Send us a textFrom Come Follow Me:        "To the early Saints, the Church was more than a place to hear some preaching on Sunday. The revelations used words like cause, kingdom, Zion, and, quite often, work. That may have been part of what attracted people to the restored Church. As much as they loved the doctrine, many also wanted something holy they could dedicate their lives to. Even so, obeying the Lord's 1830 command to gather in Ohio was not easy. For many, it meant leaving comfortable homes for an unfamiliar frontier (see “Voices of the Restoration: Gathering to Ohio”). Today we can see clearly what those Saints could see only with the eye of faith: the Lord had great blessings waiting for them in Ohio.         The need to gather to Ohio has long since passed, but Saints today still unite around the same cause: to “bring forth Zion” (Doctrine and Covenants 39:13). Like those early Saints, we are invited to forsake “the cares of the world” (Doctrine and Covenants 40:2) and trust the Lord's promise: “You shall receive … a blessing so great as you never have known” (Doctrine and Covenants 39:10).Support the Show!www.patreon.com/SaintsintheSouthThe thoughts, ideas, and beliefs we express on this channel do not officially represent The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  For additional information or official statements, please visit the website below.  The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints: https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/?lang=eng)#biblestudy #oldtestament #religion #churchofJesusChrist #ldspodcast #christianpodcast #missionary #lds #biblestories #christ #faith #faithinchrist #scriptures #bookofmormon #doctrineandcovenants #pearlofgreatprice #temples #houseofthelord #mormon #mormonbeliefs #christiansandmormons #god #endure #ironrod #faithineveryfootstep #generalconference #prophets #followtheprophet #commandments #love #service #charity #keepstriving #keeponstriving #gospelgrowthandgoodtimes #become #newtestamentThe Living in Clarity Podcast, with Fish & Coach Do you want to live an awesome life and to also inspire others? He highlights that time moves quickly and people often find excuses to avoid pursuing their goals, urging listeners to recognize that they can always find reasons not to do something, but should instead focus on their internal purpose and motivation. The podcast host discusses the concept of setting 'ridiculous' goals, challenging listeners to push beyond their comfort zones and set aspirations that might seem unrealistic to others. He argues that if goals don't seem ridiculous to anyone, it might indicate that a person is limiting themselves and not truly challenging their potential.Williams shares personal experiences and insights about goal-setting, comparing goal achievement to driving a car - goals require active work and commitment to move forward. He encourages listeners to set specific goals for the upcoming quarter, be accountable, and not settle for less than what they truly want to achieve.KEY QUOTES:• "Your goals need to be absolutely and utterly ridiculous. And this is not hyperbole." - Tariq Williams• "You can literally always find a reason to not do something." - Tariq Williams• "Time waits for no one. Therefore, action is required." - Tariq Williams• "If your goals aren't ridiculous to anyone, if they're not even a little bit ridiculous to you, then we should push yourself a little bit harder." - Tariq Williams• "Bend over backwards for yourself. You do it for everybody else." - Tariq WilliamsKEY TAKEAWAYS:• At the end of the first quarter, it's crucial to reflect on your progress and not make excuses for not pursuing your goals• Set goals that are so ambitious that they seem ridiculous to others, as this pushes you out of your comfort zone and prevents self-limitation• Consistency is the key difference between good and great performance in achieving your objectives• Don't tolerate situations or people that don't support your growth; choose to not participate in negative interactions• Goals require active work and commitment - like driving a car, they won't move forward without your intentional effort• Focus on setting specific goals for the next four months (second quarter) rather than broad annual resolutions• Learn to bend over backwards for yourself instead of always accommodating others, which includes setting boundaries and prioritizing your own growth• Time moves continuously, so take action now and don't wait for a 'perfect' moment to pursue your dreamsWelcome to the Speak Your Vision Podcast where we talk about having a strong growth mindset and a positive lifestyle.

Have you ever found yourself caught in the web of overthinking, unsure whether to take action or wait for clarity? The dance between trusting your intuition and knowing when to move forward is perhaps one of life's most nuanced spiritual skills.Drawing wisdom from the Akashic Records and her book "Small Pearls, Big Wisdom," Dr. BethAnne Kapansky-Wright illuminates the delicate balance between yin and yang energies. When we feel stuck in mental gymnastics or find ourselves spinning in circles without resolution, it's often a sign we need to shift from forcing to allowing. Through practical self-reflection questions and nature-inspired wisdom, this episode offers gentle guidance for recognizing when you're expending energy unnecessarily and how to gather your energy inward instead. The comforting message? If you miss an opportunity the first time, it will come back around—perhaps in an even better form when you're more prepared to receive it.Key talking points include:• The Akashic Records message about "changing patterns" and how zigzagging like birds in flight can actually be perfectly aligned movement• Finding equilibrium between yin and yang energies – knowing when to push and when to allow• How to recognize when you're expending energy without results and need to shift your approach• Self-reflection questions to help determine if you should move or wait• Learning from nature's wisdom about trusting cycles and resilienceThis soulful exploration reminds us that we're never alone in our journey. We have countless resources beyond ourselves—spiritual guides, nature's wisdom, and the rhythms of life itself—supporting us when we open to receive. Dr Connealy is the founder of the Center for New Medicine and the Cancer Center for Healing in Irvine, California and author of two books: The Cancer Revolution and the Be Perfectly Healthy. She is also co-founder of leading hormone brand, Raena Health. She talks about why so many people are getting cancer, how to make chemotherapy more effective and less lethal, why prevention needs to be the focus. For Dr Connealy, the question we need to be asking: what is going on with your terrain, and why is it making cancer? Everything from the food we eat to the chemicals we surround ourselves with to the emotional work we aren't doing is causing this. And find out what she thinks our number one risk is – why and what we can do about it. (It's probably not what you are thinking)Dr Connealy wants us all to know that in most cases, cancer is 10 years in the making. She has really good guidance for women considering hormone therapy, explaining the differences in synthetic hormones and the importance of the “orchestra”, including progesterone and pregnanalone, and more than one kind of estrogen. She explains why there is no one solution that fits all women – even though that's what mainstream medicine wants us to believe – and gives guidance on the particular cocktail, with tweaks, that she likes to prescribe. She also gives her take on whether hormone therapy prevents cancer – its worth listening to the end just to hear what she has to say about that – and addresses that ongoing fear women have, which is weighing our fear of breast cancer risk when considering hormone therapy.Dr Connealy is recognized for her personalized, holistic approach. For 55 years, he kept his tiny kingdom alive through shrewd diplomacy and careful governance, transforming defeat into survival. While his father Hezekiah's rebellion against Assyria had devastated the kingdom, Manasseh took a pragmatic approach - restoring local shrines, rebuilding trade networks, and turning Judah into a valuable buffer state between Assyria and Egypt. Under his reign, settlements expanded south, new fortifications secured vital trade routes, and agricultural innovation helped feed a growing population. His story isn't one of wickedness, but of a masterful survivor who made difficult choices to keep his kingdom alive during one of the most dangerous periods in ancient history. The Living in Clarity Podcast, with Fish & Coach Do you want to live an awesome life and to also inspire others? Maura Casey opens a window into her 39-year sobriety journey with raw honesty and gentle wisdom. As a journalist who worked for prestigious publications like The New York Times and Hartford Courant, Maura's story reveals how professional success intertwined with her recovery from growing up in what she calls a "tumultuous" Irish family where "alcohol was the seventh member."The conversation takes us through Maura's childhood, where drinking at age 13 was normalized within her family culture. We witness her awakening moment at 28 when she realized her drinking was following her father's destructive pattern, prompting her sobriety journey. What follows is a masterclass in emotional sobriety—the deeper work beyond simply putting down the drink.Shelby and Maura explore the transformative power of establishing healthy boundaries after years of people-pleasing tendencies. Their discussion illuminates the crucial distinction between guilt ("I did something bad") and shame ("I am bad"), offering listeners practical insights into healing these emotional wounds. The conversation weaves through making amends, changing behaviors, and finding pride in breaking generational patterns of alcoholism.Perhaps most powerful is Maura's reflection on writing her memoir, "Saving Ellen," which chronicles her family's journey through addiction, illness, and recovery. She shares how her sister Ellen followed her into sobriety, demonstrating the ripple effect our personal healing creates. In a rich dialogue on the Clarity Podcast, Nick Fatato joins Aaron to explore the nuanced dynamics of transformative leadership. At the core of their discussion lies the biblical verse from Acts 13:36, which speaks to the profound desire to fulfill one's God-given purpose. Fatato articulates his commitment to living intentionally, reflecting on how he assesses his own alignment with God's calling. The conversation takes a compelling turn as they examine the metaphor of a sailboat's keel, symbolizing the internal stability required to navigate life's storms. Fatato's insights underscore the necessity of cultivating a deep, resilient inner life through consistent spiritual practices and disciplines. This imagery not only resonates with the challenges leaders face but also emphasizes the importance of grounding oneself to maintain balance amid external pressures.Another pivotal theme in their conversation is the sacrament of friendship and its essential role in leadership. Fatato shares the significance of having trusted confidants who can provide support and encouragement during challenging times. Drawing on the friendship between David and Jonathan, he illustrates how deep relationships tether individuals to their calling and remind them of their worth even in moments of failure. This discussion highlights the need for leaders to foster connections that promote accountability and understanding, particularly in the context of spiritual leadership where the stakes are high. They also tackle the pressing issue of spiritual abuse, advocating for a culture of grace and restoration rather than judgment. Furtado calls for humility in leadership, encouraging listeners to walk alongside those who have stumbled and to recognize the journey toward redemption as a vital aspect of faith. The episode culminates in a reflection on the contemporary challenges faced by leaders in a fast-paced, success-driven world. Fatato warns against the pitfalls of transactional leadership, where metrics often overshadow meaningful relationships. He emphasizes the importance of fostering authentic connections that contribute to long-term effectiveness and impact. By prioritizing soul care and nurturing deep relationships, leaders can cultivate an environment of support and resilience. This episode serves as a profound reminder of the holistic nature of leadership, where personal integrity, relational depth, and a commitment to God's purpose intertwine to create a transformative leadership experience.Takeaways: Transformative leadership is about recognizing God as the senior partner in decision-making. A cumulative life built on spiritual practices can prepare us for life's storms. Friendship is a sacrament, and deep relationships are vital for spiritual leaders. David's quick repentance demonstrates the importance of doing good after doing bad. Soul care and intentional friendships are essential for sustained effectiveness in ministry. The weight of our spiritual lives acts as a keel, stabilizing us amid life's challenges.

This episode continues the conversation with Jason Corso - Professor of Robotics and EECS at University of Michigan and Co-Founder/Chief Science Officer at Voxel51 - a Series A AI software company that enables machine learning and computer vision scientists to rapidly curate and experiment with their datasets in order to build higher performing machine learning systems.AI platforms have been a game changer for productivity and mapping, but it's not yet at the level of flexibility that would eliminate most of the grunt work. Eric and Jason speak on how they'd like to see AI platforms collaborate and get to a point where they not only map out your tasks, but also do a lot of the preliminary work - just like an assistant would. Generalized and personalized AI assistants are the next big step that would vastly increase the value that executives get from utilizing AI in their daily workflow. Eric speaks on how he's currently using ChatGPT to some level of success, but also mentions something we've all felt - the need for a system that compartmentalizes workflows, remembers information and draws custom next steps from previously established context.Everyone's excited for what's next for generative AI. Even though closed models are currently performing better than open-source, this situation will most likely change with time as more tools become available. Jason breaks down annotation strategies and speaks on how the idea of just taking data and training your own models might not be the most efficient way to drive innovation as an AI startup. There's a lot of work in understanding how to create good datasets, which is something that most companies are missing.Tune into the full episode to learn more about the potential of AI!HIGHLIGHTS:00:00 Utilizing Microsoft AutoGen04:04 What's next for AI assistant platforms?  09:03 The problem with ChatGPT 12:47 What's the next step in AI tool development?17:31 The problem with questionable datasetsConnect with Jason - https://www.linkedin.com/in/jason-corso/ Check out Voxel51 - https://voxel51.com/ Don't forget to subscribe to the Chaos to Clarity Podcast for more invaluable episodes to help you grow your business and stay ahead of the curve! To reach out to Eric, visit https://chaostoclarity.io/

Today's episode welcomes Jason Corso - Professor of Robotics and EECS at University of Michigan and Co-Founder/Chief Science Officer at Voxel51 - a Series A AI software company that enables machine learning and computer vision scientists to rapidly curate and experiment with their datasets in order to build higher performing machine learning systems.Jason is a builder by nature. During his academic career he started to ask himself - “can I have a bigger impact on the world?”, which led him to meet his co-founder and start Voxel 51. Both of them had a passion for machine learning and an ability to write code - which is how his transition from academia to consulting began. In the early days they received a grant which worked out well and funded them through the process of building their first service. Building a service, however, was never part of the plan. Once they realized that the limitations of the grant won't enable building a product, they sought out venture capital. This venture capital boost allowed them to build out their open-source platform which has more than 2 million downloads as of this episode. Jason speaks on the early success stories of Voxel51. One of their earliest clients took just 1% of their data and in a few hours they were able to look at the data visually, which enabled them to figure out where mistakes were made. Data quality is more important than the sophistication of the system, and Voxel51 enables their clients to find where inefficiencies live.Even with a great system - human input is still needed when it comes to quality control. Jason speaks on how humans filling in the gaps when the system is less certain is highly effective - even though it doesn't scale. Eric speaks on how experienced data scientists develop an almost 6th sense when looking at data and understanding that something is wrong and a change is in order. Check out the full episode to learn more on how to approach utilizing data! HIGHLIGHTS:03:41 Building a service-based business05:21 When do you utilize Voxel51 in the development process?09:52 Quality or quantity - what's more important for your data?15:05 The importance of human pattern recognition 18:03 New applications of AI toolsConnect with Jason - https://www.linkedin.com/in/jason-corso/ Check out Voxel51 - https://voxel51.com/ Don't forget to subscribe to the Chaos to Clarity Podcast for more invaluable episodes to help you grow your business and stay ahead of the curve! To reach out to Eric, visit https://chaostoclarity.io/
