The Three Types of Freedom | How To Get Anything you Want and Become Financially Free

The Money Podcast

Play Episode Listen Later Jan 14, 2025 7:21

Rob reveals the three types of freedom in this episode and focuses on arguably the most important freedom of all: financial freedom. He explains why this is the freedom you need to be truly free and shares the six ways to get anything you want! KEY TAKEAWAYS Physical Freedom: The freedom most people say they desire, to be able to go anywhere at anytime. Emotional Freedom: The freedom to think, speak and choose. Financial Freedom: You cannot be free in any other way until you have financial freedom. Find someone who has what you want or has done what you want to achieve and learn how they did it. Ask someone what is most important to them in their life, this reveals their values to you. People will judge you regardless of what you do, wouldn’t you rather be rich and judged for that, than be poor and struggling? Everyone has the opportunity to do what the rich have done, to learn what they did and do it too. The system isn’t rigged for them, they rig the system for them. Money isn’t everything but everything is better with money. You can make some money making money but you only become very rich by saving tax. The richer you get, the more people will hate you and use your money. Working hard is not enough to get rich, you have to work smart. BEST MOMENTS "How can you have physical freedom when you can’t afford it?" “Anything you really want, you will get” “The system isn’t rigged for the rich, the rich rig the system for them” “Learn the rules, break the rules and then make the rules” VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter https://robmoore.com/podbooks rob.team ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. Rob also gives tips on how to create value in your properties and why converting commercial properties can be great investment opportunities. KEY TAKEAWAYS  Converting commercial properties into residential gives a lot of opportunity to add value. Rob rents some of his units to his staff which is a good thing to be able to offer people who work for you. When you convert commercial buildings you can make them multi-use, in some of Rob's units he has apartments he rents as well as commercial retail units he lets out. Rob and his partner buy and hold. Get Comfortable with the Uncomfortable

Let's Talk Dog Business

In this episode, Jo & Vicky discuss how to feel comfortable in the uncomfortable. Those entrepreneurs who are ready to innovate to meet the changing needs of dog owners and to take advantage of new ways of doing things always do well. Their skill set grows, people start to talk about their business and because they are always moving with the times, they meet the needs of dog owners as their needs and how they live change. But innovating does require you to step outside of your comfort zone. Jo & Vicky share examples of how they have done this and how you can do the same. KEY TAKEAWAYS We all want security, as a result, we all tend not to change willingly. But this is not always good for our businesses. The way people live and how they think about their dogs is always evolving, which means what you offer and how you communicate needs to evolve too. When you offer something a bit different it gets people talking and attracts people who have tried dog training in the past without experiencing complete success. Don't do things differently just for the sake of it, do it to meet a genuine need. Regularly pause and ask you what is and is not working. If your clients are not getting the right result or you are not making a decent profit from one of your services, it is time to make changes. Test your changes out with small groups and tweak things before you fully launch your new service. When you get used to pushing yourself a bit, you end up learning a lot about yourself. BEST MOMENTS ‘How many times have you changed something in your business ´ ‘Then pretty much 80% of that group enrolled with me on 12-month one-to-one coaching.' ‘Just test it.' ‘If you don't feel passionate about everything you do, then something will need to change.' Leadership is fundamentally about connecting with and mobilizing people to confront and deal with problems and opportunities. Remember, if you are part of the problem, you can be a part of the solution. People fall into bad habits and end up regularly sabotaging themselves and their projects. Chris explains how to recognise and deal with this. Fear is usually what is behind bad outcomes. Analysing the language you use will tell you why you are struggling to progress. Most people hold back too much. Learn to share important information that others may not particularly want to hear in a palatable way that does not isolate others. Chris explains how in the episode. Companies want people to speak up, be honest and stop working in silos or tribes. BEST MOMENTS ‘How you lead in any kind of scenario in life is going to be heavily influenced by psychology.' ‘People are wired to avoid discomfort or exert control or a passive-aggressive combination of the two.' ‘Candour is an essential feature of leadership.' ABOUT THE SHOW People with purpose make a difference. Imagine a world where more people can just get their purpose out of them, into a plan and then actually make it happen. What a world that would be - People everywhere finding meaning and harnessing that to bring inspiration and energy to each and every day, changing lives for the better. But no one ever achieved anything on their own - we all have something unique to bring and that means we all have to play our part - if we want to go far, we have to go together and lead or serve towards a vision of the world we want to see. He explains why niching down is essential and shares a step-by-step method you can use to zero in on who your best customers are and work out the best way to reach them. KEY TAKEAWAYS Test Tube Marketing specialises in helping business owners to monetize their existing audience better. Simply tweaking your language, messaging, copy and sales funnel can boost your turnover by thousands. Don´t try to get it perfect, launch it, evaluate it, then tweak it until you get it right. You need to narrow your focus to broaden your appeal. If you try to be all things to all people you will end up appealing to fewer people. Adapt the language you use to suit the exact person to whom you are speaking. If your message is strong it will work across all platforms. Email marketing is key to success. Build long-term relationships with your clients.  Define what your market is, determine what outcome you want and the position you need to take to get it. Always, always measure. If you don´t, you'll never work out what marketing works best for your audience. In today's episode of the Tranquil Awakenings Podcast, Debbie will be in conversation with John Armitage, a therapeutic practitioner that is qualified in a number of therapies including Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Craniosacral Therapy. During this conversation Debbie and John will explore the stress response and how feeling stressed and overwhelmed provide us with a message about what is not working in our lives. They will also explore how they learn, and discuss how the ways we attribute meaning to our experiences can impact how we feel about them. KEY TAKEAWAYSImmersing yourself in an experience using all of your senses can be a really powerful way to learn a new skill. We can gain feedback from the world around us through using all of our senses. We need to adapt our way of communicating depending on who we are communicating with to ensure that they understand the information we are conveying. Our beliefs impact the way we learn and interact with others.A variety of experiences can be therapeutic.Stress can be an expression of what isn't working for us. BEST MOMENTS“How do you acquire a new skill, a new therapeutic approach? I'd be fascinated to know, maybe you've thought about this, maybe you have broken it down for yourself.”“So, as you say, you know, you'll see things, you'll hear things, you'll smell things, you'll feel things. There's a relational aspect to that. So, you're kind of recognizing that all of that's going on and it's going to happen anyway. You don't necessarily need to intellectualize about it or theorize about it.”“It's the age-old thing for me of that balance between theory and practice.”“But there are all sorts of things in life where actually it then starts to become a little bit more difficult to draw those distinctions and one of them might be you know, what's therapy and what's not therapy?”“And very often I'll find myself saying, if we're getting into weird territory, that's usually a really good sign. The weirder it is, probably, you know, the more interesting the territory that we're getting into.”“I'm curious about how we bridge those expectation gaps. Because, you know, if we can, there's a way that I think we can reduce the amount of time sometimes we spend helping individuals to acclimatise to ways of looking after themselves or ways of going through a process of change.” "Being open to recognizing that sometimes how we think about something is 99 percent of how something is." HOST BIODebbie is a seasoned therapist whose journey from being a primary school teacher to an adept therapist has been fuelled by her fascination with the intricacies of human nature. Neil shares personal anecdotes and insights on how hosts can address these concerns to make guests feel more confident when booking. He emphasizes the importance of accurately portraying the property, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring guest safety.  KEY TAKEAWAYS Guests worry if the listing will be as described on the website, emphasizing the importance of accurate representation. "I remember going to a listing that offered a spacious living room only to find on arrival that the room was very much the private space of the owner and his partner. I was not welcome there." On this episode of the World Game-Changers podcast, Paul is joined by Klementina Karol to talk about something that's very close to their hearts: How love changes everything.  KEY TAKEAWAYS I was working to create my dream job and I realised that something was missing. I connected the dots between the unsustainability that we're currently seeing around the planet and traumas, fears, and beliefs and how we're still very much influenced by our collective heritage from the past – we're still in survival mode even though our technology has advanced. Each of us is a node in this collective symphony that we're creating and each of us has a frequency that has thoughts, a vibration, actions we're taking that influences everything. Each of us is so important. Imagine the vibration of love and how beautiful that feels. Love is one of the highest vibrations we can tap into, and when we're in that vibration everyone around us can feel it and can also be intoxicated by it. What I love about love is that we can still be loved and wonder if we feel it at a deeper essence, that this person's soul gets it. Often times they actually do. But I've definitely tried to steer away from trying to explain myself and my journey too much to people who don't really understand it. BEST MOMENTS ‘How can we transform the inner dimension so we can create a more beautiful life on the outside and really influence the collective'. ‘If there's trust we can more easily open up to the flow and open up our hearts and continue creating.'‘There's so much power in silence, I love silence so much which I discovered when I lived in Bali'. ‘One of my biggest fears in the past was that I'll never get to experience real love. I didn't know how it felt until a few years ago, my heart wasn't open'. Join Lee as he explores the concept of "Measure Mountain" and the importance of recognising and enabling effective teams within an organisation. Lee talks about the need to not only focus on the team delivering the 'valuable' work but also on other teams such as the leadership team. He encourages leaders to consider the horizontal lines of communication and collaboration, in addition to the vertical hierarchy. Lee challenges listeners to think about how many teams they really need and how they can help their teams become better, ultimately driving overall success. KEY TAKEAWAYS Recognise the importance of having effective teams at different levels within your organisation. It's not just about the team delivering the value work, but also about the leadership team and other horizontal teams. Avoid the pitfall of every layer of leadership having the same conversation every day. Enable capable individuals to fix issues within their own teams, rather than escalating them to higher levels unnecessarily. Consider the right rhythm for team meetings and communication. Depending on the needs of your organisation, you may benefit from more frequent meetings, such as weekly or daily, to address challenges and enable efficiency. Connect the goals and metrics from top to bottom within your organisation. Break down long-term strategic goals into shorter-term targets that are meaningful and relevant to each level. Focus on building the capabilities of your teams. Don't solely prioritise the value-adding work, but also invest time in developing the skills and effectiveness of your teams to help everyone move forward together. BEST MOMENTS "How many team of teams? Is your organisation or your department, your function built up of many different teams?" "Those that are doing the work day in, day out, often get a lot of the focus, and the other teams get neglected." John explains how important it is to value and accept ourselves to be able to create successful relationships in our lives. How can you be sure that you have fully embraced yourself moving forward?     KEY TAKEAWAYS It is an ongoing process to reprogram and uncover false beliefs about oneself.   Self-acceptance can help with your moods and demeanour and improve your inner contentment and happiness. If you are not self-accepting, you will constantly be seeking external approval. Appreciate your appearance for what it is and do not constantly compare to others. Having boundaries in your life and being positive about your decisions is all about having trust in yourself. BEST MOMENTS‘How do I know that my relationship with myself has improved?'‘What is self-acceptance? In a nutshell, it's the process of recognising and embracing and affirming yourself including your strengths and weaknesses, and your individuality, as well as the part you play in the bigger picture of life.' ‘It can be difficult to avoid comparing yourself to others especially when scrolling through social media.'‘If you need to make a life-changing decision then that's no problem as you trust yourself.'‘With self-acceptance, you become comfortable in your own company, you don't need the company of others to feel comfortable.'  VALUABLE RESOURCESLinks: www.johnkennycoaching.com/resourcesThe Bicycle Affect: https://youtu.be/oO7XZGvdWnoRelationship Video course and 1-2-1 coaching: Relationship Ready Online Programme - John Kenny (johnkennycoaching.com)To get in touch - email – john@johnkennycoaching.com or book a complimentary call –https://calendly.com/johnkennycoaching/30minIf people want to order a copy of the book then they can just pay postage of £4.95 (RRP £8.99) - www.johnkennycoaching.com/podcast-book-offerWant to be able to address the relationship issues in your life? - Why not book in for a complimentary call and we can discuss how you can get the new started with some new types of relationships - https://calendly.com/johnkennycoaching/30minThe Relationship Guy Podcast - https://omny.fm/shows/the-relationship-guy  CONTACT METHODFacebook – https://www.facebook.com/johnkennycoachingLinkedIn – https://www.linkedin.com/in/john-kenny-coachingInsta – https://www.instagram.com/johnkennycoaching/Twitter – https://www.twitter.com/johnkennycoachYouTube - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHTj9x6Tlo7lcIJITyx-tgQClubhouse - @relationshipguy ABOUT THE HOSTI am John Kenny, Award Winning Relationship Coach.Coaching people to experience healthy loving relationships. Most people are concerned with what others think of them but in this episode, Michael tackles how you should alter your mindset to honour what you think of yourself primarily and pursue the goals that you desire and are relevant to your needs, and how this can give you an advantage in the court setting.  KEY TAKEAWAYS  It is unwise to be concerned about external things and waste time and effort trying to manipulate other people's thoughts on you.  How you feel about yourself is more important. Prioritise how you communicate with yourself in your internal chatter. It rarely makes sense to compare yourself to others as we are all unique.   BEST MOMENTS ‘How useful is it to spend time worrying about what other people will think when they are not living your life or facing your reality?'‘No one who attains great success in life does so by following friends and people in your social circle who are all doing pretty much the same thing and following the same sort of code that existed in school.' ‘The problem is that a lot of people are so concerned with what others think of them that they never take the time to explore who they are and what exactly they want from life.'  CONTACT METHODfamilycourtcoaching@gmail.comInstagram: michael240656LinkedinABOUT THE HOSTMichael Watson is a qualified social worker and author with over thirty years of experience working with children and families. Today we've got a professional voice coach and vocalist who has been working for over 15 years in the music industry. Hannah Smikle is back on the podcast after 61 episodes, in her last appearance she spoke to Alexa about how to boost a singer's confidence. Hannah is on Singing Teachers' Talk this week to talk all about helping musical theatre singers build a reliable pop toolbox. KEY TAKEAWAYS In the last year Hannah has noticed an influx of singers and students who are concerned about their contemporary sound. They are often being asked to perform more contemporary pieces or sing contrasting styles which many don't feel comfortable doing. Other genres tend to be more dominant and students need help finding the style.  Very few auditions on broadway are asking for a golden age song, it goes to show how pop is now part of mainstream musical theatre productions at this point.  A pop contemporary vocal is characterised by a clear and bright tone, expressive techniques, emotional delivery, rhythmic alignment, catchy melodies, and current stylistic elements. It aims to connect with listeners through its expressive and engaging performance, reflecting the trends and styles of modern pop music. Pop affords us a flexibility which we're not afforded in other genres. You can celebrate your own vocal identity and USP, this can be the building blocks around your own artistry. This wouldn't be acceptable in other genres.  Teaching singers to achieve a pop contemporary vocal style involves technical training, stylistic awareness, expression, performance skills, recording techniques, and repertoire development. By combining these elements, vocal teachers help singers develop their unique voice within the genre while maintaining healthy vocal technique and effective communication with the audience. BEST MOMENTS‘How do I sing with this style? What makes this style?'‘It's difficult, we're asking singers to be vocal chameleons' ‘It's hard to pigeonhole what pop is' ‘How do I use this, and put it into this framework?' How can you leverage your personal brand? LinkedIn Expert Matt Swain joins Ash and Kane in this episode to talk about exactly that as well as why a podcast is the perfect tool to help you and Matt's top tips if you are looking to get sponsorship and guests on your podcast. KEY TAKEAWAYS We all have a personal brand and a digital presence so we should be using this to attract opportunities rather than missing out. Anyone who hosts a podcast has created a personal brand alongside it, they are the differentiating factor so they should recognise it. Using your personal brand on other platforms, such as LinkedIn and Instagram can make a big impact on your podcast growth. There's a social proof element to having presence on multiple platforms. This is powerful as trust is a key element in growing your podcast. Podcasting is unique in its humanising element, your audience builds a real connection with you and the conversational structure of the content makes it very humanising. Think of your target podcast audience, this is the same person that you want to attract with your personal brand. You don't want to be the same as anyone else. You want to be unique and specific and build credibility and trust so that you stand out in the marketplace. Think about the messages you want to convey to your audience and focus your content around these on all platforms so you don't fall into the trap of diluting your message. Consistency in your personal brand is key, remember it takes time to see results and the same can be said in podcasting too. Think long-term. Creating valuable content to promote your podcast creates an impact, standalone content that provides value before people go and listen will be more attractive. BEST MOMENTS “How do you use your assets, to create and attract opportunities instead of missing out on the potential they have” “You can get more eyeballs through using your personal brand and through social media content” “The thing about personal brand is it allows you to build trust outside of the podcast” “People want more depth, they want more personalities, they want more stories and people gravitate towards human” “Lean into your uniqueness, lean into your differentiating factors” 'The more you can give, for free, the more you will get in the long-term' VALUABLE RESOURCES Podcast Production - The Cost of the Wrong Choice How to Launch a Number 1 Podcast - Part 1 Free Podcast Workshop https://tinyurl.com/Podhelp Connect with Matt Swain on:LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/in/matt-swain1/Website: www.mattswain.comInstagram: www.instagram.com/mattswain_ ABOUT THE HOSTS Kane Baron, Ashley Morris & Thom Luter manage over 150 live podcasts Including Rob Moore, Kevin Clifton, Shaa Wasmand MBE & more. Helping Entrepreneurs Launch, Scale & Monetise their podcast for over 6 years. In this episode, Joel, and Andy discuss why even if you are already very good at what you do you still need to employ a coach. Usain Bolt did exactly that, despite already being the fastest man in the world. They explain why, over the years, they have employed coaches and have regularly changed them as they and their lives and business have evolved. KEY TAKEAWAYS Finding a good coach is vital for success. Most successful people employ them and continue to do so throughout their careers and life. On your entrepreneurial journey, you are sure to come across things that are new to you. The right coach has, through their clients and own experience and training, seen much more. Therefore, they have the know-how to guide you through things. Coaching helps you to recognise and address your weaknesses. The fact your coach can guide you to improve means you are less likely to feel overwhelmed. That in turn increases your chances of effectively dealing with your weaknesses. Coaches act as a sounding board, helping you to clarify whether your approach is viable. Importantly, they're neutral, which means you can be open, direct, and honest without worrying about the consequences. Coaching is an ongoing process, but be careful about falling into the shiny object trap. BEST MOMENTS‘How many self-coached people have made it to the elite? ´‘Generally speaking, people are self-absorbed. So, you need someone to act as a fresh pair of experienced eyes.'‘Ultimately, in an entrepreneurial position, there's very few people to hold you accountable, but yourself.'‘Coaching is an ongoing process. In this episode, Joel, and Andy talk about what inspired them to start their podcast and why they called it Stay Hungry. They discuss what Staying Hungry means and how it drives people to succeed in their business and personal lives. KEY TAKEAWAYS Not everyone is hungry enough for more growth and success. Which is OK if you are already fulfilled. But, if you want more, you must be hungry for it. Fear gets in the way of growth e.g., fear of ringing leads or recruiting new people. If you let fear rule you, you are not hungry enough. Some people aren't happy unless things are not going well. They like drama and lurch from one crisis to another. The hungriest people for success have usually come through some sort of trauma or hardship. The world does not owe you a living. That attitude will hold you back. If you are not hungry for something other than materialism you will likely struggle. Being hungry enough, and keen enough, applies to other areas of your life e.g., being hungry enough to be a good father or mother. Some people have only one goal, achieve it and stop. Or just go through the motions. When driven people retire, they often find a new purpose in helping their community. BEST MOMENTS ‘How many times have you dialled the number secretly hoping that person doesn't pick up?  ‘There're quite a few pigs out there. People that just like to wallow in sh*t.' ‘Money can't buy you happiness. But it can buy you freedom and relieve stress.' Welcome back to Transform and Thrive with Host Helen Lee. Helen is here to support you to transform and thrive in our rapidly changing world, so join her as she guides everyone to the next level, higher into the miracle zone. She has prepared intensively for her new role of raising consciousness and supporting people and organisations to transform and thrive beautifully and powerfully in the years ahead.  Now you can truly have everything that your heart and soul desire, but know that they have to be desired from your higher heart and soul rather than the human mind and ego. The decade ahead can be an exciting time of real change within ourselves and the world, if we know how to embrace and fully align with the highest aspects of who we are. And are committed to true transformation within and all around us.   We will need the power and attributes of our Soul and Spirit, the Pure Consciousness that we all are to go beyond the inevitable challenges that come with the dismantling of the Old within us and in our world.  And to co-create a vastly different world from a far higher consciousness. All this applies to both individuals and organisations including government bodies.  We cannot possibly create a whole new and far better world where everyone and all living things can thrive, from the same level of consciousness that created the existing one.  KEY TAKEAWAYS To tap into the unified field of constant synchronicity, we need to be increasingly soul- led and create from our soul power and universal mind. We are taking the usage of the universal law of attraction to a much higher level, beyond manifesting from the human mind and ego to materialising our desires from our higher heart and soul, and aligning with and operating from these highest aspects of ours in the first place. Do you truly love and honour yourself? Do you embrace yourself exactly as you are and lovingly and non-judgmentally support yourself to grow and be your best self? Do you even feel deserving? Your ‘Deservability Quotient' is the level to which you feel worthy of what you long to have for yourself and are open to receive. Humanity still attempts to veer towards the light and away from the darkness. At least, some of us do. And, often, we go about in unenlightened ways, coming from fear, lack and limitation rather than love and abundance.  In the year 2000, during a group meditation, Helen experienced a massive burst of golden light within herself which left her high-spirited and energy filled. Later on, while getting ready for bed, golden light emerged from her and filled her entire bedroom from floor to ceiling. That moment was one of absolute alignment within Helen. As long as we are alive on Earth in the years ahead, we will all move towards this Oneness, sooner or later. This goes beyond all religion, which is humanity's desire to move towards godliness or the divine. People have not been taught to fully acknowledge the greatest treasure that we have, untapped within us. Self love will help us unlock this.   BEST MOMENTS ‘How has the year been for you so far? Are you open to or even intent on consciously creating and receiving miracles galore this year? If not, why not? If you are, great! Are you enjoying awesome synchronicity and abundance in the first few weeks of 2023?'  ‘We are taking the law of attraction to a much higher level of exercising and maximising it. I've been teaching this long before it was made popular by the movie ‘The Secret' and chose back then to refer to it as ‘The Law of Resonance.''  ‘Our society is focused on making ourselves desirable to others so that we feel better about ourselves. This makes our sense of worthiness dependent on the external rather than teaching or encouraging us to be self-determined.'  ‘The irony is that we are light. Yes, you heard me right! Bio-photons are emitted by the human body and they can be released through mental intention.' ‘It means that all parts of myself came together as one. Where I was one with the universe, one with the light that I am, one with everything in existence.'  ‘In any case, we ended up neglecting ourselves and our own needs. We made choices and decisions, acted and behaved in a variety of ways to have our needs fulfilled and be loved by others who mostly should not be put in charge of our growing up and our well being.'   ‘This lovingly super powerful self of yours is also enormously needed to co-create the world, a whole new world that signed up to contribute towards putting together from a far higher consciousness than humanity has ever had.'    ABOUT THE HOST HELEN LEE Founder & Principal Coach of Lee Heiss Coaching, Helen Lee coached thousands of clients worldwide and multinationals in Asia-Pacific in the last three decades. Host Helen Lee continues her in-depth conversation with May Sim, psychological astrologer and founder of the Selfstrology Academy (Asia's top psychology astrology academy), where she has trained hundreds of international astrologers and guided thousands of clients in the last 16 years, towards using their strengths to achieve their full potential using their astrological profile.   Using her skill set, May has many interesting insights to share about the current state of the world and what our futures may hold, as we move forward in this transformative time.    In this episode, the second of a three-part interview, Helen and May talk about how people will survive and even thrive in the coming years in what is astrologically known as the Air Era, with the Earth Era having already completed two years ago. They discuss what these eras mean, the changes they will bring and how best to harness this massive opportunity to create real change for ourselves and humanity, as our values increasingly change in this new era.   KEY TAKEAWAYS For about 250 years, we have been in the Earth signs (Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn) during the Earth Era. The Earth Era is about tangibles, things such as production, monetary value and maximum output and efficiency. This was characterised by the Industrial Revolution. Once people become overworked and profit becomes the guiding and only reason to strive, then materialism is failing to support, nurture and develop us as human beings, let alone being the spiritual beings we all are. The Earth era ended in 2020.  The Air Era began in the 1980's around the advent of computer technology and its rapid development. People then began to consider the future seriously. Rather than profit and production being the driving force of the business, people, especially the next generation, are asking what companies stand for and what they accomplish for the better. We are concerned if the values of companies match our own.  Respect for the individual is paramount in the workplace. The new generation is not accepting simple categorisation and thus the idea of tribalism and population ownership. Borders were very relevant in the Earth Era, but with the rise of individuals, they will diminish.  With both Helen and May and others sharing their messages of transformation for the future to the world, it will be much easier for us to reach that ‘critical mass' of people knowing and sharing the truth of our spiritual being and our universal connection.   So much fear and self-doubt still exist in people about not being enough and not having enough. This will cause resistance and slow down our transformation. If we know our true selves, our inner selves, and our greatest selves, we will be able to move beyond all fears that we have. We would be able to embrace this new era with a new way of thinking, understanding true abundance, have wonderful innovative ideas and work with others to create the world for ourselves and others that we desire. The Air Era is the time for us to uncover so much more about ourselves than we ever have before.     BEST MOMENTS ‘How is everyone, worldwide, going to survive? For me, the way I see it is that consciousness must be raised and therefore higher intelligence must be there and then we would think differently and act differently.' - Helen ‘The point being, people were able to move across very large distances which means you were not limited within your family's business. A lot of young people at the time were very seduced and very attracted by this idea of going to a city.' – May ‘I think this is blowing a lot of HR people's minds. It used to be that you went to a young person and you offered them a really good salary, you threw a lot of benefits at them, and people would just flock to your company. Nowadays people are asking questions. They want to know what the company does. President Biden is proposing a higher tax rate for the super-rich. Rob doesn't agree with this at all and in this episode he explores why this is a bad idea and talks about what issues it could cause. KEY TAKEAWAYS  These decisions trickle down to everyone. If the government start taxing unrealised gains then this will just be the beginning. The consequences of taxing unrealised gains are far and wide, what will companies have to sell to pay for these tax bills? The timing of this after Covid is very poor. Surely firing up and stimulating the economy would be better. The government needs to inspire entrepreneurs and businesses to produce and create to stimulate the economy; more tax isn't the answer. In this episode, Aaron and Kane talk about how and why your title, systems and analytics are so important in building the success of your podcast. They also discuss engagement, audience, monetising your podcast and deliver some great hints and tips throughout. KEY TAKEAWAYS You need to ensure you get the balance right between having a niche and being too general. You need to differentiate yourself in some way, it can be a good idea to start very niche and then spread your net wider as you grow. Your title should incorporate what industry/category you are in but should be ‘niched down'. Meaning you should never just call yourself ‘The Marketing Podcast' but concentrate on your specific audience and reflect that in your title too. You can treat collaborations like a marketing campaigns. Think about how you and your brand can fit within other podcasts and then collaborate with them with this in mind. Engagement is more important that download numbers. An engaged audience is a superior audience; they either like what you are doing or are looking for more of what you are doing. You don't have to be too clever with your name. It's important that your title is descriptive and informative. Be consistent with your publishing schedule. It's better to start with less episodes than you think you will manage to produce, being consistent is more important than having more content. Missing episodes means you lose listeners. Try and have a bank of episodes and be ahead so you can deal with any unforeseen circumstances. When you first start podcasting, don't look at your analytics for the first six months. Then when you do, bear in mind podcasting is very different to platforms such as YouTube, it will be smaller numbers it's a different game altogether. Audience interaction information can be a lot more useful and insightful than just analytics data. Analytics data can be useful in helping guide decisions but it shouldn't be the only thing you use and rely on. BEST MOMENTS “How can I fit me, my persona, my brand, my niche in other shows?” “I love a clever name but sometimes that can be detrimental” “Everything you do has to be at the novice in your industry and the person who has no idea who you are” “If you're not there when they're expecting it then they'll be listening to the next thing” VALUABLE RESOURCES Website Instagram ABOUT THE HOSTS Kane Baron, Thom Luter & Aaron Nelson manage over 100 live podcasts Including Rob Moore, Kevin Clifton, Shaa Wasmand & more.  Helping Entrepreneurs Launch, Scale & Monetise their podcast for over 7 years. Fire in The Belly

Play Episode Listen Later Dec 11, 2021 80:21

Cyrina Bullard breaks all the rules and stereotypes. As a second-generation certified pharmacist, she has long been interested in helping other people manage their pain and live healthier lives. After two traumatic brain injuries (TBIs), she had to teach herself how to walk, talk, and function again. Then, post-initial recovery, she dealt with daily headaches and had to retire from practicing pharmacy. She describes her second career as a spiritual calling. One night, something compelled her to look up the domain name, “Catching Happiness dot com”. It, for some reason, was free, so she immediately paid the $38 required to register it, and over time realised that she wanted to continue helping people, this time by training them to live more courageously, more mindfully, and more empathetically. Join Mighty Pete and Cyrina for an inspiring conversation about hope, perseverance, and the true definition of success.   KEY TAKEAWAYS Resilience skills can be developed over time and through practice. “Whole grain health practices” such as sleep, eating healthy, and meditation can have measurable effects on our bodies. Our communities can be a real resource, as well – ask around what works for others. By sharing information, we become stronger and build connection. We only live one life, so we might as well make it a great one. What are your passions? What lights you on fire? What is holding you back from living the life of your dreams? Believing in science and fact-based knowledge does not preclude believing in miracles and serendipity. We are human beings, meant to experience the world and all it has to offer, but we are also here to be of service to others and be a contributing member of the human community. BEST MOMENTS “How can we empower each other to live our best lives, because we don't know what tomorrow holds? I (want to) help people be conscious about what activities they introduce to their days, because you can't control what happens in your life, but you can control how you react to, or respond to what's happening in your life. We need to be able to adapt to situations and rise.” “I think we learn and grow as we go, but it's a process, becoming our best.” “I've studied a lot about the brain, since I've had these two brain injuries: how I can optimize my brain health, and none of it has to do with drugs. A lot has to do with meditation, exercise, the way you eat, do you sleep? … There are so many things we can do naturally to help with our physiology, because our bodies are so intelligent.” “I'm a very resilient person, so I'm capable of allowing myself to move through challenges…I feel like I'm on this path and I'm capable of feeling guided and listening to that inner voice.”   ABOUT THE GUEST Cyrina Bullard is a certified HeartMath trainer and a Life Mastery consultant, helping people discover their true vision for their lives and cultivate the courage to pursue it. She is a member of the Continuing Education committee at the College of Pharmacy and at a consumer advisory board at Craig Hospital. She practiced as a pharmacist for many years, until a series of traumatic brain injuries forced her into early retirement; but from that serious setback she realised that she could still help people by sharing her story, and the health and resilience skills she learned along her way back to life. In this episode, Christina Vitagliano describes to Mighty Pete how certain “random” factors (having an abandoned building, needing to finance editing for a book she'd written) turned into the Monster Mini Golf franchise that she still runs over 20 years later. The book itself, while delayed until the COVID pandemic gave her space to publish it, is now out in the world and details, with harrowing honesty, the childhood sexual abuse she experienced in her family home. Christina shares with us her life journey, how she tries to advocate for others who can't advocate for themselves and shows how honesty and integrity can get us through most of what life throws at us. KEY TAKEAWAYS After years of distance, the different pieces of her life fit together in a smooth arc: how she came from a working-class town where she heard from parents that it cost too much to take their kids to the movies: so, she aimed to create a cost-effective, family friendly experience by putting together her first Monster Mini Golf. It's loads of fun, and the whole family takes down monsters, together.  Her book took over 20 years to publish, but now she has the money to truly promote it, and the wisdom and experience to hold her ground no matter what the response. If it's meant to, everything does happen in its own time.  If she can help one other person dealing with the effects of childhood sexual abuse, it will all have been worth it.  It may take a village to raise a child, but it takes an army to save one.  BEST MOMENTS  “How do I not let what happened to me many years ago affect who I am today?” (About writing a memoir that exposes her childhood sexual abuse) “The only thing you can do is hope that what you've written is exactly what I said – that somebody reads it and helps them. Or somebody reads it and says, ‘I haven't said anything, maybe I should speak up, because this is happening, either in my house or to somebody I know.'” “I'm an adult now, I don't have children, I'm successful with my life, so I can afford to take the time to yell, and I feel that…not everybody can, because they're just trying to get by every day. I just want to be able to yell for other people who can't.” “This has made me the kind of person that will speak up; if something is wrong, I will say that something is wrong. … I am the person who will take the right road (rather than the shortcut). I like that about myself.”   ABOUT THE GUEST    Christina Vitagliano is the founder of the mini golf franchise Monster Mini Golf, which has locations all through the United States and Canada. She is also the self-published author of Every Nine Minutes, a memoir of her childhood sexual abuse. Paul is joined once more by artist, Rebecca Wheele to talk about identity, figuring out who we are as individuals, and how that may change as time passes; as well as how self-love is an important part of knowing yourself in order to help others. KEY TAKEAWAYS We all have a perception of who we are, but we are slightly different people in different situations, so do we really know who we are? We learn to conform and survive in mainstream society from a very early age and in many respects that can take us away from who we truly are. We need to invest in ourselves emotionally, because the more emotionally strong we still have something to sustain us in times where we need to be strong on our own, either coming out of a relationship or during grief. As human beings we're constantly – consciously or not – looking for reassurance and a metaphoric arm round the shoulder that says ‘you matter in my life, I value you and thank you for being a part of it'. Kevin McDonnell keeps you in the know this week as he discusses this week's hot topics in the property world. Kevin talks through  the government's new ‘pet friendly' tenancy contract initiative which will see all landlords being obliged to rent to tenants with ‘well behaved' pets and whether or not landlords should continue to invest in urban areas. Kevin also looks at news within the progressive property community which looks at which bank to secure a limited company account with.   KEY TAKEAWAYS Property News: In a recent report by ‘Landlord Today', , they discussed how the government wants to introduce pet friendly tenancy contracts as standard. The new agreement means that renters with what are described as ‘well behaved pets' will be able to secure tenancies easier.   Landlords will no longer be able to issue blanket bans on pets, instead consent for pets will be the default position. The landlords will have to object in writing within 28 days of a written pet request from a tenant and provide a good enough reason. The reasoning behind this introduction is that the government says currently just 7% of private landlords advertise for pet friends properties meaning many people with pets struggle to find suitable homes.   There has been a lot of talk of people buying properties away from cities due to COVID-19. Long term you want to be buying in the bigger towns or cities. It all comes back to supply and demand, if you're buying a house in the middle of the county you are going to struggle to buy a tenant for that property. Nearly 7/10 landlords will continue to target property in urban areas.   Mortgage Works has now announced that they are launching new limited company mortgages targeting the growing number of incorporated ‘buy to let' landlords. The new rates at 75% loan to value (are also available for new mortgages) are two year fixed rates currently at 3.34%. The more lenders that start to come into limited companies, the more competitive it will be, which is great for landlords.   Progressive Property: A property has added a £146,500 increase in value due to the adding of a second bedroom. The property was purchased as a one bedroom flat for £303,500 and then converted part of the kitchen into a second bedroom which increased the value of the property.   The reality is during the middle of COVID-19 it is very difficult to get a bank account with many banks. The banks are worried that you are just trying to receive the bounceback loan from the government. Once the bounceback loans opportunity closes, you will see banks will begin to allow you to open up their bank account again.   Longterm, the best bank to have a limited company account with is probably Natwest or Lloyds. These two banks are both lenders who lend in commercial finance at a very good rate.     BEST MOMENTS “How do you describe a well behaved pet?” “The reality is, it is mainly homeowners that are looking to buy outside the cities.” “68% are looking to buy in urban areas despite the coronavirus countryside craze.” “These rates will change if you're listening to this in the future.” “A lot more people should be looking at that strategy.”   SUBSCRIBE TO THE A NEW INVESTMENT SERIES Episode One: How to Perfectly Invest £10,000 | The Best Stocks | Property | Gold & Classic Cars Watch Live On The Progressive Property YouTube Channel Every Monday At 7 PM Tiny.cc/PPTV Listen To Audio Recordings On The Money Podcast bit.ly/moneypodcastitunes ABOUT THE HOST Kevin McDonnell is a Speaker, Author, Mentor & Professional Property Investor. I am so delighted to introduce you to my good friends and like-minded-soul sisters, Wendy and Lynda. You will hear that they have a very special bond as “mirror” twins and that their careers have been closely linked for almost 40 years. Like many I interview, they are both nurses, but like me have a broader view of health and wellbeing than the traditional approach. We discuss the mis-representation of genes as basis of disease and the simultaneous things that happen that influence the onset of illness. We also talk about their signature programme, how it works, who it is for and why so many women benefit from it. KEY TAKEAWAYS· Lynda describes her bladder cancer and how she made her decision to have conventional treatment · The realisation of the true cause of her cancer, why Lynda believes she got bladder cancer but Wendy didn't and the steps she took to stop it returning.· Wendy shares that how we navigate the menopause is dependent upon how much crap we've cleared before we get there.· How looking back, anxiety and lack of confidence were part of the picture and common peri-menopause symptoms.· The importance of listening to our bodies and adjusting life to our moon-cycles: embracing femininity.· This is the time of spiritual ascension, women empowerment and balance. BEST MOMENTS· How certain types of conflict affect certain organs.· “This is serious shit that they are putting inside me!”· The stark and shocking effect of the word CANCER and its impact on the person themselves and on the people around them.· How an allergy to dogs helped Wendy cope with a situation she wasn't comfortable in. · The menopause is a transition into your wise woman years.· The 4 archetypes, the Maiden, the Mother, the Wild Woman, and the post-menopausal Wise Woman (or Shadow Crone). Gordon looks at how we acquire new knowledge and what we do with it. You can have a retained level of knowledge but you can really help yourself by noting down new learning and then periodically reviewing it. Ultimately the question you need to ask yourself is whether you have taken action on your newly acquired knowledge to make positive changes in your life because you need to not only consume knowledge but act on it to live the life you love   KEY TAKEAWAYS When you are learning, noting it down can be useful as you can periodically review your notes. If you learn something that's useful you need to take action on it. You can consume knowledge but not do anything useful with it. Fundamentally it's about whether you take action on the knowledge to make positive changes for yourself. If you learn something that you think will be useful in the future, having somewhere to note it down for future review is a useful way of keeping that knowledge. What good was it acquiring the knowledge if you don't use it and take action in your life? The important step is implementing new knowledge it needs to speak itself back out to the world in the actions you complete. By consuming knowledge and then acting on it you will be living the life you love.   BEST MOMENTS ‘How often do you consume knowledge but not act on it?' ‘It's carrying through and delivering on the knowledge you have learnt' ‘You need to get the knowledge into your soul and be able to live by it'   VALUABLE RESOURCES Life, Living It and Loving It podcast   ABOUT THE HOST   Welcome to the life, living it and loving it podcast with Extreme Execution Coach Gordon Done.  We don't know about you, but we're fed up of burning ourselves out and living in a state of survival. You can save a lot of time and money with the right systems and processes in place and Alex is talking to John Foster of The Business Systems People who specialises in designing and building effective systems for companies. He talks to Alex about his journey, new book, the hierarchy of documents and why everyone needs to have the right systems in place to be able to run their businesses effectively and achieve optimum success.   KEY TAKEAWAYS Businesses always want information before making a decision but often taking a step back and asking does this align with my goals is a better way it can be as simple as if the decision aligns then move forward. Make a decision and move forward tweaking it as you move forward. Everyone should have a hierarchy of documents which create the basis of a successful system. Whatever your business you need policies – beginning with your ethics and quality policy. There must be a business manual – an overview of how the business works and individual responsibilities. Each process requires documentation and its vital to also have a policy that is an overview of the policies. Standard operating procedures are the documentation that explain how to do something and mean that a process can be undertaken by anyone within the business. It's the ‘how-to' document. Records are the documents you need to keep – there are statutory time periods that some documents must be kept as part of your records. You can lose money if you don't put in systems that can be standardised. The longer you leave setting up systems the harder it becomes.    BEST MOMENTS ‘How you communicate with others is vital in the building of effective systems' ‘If communication is open you will gain a better understanding of how the work is progressing' ‘It's a story that takes you on a journey learning how to start in property and includes documentation and systems that you can put in place'   VALUABLE RESOURCES Business, Wealth and Mindset podcast series john@thebusinesssystemspeople.co.uk   ABOUT THE HOST   Alex is a prize-winning chartered accountant with experience in financial markets from trading finance, capital hedging, structural foreign exchange and interest rates to operational risk from the world's top financial and advisory institutions including Deloitte, RBS and JPMorgan Chase Alex has been involved in property development programmes across different types since 2008, building and managing a portfolio that includes standard buy-to-lets, student accommodation and other houses in multiple occupancy (HMOs). Alex reflects on self-worth and net worth and the link between them. By looking at what you can do in your life to increase your self worth you will be focusing on the positives in your life – what you have, what you can do, what you are grateful for and finding forgiveness. If you can improve your emotional climate your self worth will grow and along with this your net worth because whatever you expect in life is what you will get. Understand your inner emotions and feelings and make a positive change.   KEY TAKEAWAYS Self-worth is your inner feeling about being enough, It's your emotional climate. If you have low self-worth it will impact on all areas of your life. Your level of self-worth is directly linked to your net worth. The past and its mistakes don't define the future. Forgive those who have hurt you, It's a waste of your energy to hold these emotions within you. Let the emotions go and you will let the burden go and increase your inner feeling of self-worth. Be grateful and count your blessings. Whatever you appreciate, appreciates and it diminishes feelings of doubt and unworthiness. You can't simultaneously feel grateful and unworthy. If you focus on what you have and what you can do your self worth will increase.   BEST MOMENTS ‘How can you expect others to believe in you when you don't believe in yourself' ‘Let the emotions go and you will let the burden go and increase your inner feelings of self-worth' ‘Think about your self-worth and emotional economy and your net worth will grow'   VALUABLE RESOURCES Business, Wealth and Mindset podcast series    ABOUT THE HOST Alex is a prize-winning chartered accountant with experience in financial markets from trading finance, capital hedging, structural foreign exchange and interest rates to operational risk from the world's top financial and advisory institutions including Deloitte, RBS and JPMorgan Chase Alex has been involved in property development programmes across different types since 2008, building and managing a portfolio that includes standard buy-to-lets, student accommodation and other houses in multiple occupancy (HMOs). During the lockdown, many people have been given the gift of time, it's an opportunity to learn, grow and develop your skills and today, Rob shares with you ‘what's hot right now' and how you can maximise the opportunity of lockdown with online courses, e-Commerce businesses, social media, podcasting and masterminds. If you're looking to expand your skill set, mindset and grow a profitable business during the extra time spend at home, this episode is for you.   KEY TAKEAWAYS E-commerce is booming at the moment. It is important to not go into this blindly and not to do the “grabby” e-commerce such as toilet paper which does not have longevity. Online courses, events and masterminds are thriving during the lockdown. You could offer these courses for free, and your product could thrive off the back of it, yourself as an entrepreneur can make use of these online services, you are likely to have more spare time, therefore, there is greater opportunity to double down on your learning and grow your online support. Social media is uplifting during the lockdown, consumers are more active on social media and therefore you are able to get more reach with your content, gain followers, prospects and clients. Another great opportunity during the lockdown is podcasting, you have an abundance of time, if you record just one a day during the predicted 90-day lockdown, you could produce almost 2 years worth of content for weekly podcast It is really important to have a routine during the lockdown. When you have a routine, you have direction and accountability. If you are more ruthless about your time and productivity, you can get everything done in three hours as opposed to the eight hours you would have before if you cut out all the distractions.   BEST MOMENTS “How long is it going to be until life gets back to some sort of normality” “There are all these opportunities right now” “Don't waste the time that we have now”   VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/   ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. ‘If you track, measure and refine over time you will generate more leads by focussing on the right channels' Shaz is sharing the numbers that every business owner should know in this episode that provides great practical advice on how to get marketing, lead generation and conversion work effectively in your business. If you are a small business spending on marketing can be daunting and there can be a temptation to spend less. Shaz explains why you should spend more and how to utilise your ‘A' customers to generate the most valuable leads of all, listen in and find out how to get started.   KEY TAKEAWAYS Cost per lead the cost - This is how much it costs you as a business leader to identify or get a lead. Calculate how much you spend on marketing every month and divide this figure by the number of leads you have in the month. The outcome is the cost per lead. This is a starting point; the next step is to identify the number of leads from different marketing sources and work out the cost of lead by source. Track the best marketing sources for conversion and focus your marketing budget more intensively in these areas. The cost per client acquisition – This is the amount it costs you to win the client, this is the money spent on converting a lead into a new client, customer or patient. The lifetime value of a customer, client, patient - This is the most important number of all. Work out how long, on average, a client stays with you and what this is worth in revenue and then work backwards to decide how much you would pay for a lead. Generating more referrals A person who refers you has already been selling on your behalf. A referral lead has a much higher conversion rate than other leads and is likely to be of a better quality If someone recommends and provides a referral then you should recognise this with a gift or voucher – this is about appreciating what they have done for you. Focus on proactively asking your customers and clients because these are leads that most valuable.   BEST MOMENTS ‘How much am I willing to pay for a customer who will generate 6,000 in income for me over 3 years?' ‘Most current customers, if happy with service are happy to recommend their service provider but the business doesn't ask them' ‘An ‘A' client is likely to refer someone who is like them'   VALUABLE RESOURCES shaz@aaa-accountants.co.uk   ABOUT THE HOST Shaz Nawaz is a serial entrepreneur; he owns five thriving businesses in diverse sectors. The Disruptive Entrepreneur

Who should you hire? In this episode of The Disruptive Entrepreneur Rob discusses whether you should hire experience over attitude. Attitude can cost less money than experience but can that person can do the job how you want? Listen to this episode to find out!   Key Takeaways I don't believe there's a hard and fast answer. You need to think of your company's vision and resources. Hiring youth can give more energy and work ethic. Hiring experience can bring better quality. Which your choose to hire I believe is role dependent. If you hire potential talent that is cheaper then you have to train them and guide them to get them to where you want them to be. Where as with experienced people you will have to pay more money for them. A lot of people who hire cheaper less experienced people don't tend to consider things such as agency fees, not bringing in money for the firs 3 months or becoming uninterested and actually loosing you money. Don't hire someone who doesn't have experience in something that you can't teach them. It would be like the blind leading the blind. But you need to ensure that the person you hire knows how to do the job properly.   Best Moments “How much time are you prepared to put into training and development?” “If you've got patience, a desire to help and train and some kind of training systems/path to lead them down then you could hire latent potential talent on the cheap.” “On average a hire could cost about £24,000.” “I'm way more now of the opinion that you get what you pay for but that's not always a guarantee.” “If you're hiring an MD then you will want to find the best you can afford.” “If there are any 2 roles that pay for themselves it's sales and marketing.” “If I was trying to find a head of marketing I would try to find a generalist. They're not bad at multiple channels. You can then scale up from there.”   VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor and property educator.
