*opens the door to the AARR podcast* Man, this place is super dusty.  Where are the light switches? Yep, it's been 10 long months since we put anything up on the podcast.  I guess when it came to overproducing episodes and having 6-8 recordings in the hopper, all enthusiasm for getting it done went out the window… that and getting the house in order. This time around, we're doing weekly recordings where we give updates on what's going on with the both of us and doing our gaming recordings on YouTube as streams.  It's just much easier to document what Tyler and Alden are doing rather than trying to insert a new sound effect every 15-30 seconds.  It was fun to do, but spending 30-40 hours on each episode was a bit too much. Greetings from the hot state of Texas! This release will be a short, review only episode, with the bigger one coming later in August.  This one didn't require thirty thousand years of production, though my microphone cut out right when we started recording.  As such, you'll see me boosting the audio in post-production and hear me hitting our stupid Yamaha sound board with a pool noodle just to get it working properly. In the meantime, we go through reviews… kind of.  At the time of the recording, iTunes was doing its usual glitch-fest and decided to randomize all of the reviews we've ever gotten, all the way back to 2019!  We went with it and reflected on our time during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as a few reviews we had never seen before.  Hopefully if we do this again, we won't run into this sort of nonsense. So, a brief upload before starting production on a rather involved 2 hour gaming session with Alden and his friend Wish (previously Romo).  Looking forward to swimming through that soup of ‘what are they talking about?' kind of thing. Alden's Amazing Roblox Review

Well hello there! We've successfully figured out a way to release an episode shorter than six months. In involves recording the entire thing and then doing 40-60 seconds to edit it every day. The end result is an episode so overproduced and filled with sound effects that I could probably post 20+ clips on social media. Hell, I don't even remember what the beginning of the episode even sounds like at this point. But rest assured, you're going to get plenty of Item Asylum play-by-play in this episode. Whether it's Jester rambling about everything and anything to Romo speaking thirty feet away from the microphone, we have you covered. Oh, and YouSawNothing and Tyson join with two dollar microphones crammed into their armpits as they shout over everyone during some pretty active game play. One last thing... the sound effects you're going to hear in this episode are taken from a wide variety of games. The audio clips are also from a wide variety of movies and TV shows. As a result, I've probably put this podcast in jeopardy with the sheer amount of copyright violations I may have committed (I really don't know). But I'm sure Jester yelling 'COPYRIGHT' over and over again has cleared me of any wrong doing. By the way, if you've been listening to this podcast for the 3+ years we've been publishing our stuff and you still haven't joined our Discord, you're doing yourself a disservice. Well, well well... it only took six months to get this episode done! At this rate, we should hit 100 episodes by the time Alden is 24 years old. That or I can make a million dollars and start doing this full time. Or get an entire production team to make it happen. Maybe both? Anyway... in this episode, we get into Silent Library, STARR tests that are currently happening for reading, math and science (which Alden is rather stressed about), essays about trampoline safety and substitute teachers, teaching Alden to pursue his interests and the end of Battle Cats (yep, Alden's done with it). Then, we meet up with Romo and play a few rounds of Flee the Facility! Apparently, I can't find a computer to hack to save my life (literally). We're still active on Discord whenever Alden isn't completely immersed on his Switch with the newest Mario Rabbids. To say that he has been around a long while would be an understatement, and this isn't said in reflection of his age, more the years that he has spent creating and sharing nutrition content, in both the gym/fitness space and also in the academic space. In this interview, Mikki and Alan discuss his background in training and nutrition, before moving on to his book ‘flexible dieting' which is written for anyone wanting to optimise their body composition. They talk about a range of different concepts around weight loss, including his method of figuring out energy requirements for fat loss, what his protein recommendations are, how to track calories in a way that doesn't drive someone insane, how to calorie cycle appropriately and what ‘safe' weight loss is. Well it's been a LONG time hasn't it? :D The explanation is simple. Alden was simply enjoying his summer break and I was busy making sure he was enjoying summer break. We did actually record two other episodes but I haven't had any time to produce them (see the above about being with Alden on summer break). So, there are more coming. But for now, know that we're back and we'll be releasing more episodes in the near future. And I know we haven't been hanging out in the Discord as much, but apparently the time zones for Australia and Dallas are not compatible with one another. That and we only seem to be able to come on at 8:00 pm at night to game for 30 minutes. But hey, at least we message back. Speaking of which, why not pop by our Discord for five minutes and never come back to it again? It's fun!

It's coming out today, and future episodes will be only featuring some aspect of what we do (reviews, daily updates, game reviews, etc.). I won't try to lump them into the same episode anymore, since this one took me NINE CUMULATIVE DAYS to edit and a whole month to find time to work on it. I think I'm done with mega-episodes like this.

He's been exploring some new games (Tower Blitz being one of them) and waiting for me to wrap up my biz before starting another episode up. In the meantime, here's an episode from a few weeks ago when Alden's friend Srihan came over to spend the day at our house. We start off with a Q&A session where I asked both of them various questions about random stuff (ex: who would win between the Hindu Gods vs Greek Gods, top 5 toys you could get for free, who would you like to punch in the face without repercussions, etc.). It was a lot of fun to listen to.

Thanks for listening to another episode of the Women's Maximum Fitness Podcast! In this episode #78 I chat with the intensely charming Jeana Aragon! Jeana is a fitness guru (49 years young), mother of two wonderful teenage boys, and wife of 22 years to Alan Aragon, scientist/nutritionist and author of the research review site AARR.   I'm so thankful for this interview! Through a variety of practical application suggestions, over and over Jeana answers the ever popular question: How do I live a healthy lifestyle and love it? She shares her relatable fitness beginnings of constant discomfort with efforts to be skinny through starvation and excess cardio which resulted in binges, “failure”, shame, then repeat. Through the grace of God a healthy food relationship was birthed upon finding her now husband  Alan, and the lifestyle he was educated on became their life together brick by brick. Jeana is a die-hard foodie, so of course we talk about how she incorporates healthy foods into family meals. Jeana is an amazing cook and lays out the basics to preparing nutrient dense meals for her family from grocery to table. We also cover the importance of weight bearing exercise, how they kept it going throughout the pandemic as a family, and about the break from exercise Jeana took to raise her 2 boys. We talk about mom “bounce back” pressure now days and encourage women to be strong and not put that pressure in themselves. We discuss child-reading such as: reading with kids, pushing them into sports, and encouraging other extra curricular like art and music. This is a very complete episode from the perspective of a woman successfully balancing family, and health. I hope you give Jeana a follow. I promise you will be positively inspired daily. Follow:@jeana.aragon @thealanaragonSign up for my weekly newsletter premiering late fall 2021: http://eepurl.com/b6uPd5Check out my Amazon link to shop what I shop: https://www.amazon.com/shop/buffcake22Email Debra: buffcake22@gmail.com Find all these links and more at Debra's linktree: https://linktr.ee/Buffcake22Subscribe to the Women's Maximum Fitness podcast as new episodes drop every Monday and throughout the week. I recently had the opportunity to consult with a client during a strategic day to really “dig-in” and make suggestions into how they could optimize their business and really grow their revenue. We look at all their processes, especially their business development process and client profitability. They found the process to be so valuable, I wanted to share some of the most important ‘KPI's” Key Performance Indicators that, once you determine what your are, will give you a whole level of new insight into your business. I have found over 40 KPI's for a practice. For the sake of time I want to discuss some of the highlighted ones. These are in no particular order: How many clients do you have? How are they segmented? What is the standard of care for each segment? What is the average annual recurring revenue (AARR) per each segment? What is the average length in years of your average client engagement per segment? What is the lifetime value of the average client per segment? What is your average cost to serve the average client per segment? What does it cost you to acquire a client? What does it cost you to onboard a new client? These are just a few KPI's that all advisors need to know. Remember, you are a business owner. I am hosting a webcast on Wednesday May 10th at 11:30am EST.
