I. In this episode of Docs Talk Shop, Dr. Lemanne and Dr. Gordon explore how daily rhythms impact cancer treatment, brain health, and metabolism. Discover surprising ways to optimize your health by carefully timing your sleep, light exposure, and meals. (And think twice about late suppers!)Breast cancers spread at night, and why this means trouble if your largest meal is supper. In colorectal cancer patients, morning chemo benefits men, while afternoon chemo benefits women.Light exposure at night disrupts sleep in everyone, immediately increasing the risk of diabetes and cancer.Vigorous exercise instantly creates cancer-killing effects in the blood that last for two hours.A single night of poor sleep causes high blood glucose and junk food cravings the very next day.References:Metastatic spread of breast cancer accelerates during sleep. Production, animation, réalisation et illustration : Anaïs RouxInstagram : https://www.instagram.com/neurosapiens.podcast/neurosapiens.podcast@gmail.comMusique d'intro KEEP ON GOINGMusique proposée par La Musique LibreJoakim Karud - Keep On Going : https://youtu.be/lOfg0jRqaA8Joakim Karud : https://soundcloud.com/joakimkarudSOURCESMünzer, S., Zimmer, H. The Mindful Healers Podcast with Dr. Jessie Mahoney and Dr. Ni-Cheng Liang

How and why mindfulness works. It's not woo woo. There is lots of science to support its impact. Our brain is capable of change.  Mindfulness is the path.  We welcome back Dr. Ellen Cooke, radiation oncologist, mindfulness teacher and Founder of the Circle of Hope. She shares literature covering benefits of mindfulness on hormonal regulation, neurofeedback, and epigenetics – especially amongst cancer patients.   Dr. Ni-Cheng Liang shares some of the neuroscience and neuroanatomy of how mindfulness affects the brain through attention, emotion regulation, self-awareness and pain processing. A few of the points shared in today's episode. Mindfulness can lessen the perception of pain. It improves attention, self awareness, and emotional regulation. It impacts release of hormones that affect love, sleep, healing, pain, stress, your immune response and mood disorders. Mindfulness has been shown in studies to lessen stress by measurements of hormones. This episode hopefully will serve as inspiration to recommit to daily mindfulness practice as an evidence-based way to help ourselves.   Some of the articles referenced in this episode:  Tang, YY., Hölzel, B. & Posner, M. WTF is Interoceptive Awareness?  Interoception involves communication between a bodily sensation and our brain processing the information to support physical and emotional wellbeing, and ultimately a response.  The ability to access interoceptive awareness varies greatly from person to person; for some it is relatively easy and little guidance is needed and for others, it can take training and practice.  Any type of conscious restriction causes us to detach from our body signals and ignore what is happening. The disconnect causes us to be confused and unable to read what our body is actually telling us.  In this episode, we discuss how Intuitive Eating helps us tap into our interoceptive awareness. --- Quellen: - How your emotions change the shape of your heart | Sandeep Jauhar -- https://youtu.be/mwoLhdHRt_0 - Hidden Brain — You 2.0: The Empathy Gym — July 29, 20193:00 PM ET https://www.npr.org/2019/07/22/744195502/you-2-0-the-empathy-gym — https://www.npr.org/transcripts/744195502 - Hidden Brain — ep. 68 „Schadenfacebook“ — https://www.npr.org/templates/transcript/transcript.php?storyId=524005057 - Hidden Brain — Looking Back - https://www.npr.org/2018/06/21/622298227/radio-replay-looking-back - Francesco Pelliccia, Juan Carlos Kaski, Filippo Crea, and Paolo G. Dans cet épisode un peu spécial, @Heal You vous plonge dans des histoires extraordinaires de médecine. Was macht diesen so wertvollen Prozess eigentlich aus? Why we sleep - Matthew Walker Walker, Matthew P.
