See saade on kiire. Saatejuht on Tarmo Tähepõld Geeniuse uudisteportaalist.
Hosted on Acast. The Porsche Cayman is only for those that can't afford a 911. But that said, which one is the best one if that is all you can buy? We roped in current owner Derek to walk us through the OTHER poor man's Porsche to tell us why we should consider the Cayman, and whether or not he can get Adam to admit that it is kind of good.

GHiT 0296: Mo Dadkhah from Hagerty's The Drive Within We first were introduced to Mo Dadkhah during our episode with Loni Unser and then we saw that he was on "The Drive Within" with the rest of the Round Three Racing team (R3R) as they competed in the WRL endurance racing series. The show is sponsored by Hagerty and appears on their site as well as the Motor Trend channel. Mo is one of the drivers of the #701 Porsche Cayman that competes in the GP1 class within WRL. During this episode, we go over Mo's racing history, the WRL series, the R3R team, and tons of details on the making of the show. This show is being released ahead of the season ending episode that should be released this Friday. "The Drive Within" is the first show that we have found that accurately depicts the highs and lows that each team and driver experiences during a race weekend. It is a can't miss show and has a permanent spot on our DVR. A link to the episode is: https://tinyurl.com/MoDadkhah If you would like to help grow our sport and this podcast: You can subscribe to our podcast on the podcast provider of your choice, including the Apple podcast app, Google music, Amazon, and YouTube etc. Also, if you could give our podcast a (5-star?) rating, that would be greatly appreciated. Even better, a podcast review, would help us to grow the passion and sport of high performance driving and we would greatly appreciate it. For instance, leaving an Apple Podcast rating is very easy. Just enter the code “ghitlikesapex!” when you order. They are a great system and truly invaluable in safely increasing your speed on track and/or autocross etc. The recently released second generation systems and app increases the capability of the system greatly. Best regards, Vicki, Jennifer, Alan, and Bill Hosts of the Garage Heroes In Training Podcast and Garage Heroes In Training racing team drivers Highlights for this episode include: 1) How endurance racing and consistency of effort has led to Mo's growth as a driver and allowed him to reach his current level. 2) We go into how the Cayman #701 race car came to be the tool of choice that Mo drives with his team in WRL's GP1 class primarily against other Caymans and E46 BMW's. 3) What Mo gets from his racing and how drivers are "compensated" even at the higher levels in the US. Spoiler, none of us will likely be making a mortgage payment anytime soon. 4) How the R3R racing team works and interacts at the races and what you can learn from them that will help your endurance racing team. 5) Mo gives a great summary of the way that the WRL series classifications work and his thoughts on the way the series functions and keeps the competition level high but still more reliant on the driver, as opposed to the budget/checkbook. 6) We also go into starting and filming "The Drive Within" and we start to feel a bit better about our iPhone and Android race weekend videos not being quite up to this level, lol. 7) The R3R team is a perfect example that the team is not just about the drivers, it depends on each and every team member, both before and at the track, and when operating properly, it becomes a family. 8) Tips on how to improve as a driver and tons of little items that R3R does as a team that everyone can incorporate into their racing program and team, even if it is a "team" of one. 9) Mo uses a coach personally and we review his opinions on how a coach can help your driving and the differences between an instructor and a coach. We need to try this in 2022. 10) We come up with a new business plan. No stealing please. PS Don't tease Mo too hard after the least episode airing this Friday. PS2 Please let everyone know about the show and hopefully we can get a second season PS3 We gladly welcome Mo's repeated offers to become a "producer" of the show and secure some great episodes PS4 Let us know if you want to hear Mo subjected to the our fast and furious story time questions. We have a bunch of other racing and driving questions for him as well. Is a racing car a practical or sensible choice for everyday use? John Hindhaugh spent a week with the Porsche Cayman GT4, as used in the Porsche Visit Cayman Islands Sprint Challenge GB, to find out.
Things you don't know about the Porsche Cayman GT4 RS.Porsche fans have calling for the brand to take the engine from the 911 GT3 and put it into the Cayman. Porsche had danced around the concept for a while, giving us the Cayman, then the Cayman S followed by the Cayman R and then the performance focused GT4 but now, Porsche has decided to give the purists what they have been yearning for and that is the Cayman GT4RS. They have taken the naturally aspirated 4 liter flat 6 from the legendary 911 GT3 and with some clever engineering made it a home in the Cayman resulting in 493 HP. This is way up from the regular Cayman's 414 HP. Torque is up to 331 lb ft from the regulars 317 lb ft. Now Porsche wasn't about to steal the 911 GT3's thunder so the Cayman may share the same powertrain but the 911 GT3 has 502 HP and 346 lb ft torque. If a car redlines at 6, 7 or 7500 rpm's that's impressive. One of the bragging points of the 911 GT3 is it's 9000 rpm redline which the GT4RS now shares. One would think spending $145,000 on a Porsche Cayman one would get aluminum, perhaps metal or at least plastic logo badging on the car: but that just isn't so on the Cayman GT4RS. Instead you get decals. Both the GT4RS badge on the back and the Porsche logo on the front are decals. Porsche wasn't taking the cheap way out, instead this decision was to save weight, because when it comes to a sports car every ounce counts. The Cayman comes with a highly modified Aero package. Where the normal Cayman comes with a window just behind each door. Not so on the GT4RS, instead you get an air intake that feeds more air to the larger engine. You also get Porsche's new swan neck wing. Porsche found that having the mounts attack over the top; resembling a swan neck, great down force could created with less air disturbance. Combined with the other ground effects package, optimized underbody, new adjustable front diffuser, lip diffuser; rear diffuser you get 25% more down force than a regular Cayman. The final thing you don't know… is we really want you to like this video and subscribe to channel. Thank you for helping us grow.Let's talk about cars tomorrow.#porsche #porschecayman #caymangt4rs #porsche911gt3
This week's big announcement is Car-Chum confirming its 2022 availability to officiate at closing ceremonies. Also, Tony is proven right on Romanian pronunciation, he gets all thoughtful about the future and promises to spend more time on his motorbike. Meanwhile Mike surprises everyone by reviewing some big new car releases for panned for the year ahead. The Car-Chums do find some common ground though, by agreeing that they both like the Rover 800 and Porsche Cayman.

In today's PorscheCooled Podcast Michael presents episode 53 of owner stories with Paul from the UK. Cars have been a part of Paul's life for ever. Since his mid-teens he has had his eye on Porsche. As a kid he drew a 993 engine and silhouette and sent it to a Dick Lovett - a well know Porsche dealer in the UK. Surprisingly he received a response as well as a stock of books for his passion. From that point onwards Paul was fascinated with Porsche, although it was still out of reach. Paul put his Porsche dreams aside ‘as one day' I will have a Porsche which most of us can relate to. Living in Cheltenham with an abundance of great driving roads this only fuelled Paul's passion, it's no wonder he has owned over 40 cars to date. From his first memorable car a mid-engine Mk1 Toyota MR2 sorted by Litchfield in the UK. A lot of drivers cars followed, including GTI's, Accord Type R, Lotus Elise and many others. Paul engineering background and being a ‘sucker for a special edition” has drawn him to very interesting cars. Today, Paul has come full circle with his first Porsche, a mid-engine well optioned 2015 Porsche 981 Cayman with manual transmission. Paul is also part of Reengineering where with his 2 partners will be leading a group of STEM grads through building a 550 Spyder (kit). This will be a modern interpretation of the '50's 550 with re-engineered parts and a carbon body built to a level that Paul would like to equal Singer. Not your average kit car. Welcome back to the Porsche Cooled Podcast. Follow Paul on Instagram @renngineeringuk Watch and Subscribe on YouTube Michael (@michael.bath) owns a first generation 997 Carrera, comes from Australia and currently resides in Bahrain. It all started with the question "Can you find bore scoring in a Porsche engine?" Well if you're familiar with our services, you know that we can indeed find evidence of bore scoring, just like many other wear-related problems. But for Max Revs and his YouTube following, bore scoring was just one of the many topics we covered during our livestream chat. Also dann mal reinhören, all ihr hippen Hipster!

Back in 2009, I won a Porsche Cayman as a prize in an international competition to find The "Ultimate Marketer". This is that presentation.
Randy Beikmann joins me to talk about the ideal line – the one that results in the fastest lap times – something that he’s been modeling from a mathematical perspective, and then relating to real track driving. What he shares will give you a deeper understanding of why you drive the line you – or should drive the line you’re currently not! Randy is a former engineer for General Motors, and currently teaches engineering at Kettering University. He’s written the super-important book, Physics for Gearheads – a must-have for anyone interested in understanding vehicle dynamics and driving at a deeper level. As important is the fact that he’s also a track rat who drives a Porsche Cayman in PCA events. Randy’s Speed Secret: Power is not the end-all. Traction is more important. You can purchase Randy’s Physics for Gearheads at Barnes & Noble, or on Amazon.
