It would be difficult to understand the movement of water in a murky lake, or the swirling air inside a sealed chamber, without being able to see inside. For decades, scientists have relied on clever tricks to peer into such opaque environments, often adding particles or using optical techniques. But what if the fluid is too dark, too enclosed, or too delicate for those methods? A new approach, developed by researchers Lennart Kira and Dr. Jerome Noir of ETH Zurich, offers a compelling answer. It listens instead of looks.

We were not only created to worship, but to carry a prophetic sound, a Spirit-inspired expression that goes beyond songs and becomes a declaration of heaven's will on earth. When we worship prophetically, we don't just respond to what we see; we proclaim what God is saying. Every believer is called to release prophetic soundwaves - worship that transforms environments, awakens hearts, and invites the Presence of God to move.

In this episode I sit down with Professor Conny Aerts, a pioneering mathematician and founding figure of astroseismology, who reveals how scientists are "listenting" to stars to understand what's happening deep inside them. From oscillating stars to solar sunquakes, she explains how sound waves can measure the sun's size, age and activity. Beyond the science, she shares her remarkable journey from a small rural town in Belgium where she had to attend an all-boys school, the only school near her family home. She was expected to become a seamstress but Conny's dreams were beyond this planet, leading her on a path toward becoming a highly acclaimed asteroseismologist.

Continuing education is required, but the way we earn it is evolving. In this episode of BHT Bytes, host Peter Fenger is joined by Sharlee Dixon to explore the growing shift toward podcast-based continuing education (CEs) for mental health professionals. If you've ever found yourself scrambling for credits, zoning out in long webinars, or wishing CE requirements fit better into real life, this conversation is for you. We break down what podcast-based CEs actually are, how they work, and what clinicians need to know about accreditation, post-tests, and license requirements. You'll hear how this format compares to traditional self-study courses, who it tends to work best for, and where its limitations lie, especially for visual or skills-based learners. We also discuss accessibility, burnout, and how podcast learning can feel more like mentorship or consultation than instruction. Finally, we walk through trusted platforms offering podcast-based CE credits, what to look for before enrolling, and how clinicians can build a sustainable CE plan using audio-based learning, without adding another task to an already full plate. Zhen Xu knew that most people thought it was impossible to use an ultrasound machine to destroy tumors inside the body. But Zhen was still a University of Michigan Ph.D. student; she decided she could afford to try. After years of testing how to control the high-intensity sound waves, that decision paid off and a new, non-invasive medical procedure was born. In 2009, Zhen co- founded HistoSonics, a Plymouth, Minnesota company whose non-invasive platform liquifies and destroys tumors at the sub cellular level. HistoSonics was acquired in August 2025 for $2.25 billion by a consortium of top-tier investors that included Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and PayPal and Palantir Technologies co-founder Peter Thiel acquired a majority stake in August 2025 in HistoSonics. The sale made HistoSonics the second-largest venture capital-backed medical device exit ever, excluding IPOs or public company acquisitionsMidwest Moxie's executive producer is Audrey Nowakowski. Ascension St. Vincent's Riverside in Jacksonville, Florida, implemented a needle-free tumor removal procedure using high-intensity focused ultrasound, which eliminates tumors with sound waves instead of incisions. The technology is guided by real-time imaging and aims to reduce recovery times and infection risks. Jeff Bezos and Peter Thiel are among the investors supporting this innovation. The hospital is the first in North Florida to adopt this method, which may lead to shorter patient stays, lower costs, and new opportunities for healthcare startups and providers.Learn more on this news by visiting us at: https://greyjournal.net/news/ Hosted on Acast. In this episode, we explore Carthera, a French biotech company developing novel ultrasound-based technologies to improve drug delivery to the brain. Based in Paris and spun out from academic research, Carthera is best known for its implantable device, SonoCloud, which uses low-intensity pulsed ultrasound to temporarily open the blood-brain barrier. This allows for increased drug penetration into brain tumors, addressing one of the major challenges in treating diseases like glioblastoma. This episode features leadership and key collaborators from Carthera, including CEO Frédéric Sottilini, who shares how his background in therapeutic ultrasound and medical device development helped guide the company's path from concept to clinical trials. We are also joined by Professor Alexandre Carpentier, MD, PhD, the neurosurgeon who founded Carthera, and Michael Vogelbaum, MD, PhD, Chief of Neurosurgery at Moffitt Cancer Center, who offers his perspective as a clinical investigator working with the company's technology. This episode offers insight into the intersection of engineering, neurosurgery, and translational research, and the collaborative effort required to develop new treatment tools for brain tumor patients. This week's episode blends tributes, culture talk, music debates, and the future of hip-hop. The show opens with a heartfelt acknowledgment of the late Diane Martel, the visionary music video director behind classics from Mariah Carey, Beyoncé, SWV, and Ciara. From there, the crew dives into the Fall Into Hip-Hop Sunday Series, kicking off cuffing season with top songs, cozy vibes, and artists who set the fall mood. The discussion heats up with updates on Young Thug's leaked jail calls, new track, and Glorilla's diss, raising questions about Atlanta's rap dominance. Then attention shifts to the shocking Charlie Kirk case, examining the broader impact of political violence and how rhetoric escalates. On the style and sports front, Angel Reese's sold-out sneaker release sparks conversation about women athletes in sneaker culture, while Shannon Sharpe's pivot from ESPN to cultural commentary highlights his growing crossover appeal. In music debates, the hosts weigh in on Jeezy vs. Pusha T, share their top comfort shows, and break down Cardi B's latest album and pregnancy reveal.
