What are adaptogenic herbs? Did you know that herbs have an effect on your resonance? Which herbs help promote and hold hydration in the body? In this episode of HYDRATE, Dan Moriarty and I chat about adaptogens and how they help our bodies cope with stress. In today's world, it is impossible to completely remove stress from our lives, which is why it's important that we take care of our bodies and our minds, so we can downplay its effects. When we consume adaptogen foods and herbs, this helps our bodies fight against stressors at a cellular level. Plus, Dan gives us three tips on how we can improve our health starting today. The most important thing to remember is that we must treat our bodies in a way that will increase cellular function; eating well and moving is critical to your health. Dan Moriarty is the founder of Sun Horse Energy, an adaptogenic herb company. He has spent about 40 years studying adaptogenic herbs. Today, his mission is to bring the benefits of herbs and plants to the people of our modern world. Did you do anything that served you beyond a materialistic way today? When was the last time that you spent time in nature, to simply reconnect with the earth? Do you feel capable of surrendering to your consciousness? In this episode of Hydrate, Jay Campbell and I chat about raising our vibrational frequency to a state of oscillation, the different quantifiable levels of vibrational frequency, and what happens when we finally surrender to our consciousness. The truth is that we live in a materialistic world where it is easy to get overwhelmed and lost in the stress of our everyday lives. But when we take the time to pause, to look inward, and to reconnect with nature, this gives us the opportunity to surrender to our consciousness and ask ourselves if what we are doing serves us, and to let go of the things that don’t. Plus, Jay also expands on the notion that there is nothing that we physically contract, from a disease state, that doesn't originate from a traumatized spirit. The negative experiences, thoughts, and emotions that traumatized us either through our lives or in the lives that we’ve lived before are what cause the bodily issues that we have today. Jay Campbell is the Amazon Best Selling author of four books in the optimization health care space. Jay is also the Founder of TOTRevolution.com and the globally recognized TOT Revolution and Optimized Life Podcasts. Both podcasts interview the top Optimization physicians and Subject Matter Experts who answer questions and provide their decades of experience to help Men and Women become fully optimized. bengreenfieldfitness.com/tracy Meet Tracy Duhs. I've been a guest on Tracy's podcast in the past. You can listen to that episode here. T racy, like me, was homeschooled K-12, so she's a bit...well...weird, like me. Like me, she also believes that optimal health is a fundamental right for all humanity, not just a privilege for a select few. Helping people activate their vitality and feel alive has been Tracy’s life long mission. Growing up in a missionary home cultivated her profound sense of compassion and her desire to educate on the simple foundations needed to look and feel our best. Also like me, by the time she was 15, Tracy had already begun her undergraduate education in medicine. At 16, Tracy shadowed a missionary doctor working in an indigenous village in Guatemala, where she gained hands-on surgical and medical training. The time she spent there opened her eyes and enlarged her heart, to the need for wholistic wellness education and foundations. After her experience in Guatemala, Tracy decided to forgo a traditional allopathic medical career in favor of one that focused on regenerative care and education. When Tracy became a mother, her professional path took a personal turn. Her first child, Grace, was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroid and alopecia universalis at the age of two. Emboldened by her daughter’s struggle, Tracy began her journey into into hydration education by pursuing a PhD in the field of biogenetics as well as shadowing doctors from all around the globe to learn their different approaches to disease. It was through these experiences that Tracy became passionate about hydration as she learned the power hydration has to transform overall health and wellness in all people. Today, Tracy works as a modern wellness advocate specializing in the restorative powers of intelligent hydration. She has parlayed her wealth of experience and knowledge into a multi-dimensional career in wellness advocacy and education, starting with her podcast, HYDRATE. Tracy frequently consults large corporations and hotels to help build and facilitate wellness experiences. She also serves as the Director of the International Brain Summit. Tracy is the founder the Sanctuary Wellness Experience in San Diego and co-founder of Hydrate at the Sanctuary. Something Tracy has gone through recently that has been challenging for her, and how she got through it Tracy's advice for her young self to navigate through her fear Takeaways: When you're true to yourself more often, the answers just come so much easier. You have to really look at yourself in the mirror every day and see exactly who you are, whether or not you choose to share that person with everybody else. Being self-aware is all about recognizing your faults, taking ownership of the mistakes that you make, and the failures that you have in relationships and communication, and learning from that. Having self awareness is kind of understanding what your weaknesses are, as well as your strengths -- and that's a complete person. Being confident it starts with working out and feeling good. Do deal with failure, it's important to kind of have that emotion, go through it, feel it 100% and then move the hell on from it and leave it. Trust your gut and actually use it every single time you're in a human interaction. When you feel something, speak it. Period. Do you hold yourself to a high standard that isn’t always attainable? A lot of creatives find themselves doing this and it can set us up to be really hard on ourselves when we don’t meet those expectations. In this episode, I was joined by painter and author Tracy Verdugo. We talked about setting realistic expectations for ourselves and our creative projects. She shares so much wisdom in this episode about seeing the world through the eyes of a child, how to get more involved in the creative community during the pandemic and advice on taking the leap into the creative venture you’ve been dreaming about! (This episode was pre-recorded on July 6, 2020) What’s in this episode: How Tracy crafts a life she loves What it was like having Elizabeth Gilbert take her workshop How she’s navigating the art classes during the pandemic How art gives you both an escape and a way to be mindfully present Her advice for making the leap into your creative endeavor Tracy’s thoughts on seeing the world through the eyes of a child Why you should learn to be less hard on yourself Things she constantly reminds herself and students of Pivots and turning points she’s made throughout her life How to feel more involved in the creative community virtually Her advice on having a lifelong lasting marriage About Tracy:If Tracy Verdugo was given the opportunity to coin a term for a new art movement based around what she teaches she might call it “Curiosity and Wonderism” or maybe “Loosen-upism” or “Endless possibilitism”. When she is not hanging out with her family in their artsy adobe home in a small village on the shores of Jervis Bay, Australia, or throwing paint around in her little purple studio in their backyard, you may find her painting beside thermal pools on an Italian island with an eager group of students, Aperol Spritz in one hand, paintbrush in the other, or sitting in a circle on St Pete Beach, Florida, listening intently as women share their stories of creative longing. Tracy is an inspiration instigator, prolific painter, bestselling author and lover of the written word, smitten traveler and soaker up of all that is beauty-full. She teaches her Paint Mojo and other creative workshops all over this amazing planet and reminds her students of the wonder that already resides within them. Her works are vibrant and filled with joy, inspired both by global travels and the simple beauty of the focused moment. Since 2000 Tracy has held 18 successful solo exhibitions and her works are held in collections both in Australia and internationally. Mostly though, she is mama bear to two gorgeous, zest-filled daughters, Santana and Cece, and co-adventurer in life with her amor of 34 years, the talented and brilliant Marco. Often as consultants, we know that we're really good at what we do, we are the expert in our field, but it can be really difficult to be confident in the way that we present ourselves. We want our appearance to affirm that we are who we say we are, and we can do the things that we say we can do. In this week’s podcast, I interviewed Tracy Hooper, a personal stylist who helps professional women create a style that helps them stand out, look great and make an impact. We talked about the impact personal styling can have on our confidence and performance as consultants, including: How a stylist will work with you to create an authentic look that reflects who you are (they’re not going to hijack your appearance) The role your clothing plays in building relationships, and the problems with going too bold, or too corporate The different ways you can create your own signature look, including examples of people getting this right What you should avoid wearing on Zoom calls How Tracy works with her clients to build a wardrobe that works for them, building many outfits from a handful of garments Useful links: Tracy Hooper on LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/tracyjaynehooper/ Tracy’s website: https://tracyjaynehooper.com Clothe Yourself In Confidence guide to using colours to influence the messages your appearance is giving out: https://tracyjaynehooper.com/clothe-confidence-1/

In this episode, we welcome Tracy Southwick, ND, HHP, a traditional naturopathic doctor based out of Houston, Texas. She is the founder of Heights of Health and has been practising natural medicine for over 20 years. Tracy went through her own personal health journey when she was diagnosed with an incurable life-altering illness. She was however able to heal through natural therapies and from then on devoted her life’s work to helping educate others about the beauty of the body’s innate ability to heal itself when given the proper tools.Through years of research and study, Tracy came to the understanding that stress (physical and mental/emotional) is the underlying cause of virtually all inflammation, disease and imbalance in the body. Based on that knowledge, she developed several proprietary techniques (Mind-Body-Spirit Release) with the support and research of her staff. These techniques focus on addressing underlying stressors in the body so that it is able to self-heal as it is meant to do.Tracy will share her backstory, talk about how our bodies store emotions about the different traumas we go through and how that affects our overall health, and the effective natural solutions that are available for us all. If you’re looking for a safe and compassionate haven where you can achieve health and well-being through natural and innovative means, then listening to this episode will be the first step towards that. Many artists have a desire to open their own gallery, but few know how much work and thought actually goes into it. In today’s episode, artist and gallerist Tracy Miller shares her experience of running the Tracy Miller Gallery for the last 7 years. Tracy discusses the journey from Fine Artist, to working in a Gallery, then opening her own gallery in Manitou Springs, Colorado. She talks about what type of artists she chose to work with, why she chose the specific location of Manitou Springs, the style of Art of the New West, challenges she overcame when running the business, how to still paint and have time for your own art when running a business, and advice she would give to others looking to open their own gallery. Tracy also talks about her decision to close down her gallery and focus more on her own work as an artist. In this interview, you will hear Tracy talk about: Her background as a fine artist, and how her experience with wholesale helped her later with becoming well versed in retail. Her experience working 5 years at an art gallery in downtown Denver, and why she feels working at a gallery before opening one is crucial. How Tracy Miller Fine Art came to be in 1994, and then evolved into Tracy Miller Gallery in 2011. Why Tracy chose Manitou Springs, Colorado as the gallery location, and how the mix of tourists and locals was a smart choice for her business. Why 70% of her sales ship out of state, and the importance of running a good virtual business on social media and your website. The importance of maintaining studio hours when you are an artist-gallerist. What Art of the New West means stylistically, and how the wildlife, landscape and Western themes are brought to life in a contemporary and colorful manner. The vision that Tracy brought to curating a cohesive gallery that some say fits perfectly together like a jigsaw puzzle. How Tracy chose specific artists for her gallery, and why she recommends working with artists that have tested their art before, engage with their clients and fans, and are active in their own business. Why gallery owners should know the price points of not only the art in their region, but the city or community as a whole. Crunch the numbers, and know the numbers. The success principles of “acting as if” and getting involved with your local community to network. How the internet has changed the way gallerists and artists interact as a collaborative effort rather than separate entities. Overcoming major business challenges, including two fires, floods and road construction projects around her gallery. Why Tracy has decided to close the gallery. Why her profit margin was at least 10% higher than a normal profit margin for retail. The different types of galleries that artists can open, and the choice they have to feature only their work, or create a space featuring both themselves and others. Perhaps you want to bring more magic into the world in the form of an animated film or video game. Inevitably, such a significant undertaking will face big challenges. What gives filmmakers and game designers the drive to persist over the years it takes to complete such substantial projects—when there is no guarantee or reward or recognition? Today, Jeffrey goes behind-the-scenes of wonder-making with filmmaker, animator, director and producer Mark Osborne, whose film The Little Prince received France’s prestigious César Award for Best Animated Film, and game designer, educator and Game Design Workshop author Tracy Fullerton, who serves as Director of the USC Games Program and Professor and Chair of the Interactive Media & Games Division of the USC School of Cinematic Arts. Mark and Tracy explore the collaborative nature of the work they do, explaining how their respective teams foster curiosity and generate unexpected ideas via play, affording special attention to craft and detail along the way. Mark describes his commitment to doing justice to The Little Prince, and Tracy offers insight around the personal connection her ‘book club’ developed with the award-winning Walden, a game. Tracy and Mark share their favorite elements of wonder in The Little Prince and Walden, discussing the painstaking effort involved in taking our breath away. Listen in to understand how their work brings Thoreau and Saint-Exupéry’s themes into the 21st century and learn how to keep your own team inspired and agile by way of an open, inclusive work culture. With the rise of new online marketing channels, entrepreneurs have the opportunity to connect with potential clients through various audio and video platforms. But what if you hate the sound of your own voice? Or you just don’t have the confidence to really connect with an audience? The voice is a powerful tool, one that entrepreneurs can use to command attention and share their stories with the world. Tracy Goodwin is the owner of Captivate the Room, a coaching business that teaches clients how to connect their message with their passion – and make an impact with their voice. Her unique approach, the psychology of the voice, allows clients to unravel their voice story and frees them from the barriers that are preventing them from connecting with an audience. Tracy is an expert in voice technique, and she has trained actors, speakers, entrepreneurs, business executives, leaders, and podcasters from all over the world – helping them step into their voice power and speak their truth. Tracy graduated from Baylor University with a BA in Theatre and went on to earn a Master’s in Creative Drama from Texas State. She worked for many years as a professional actor and director but kept running from her true purpose as a voice coach because she couldn’t get past her own story. Tracy grew up in a family where she was not allowed to speak, so she just couldn’t see herself as an expert – despite repeated opportunities to coach voice. When she was put in charge of the voice program at a conservatory, she could no longer deny her gift. Today she shares that gift with you, explaining her coaching process and how she connects with clients. Listen in and let Tracy help you manage your time, capitalize on social networks, and make an impact with your message!
