Ein Kommentar von Rainer Rupp.Mit einem Brief an „alle NATO-Nationen“ hat Trump die europäischen Regierungen in einer Zwickmühle gefangen, wobei die EU-Eliten nur noch zwischen Pest und Cholera wählen können. Diese Entwicklung spielt sich vor dem Hintergrund zunehmend auseinander klaffender Zielsetzungen Trump's und der europäischen Akteure für die Ukraine ab.Dank seiner Bereitschaft, direkte Gespräche mit der russischen Seite zu führen, hatte Trump schließlich verstanden, dass seine ursprüngliche Forderung nach einem bedingungslosen Waffenstillstand in der Ukraine keinen Sinn machte, solange die Ursachen für den Konflikt nicht vorher in Verhandlungen gelöst waren. Damit hatte sich Trump zum Entsetzen der Kriegstreiber im US-Kongress und in der EU der russischen Position angenähert.Zudem ist Trump noch resoluter als sein Amtsvorgänger Biden entschlossen, jegliche militärische Konfrontation zwischen US und russischem Militär zu vermeiden. Im Unterschied zu Biden und den EU-Eliten scheint Trump ernsthaft interessiert, normale zwischenstaatliche Beziehungen mit Russland wiederherzustellen. Und auf diesem Gebiet haben die Russen und Amerikaner bereits erstaunliche Fortschritte gemacht, wovon die überraschende Anwesenheit von US-amerikanischen Beobachtern beim aktuell in Weißrussland stattfindenden, russisch-belarussischen militärischen Großmanöver „Zapad-2025“ zeugt. Die Amerikaner waren einer Einladung aus Moskau gefolgt.Für die globalistischen EU-Eliten schien Trump noch nie viel übrig zu haben. Er weiß, dass sie ihn persönlich und auch seine Politik verachten und verhöhnen, wie die aktuellen Ereignisse um die höhnischen Kommentare rund um die Ermordung von Trumps Freund und Unterstützer Charlie Kirk vor Augen geführt haben. Da will Trump sich nicht von europäischen Falken in seine russische Suppe spucken lassen.Allerdings haben die anglo-amerikanischen Falken und EU-Kriegstreiber nicht aufgegeben, mit allerlei Tricks, mit manipulierten Berichten oder gar „falschen Flaggen“, Trump anhand früher getätigter Aussagen festzunageln und ihn zu einem aggressiveren Vorgehen gegen die Russen zu verleiten. Die Grünen als einstige Friedenspartei sind heute sicherheitspolitische Falken. Die SPD führte die Agenda 2010 ein. Warum werden linke Parteien mit der Zeit konservativ? Der Soziologe Robert Michels beantwortete diese Frage bereits vor über 100 Jahren in seiner Studie „Zur Soziologie des Parteiwesens in der modernen Demokratie. Untersuchungen über die oligarchischen Tendenzen des Gruppenlebens“. Darin zeigt er, warum Parteien ab einer gewissen Größe oligarchische Strukturen aufweisen und sich eine Führungskaste entwickelt, die vor allem daran interessiert ist, die eigene Macht abzusichern. Zudem sei ein großes Problem linker Parteien, dass diese danach streben, „Verantwortung zu übernehmen“ und mitzuregieren. Die Interessen der Arbeiter werden dann nicht mehr vertreten, sondern dem Regierungszweck untergeordnet. Liest man heute die Analyse von Robert Michels, sind Parallelen zur Gegenwart unübersehbar. Hiroshi Takahashi aka Kaicho is an AE86/hachiroku drifting legend from Tokyo, Japan. He started drifting in 1989 and is a self-proclaimed 2nd generation drifter. Alex Laline is a lifelong sailor and one of our full-time staff at 59º North. Growing up in a multinational family, he sailed dinghies as a kid in the UK, Spain and Indonesia, then got inspired to sail around the world when he saw an ad for the Clipper Round the World Race. As a teenager he saved all his money and joined Clipper as a paying crewmember, completing a circumnavigation and later going on to work as a mate and now skipper for them as well, under the guidance of Clipper founder Sir Robin Knox-Johnston. Tony Angelo is a US drifting pioneer from Doylestown, PA. He found drifting from Initial D in the early 2000s and started sliding his car around PA back roads, meeting Chris Forsberg in the process. In their turbo FC Mazda RX-7s, they were heavily into drifting before anybody in their area knew what it was. They eventually hosted sanctioned events at Englishtown Raceway, introducing drifting to others on the East Coast including people like Vaughn Gittin Jr. and Ryan Tuerk. In this episode, Tony recalls getting into hot rods as a kid, discovering drifting, and his journey as a professional drifter in D1 and Formula Drift. He talks about the shenanigans they got into as team Drift Alliance, and his stint as a Formula D judge. These days, Tony is well known for his stint co-hosting Hot Rod Garage and Roadkill on MotorTrend TV, and more recently from his popular YouTube show Stay Tuned. Jojo Pickering grew up with sailing as a central part of her life, vagabonding on the high seas with her family and sailing from Africa to the UK. As she got older, she spent more time ashore, starting a traveling theatre company with her husband and kids and bouncing around the UK, France and Spain. But the sea called her back — she recently completed an Atlantic circle with her family on a gaff-rigged sloop and now sails professionally as a skipper on classic yachts and with 59º North. Jonathan Wong, proudly grew up in the San Gabriel Valley in Southern California. He was introduced to import racing in the 80s by his older cousins. After buying his EF Civic Si, he and his teammates from Team Macross 7 strived to make an imprint on import car culture through car shows and drag racing. He started his career at the bottom at a magazine called Super Street and eventually moved his way up to editor-in-chief. There, he influenced millions of Super Street fans as he helped to popularize JDM style. Phill Lee is one of the first street drifters in the Chicago area.  He co-founded ClubFR, an organization created to get drifting off the streets and to legitimize drifting in Chicago and the Midwest area.  Under his watch, ClubFR has helped produce D1 drivers and Formula D drivers, they've hosted the RS-R Drift Festival, Formula D Pro-Am, and most recently, Final Bout.  From ClubFR's inception to today in 2024, Phill played a role in establishing Chicago as an influential force in the USA in terms of drifting culture.
