mean for potential sentencing? This case is built entirely on circumstantial evidence. Trial starts February 23rd. Kouri Richins faces aggravated murder charges in the fentanyl poisoning death of her husband Eric Richins. And with two weeks to go, the case is in chaos.Defense attorney and former prosecutor Eric Faddis joins us live to break down the last-minute developments rocking this prosecution. A new motion alleges witness intimidation—the lead detective allegedly threatened a witness with a warrant and "a catch pole for the dog" if they didn't answer prep calls. Another investigator allegedly told a witness their immunity could be revoked if they stopped cooperating. Is this witness intimidation? Or hardball tactics that happen in every major case? Eric provides the legal analysis. Then there's the Crozier recantation. Robert Crozier was supposed to be the link in the fentanyl supply chain. He originally said he sold fentanyl to the housekeeper who allegedly gave it to Kouri. Now he says it was OxyContin—and he was detoxing during the original interview. Can the prosecution's sourcing theory survive this blow? We'll examine Judge Mrazik's key rulings: limiting what the FBI profiler can say, excluding domestic violence evidence, and partially admitting the "Walk the Dog" letter allegedly instructing witness tampering. No fentanyl was ever found. No pills. No forensic link. The toxicology shows five times the lethal dose—but how do you prove murder when your supply chain is broken?Join us live with your questions as we preview one of the most closely watched trials of 2025.#KouriRichins #EricRichins #LiveTrueCrime #WitnessIntimidation #UtahMurderTrial #FentanylPoisoning #HiddenKillersLive #WalkTheDogLetter #TrialPreview #WitnessRecantsJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? We can learn a lot about the nature of God from his Divine Name revealed in Scripture. When God said to Moses, “I am who I am,” this was a revelation of a name as well as a refusal of a name. Fr. Mike explains how this mystery reveals truths about God: he is infinitely above all things; we cannot comprehend him, yet he draws close to us. This Divine Name expresses the steadfast, faithful, unchanging love of God for his people, even when we betray and abandon him. Today's readings are Catechism paragraphs 205-211. Witness the sobering consequences of deceit in the church as Ananias and Sapphira’s attempt to gain glory for themselves leads to a powerful display of God’s justice. In this episode of The Jesus Podcast, Ananias and Sapphira conspire to deceive the apostles by withholding part of their offering while seeking public recognition for their gift. When confronted by Peter, their dishonesty brings swift judgment from God, reminding the early church of the seriousness of integrity and generosity in their fellowship.Today's Bible verse is Matthew 6:4, from the King James Version.Download the Pray.com app for more Christian content including, Daily Prayers, Inspirational Testimonies, and Bedtime Bible Stories.Pray.com is the digital destination for faith. Jesus Follower's Greatest Witness for the Gospel of Jesus, in a Hurting World, is for Others to See Jesus in Them MESSAGE SUMMARY: You need to live the Christian life in whatever you do – at home; in your job; in the way that you drive; and in the way that you treat your friends. We live in a hurting world, but God wants more for you. To achieve God's desire for your life, you must stay in fellowship and communion with God; and you must let Him work in your life. In Colossians 3:17, Paul challenges us: “And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”. If you live your life, in all places and situations, in the name of Jesus, you will live a better life in our hurting world. As Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 10:31: “So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.". Remember, the greatest witness for the Gospel, as a follower of Jesus, that you can give is for others to see Jesus in you. TODAY'S PRAYER: Father, I confess that when difficulties and trials come into my life, large or small, I mostly grumble and complain. I realize the trials James talks about are not necessarily “walls,” but they are difficult to bear, nonetheless. Fill me with such a vision of a transformed life, O God, that I might actually consider it “pure joy” when you bring trials my way. I believe, Lord. Help my unbelief. In Jesus' name, amen. Scazzero, Peter. Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Day by Day (p. 94). Zondervan. Kindle Edition. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, Because of who I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be driven by Past Failures. Rather, I will abide in the Lord's Grace. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5). In this episode of Murder in the Black, we unpack the heartbreaking story of Kim Groves—a Black woman, community advocate, and mother whose decision to report police misconduct in 1994 set off a chain of events that would change everything. What began as one woman speaking up against abuse of power quickly revealed something much bigger: a deeply corrupted system inside the New Orleans Police Department, and a city already battling violence, fear, and broken trust.Kim's story forces us to confront the cost of courage, the danger Black communities face when they challenge authority, and the uncomfortable truth that corruption doesn't always look like a stranger—it can wear a badge. The violent reality of New Orleans in the 1990s and the systemic failures that shaped itCorruption inside the NOPD, including the actions of Officer Len DavisKim Groves' courage—and what happens when a Black woman refuses to stay silentThe long history of mistrust between Black communities and law enforcement in AmericaHow race, power, and internal systems of oppression complicate “protection” and “justice”The investigation, cooperation deals, and what accountability looks like in a corrupt systemWhy police reform is still an urgent conversation—and why stories like Kim's must be rememberedTimestamps00:00 — Introduction + case overview00:35 — New Orleans in the 1990s: context + tension01:02 — Crime statistics + community impact02:24 — Len Davis + Kim Groves background03:42 — Misconduct culture inside the NOPD05:59 — Operation Shattered Shield begins08:11 — Kim files a misconduct complaint09:33 — The danger of speaking out11:05 — The legacy of racial oppression + policing13:09 — Kim Groves' murder + surveillance footage14:57 — Trial tactics: discrediting the victim16:37 — Witness testimony + plea deals20:03 — Victim-blaming + “perfect victim” expectations21:41 — Sentencing + why plea agreements matter24:50 — Len Davis' death + the lasting damage25:45 — Corruption and community trauma27:08 — Remembering Kim's humanity28:20 — Corruption involving Black officers30:05 — Accountability: personal + systemic31:26 — Closing reflection: race, policing, reformResources & LinksFBI: Operation Shattered ShieldKim Groves case coverage + justice reportingFollow + Support Murder in the Black

According to our favorite literary reviewer, Bethanne Patrick, these are the seven books that “will really matter” in 2026:* Land by Maggie O'Farrell — The Hamnet author returns with a luminous novel set in 1865 Ireland, two decades after the Great Famine. A father and son survey their region for the British—mapping the land in English when their hearts speak Gaelic. O'Farrell explores post-famine trauma, colonialism, and the mysterious pull of place, weaving in neolithic history and Irish wolfhounds that feel almost magical. As some characters emigrate to the New World, the novel asks what it means when land becomes identity, when a nation is defined not by commerce but by the places that feed our souls.* The Fire Agent by David Baerwald — A stunning debut from the Grammy-winning songwriter behind Sheryl Crow's Tuesday Night Music Club. This 600-page thriller is based on Baerwald's own family history: his grandfather Ernst was sent to Tokyo as the purported sales director for IG Farben, the company complicit in the Holocaust. The novel spans continents and decades, from a 1920s throuple to Wild Bill Donovan's OSS becoming the CIA, complete with family photographs. Patrick calls it “a knockout”—not a potboiler, but a wild, scary ride where almost everything actually happened.* A Tender Age by Chang-rae Lee — The Pulitzer finalist delivers what his publisher calls “a spellbinding exploration of American masculinity and family dynamics.” Through an unforgettable Asian-American protagonist, Lee examines what it means to grow up with “double consciousness”—always aware of how the dominant culture perceives you, your family, your chances. Patrick places him alongside Jesmyn Ward as one of America's finest novelists.* Witness and Respair by Jesmyn Ward — The two-time National Book Award winner collects her nonfiction, including the devastating Vanity Fair essay about her husband's death from COVID at 33. “Respair” is Ward's resurrection of an archaic word: the repair that comes after despair. These crystalline essays on the American South, racism, and grief reveal the deep thought behind her remarkable fiction. Patrick sees it as essential reading for 2026—a creative grappling with everything America must face.* Backtalker by Kimberlé Crenshaw — A memoir from the architect of “intersectionality” and “critical race theory,” now under attack in the current administration. Structured in three parts—raising a back talker, becoming a back talker, being a back talker—it begins with young Kimberlé desperate to play Thornrose in a classroom fairy tale, passed over week after week. When she's finally chosen on the last day and the bell rings, her mother marches back to school and demands justice. That's where Crenshaw learned to speak truth to power.* American Struggle edited by Jon Meacham — For the 250th anniversary, the historian assembles primary documents proving that struggle is constant and non-linear in American history. Abolitionists spoke out in the nineteenth century; civil rights activists had to speak out again in the twentieth. From Abigail Adams's “remember the ladies” letter to Fannie Lou Hamer's testimony at the 1964 Democratic Convention, Meacham—no fan of the current administration—shows that the fight never stays won. Patrick sees it as essential for librarians, teachers, and younger readers.* John of John by Douglas Stuart — Patrick's sneaky seventh pick (I originally only allowed her six). The Booker Prize-winning author of Shuggie Bain returns to Scotland, this time the Isle of Harris, where men weave Harris Tweed on licensed looms. John McLeod is a fire-and-brimstone church elder; his son Cal returns from Glasgow art college with dyed hair and queer identity. What looks like prodigal son territory becomes something richer—father and son have more in common than either knows. Stuart captures a community tied to sheep farming and craft practices that feel centuries old, even as modernity crashes against the shore.Enjoy!Keen On America is a reader-supported publication. In this episode, we discuss the nature of God, “who” God is, beginning with God the Father. Our reading explains how the Creed begins with God the Father because he is the first Divine Person of the most Holy Trinity. God is one Divine Being made up of three persons, and his identity is a deep mystery. Fr. Mike explains that God is a single ‘what' made up of three ‘who's.' Despite this mystery, God is not an anonymous force. He has revealed himself to us by making his name known to us, and he has thus made himself accessible. Today's readings are Catechism paragraphs 198-204. The country is on edge after another protester was killed by ICE officers in Minneapolis. Phil, Kaitlyn, and Skye look at how different Christian journalists and media outlets are covering, or not covering, the story, and what protests against ICE share in common with the Civil Rights movement, and how they're different. Speaking of the Civil Rights era, Justin Giboney is back to discuss his new book, "Don't Let Nobody Turn You Around." He believes too much of the American church and our politics has been captivated by the culture war, and learning from the example of the Black church, which rejected the "conservative vs. progressive" binary, can help lead us out. It's Witness Wednesday! Questions of deep theology and practical application are addressed in a must-hear question and answer segment during Todd's recent trip to Oklahoma State University. If you want to see the Christian worldview brought to bear in real-time on real-world questions, you've come to the right place. Segment 1 • Bishop Tom Brown questions the trend of evangelical deconstruction, and asks if there can be a positive element to it. • Todd explains that most who deconstruct are not interested in putting the pieces back together again. • A young man in the audience asks how we can feel RIGHTLY - how we can balance our emotions without denying them totally. Segment 2 • Laney asks Todd how we can reach the portion of society that isn't interested in actually finding the truth - and may not think it exists at all. • A young man asks how husbands should rightly lead their families in the era of post-modernity and radical subjectivity that we live in. • Ben asks how to reach the agnostics in society who don't care what Christianity has to say. Segment 3 • Student Brennan asks about the weighty question of God's sovereignty and goodness when considered against the pain and suffering that is allowed in this world. • Todd goes in depth showing how the existence of evil in this world, far from disproving God, actually necessitates God's existence. • Alec asks: how can we dispel the notion in the minds of unbelievers that Christianity is just a bunch of stuff we have to do to get on the “nice list”? Segment 4 • Todd continues his answer to the last question, showing how Christianity is not burdensome but, rather, the most liberating thing for God's creatures. • Todd is asked a heavy philosophical question about the metaphysical presuppositions of the ancient world, and how Christ shows us truth in every area - even philosophy. • As helpful as apologetics can be in certain circumstances, Todd shows us the primacy of Christ and sharing the gospel in attempting to win souls - not arguments. ___ Thanks for listening! Don't forget to grab your free scripture journal at PrayingChristianWomen.com/journal today! What if the "wicked" standing trial in God’s courtroom aren't the godless, but the religious? What if the prosecution’s case is built not on your sins of ignorance, but on your acts of hypocrisy? In this devotional on Psalm 50, we enter a divine lawsuit where God acts as the Judge, Witness, then Prosecutor. We move beyond the text to uncover the Hebrew context of the "wicked"—covenant members who recite God's statutes while secretly harboring deceit. We explore why God rejects the "cattle on a thousand hills" to demand something far more costly: a "sacrifice of thanksgiving." Jaime also shares a candid personal reflection on the specific accusation of slandering "your own mother's son," connecting it to the heartbreaking political and spiritual fractures we see in the world today. She challenges us to examine our own role in that division—whether we are building unity or "letting our mouths loose in evil." Join host Jaime Hampton on the Praying Christian Women podcast for a session of tender hope. Birth is one of the most intimate, vulnerable, and powerful experiences a family will ever walk through. To invite someone into that space—especially someone holding a camera—requires trust, presence, and a deep understanding of birth itself. In this episode, we're talking about birth photography: what it really means to witness birth from behind a lens, how this work is different from any other kind of photography, and why presence matters more than the perfect shot.We explore what draws people to birth photography in the first place, what you learn about labor and birth when you're quietly observing it unfold, and why birth photography adds something profound for families long after the day itself has passed. We also get practical—talking equipment, settings, lighting, and the realities of photographing births in unpredictable, low-light environments. For photographers who already know their way around a camera, we share lessons learned over years of being in real birth rooms, not styled sessions. We talk about what qualifications birth photographers need that other professional photographers don't—why understanding birth, consent, and emotional safety is just as important as technical skill. We spend time on what it actually looks like to be in the birth room: how to be present without hovering, how to observe without making a birthing woman feel observed, and how to move in a way that supports the energy of the space rather than disrupting it.We also tackle the ethics of birth photography—who owns birth photos, how sharing should be handled, and how to have clear, respectful conversations with families about consent, boundaries, and image use. This episode is for photographers, birth workers, and anyone who feels drawn to the quiet, sacred work of witnessing birth well.Shownotes:Birth Becomes You photography courses - Comprehensive Birth Photography and Business Courses — Birth Becomes YouBasic needs of a woman in labor book (The Basic Needs of a Woman in Labour ) and podcast (The Basic Needs of a Woman in Labour Connect:Email us to say hi: holywildbirth@gmail.comPut in a request for future topics and/or submit a question for future Q&A episodes: Fill out the formApply to tell your birth story on the podcast: Holy Wild Birth Podcast : Guest ApplicationHang out with us and other Holy Wild Women in our private community (off Facebook): Rooted in Eden PMABecome a holy, wild birthkeeper with us inside Hearthmother JourneyFrom Lauren:InstagramMidwifery consults: Email rootedinedenpma@gmail.comFrom Brooke:InstagramTrust God, Trust Birth Workshop - a 5-part high-level roadmap to a confident home birth (pay what you can)Faith-Filled Home Birth Workshop - a free, 3-part video series delivered to your inboxEmbrace Birth Journey - comprehensive and holistic faith-based home birth preparation (courses + private community)Intro and Outra Music Credit -Betty Dear By Blue Dot Sessions is licensed under a Creative Commons License.

In a world that never stops shouting, we're challenged to examine whether we're being informed or inflamed by the constant noise around us. In this message from Wednesday, January 28th 2026 Pastor Matt Cottrill draws from Romans 12:2, where we're reminded that awareness and conformity are vastly different—we can observe the world without absorbing its spirit. The powerful imagery of thermostats versus thermometers reveals our true calling: we're not meant to merely reflect the temperature of our culture's outrage and fear, but to set the spiritual temperature of every room we enter. The sobering truth emerges that what we consume repeatedly becomes what we believe, and when we allow news cycles to disciple us more than God's Word, fear replaces faith and outrage replaces intercession. Through scriptures like James 1:19-20 and Proverbs 15:1, we're confronted with the reality that our public expressions—especially on social media—can either draw searching souls toward Christ or become stumbling blocks that quietly close hearts. The message isn't about ignoring current events, but about filtering everything through the lens of one eternal question: Will this help someone find Jesus? When we choose grace alongside truth, kindness over sarcasm, and love over being right, we become the light that doesn't argue with darkness but simply transforms it by existing.

The Catechism we are reading follows the structure of the Apostles' Creed with frequent references to the Nicene Creed for further details and explanations. Together, these Creeds aid us in articulating the beliefs we share with all members of the Catholic Church. Fr. Mike discusses why St. Ambrose refers to the Creed as “an ever-present guardian” and “treasure of our soul.” He encourages us not to take this gift for granted. Today's readings are Catechism paragraphs 193-197. How powerful are your words—really? In this episode, we open James 1:26 and James 3 to expose the “respectable sins” of the tongue: gossip, slander, lying, crude talk, and careless words. Scripture is clear: the tongue reveals the heart, and unchecked speech can lead to self-deception and spiritual harm. This episode is sponsored by The Master's University. Today we further realize the sense of the word “credo,” meaning “I believe.” As we read the Apostles' Creed and the Nicene Creed, we discover the differences between the two and come to understand how the Nicene Creed, which came centuries later, expands upon and explains the beliefs of the Apostles' Creed. Fr. Mike tells us that these Creeds help us to share the essential elements of Catholicism, acting as “symbols of faith,” and encouraging communion between believers. Today's readings are Catechism paragraphs 185-192. Hidden Killers With Tony Brueski | True Crime News & Commentary
They found him at his mother's house in Helena, Montana. Neo Langston — Twitch streamer, content creator, and close friend of D4VD — was arrested Thursday on a felony warrant for failing to appear as a witness. By Friday night, he was booked into LAPD's Metropolitan Detention Center on $60,000 bail. The unit that tracked him down? LAPD Robbery-Homicide — the same division investigating the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez. The 15-year-old's remains were discovered in D4VD's Tesla last September, dismembered and decomposing, one day after what would have been her birthday.Neo isn't the only witness giving prosecutors problems. A female witness went into hiding in December and had to be threatened with arrest. D4VD's manager testified that his priority was the tour — not calling police. And D4VD himself hasn't said a word since the body was identified.Investigators have reportedly identified a second suspect involved "before, during, and after" Celeste's death. Tesla data allegedly shows two people present during a late-night trip to remote Santa Barbara County last spring. The question now: Is Neo that second suspect, or just a witness who knows too much?D4VD has not been charged. Neo faces only failure to appear charges. All individuals are presumed innocent. But the pattern is clear — everyone around David Anthony Burke is either silent, running, or being dragged into court.#HiddenKillers #D4VD #NeoLangston #CelesteRivas #TrueCrime #GrandJury #LAPD #CelesteRivasHernandez #NeoTheAsian #JusticeForCelesteJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video?
